carolyn mcdowell Dr Wesley has been a life saver for me and my 3 children. She leave NO stone unturned When it comes to caring for her patients. I wish I could clone her. I would highly recommend her for anyone that needs a doctor that is going to be caring and nurturing and be a true physician and care about your total health not just push you through a 10 minute office visit. If you are prepared to be accountable for your own health she will work with you on keeping you healthy, mentally and physically.

Stefanie Kaku I recently adopted a dog and needed to have a reliable local vet for him. Our family had been going to the vet that shares the space with PAH but sadly that office closed after decades. Dr Cohen was very kind, warm, humorous and easy to talk to. He recommended some things for my dog and some I declined and some I didn’t- I appreciated being informed without being pressured. The staff there is wonderful: everyone was friendly and attentive. I’m really glad to have such a good vet office so close by.

He will be performing surgery on my wrist, which I broke recently. The pricing was nothing bad as we had feared, and in fact seemed a bargain for the area.

We first started out at Carmel valley vet and realized they were not fulfilling our needs so we found Monterey Animal Hospital. We are glad we chose to come here as they have been great during our time in the Monterey area. We loved Dr. Mulder as she has treated both of our pups. My 10 year old Boston also had surgery here and the tech and her did a great job in his recovery and procedure. Our 3 year old lab mix developed allergies and was quickly treated as well. Highly recommend this veterinary location.

Our neighbor Betty here recommended Monterey Animal Hospital, and we are so glad she did. The doctors and staff at M.A.H. are excellent caregivers, and take the time to fully explain what your pet needs and why. Say I had a pleasant visit. Went there at around 2pm and it was empty, the receptionist was kind and took me in right away. The nurse was also very nice, the provider was thorough and very helpful. Highly recommend this facility. The overall visit took me less than an hour. It is also very clean and tidy.

She kept cutting me off and and assuming what I was saying about my condition, not hearing what I thought was valuable info. Rude with instructions and even pointed out saying there was "no nice way to tell me to stop talking." What the hell?

Mark Garibaldi I thought the process, including the online preregistration was very efficient. I was seen within 10 minutes of my appointment time. I was walking out of the door, on my way to pick out my prescription in less than 90 minutes including a X-ray. The staff was very friendly, respectful and professional. The PA (Christine) was a quick study of my condition. Vitals were taken promptly and the X-ray tech (Ingrid) was quick and efficient. I returned the next day to pick up my images etc. Excellent experience! Very professional operation!

I have never experienced someone with such a bad attitude before and horrible customer service. I will never be returning back here again. I am not the type to do reviews, however I feel inclined to do you can save your time and go somewhere else. She not only was rude after me being nice to her, however she also snapped the sunblock out of my hand. Right when she did that, I left without purchasing anything.

Pamela Hamilton Both my husband and myself have been patients at Westland House. Not only is the facility beautiful, but the nurses, assistants, PT, OT and RT staff are all amazing. Who else is amazing, is the chef! The meals are wonderful and work well to address your food likes and dislikes. Great variety. Breakfast, main meal of the day is lunch, then soup and salad, or soup and sandwich for dinner, sometimes just a wonderful spinach salad or chefs salad...loved it and changed the way we now eat at home. Five star all the way!

Terry Ermini I give Westland House the highest rating. The facility is beautiful and luxurious, my room was large with 3 big windows, a glass door and a private balcony. The care is superb. The nursing staff is attentive, friendly and skilled. The physical and occupational therapists are top-notch. And the food was surprisingly good. I had a wonderful experience being there and felt my recovery was excellent due to all the great care I received.

Amanda Wagner I cant say much for this place. My dad was supposed to return home after surgery but due to medicine reactions he was sent to Westland house instead. He wasnt happy with any of the food which resulted in a large weight loss in 2 weeks. Also resulting in a slower recovery. Ten days, no shower, really. A nurse was also not very pleasant. I guess yelling at sick or recovering patients is her thing. No thanks.

