Darren Goodloe Urgent care I normally use was closed temporarily and my primary care wasn’t available. I was able to quickly and efficiently book an appointment for less than 90 minutes later. The online booking process was fantastic. I was able to select from many different locations as well as see a short bio of the provider before booking. The location was convenient with a decent amount of patient parking. The intake process was also very quick and efficient. Had vitals and medical records verified in short order. Based on my symptoms and a brief discussion, some initial tests were initiated before seeing the provider. The whole process went smoothly and quickly. I met with the provider, Erika, who discussed my situation and gave me a thorough examination. Unfortunately, it seems that whatever condition I had/have is nearing the end and none of the diagnostic tests returned positive results. A couple of treatments were offered to address the symptoms and then I was on my way. Definitely one of the best experiences I’ve had in terms of being able to quickly book an appointment that was both extremely timely and convenient. While I hope I never need to go back to this office for urgent care needs, I feel very fortunate to have been able to be seen at this clinic and I’d recommend to others.

She treated today health issue carefully, finding and telling me what was wrong, and how to resolve it. She made recommendations about consulting an specialist if the issue persists. Id like to keep in touch with Dr. Ha to hear lab results and recovery process.

Banitapplebum 84 I’ve had the most awful experience with sharp since day one! The doctors aren’t good listeners and don’t have the best bedside manner, attitudes are very passive aggressive. I would not recommend sharp or sharp insurance. As a diabetic I’ve gone weeks without medication and lack of prior authorization should never been a factor or lack of proper protocol. I’ve had better care with medi cal doctors and insurance. If I could I’d give this zero stars

monica fernandez Dr. Elsayed has been my fathers PCP for many years I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Elsayed. However, I cannot speak the same about his staff. Especially when it comes to referrals Gladys takes many days, weeks, and calls, to send referrals. My dad has had to go back to the office many times because his referrals where not sent and he has a hard time getting through the phone. Its very hard for an older person who has a hard time with transportation and mobility due to pain not to have his referrals done on time. There have been times that by the time he gets the referral, and the appointment scheduled his issue has already resolved or worsen by the time he is finally seen. Like I said before Dr. Elsayed is an excellent provider he just needs to have his staff be more attentive to patient needs.

Valeria Carrillo The doctor was completely unprofessional. It was my first time seeing her in order to establish care with her as my primary physician. She walked into the room without introducing herself and started to ask if I was taking medication for a condition I had no idea I had. I informed her that I had never been prescribed such medication as I was never informed I had that condition. She then continued to express herself in a condescending manner when I tried to go through some of my medical history with her, again, since this was my very first appointment with her. She did not make me feel like she cared for my health. I felt like I was another patient to check off her list. She was in the room no more than 10 minutes. I will be looking for a different PCP to say the least.

Stephanie Medina Worst experience I’ve ever had with a provider. She did not introduce herself from the start, was really insensitive to my care plan and did not actively hear any of my concerns. She continuously cut me off multiple times while I was expressing my concerns to her. There was no compassion or professionalism. She was just glued to her computer during the visit, offered no real solutions and was uninterested in providing any treatment/care. Provider seemed more annoyed that I was seeking help instead of treating.

N S The Padilla Family for some reason gives my mothers information to my father and allows him to ask for any medication he wants in her name without her consent. My mother has been separated from my father for over 5 years and my mother filed for divorce in 2020. My father has also been an aggressor towards my mother and he does not want her to prosper in life because of money. That’s why we have been in a turmoil for years as a family. My father has been arrested for domestic violence and assault. And not counting all the times he has gotten away with cruelty. Yet, for some reason this place continues to respect him and not my mothers wishes. Even though she’s called them various times and explained her situation to them. I hope their policy changes and they only prescribe or relinquish information when the patient calls or asks, and not when a family member or spouse calls or emails. When they fully know of their personal situation.

I had an appointment scheduled for today for almost three months, left work early, drove thirty miles from work to the office to find it closed for remodeling. I never got an email, text, call, carrier pigeon, nothing. This is not the first time I’ve fallen through the cracks, calling to request a refill and being told I haven’t been to the office in over a year and needed to come in, which was not true as I had been there four months prior. Call the next day and get someone else who easily pulls up my chart and confirms I can get a refill without coming in and I had infact been there when I said I was. If the doctors weren’t so amazing and actually helpful with my issues it would be one star. Do better.

