L Health For me to walk away from my incredible and caring doctor here (Dr. Tantamjarik) after about 8 years as his patient indicates just how atrocious and irresponsible some if not all the front desk staff is here. Just before I left the staff had not only totally stopped answering calls but they also completely ignored my messages which appears to be a theme here. I don’t mean they were delayed in responding by a week or two they just *never* responded. It didn’t matter if I left messages with my name and phone number. It eventually got to the point where we would’ve been forced to drive about 25 minutes one way to talk to the staff in person (which we’d done occasionally but never at this level) just to ask a question or schedule an appointment. That’s not sustainable. Don’t enroll here unless you’re willing to drop in if you need care and/or don’t need frequent care. I didn’t want to write this review but the staff has got to improve. They only started getting bad this year and used to be ok. I’m really not sure why the staff is allowed to behave this way because I truly believe this problem is fixable. The horrible staff could negatively impact patient care as they have in my case since it’s not easy to start over after 8 years. I won’t be surprised if their reckless disregard for patients results in a patient being harmed or killed one day so how they’re acting is serious. What bothers me more is other reviewers saying they see the front desk staff wasting time and being malicious. I still haven’t found a doctor nearly as wonderful as the doctor I had here and because of that I’m not as on top of my care as I usually am and delay or even don’t pursue care I need because I don’t feel comfortable with or like the new doctors and get exhausted finding a good one. I’m sad I had to leave but I needed a front desk staff that can communicate well in a timely manner and knew my health was at stake here. I can only hope the staff here is put in the shoes of all the patients who have left because of them and understand how it feels to be neglected when you need help. I usually had to deal with Liliana (Lily) who another patient mentioned and if you’re not patient ask to speak to someone else. She’s like talking to a broken record and can’t answer simple questions. She once asked me over and over again (at least 8 times) what my birthday was then she’d repeat it back to me.. nothing else. I finally just hung up. It was so bizarre I wondered if she was messing with me. I find it interesting how I couldn’t get a call back for important things but the moment I left a voicemail saying I’m switching doctors she called right away. I really hope she’s retrained.

David Terrible staff. For my first two visits in this office things went fairly smoothly. After that it became a complete mess. I wouldnt put the blame on the doctors as they were solid in their procedures and I felt well informed. The front office staff is horrible. I had some issues with my insurance and asked them for advice, Im not exactly an expert on how insurance groups, policies etc., work, and they were visibly bothered by my asking. Little to no help at all. Spent hours on the phone trying to sort out my issue and once I had, their system wouldnt update so they wouldnt see me. On another day, I was trying to get in contact with them so I called time and time again and they simply wouldnt answer. Since the office is so close to my home I decided to drive over to setup and appointment and when I walk in what do I see? One of the receptionist is SLEEEPPIINNGGG. I make a call while in the office and to my surprise no phone is ringing. THEY MUTED THE PHONE. The only indication a call is coming in is a flashing light. People take days off of work to go to the doctor and deal with their medical concerns. The staff doesnt care and its disgusting. Get a different job, the health care industry is not for you.

Manuel I dont recommend taking your kids here the front desk people are always talking and on their personal phone I feel like Im dealing with a teen girl who doesnt care about their job (no professionalism). Now the Doctors well one is really old and doesnt always understand the questions your asking she seems to be declining not good if your a doctor the other one Ive dealt with is very petty and will get upset if you ask questions then make passive aggressive remarks also their record keeping is horrible

Jamie Rose In 2014, I quit smoking. 3 months after quitting, I started to have difficulty breathing and felt like I was breathing razor blades. I came here, and they got me right in and gave me a breathing treatment. The guy nurse was so nice. He was so kind and respectful. They had asked me multiple questions to find out how it started, and I had let them know I just quit smoking a few months prior. I didnt have insurance at the time, I was taking care of my grandparents there in Orange. The meds were around 300 dollars. When I got the bill for the hospital treatment, it was completely paid for. My experience here was amazing. Its been 10 years, and I never smoked again.

pedro ramirez If I could leave 0 stars I would. Don’t come here. I was only here because there was a mix up in my insurance. I was here on Christmas morning for my gallbladder stones, to which I was told I was going to have a surgery to remove them. However, that was not the case. I stayed 3 days after completely unattended, was told the doctors didn’t know what to do and the supervisor in ICU was being so rude about visiting hours and refusing to let my wife stay with me on Christmas night. The staff kept telling me that they were trying to figure out what to do, get in contact with doctor and the surgeon. The surgeon “came to see me” and then left? The staff was looking for my chart and had lost it? Very unprofessional, kept me waiting in pain and hadn’t eaten in 3 days due to the “surgeon coming to prep me.” Don’t come here. My wife finally discharged me because she refuse to let them attend me and got me to UCI where in 1 hour they did much more. Global took 3 days.