J M When I first started coming here I came from another office frustrated and in pain for 2 years. I switched to Dr Deldar hoping that it would be better. They exceeded my expectations. I feel like Dr Deldar and his staff really care about getting your life back, and do everything they can to help you manage your pain. My pain will always be with me due to my condition, but I can say that I am so much better than I have been in a really long time!

Atia Mohsenpour I have 3 herniated discs in my neck that cause uncomfortable, debilitating pain and tightness in my neck and shoulder area when I begin to have flare ups. I had previously been seeing another pain management doctor at Monterey Spine and Joint to treat the chronic pain, but because they are such a huge practice, the visits were always really rushed and I felt as if there was no rapport between me and my doctor. As my last cervical epidural had worn off after 2 years and I began to feel the symptoms of another flare up, I decided to find a new pain management doctor and found Dr. Deldar. Dr. Deldar and his staff are incredible! Working in healthcare, I absolutely appreciate an office with wonderful, kind front office staff and the girls up front are just so delightful. I greatly appreciated Dr. Deldar taking the time to explain what was going on with my neck and showing me my MRI from 2016, which I’d never actually got to see before. He answered my questions without making me feel hurried, and listened to all my concerns. He suggested trigger point injections to address my problem areas before I get another epidural. I had never received trigger point injections, but his nurse practitioner Annette made me feel so comfortable while she did them on me and assured me I would feel relief in a couple days. I am feeling pain free once again and so thankful to have found Dr. Deldar and his wonderful staff!

Carol Mcnutt Dr Deldar has been a lifesaver for me. I have chronic back painand he has been able to give me enough relief to be able to maintain a fairly active lifestyle. I have been seeing him for several years. His office staff are very nice and helpful. Since I have to maintain a relationship with him, it is nice to know I am always welcomed with sincere thoughts about how to maintain my pain relief. Right now a back ablation seems to work. I travel in an RV and know it is well worth the trip to see him and receive the best care I can get.

Susan Cheuvront I no longer live in Monterey, or even in CA. Dr. Behnam was my doctor for quite a few years that I lived there. I was extremely overextended and stressed out much of that time, simply due to my employer at the time. I knew deep down I should leave, but it seemed insurmountable to start all over, so I lived with the stress. I remember Dr. Behnam telling me one time, “If you lose your job, you get a new one. If you lose your health, you can’t get that back.” That did register at the time, but leaving still seemed insurmountable. I did, finally, end up leaving, but with my mental health in tatters and my physical health starting to follow suit. 5 years later, I’m now a lot better, but it took a lot of work to turn things around. I’m now semi-retired, and plan work around my life, and I own my time. I’ll never forget what she said to me and how right she was. I think of her often.

John Bruestle Showed up for my first visit after waiting a month to see him. I gave the office staff my Blue Shield card and, my Medi-cal card as a second provider. I have Medi-cal because I was unemployed during Covid because I lost my job. I sat down to fill out new patient forms and the front desk person went into the back and to check something. She returned with the office manager and she informed me that they cannot take me as a new patient because I have Medi-cal. I have Blue Shield PPO and my Medi-cal is still active so I use it as a secondary. I explained that my Blue Shield insurance gets billed and not Medi-cal. I called my insurance groups customer service phone number to check their information and they are completely wrong on their information about Medi-cal and billing and I felt very demeaned and degraded. Dr. Issvorans employees made me feel very sub-standard and it gave me a preview of what was to come from the rest of his staff and his practice.

Tammy Martinez Dr. Issvoran has been my doctor for a few years and also my husband’s doctor. He’s a great doctor and listens too your needs. Dr. Issvoran is thorough and helps in any way he can. I get in and out quick and I can get an appt as soon as next day if I need it.

Daniel Bursch Had seen him a few times several years ago. It had been a while (yes, there was a pandemic) so I called for an appointment. The front staff asks about insurance. I said I now have medicare/tricare. She says she will need to check because of the medicare. She calls back and says they cannot take me, claiming it had been too long (over 3 yrs since my last appointment). Sooo....like the reason changed. Not the way to treat a veteran!! I think he is good but the front staff is unorganized and overworked. Good luck!

