Jordan Knight Dr. Gundry has been treating me and my entire family for over a decade. He has made us all healthier and I would put money on it that he is also adding decades to our lives! Yes, he does sell a lot of supplements- but honestly he makes good products. He provides so much information for free, he deserves to make a buck! This man is an encyclopedia and continues to learn and research to this day.

Melody S. I reached out to Dr. Gundrys office in July to help me with the aftermath of chemo. For the past 18 months, I have been battling stage three cancer and its toll on my body. My decision was influenced by his ad on Instagram, with promising solutions for inflammation and gut issues. Debbie, from his office emailed that a series of blood draws and labs would be required, for a cost of $1300 to $1600 which my insurance would not cover. The email listed two labs for me to contact, with a specific directive not to use Quest or Lab Corp. Tracy Brown from LL Labs called me, an entity not mentioned in the email, to schedule an appointment for an out of pocket fee. I was left perplexed as to how they acquired my contact, considering privacy laws. I soon learned that Laurie Acuna, the founder of LL Labs, is also an employee in Dr. Gundrys office. On 9/19 When Laurie arrived at my home, she did not use the vials provided by the lab companies. Instead, she took all the boxes containing the vials, which raised concerns about the handling of my medical information. On 10/2, Luz at Dr. Gundrys office emailed me, stating that the test called Myeloperoxidase (MPO) needed to be retested, as the phlebotomist had failed to provide a sample, requesting that I go to Quest for the redraw. When I contacted Tracy at LL Labs, she appeared displeased and promptly ended the conversation. On 10/5, I received an email from Susan Lokken, Dr. Gundrys office manager, saying that the error lay not with the phlebotomist but rather with Cleveland, for losing the vial. Once again, I reached out to Tracy at LL Labs, and her response was terse and unhelpful. I explained that shortly I would be undergoing two challenging surgeries, all while battling pneumonia. She agreed to send Laurie back for one vial of blood, albeit at a very high additional cost, which took me by surprise. I left a message for Dr. Gundrys office to try to resolve this issue.
On 10/18, the day after my mastectomy, I received an email from Jessenia P. in Dr. Gundry’s office, asking me to go to Quest for the blood draw. In response, over email, I expressed my disappointment, explaining that the purpose of paying LL Labs was to avoid the long lines at a lab. I subsequently received an email from Susan Lokken, Dr. Gundrys office manager informing me, "there was no mistake made and no one failed". She said I had high potassium levels in my blood sample so they could not run the (MPO) test." She emphasized that this was not LL Labs fault. I encountered three different explanations for the missing vial of blood. Only two weeks prior, Ms. Lokken had emailed me that the Cleveland Lab had most likely lost the vial of blood. At every juncture, the priority seemed to be protecting their colleague, the founder of LL Labs. Unfortunately, I had no recourse with LL Labs, given that it is a family-run enterprise, leaving no avenue for addressing grievances. Ms. Lokken informed me that she was the only office manager for Dr. Gundrys practice and asserted that nothing unethical had occurred. She firmly defended LL Labs, and declared they did "NOTHING" wrong and there was nothing more to discuss, essentially dismissing my concerns. She further accused me of impoliteness toward staff, a matter that left me perplexed, as the majority of my interactions with Dr. Gundrys office occurred through email due to difficulties reaching anyone by phone. It is a familiar tactic, often employed by unprofessional office staff when faced with patient concerns - attempting to deflect the issue by blaming the patient for being abusive.
I am left with concerns about the treatment of patients in this practice. While I understand that misunderstandings occur, I believe it is important to prioritize patient care, open communication, and empathy. I question whether these principles are consistently upheld within this office. Patients who seek out Dr. Gundrys office are dealing with very difficult health issues and should receive the highest standard of care and support. Unfortunately, that is not the case here.

Joseph Ramos I had major issues for about a year and a half. I had already read all Dr. Gundrys books and was following his mainstream advice so I thought going to his actual practice might be the answer. It took about 6 months to actually get to meet him in person. The office staff were nice to me and I had no issues there. When I looked at the other patients there, most seemed overweight and just generally not that healthy. I felt like 90% of them could have just read the plant paradox and fixed themselves. My only gripe with the doctor is that he treats leaky gut exclusively as a root cause when for me it was actually a symptom. All the advice he gave was valid though and I got some good insights into my bloodwork. I stopped seeing him after I realized he couldnt resolve my problem and am leaving this review now only because a year and a half later another doctor actually did find and resolve my issue. To most people Id say save your time and money and just read his books. If you have an auto immune condition that seems only to stay at bay by eating clean but never actually goes away I wouldnt look to conventional or functional medicine for the solution. The good news is youre at least not going to get bad advice or misdiagnosed as Ive seen with other doctors. I have great reverance and respect for the doctor, just docking 1 star as he wasnt able to resolve my paticular issue.

Maureen Warkentine Dr. Steven Gundry is the Doctor I have searched my entire life for, and thats 70 plus years. My wish was to find an excellent physician who believes in prevention via nutrition vs pharmaceutical prescriptions. He is a brilliant Doctor, and if possible an even better researcher. He has written over 300 medical papers and continues with his in depth research. I dont know how anyone can dispute the scientific research done by this great Doctor and his peers.
My husband and I have been on his Protocol for 7 months and our health is completely turning around. The supplements he recommended to us have improved all of our cholesterol numbers, we are no longer Pre-Diabetic and the very best is how we feel- which is fantastic. A Bonus has been the lost weight too.
I am so grateful for Dr. G