They did lab results thats helping me solve my health issues since my previous doctor at Operation Samahan in National City didnt do nothing to figure out what was mentally and physically wrong with me. I only been with them for a year and the only problem I have is that my contact information was incorrect. Which I didnt get my medication for awhile and I repeatedly told them my phone number and they gave my personal lab results in the mail when it was suppose to be private. I have no complaints about the doctor yet and Im just assuming that the inaccurate information is from my previous clinic or the people in the front desk is messing up. L M No stars.. You will never see a doctor unless you are scheduled for a procedure. At the surgery Center ( ALFA) and even then , the doctor does not even speak with you. The office ( practice ) is being run by medical assistants.. People doing tests, giving you results and sending rx to pharmacies.

guillermo sanchez DO NOT GO SEE THIS DOCTOR! My wife is a high risk pregnancy with twins and he did not take any notes and didn’t take it seriously but when it came down to transferring to another doctor he didn’t give details or information about my wife being pregnant with twins or give any other details at all about the pregnancy. We had to go to the hospital due to a hemorrhage one day and when we tried to give him the paper work and tell him about he dismissed it and glanced at the paper for maybe 5 seconds if that and said “it should be a normal pregnancy now.” Everytime we go in for an appointment it takes well over an hour to be seen and he literally is in the room for less than 2-3 mins max and tells us some bs. While my wife tried to give him information about her family history about high risk pregnancy running in her family he dismissed it and didn’t even mention it while transferring information as well. The last time we went and saw him he was going to schedule an appointment for my wife almost 2 months out! SHE IS HAVING TWINS! all the research and families I’ve spoken with that have twins in their family have ALL said they were seen atleast twice a month due to the type of pregnancy. Due to the time of the appointment I felt like he wanted to get it over with and just go home since it was almost closing time. Me and my wife highly advise not seeing this doctor especially if you’re high risk. He doesn’t listen and also his on call doctors are VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AS WELL. While my wife was bleeding a lot and panicking she contacted the on call number over the weekend and the answering service answered and she gave details (obviously a little scared and panicking) and they responded by TEXTING “do you want the on call doctor to call?” After 45 mins -an hour we are in the emergency room and THEY FINALLY CALL and tell her to get plenty of bed rest and no sex…….. we didn’t give any information about being intimate or her doing any type of physical activity and that’s the response we got. I hope people have a different experience than we did and I hope they atleast correct these issues. That’s just insane highly unprofessional. We definitely didn’t feel like we were in good care.

Carina Sanchez I recently completed my pregnancy journey with Dr. Sefa for my second child and wanted to share my experience. I chose Dr. Sefa because he was the only one accepting new patients through my insurance, and I was eager to ensure consistent care throughout my pregnancy. From my first visit, I was impressed by the kindness and professionalism of the entire staff. They are incredibly friendly and caring, creating a warm and welcoming environment. A special mention goes to Zulema, who consistently went above and beyond to provide excellent care and support. Dr. Sefa himself is a good doctor and genuinely nice. However, his practice has a high volume of patients, particularly those coming from Mexico. This has led to significant over-scheduling of appointments. On multiple occasions, I found myself waiting for 2-3 hours in the office, only to have the doctor see me for 5 minutes or even less. A particularly challenging experience occurred when I went into labor. The nurse called Dr. Sefa to inform him I was at the hospital. At 1 pm, the nurse told me I was fully dilated and that we were only waiting for Dr. Sefa. Unfortunately, due to his over-scheduled appointments, he did not arrive until around 4 pm. Those were the most stressful three hours of my life. While I appreciate the quality of care I received, the long wait times and brief consultations were a source of frustration. I hope that Dr. Sefas practice can address these scheduling issues to provide a more balanced and efficient experience for all patients.

Karen Gonzalez They canceled my appointment they day of, were able to see me the next day, my appointment was at 1215. I got there at 1205. Doctor didnt see me until 1:08. Doctor Didnt seem to have read my chart at all. He Did not recommend anything else for my nausea. I Felt rushed, Unheard and annoyed. Do not recommend. Ladies at the front desk were nice though.

Fernando Vazquez So far, we have had a great experience with Dr. Sefa, he is nice, friendly, and always open to answer your questions, people from Mexico are expecting a Dr’s visit like we are used in Mexico, in the US things are different!! No wait times (for now) Zulema is nice too!! Highly recommend Dr. Sefa!!!

Annie Escobedo He is a great doctor; however I didn’t have a good experience at all. I trust he knew what was best for me, so when he suggested vaginal birth instead of C-section, I trusted him. Worst decision ever! He didn’t do an ultrasound in the last month to see how my baby was before going into labor, so the Dr didn’t realize my baby was to big for a v labor. I ended up with complications while in labor, and my baby was born with complications and ended in the NICU. Only thanks to one of the hospital nurses who realize there was something wrong with my baby, my baby didn’t get worst. I ended up in ER two days after I delivered my baby due to the complications presented on my labor, yet the Dr and the hospital officially reported that “everything went well.” My only reason to choose this dr was a relative saying he was a great doctor but I should have listened when I went to a LB hospital and they said the doctor was not taking a good care of my pregnancy.

Kimberly Brown I went in 4 days ago for outpatient surgery. The staff could not of been better. They were all very attentive, kind, and caring. I was nervous about my procedure and they made me feel at ease, both before and afterwards. The Center was clean and well kept. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about my experience.

Zack Fair Office is very nice, staff was very friendly and informative when I went for a surgery. However, I was prone on my stomach for my surgery, and the operating room table was definitely not built for face-down surgeries. I would suggest to the team there to invest in some sort of face-down table for such surgeries, such as the ones used at chiropractor offices, with armrests and circular cushions for placing a patients face into.