I just got my full blood panel results, and Im doing great: Dr. Issvoran has been sending me to do a Boston Heart panel (a third party not associated with him, but trustworthy and thorough) and adjusting his recommendations to improve my numbers. He is so knowledgeable! Hell sit with you and explain every result, recommendation, and option. He discusses whats best for you: he will tell it to you straight because he cares, he wont prescribe just because its the easy way out of a symptom, he will focus on healing and improving your health long term. I got my husband to switch doctors to him as well. We, at 40+, are in the best shape of our lives thanks to him!

The always get an honest and very well/educated opinion, and when sugery is necessary the results are the absolute best possible! Such was the case when I developed progressive severe abdominal pain while I was at the Santa Cruz boardwalk with my 11 children. Before long I could hardly walk, and I was in terrific pain, with chills. My son drove me to CHOMP hospital in Monterey, and we were met by Dr. Mark Vierra. I told him it was my gallbladder. He agreed, but he ordered a STAT ultrasound anyway. It was read as "normal!" He looked at me and said, "I still think its your gallbladder! What do you think? I agreed, so he decided to do emergency surgery. If turned out the gallbladder had stretched out to 3-4 x normal size, and it was gangrenous. There were already several tiny areas of leakage, and it looked like it was sbout to explode! He took it out, and I was able to go home and work the next day. If he had paused and waited for more testing, he felt that the gallbladder would have literally exploded inside me within an hour. His good judgement saved my life! Roberts James “JHR” This man is amazing: Calm, thoughtful, considerate and genuinely concerned about the welfare of his patients. He takes as much time as necessary to examine and diagnose your issue(s) then suggests treatment(s) which he thoroughly explains. Alternatives are likewise explained. Im not a fan of the current assembly line method of practicing medicine so I feel fortunate to have met Doctor Vierra as he is of that old school philosophy Ive missed for many years. Im comfortable that Im in skilled hands.

Diane Kremer Went to Dr Ganeles in 2022 after being diagnosed with stage 4 MBC. She was straightforward and caring from the beginning. Her treatment recommendation took my tumor from 2.8 cm to gone in 6 months. She followed my progress every step of the way, seeing me weekly and answering all my questions. She spends as much time as you need answering questions and supporting both my husband and me thru this journey. I feel that she has not only saved my life, she has also improved it. I highly recommend her services. Her staff is great. They make it easy to make appointments and get the meds I need. Wonderful experience considering the circumstances.

Jena Rogers I was referred to her by my PCP in Montage (very dissatisfied with her) because my left hand was trembling. I guess I was referred for blood work originally. I didnt realize at the time that she was searching for cancer, based on low white blood count... Had CT scan for midsection organs and found nothing. Had mammogram and found nothing. I guess my hand trembling was never considered as a possible symptom that I HAD A BRAIN TUMOR/CANCER that was never checked out! Wasnt till I had a deblitating seizure couple years later that it was found at SVMH emergency. I still feel wronged by them. 4 years in remission now thanks to UCSF NEURO team.

Bonnie Reid Dr. Ganeles is worth her "wait" in gold. I would wait all day to see this woman because as soon as she closes the door to us, her time is focused on me and my case. She remembers and asks about my personal family troubles, and lets me vent. She refers to me to specialists when I need them, she has me on a good mix of meds to control my hot flashes. Dr. Ganeles is a caring, sympathetic, woman and I love how "pushy" she is. She really does care about my health.

Allison Wills Serrano Dr. Papathomas worked with me throughout my entire pregnancy and delivery of my baby boy this May. I cannot say enough good things about her. She took the time to answer all my questions, and discuss everything with both my husband and I. She is also extremely knowledgeable and a skilled surgeon. I am so happy to have worked with her for my first preganancy as I knew I was in good hands!

heidi kinney Dr. Papathomas is an exceptional, caring doctor who listened to my concerns and met them with a plan. What I love about the plan is that it is a conservative way to address things like lack of sleep and PMS symptoms that range from heart rate variability to night sweats. Since I started Dr. Papathomass plan last Friday, Ive experienced a significant improvement in my sleep quality. Its been a long time since Ive slept this well. Not only that, but my mood has improved, and my night sweats and heart rate variability have significantly reduced. I feel 100% better than before I started the plan. My wife came home and only had good things to say about her experience which was a complete 180 from other doctors in the area. I highly recommend Daphne to anyone looking for a obstetrician or Gynecologist in the area, Especially if you are a new patient whose nervous about going to the doctors for the first time.

