Hung Yiying I just delivered my baby in May:) Dr. Ramseur is an amazing doctor with passion in his job! Every time we saw him, he was enthusiastic and gave us positive energy! And he delivers his patients as much as he can. I really appreciate the experience we have with him.

Gail Quinnan Did this wonderful man retire suddenly? The message says the "practice is closed" without elaborating. Anyone know what happened? There is nothing online. Thank you.

Jessica Davis I’ve just started going here. He’s very personable and really easy to talk to. I’ve had a bad experience with a different OB and he has been really helpful in explaining things that I would otherwise be unaware of. Edit: He was absolutely amazing! I had my son and he’s truly a wonderful doctor! I had some issues during my pregnancy and thought I may need an emergency c section but I managed a natural birth and I was so happy! He’s very diligent and makes sure stitches if need be are done correctly and that nothing is left behind, like gauze or placenta. Highly recommend!

Denise Russell Dr. Ramseur is AMAZING!! It would be a shame to let anyone’s negative comments about his office staff keep you away. He is a highly skilled OBGYN, compassionate AND has a great personality. I agree that the office staff will be the patients initial impression, fortunately, I have never encountered a rude exchange. I was online looking up his contact info so I could refer a friend and my eyes got wide when I saw his rating. I had to read through all the reviews to see what was going on. In truth, It has been a few years since my last visit to the office because I moved out of the area. But if I ever had anything major going on I’d fly in to see him because I have such confidence in him.

Ford Kate Absolutely the most incredible Dr on the Peninsula and probably in CA! Dr Ramseur has been my dr for well over 5 years now and I have to say despite my hatred of the medical community Dr Ramseur has changed my mind and shown me what an incredible health care provide does. Not only is he an amazing Dr but he is a kind and caring person who clearly lives to do his job and puts so much time and energy into his practice it shows. Dr Ramseur delivered my first baby and I am well into my second pregnancy but I became a patient of his *luckily* several years before having a baby. There has never at any point in my pregnancies (or prior for that matter) where I havent felt like a priority, heard, understood, or more importantly made to feel crazy for being scared or worried, no matter how irrational or how much google research I have done. Beyond Dr Ramseur being exceptional his entire office staff is kind, patient, helpful and inviting. You never walk in and feel like just another patient. While their clearly incredibly busy I still feel like top notch care is always provided by the whole team.

J Burd I highly recommend Dr. Rubin! She lovingly helped me through my cancer treatment during the pandemic. She went out of her way to help make my cancer treatments easier. She is a professional, knowledgeable, a great communicator, kind, patient, and compassionate. I couldn’t ask for more! The staff is great, especially my nurse Mallory and the talented lab techs. I am forever grateful.

Tina Marten I knew that I so to speak, “fell through the cracks” when Dr. Cunningham left the facility. I have not seen a Doctor since she left. I was informed Dr. Rubin would be my Doctor and I haven’t even met her. Today they cancelled my appointment with Dr. Zang when I thought I was finally going to meet Dr. Rubin. The nurse practitioners were great but no one seems to know anything about me when I come for appointments. I need a mammogram which has to be ordered by a Doctor and I guess I will go to my primary and just tell him to order it with labs and and an MRI. I’m done.

Calla Boo I had requested images for studies from medical records who told me to go to mychart. Then I called the Diagnostic Imaging department who said I can request it through Medical records or go to Marina since we live close to Marina. I went as suggested and the people there just did not seem to want me to request images from them and did not make me feel welcome. I had to go twice since my doctor also wanted a images from a different modality. Inside of sending me through hoops and hurdles if the Medical Records department would have just said they would take care of it, it would have been better. Instead I felt I was given the run around and then felt even worse requesting my own records.