Nancy Bradford I made an appointment to see Dr Michele Lamantia as a new patient a few weeks in advance. I arrived early for my appointment anticipating extra paperwork to fill out, but when I told the desk person who I was there to see she just stated that the doctor was not in. I told her that nobody had called me to cancel the appointment and she just stared with a dull look and asked me if I wanted to see another provider. Why would I want to see another provider if I was a new patient of Dr Lamantia. In addition, the "lobby", for lack of a better word looked like a waiting room youd see in a third world country. What a dump!

AnnaRose Duterte The only reason why my son is going to SYH is because his pediatrician is within his health insurance network. That is the only reason why I continue to take my son to this company. Other than that, I feel administrative staff can do a better job in communicating with patients/ parents of patients when it comes to cancelling appointments and/or not taking insurance. For Example: Today, my son was scheduled an appointment with his Pediatrician (Dr. Bonsu, who we love!) but as soon as we check in, the girl in the front said that they had "called my cell phone (1 time), left a voicemail letting me know that my sons Drs schedule had switched. They said they called on March 6th, 2023." I showed the girl my phone, no voicemails from that day, since I never delete my voicemails. I did receive the appointment confirmation though! & It was only 1 time they called. I work in healthcare myself and personally, my clinic does the 3 calls/voicemails then sends a letter if we are unable to be in contact with the patient. My son could have been rescheduled to another appropriate day with his Dr and I wouldnt have to have waisted PTO hours. This isnt the first time its happened and its just frustrating when staff isnt helpful, as coz I would never be so rude to a patient who is clearly upset and asking appropriate questions. Another example: In January, I was scheduled for my womans exam. I showed up and they told me right then and there that they dont "take my insurance." I had made this appointment a month before too!!! I called my primary care to resend another referral to a different facility that took my insurance. It was just such a big inconvenience. I didnt understand why they didnt tell me that when I made the appointment in the first place!!! Again, had to use PTO hours for nothing. Like I mentioned before, my son is in network with his Pediatrician and that is the ONLY reason we would be going to SYH. Luckily my son has been rescheduled to the following week but I wish there was better communication from the staff in regards to these important matters. As a single mother, I would appreciate that type of empathy and attentiveness. That is all, thank you.

Harry If I could give negative stars I would. You get better service at the VA. My Dr. was Dr. Cevallos. This place would never renew my diabetic medication. I called and requested a check up...Dr. called and after 1 ring hung up twice. The place has crabby receptionists it is impossible to get ahold of anybody ...the friendliest person there is the security guard. Do not go to this place if you want good health!

Hector Aguilar I am stuck in a room waiting for Dr. for over an hour, I have PTSD a head injury, reconstructed spine, blind one eye. And I had an appointment following an ER visit. Is my first time here and I am having a panic attack inside

Sandra Jeans Dr. Shachar is the epitome of care, compassion and superb medical intelligence. I have been her patient for many years, and I can truthfully state that she always goes above and beyond. She takes the time to genuinely listen, read all lab results, etc.... so she can assure the best possible solution for the short and long term. When I needed physical therapy or a prescription refilled her staff is right on it. I seriously have never seen such high regard in even the small stuff that truly does make a huge difference in the entire experience. When I was concerned about a lab result, she returned my message that day putting me at great peace. (I mean how many doctors respond that quickly knowing that youre in distress) She takes the time to answer questions. Her passion and concern is evident. I feel blessed to have such an outstanding and amazing doctor.

Debbie Kinney Dr. Shachar has been an awesome doctor for both me and my husband. She is always so attentive, supportive, listens well to your needs and always follows through when you need her the most! She has been our doctor for 16+ years! She has been through so much regarding my health and I always knew I could depend on her to be there for me through my toughest health issues. Dr. Shachar is an exceptional doctor.

Melissa Rautenberg Nice, caring, open, and to the point. I love Dr. Shachar. Ive been going to Dr. Shachar for a couple of years now and I just love her. Shes compassionate but to straight to the point. She doesnt insight fear. She works with you and provides options when needed. Highly recommend her if this sounds like the doctor for you.

CM Scott Made an appointment to interview the doctor as a new patient. Office staff told me "the doctor doesnt do interviews; shes too busy." I dont know why this wasnt told to me on the phone when I made the appointment specifically to interview her. If you dont do new patient interviews, youre not accepting new patients. Dont tell insurance companies you are. You dont get to become someones doctor just because you have an MD after your name - they need to figure out if youre a good fit for them. She clearly doesnt want informed patients. That doesnt bode well for being able to make informed healthcare decisions with her.

Allison Davidson Dr. Shachar is an excellent physician. She takes the time to listen to you and to ask clarifying questions. She explains her thinking based on your symptoms and/or lab results and then discusses treatment options. She allows you to be an active participant in your care by asking what treatments you are comfortable with and she is willing to discuss alternatives with you. She is practical in her approach and has a calming presence. I highly recommend Dr. Shachar.