Alexis HH Kind of flabbergasted that Dr Papathomas has some good reviews, especially one describing her as validating. Maybe she just treats patients from ER/on medi-cal terribly? Firstly she was incredibly condescending, spoke to and stared at us as if we were remarkably stupid from the moment she walked in. Secondly, she seemed to be deliberately antagonistic and obstructive- at one point saying she had no idea what a routine urine test result (urobilinogen) was? Did she not go to medical school? She was also totally dismissive of the reasons for the visit, even though my usual dr’s office had instructed me to go to the ER based on my symptoms that could be a sign of preeclampsia.. Okay I don’t have it because my blood pressure is great? Wonderful! Why does good news need to be delivered so hostilely? And it wasn’t as if she was trying to ease a pregnant mother’s anxiety by impressing upon me (rudely) that everything was fine, because she hardly explained anything to us, and brought up a second trimester termination as the treatment if I had preeclampsia ‘so early’. Oh, that’s supposed to make me feel better? Also I’m not even sure that’s accurate as I’m 23 weeks & 6 days along (so a day away from viability). To add insult to injury, when my husband and I asked questions or for elaboration, she acted as if we wanted something to be wrong, when of course we just wanted to make sure that nothing WAS wrong (after having several very specific and concerning symptoms). Thankfully the nurse was just the loveliest and so good, and to be fair our one other experience at CHOMP was great too- but I wanted to put our experience today out there in case some other woman, perhaps on Medicare as well, is treated similarly (bullied) by this Dr and discouraged from seeking care when they need it in the future as a result of her misogyny (and classism?). This gave me a clearer understanding of why the maternal survival rate in this country is the worst of the industrialized nations. Like I get that WebMd & the like have probably made many doctors’ lives more frustrating but maybe medical professionals should try to get that attitudes like this are not conducive to trust in them. No one should be shamed/made to feel like a crazy hypochondriac for following their dr’s orders, or even just checking up on symptoms/taking precautions with their unborn child’s health. We are allowed to prioritize our mothers’ and babies’ wellbeing.

Allison Lovelace Dr. Franklin is the best primary care doctor I have ever seen, and this is saying a lot, because our family is active military and Ive moved 9 times across the country. He is thorough in his examinations, including evaluating blood work to look for indicators for underlying conditions. It took me 6 months to get an appointment with him at the time, but it was well worth the wait. Thank you for your SUPERB service to the community Dr. Franklin! Kaisa Young Dr Franklin is through and professional. He listened to my questions and concerns and he had answers for me. I had a terrible experience previously with PA Jennifer, but I wanted to meet Dr. Franklin and re-evaluate this practice by meeting the doctor. I had a very nice visit this time. The staff and Dr. Franklin made me feel comfortable. They were efficient, professional, polite, and knowledgeable.

Megan Marasco Dr. Franklin is the most efficient doctor I have ever been to! He gets results back from your blood work and sits with you to explain every result, what you are doing good on, where you can improve on and how. Not to mention the extremely thorough physical exam he does. He gives you clear instructions on how to improve your health and actually listens to what you have to say as well. I always feel like I am in the best hands with Dr. Franklin and his entire staff. Jen, his PA, is absolutely fabulous! She is so easy to talk to and is just a wonderful PA. Ashley is always quick to get you back to do your vitals and get you into a room. I have never had to wait for an unreasonable amount of time here. Nikki, the receptionist is always so friendly and extremely helpful.

He is thorough and provides sound recommendations and referrals to ensure top notch family care and health!

Vicki Weaver Dr. Franklin is efficient and professional while maintaining a caring and personal rapport with me as a patient. He reviews all testing with me to assure that I understand how this pertains to me as an individual, goes over suggested courses of action, and gets my personal input.