Bel Red1 Our 84 year old mom was taken to this hospital by an ambulance due to her fall and she had some trouble communicating. She was admitted to the ICU burn unit where beds were available. It was recommended that she stayed overnight for further testing and that she would be sedated and given some oxygen. When my sister came to visit the next morning, she was a little surprised that our mom was on a ventilator. On the 3rd day, an MRI was done and it showed that our mom had a minor stroke. Due to being on a ventilator, she went into a coma and was not able to breathe on her own again, had my sister been informed of the risks, she may not have agreed to it.

Shayan Dilshad I go here for my appointments. I recommend Roger Ngaha. He listens to what I say. He’s not those dirty pill mill psychiatrist who throws many combinations of addicting medications at you. He listens and actually takes the time to see what my issues are. He always willing to speak to me. Never pushes me to do something I am not 100% comfortable with. Sometimes with my voice it can be hard to understand me but he’s a great listener. I have no idea why these people gave him bad reviews. He’s a really nice guy, he’s pleasant to talk to. Very well mannered individual.

Alyssa Rogers Very nice staff and doctor; however, the doctor doesn’t have any sanitary skills. I felt gross leaving my appointment. Anyways, I’ve been trying to get my prescription filled for the last few weeks (which should have been an automatic fill) and cant get a hold of anyone. I would sit on the call for over 30 minutes every time I called. I don’t recommend.

Calvin Bryne I had a terrible time with this office. I waited for roughly an hour to see the doctor. When I was finally able to meet with him, he had two other people in the room--one to take notes and another "trainee." He proceeded to handle our interaction entirely unprofessionally and in a manner that made clear to me that he lacked both an understanding of my medical issue and basic human empathy. He then shipped me out to a different office for bloodwork and said that he would refill a basic, recurring prescription. He never filled the prescription. I have called his office repeatedly, and have been told that he "will do it today" twice. I have now given up entirely. At the end of the day, this was a huge, upsetting hassle that provided me with no medical treatment. I would avoid this office at all costs.

TJ Kinion Ive been meaning to write this review for a while and feel bad that I didnt take the time to warn other people sooner. As Ive seen, since I visited Dr Cancholas office about 9 months ago, it seems like a lot of other people have had a similarly horrible experience to me. The only positive about Dr Cancholas office is that the nurses and PAs working there were friendly. And thats where it ends. Simply put, this man should not be practicing medicine. Im not sure what medical malpractice entails but if its misdiagnosing people, refusing to physically assess patients, and creating a dirty/unhealthy office space, then he checks all those boxes. How can someone practice medicine and not actually see what issues the patients have. This man sat 10 feet away, used "covid safety" as an excuse, and then transcribed what was going on to an assistant in the room. For more context, I was there to get my broken finger looked at, ask about a weird reaction that I was having on my lip, and asking about genetic testing since I was about to get married and thinking about having kids. Heres what happened... -He/his office ordered an X-ray for my finger but listed the wrong one. This was after he told me in the office "Im not sure how long a recovery would take, Im not that kind of doctor." -The allergy test he ordered for my lip only included nut allergies to be tested. Why would you only test one single thing? -Then when asking about genetic testing to ensure that my wife and I arent at risk for passing things along to our children he said, "Why does everyone want to test for these, I cant order you one since the last time I did, the patients insurance didnt cover it and I lost money." Google reviews dont seem to go a long way in the medical community, but if you have any control over where you can go, avoid this place at all costs. Thankfully my broken finger and irritated lip were not serious. I truly feel bad for the people with serious issues who visit Dr Canchola only to receive bad diagnoses, improper tests ordered, and likely end up worse than when they first walked in.

Whitney Elizabeth Miranda This hospital saved my life I was dying I needed emergency surgery and they took care of me two nights in hospital, after surgery. The doctor was great and nurses were very nice and always came for me when I called or when I was due for medication. The emergency room wasn’t bad but I did notice some weird attitude from one nurse and I noticed other reviews said similar. Luckily my mom and husband were there to help doctors navigate what was wrong with me which was unknown at first..