Patricia Hittner OConnell Montage Health appears to be the parent company of the hospital based in Monterey, as well as the affiliated hospice. Because of this association, healthcare for elderly patients appears to be compromised. This is the review I wrote for Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula. My Dad was hospitalized there on August 28, 2023 for a kidney infection. He was then pushed into hospice, which has been disastrous. Here is my Google review for CHOMP: "This hospital has an affiliated hospice, which, quite frankly, is a conflict of interest. Be careful if your loved one is elderly. As your loved one is recovering, and getting ready for discharge, hospice will descend. Or at least thats our experience. The hospital/hospice tried to recruit my Dad three years ago. He was hospitalized after a fall. Fortunately a family member was able to fend them off. Dad returned home, became ambulatory and enjoyed a decent quality of life. I hate to think of what would have happened if we had agreed to hospice back then. Recently, we werent so lucky. Dad was hospitalized again late last summer with a kidney infection. Despite his age he made a remarkable recovery with antibiotics. But instead of helping him get back on his feet, the hospital allowed its affiliated hospice to do what it does best: Recruit vulnerable patients. Hospice has been disastrous. Going on hospice means plans are being made for your impending death. (We were told Dad was going to die soon.) Thats why nothing is done to rehabilitate you. Dont expect physical therapy. Dont expect anyone to care if you ever leave your bed again. Dont expect anyone to do anything other than prepare for your death. In fact, within a week of being on hospice the nurse passed along a message to a family member that Dad would probably die within a "few days." However, this made no sense. Dad had just rallied, responding very well to antibiotics. He was alert and talking in the hospital. Why was he suddenly sleeping all the time now? I called the nurse and begged her to consider that he could have another UTI. Everyone with a passing knowledge of geriatrics knows that urinary infections in the elderly can cause a wide range of symptoms, and can even mimic impending death. Plus Dad had just been hospitalized for a kidney infection. However, the hospice nurse was dismissive when I called her on September 14, 2023. At that time, she would not agree to culture his urine. No one took my concerns seriously, until Dad began urinating blood. Finally his urine was cultured. He began showing signs of another possible UTI in late October/early November. Once again, no treatment until he began to urinate blood. Ive reached out to hospice, begging them to please do something proactively, to prevent these repeated infections. All I want is decent care for my Dad. He deserves it. Ive reached out to the CHOMP compliance department with various complaints about hospice. (No response.) Ive reached out to Medicare to try to get help. Medicare was wonderful, going so far as to call hospice on my behalf. My Dad is a strong man. He is a US Army veteran. He survived two tours in Vietnam. He also survived cancer twice, including a recurrence of the original cancer. But I fear he wont survive hospice and its lousy care. (Dad would be off of hospice if it were up to me but its not.)"

Jaia Lin The Doctors are great but LORDY scheduling is getting ridiculous! I was just trying to book my kids well-child visits and was told that I have to follow MPPG on social media to find out when they’re releasing my doctors new schedule 6 months out!!! OR if I’m not on social media I have to call them every day the next couple of weeks to find out when the schedule opens 6 months out because they don’t know until that day. Plus often when I call you’re on hold 40 minutes! As if parents have that kind of time! Please MPPG, make scheduling easy for us like all other pediatricians I’ve ever seen before and just let us call and schedule an appointment for our doctor’s next available date!
2 /5
Tara Vavrik I love the doctors here. However, the scheduling staff and policies are making me want to pull my hair out. I try to book my infants appointments at the office but they wont let me book 3 months in advance. So that means I have to call a 2 months before. I call 2 months before, the schedule is either all booked up or not available. So I call a month in advance the day they say to call at the minute they open. I was on hold for over AN HOUR!!!! Im debating on switching at this point because they cant get it together.

Sophia Burd Our pediatricians were great, but once they switched Portal services I lost all access to my childs records and I have been trying for months to get copies with no luck. If youre a military family, consider finding an office that gives you access because once you move its a nightmare.
1 /5
Taylor Rahnavard I echo some of these previous reviews. The doctors are great but the scheduling is a complete nightmare. Up until recently they only allowed scheduling 2 months in advance which was such a trip having to remember to call because they filled up so fast. Now out of nowhere, no emails or messages about a new scheduling change, they are scheduling 6 months in advance. Tried making my child’s 3 year appointment in her birthday month of March (called in January to coincide with their 2 month in advance policy) and they won’t see her until May now because they’re full. Will I change? Probably not. But would I recommend this place? Probably not either.

P Veatch Cannot recommend this place enough! We were patients of FNP Erin Carter ever since our child was born. Her bedside manner is outstanding and I’ll search for such an excellent provider probably for the rest of my life. As a first time mom I was very anxious, had a lot of questions and worries. FNP Carter never rushed me, answered everything and reassured me. She is fantastic! We saw other providers at MPPMG as well and they were very good. I also saw a lactation consultant who did absolute wonders for me as a new mom. Sadly, we had to move to a different state, but if we’re ever back in the area, I won’t think twice, I’ll go to MPPMG. I wish there were adult doctors as great as the pediatricians at MPPMG.