Sofia Avila My experience at South Coast Global Medical(Emergency) was deeply disappointing and disgraceful. I came in during a medical crisis, expecting compassionate and professional care but what i received instead was none of that at all. I was met with dismissiveness, neglect, and lack of concern for my well being. I was experiencing physical pain and panic symptoms which I made clear to the “nurse” at front. The nurse was not acting professional at all, I noticed a doctor walk in to work and he gave me a condescending look. Thats when I knew i definitely didn’t want to stay in an unsupportive environment in my condition and I left. I got better care somewhere else. I plan to report this place to the county as this was quite unacceptable.

Rania Dandan I was brought it the ER after a car accident. The doctor asked me a couple questions and I never saw him again. The attending nurse was rude. I was discharged and was never given results for the CT scan or chest x-ray. Only the sprain in my neck. was addressed. Overall, the hospital was not clean, service was horrible and staff was rude.

Christine Fernandez Both of my parents were admitted to this hospitals ER & ICU units this year, and I have nothing but praise and gratitude for the doctors, nurses, and staff there. They are extremely efficient, competent, and compassionate. They provided excellent support and thorough communication with all of our questions in a timely manner. Dr. Benavides, and ICU Nurses (Anna, Mimi, and Jeanette) were exceptional and are true earth angels. My family is forever grateful for all this hospital does. Thank you!

Denise The Dr has a plaque at the entrance we have. been patients here for 17 yrs never once seen him here physically at the office in Santa Ana. It had always been a provider for the time being they change constantly. They see kids and adults now. Waiting room is a mix of people the wait time is ridiculous. We had an appointment at 10 arrived at 9:50 .. its 11:30 we are still waiting for the dr ..

Matt Pham Went for a physical. The positive was I was seen 5 minutes after arriving for an appointment. I was assigned a RN instead of a primary care doctor. Physical was less than satisfactory. All the RN did was check breathing, eyes, and quick glance at mouth. No checking of my ears, heart rate, blood pressure, etc. Saw her for what seemed less than 2 minutes. Asked her about my occasional coughing, and she said "your lungs are clear just take cough drops." It really seemed like she wanted to move on to the next patient.

David G. Incompetent staff. This was my new doctor and he filled none of my medications from the previous doctor, when he said that he would. He wrote a new scrip for me and didn’t know how to write it so I had to call the office and tell them how. They do not answer pharmacy call requests. I have written two letters to this doctor and no response. You have to ask for the office manger to help you and she’s not much help at all. Then when the insurance company called to investigate, they said that I never told them that I had an issue. (dishonest, untrustworthy, altogether rude & extremely uncaring!) Please find another doctor.

They put me in a closet with a bed. The room didnt even have a trashcan. In the 7 hours i was there, everyone before and after me were put in a room with monitors, TV, etc. When i asked for some water, the nurse walked in the bathroom and gave me sink water, in what appeared to be a sample cup. In 7 hours i saw the doctor for 2 minutes. Dirt on the equipment in my closet room. Most of staff of rude. Not sure how it could be any worse.

Solccnye George I came in this hospital about 3 days ago I see a homeless girl just walk in the hospital without checking in. She takes off her shoes and puts her dirty feet on the chair and covers her head with a dirty brown blanket and starts talking on the phone and texting up under that blanket she is not a patient she just comes to sleep. I will never go back to this hospital ever again.

Charity Wilder While this hospital is a small, dated community hospital the staff is awesome. They have little resources to work with but do amazing with what they have. Amanda and Dr. Hernandez in ER took great care of me. I was moved to Med/Surg and had Harvey (I think was his name), Josie, Trish, Cassandra & Randy. In the Operating Room, Bernard and Lida took great care of me. Jonathan was the best anesthetic nurse I have ever had, and I have had LOTS of surgeries. If I am ever in the area and need care again I would not hesitate to return to this hospital. Yes, there was a 2 hour wait to get in the ER. Every other hospital I called was that long or longer. Its a small, personal hospital.

Moon I went in at 7am, waited two hours and it wasnt until 9:00am that I saw the doctor barely walking in. Still had to wait an additional 30-40 minutes (No one else was waiting besides me) after that decided I wanted to leave because I had to go back to work, and one of the nurses immediately tried convincing me to stay saying she’d get the doctor to assist me. Now tell me why the doctor literally comes 3 seconds later and does a check up on me while Im standing to leave. Then says Im all good don’t need anything but when I say alright heading to work, mentions then I would need a prescription?!