Alexis Maceira I felt totally dismissed and unheard and they just kept trying to push pain meds on me for an obvious infection and said it is getting better even though I was literally in tears as he pushed DIRECTLY onto the area I said hurt and I even told him the pain had increased since my last visit. but he obviously did not care and kept arguing with me about it. He didnt even bring up one of the issues the radiologist put on their report until *I* brought it up and then told me basically not to worry about it or get my own referral from my insurance. Zero stars.

Chris H Id give Dr Vierra 10 stars if I could. He has been nothing short of amazing. He no doubt is a great surgeon but what my wife and I are most grateful for is his bedside manner and his caring. He looked at her case and had his team call and get us in early which probably saved us from the worst weekend of our lives and then with a completely booked schedule got her in the very next business day because of the urgent nature of things. As soon as he got results of tests he let us know as soon as he knew and didnt make us wait a minute longer than we had to. We would have had to wait 2 days for results from the normal Dr, instead he reached out personally within minutes of him getting them. He just gets it and does everything he can for his patients. Amazing person and Doctor.

Dora Lott I struggled to decide between 4 and 5 stars because I had a really long wait due to only one provider being available. I decided on 5 because every staff member made it as easy as possible. I was able to go home and wait rather than stay in the waiting room, and received a call when my time was approaching. In my experience, clinics aren’t organized enough to allow for that. All the desk staff and people on the phone were super nice, as well as the doctor and nurses!

A Absolutely horrible, horrible service. Took my dad in with for chest pain and flu like symptoms. We wound up waiting in the lobby for 3.5 hours after we were told there was only one doctor at the clinic. Then the nurse took us in to the doctor’s room and she said “doctor will be right in”. Took the doctor 1 hour to show up. So we had to wait 4.5 hours to be seen by the doctor. I don’t understand what how medical is practiced in this state anymore.

Enter ‘Doctors on Duty’, a kind of retail medical group that treated me with professionalism and compassion. They have seen me through a variety of ailments, large and small. I have particularly been grateful for two different female doctors on the staff, both brilliant and compassionate. Thank You, DoD!!!

Daichi Sanssouci I am a senior citizen who has dealt with military doctors as well as civilian doctors here in California as well as Europe. Never in my life have I experienced healthcare as bad as what Montage Medical Group provided. Everything about Montage represents what is truly wrong with our healthcare system from trying to make an appointment or having a prescription refilled. Everything was a problem. One of the biggest problems however was the fact that my medical records contained incorrect information regarding my health. When these issues was brought to the attention of the office manager I was discharged as a patient from all of Montage Health. This left me without any doctors and I had to frantically search for new providers not affiliated with Montage. I found a great Cardiologist from Stanford and found a new general medicine doctor in downtown Monterey. I also notified the board of directors from Montage and was never contacted. Montage is definetly a true failure when it comes to providing healthcare to patients.

Aqua I have had nothing but exceptional experiences at my clinic. Dr. Chase, in particular, has been outstanding. She has consistently provided honest and straightforward guidance, working with me on every aspect of my health. Her dedication to patient care is evident in how she addresses all my concerns with utmost respect and attentiveness. Whenever I needed medical attention or a referral to a specialist, there was never any delay. I was always able to see the specialist promptly, which speaks volumes about the clinics efficiency and commitment to patient care. The personalized attention I receive from the medical team makes me feel that the care is genuinely tailored to my needs. Every visit has reinforced my appreciation for how the clinic operates. The professionalism, respect, and promptness of the entire staff have made my healthcare journey smooth and reassuring. I highly recommend this clinic for anyone seeking top-notch medical care.