Nancy Report KPC to CFPB. After several attempts of asking for my itemized bill (over a course of a year) through Daisy Soto who played multiple games like asking me to fill out forms, provide my ID, they sold “my” debt to PMS. PMS finally provided my itemized bill, only for me to discover that they inflated their costs based on the NRV I downloaded from their website. In addition, they also added on additional services and items that were never rendered. And in regards of my visit, it was traumatizing. I came to the hospital incapable of moving and had vomit all over my face and chest area. After staying three for days, they left the vomit and urine untouched. There were also inmates and transients there who were being mistreated by staff. I cried every night when I was there since patients were screaming all through the night. The worst part is that there are so many people who aren’t aware of their fraudulent practices, adding onto their already precarious financial situation. How unfortunate for this institution to provide subpar care yet still have the audacity to take advantage of people in vulnerable positions…

We arrived in our own car and didnt occupy any hospital room and didnt stay overnight. They are refusing to provide an itemized(summary) bill. Stay away from this place unless you like to get phantom bills. DONT pay for non-itemized bills. DONT pay bills which have no detailed summary. Always DEMANDING to provide you itemized bills for FREE. They can ask you to go to some website to make a request there. Dont do this. They are obliged by the law of the US to provide you an itemized bill for free by your first request. Be aware.

The receptionist at fountain valley location said it was cancelled but “didn’t know when or by who”, gave me a number for Pasadena office which then transferred me to a call center… Cynthia Vasquez cancelled my appointment for no reason with “no note” in the system without notifying me… is it legal to cancel patient appointments for fun? Not notify them? And lie to their face in person and reschedule them a mother month out ???? Some one better do their damn job and fix this at the FOUNTAIN VALLEY LOCATION now!

James Kushon Lies and retaliation from a group of "medical professionals" that have incentive to do better because they have a constant feed of patients to matter how poor the service they deliver. What I write here may seem like a fabrication, I will swear an oath under penalty of perjury that everything in this review in 100% accurate: Synovation Medical Group is a pain management group in Southern California. They are also the sole provider of pain management services for 1 of only 2 or maybe 3 plan administrators for MediCal. In other words, they have a pipeline of patients constantly coming in their front doors, no matter what level of service they give. A few housekeeping things before we get into my specifics: Dr. Jain has been in their Santa Ana office for approximately 3 years. One of the options in their phone menu is to leave a message for your provider. In the 3 years Dr Jain has been in that office, she has never established an inbox on their phone system, yet the PA she replaced. her mailbox has remained the entire time. I cannot take my pain injections on a schedule due to the nature of my neck injury. I have to wait until the pain starts, then I schedule the shot (which is under full anesthesia). They did not make any accommodation and told me I had to wait 2 months. The clinical director, who does my shots, told me to message him through their system. Multiple messages to both him and my doctor have gone unanswered for months. When I had to schedule another injection, it was a 6 week wait and I was having considerable pain. I inquired about a waiting list. I was told there was none and the only way was to call the office every day. The next day, I used 2 different cell phones and I called the Santa Ana office 250 times. Not once did a human pick up and ALL voicemails were full. I drove there the next day and asked them about the phones. I was told they were working just fine and that I must be dialing the wrong extension. Without them knowing I was able to dial it right in front of them, it rang. I filed a complaint with my plan administrator. Synovation responded stating they reply to voicemails and emails within 24 hours and that patients are seen within 10 minutes. That is funny, my last appointment was 2:45 behind schedule and I was told that is modus operandi 6 in beds and the waiting room overflowing before the doctors even get in. Now it is 100% retaliation for my calling them to the carpet for their bad actions. Because my last injection had so little efficacy, Dr Jain referred me for an MRI. At the same appointment we made a followup appointment to go over the results of the MRI and determine next steps. I got the MRI and the findings, well less than stellar. 3 severely bulging discs, 4 sizable spurs, a reverse of the curvature and a few other things with the word severe in front of them. So last week, the day before the appointment I got a text confirming my appointment, I didnt realize it was for a different office, it is a PA from their Simi Valley office (Im in the City of Orange) calling me to do a medication check and that Dr Jain was out sick. He knew nothing about the MRI, the results were not in my chart, he was completely confused and he transferred me to the front desk. Shocker, I got voicemail. I played a hunch and called Synovation Santa Ana early the next morning, much to my not surprise, Dr Jain was in the clinic all day the day before, no sickness, nothing. I asked about an appointment with her because I needed to review my MRI… 6 weeks!!! When I finally had an appointment with the PA a week later, he suggested PT and maybe some chiropractic. The first he had even seen my MRI results was when he was on the phone with me. He was so tragically out of his depth it was palpable. The sad part is this review means nothing because their patient count will continue to grow because MediCal will continue to send them patients. I am grateful that Covered California was there for me when COVID took my business. Coverage is great, but I actually need healthcare from these people!!!