I walked in and got an appointment immediately. I waited no more than ten minutes. I saw a PA who diagnosed my problem immediately and I was on my way get get my prescription filled. Janelle Garcia Before I begin, I am aware that each individual has their own opinion and personal experience with this doctor. My experience with this doctor was not the greatest and this is just my personal opinion. I usually prefer female doctors just because I feel a lot more comfortable with them. However, when I first interacted with the doctor, she seemed nice but at the same time very dismissive about a few concerns I had. That was the first sign I noticed. I Scheduled multiple appointment to give her another chance. Again, I still felt that disconnection with her because of her short responses and the lack of engagement. What frustrated me was when I tried to open up to my doctor about my acute depression and lack of sleep due to all the stress I was having during my college years (back 2017). She gave me short answer by referring me to get a sleep test and kept on insisting on taking antidepressants instead of other natural alternative (ex: exercise or sleep early etc). My previous doctors that I had were culturally aware of their patients and knew exactly how to engage with them and provided a welcoming environment (the doctors moved out of town). I no longer see Dr. Parks due to other experiences. I still strongly believe that this doctors lacks on figuring out how to engage with their patients and lack of enthusiasm. Once again, this is my personal opinion but you all might have different experiences with Dr. Parks.

B Ramz As a new patient I have a Positive and Negative review. Dr. Nilmeier is a great Osteopath who’s treating patients there part-time. He has a pleasant manner, he listens and provides effective gentle body work as well as traditional medical care. However the front office is below par in: Answering calls, scheduling appointments and general communication with patients (every call requires being put on a long hold). They appear overwhelmed and under-staffed. They now require a “yearly administrative fee” of $xxx; although for 2020 this fee is only good for 6 months, and it’s payable again in January 2021. I hope they get their act together soon because they’re in a great location to serve many local patients.

Caitlin Burch I cannot complain about this place enough. They charge an annual fee of $150. That fee is for them to convert from a paper office to a digital one (which seems like it should be their expense not the customers to me.) The doctor was kind but unhelpful and sent me home with no options when I came in. Then the staff called two days later with additional paperwork they wanted me to come back in and do and I told them I did not want to take more time off of work. They arent digital so they do not have an email address. Next, 4 months after my visit I got a paper bill for an additional $230. When I made my appointment originally I had asked about my insurance coverage with their practice and this was not divulged. I was told I only had to pay a $20 copay. So now I am expected to pay $380 for nothing. I truly wanted help with a medical issue and now Im just out a bunch of money which is really sad.

Absolutely unacceptable.

Grace Marquez Location is easy to find close to the DMV, parking is semi private so it feels safer. I set up an appointment online easily and the office was very communicative when confirming my appt and answering questions prior to my date. Literally just got my birth control implant out which was easy enough and the nurses where very nice and gave me a lot of information and options to make me feel comfortable. I just had to wait about 1.5 hours for my scheduled appt, most likely due to insurance stuff, but make sure to donate to a wonderful cause that helps the community with basic healthcare

S T I am so glad I came across Planned Parenthood on search engine & chose them for my surgical abortion. It was a very stressful time for me, I couldn’t find any appointments anywhere. Planned Parenthood had availability in seaside location. It was 2 hrs away from me but I still went ahead and booked it. I was very anxious about the whole procedure but upon arrival they went over everything and made me feel comfortable. The nurses kept asking me if I was feeling okay or if I had any questions. They explained each step in detail as there were multiple steps. The staff was very soft spoken and caring, which is so so important during this emotional time. Not only that, the staff was very professional also. They knew exactly what they were doing. I was a little hesitant as the google reviews are not good. I am so glad I chose Planned Parenthood. They took such good care of me. Thank you!

Yi Yang This is a terrible hospital. My family just moved in. My husband and I went to see a doctor for the first time. My husband has diabetes and will soon have to see a doctor to prescribe medicine. The doctor asked us to do a blood test to check our blood concentration. If the blood is too concentrated, he can recommend blood donation. About 20 days after we had the blood drawn, we received a fee of $1,700. After that, the insurance was deducted (we have Anthem medical insurance). I cant believe that we didnt receive any reports from the hospital or written notices from the doctor about our health status during the period when we received this bill. This is the first time we have seen the doctor of this hospital and he didnt tell us how to check the report. During this period, my husband didnt receive the medicine prescribed by the doctor, so he went to the hospital to find the staff the day before yesterday. They replied that the doctor would contact us on Monday, but they still didnt contact us. (The doctor wrote a new prescription for medicine) From 08/24/2024 to 20/12/2024, we didnt get any information about our health from this hospital. But I received a second reminder for such an irresponsible hospital and doctor. I have the responsibility to say that I dont want other patients who dont know this hospital to experience what we have.

LORRAINE GERSTL I found the woman at the front door who takes your temperature to be really rude, dismissive an un-co-operative. There was one person in the waiting room. She made me stand outside in the cold for 5 minutes while she went back into her office. She seemed totally put out that I wanted to have a shot, which I was told by the doctor, required no appointment, and that I could drop in at any time. She brusquely told me that i would have to wait an hour to have this shot!!! When I asked her to please check with the nurse, she turned on her heel, went into the office and came back saying it was too late anyway. It was 4:09!!! I am really disappointed at this treatment. It is not as if I wasnt prepared to pay for this shot. I am sure I would not have been treated this way at any other doctors office.

Daniel Vital I relocated last summer from Illinois and needed a primary care doctor. As a cancer survivor I go to specialists follow-ups every 6-months, and a primary doctor contact is fundamental. I was hoping to find one near where we live. When I scheduled my appointment as a New Patient they made me wait for three months. Then, when the visit date almost arrived I received a call that the doctor was not available and needed to reschedule. Another three months to wait. Im appalled about this experience. I never had the honor of being their patient, a 6 months wait for a new patient visit is something no one can afford. Its better to say they cant accept new patients instead of being slow and unreliable.

Brianna Sims i saw dr. Keiko Saito, it was one of the worst experiences i have ever had Practically walked out of the room and told me she couldn’t help me at all. I came in with extreme pains and she told me to do what i was already doing and i told her i needed help finding something that would help my problem. I also showed her exactly where one of my problems was and she could not find it at all and she didn’t even try to really find it. She talked insanely fast and i could barely understand the conversation we were having. I couldn’t keep up with her and she seemed to ignore absolutely everything i was saying. She didn’t not seem to care one little bit and seemed to just want to get out of that room with me as fast as possible. I never complain about things because i understand they have other patients, but that was absolutely awful. I would never see her again. When she left the room she got up and walked out, she did not tell me i was okay to go or anything so i was completely frustrated and confused at this point.

Julie Conover This “medical” group is a complete joke. Don’t waste your time on endless hold to be told you can’t get an appointment for 8 months. And this is for an existing patient who’s doctor has left the group. In fact, don’t live in Monterey if you expect to need any healthcare or elderly care services. And best advice is to leave the USA and go live in one of the many places in the world where you can get excellent healthcare. The medical industrial complex in America is broken, unless you are a CEO or shareholder.

Alisha Ziadeh While I appreciate everything this office does, they are not really good with follow through. I waited a month for important test results and called them once a week while they continued saying the doctor hasnt signed off on them yet. Now I need a follow up ultrasound appointment and every time I call the medical assistant is not in the office, Ive been trying for 2 weeks just to get in touch with someone to be able to schedule it when they were supposed to be the ones to call me.

Jaylin Jayubo I have just moved to Monterey County, this was my first choice for obgyn because of location & insurance purposes. Ive been under Dr. Nina Amelio-Simulciks care & I have to say she is the absolute BEST obgyn Ive had. Ive moved around a lot thus far and Ive had a handful of doctors. But no one has been as kind, caring, & informative as Dr. Simulcik. I can tell and feel she genuinely cares about her patients. I love coming into the office knowing that Ill be cared for. As for the office staff, they are kind and timely. They answer the phone everytime I call & always call back when needed. As long as I reside in Monterey County, I will always recommend Montage OBGYN to woman.

Naomi Gomes When calling call a car its to confirm the address thats on file on my chart come to find out its in Carmel not Monterey so that is confusing as all hell for someone like myself that has a short leash for any confusion and Im bipolar. They cant find the address even with the number because the facility was named wrong. It just made it harder for me to make a reservation to make it to see anyone you guys need to fix this immediately on MyChart.

Madi Parker The doctors I had here were wonderful. Nothing against them. The people working the front desk are not helpful. I had to have my last name changed at every single appointment I had. It somehow never stuck. They lost tests results. They never sent over my medical release forms after I filled them out. Again, the doctors here were great, but the receptionists made going here a nightmare.

Les Lee There is a particular employee here (receptionist) that is passive aggressive. Aside from her rudeness, I have overheard this young girl and another receptionist gossiping about a client whom one of them had just talked to over the phone. Its just unprofessional and makes this office look bad. On the other hand, the nurses are extremely kind and welcoming, and so is the doctor.
