Wut Wrong I am writing this anonymously to share my familys story. My father had stomach cancer and had surgery to remove part of his stomach. At first, he seemed hopeful, but then the cut kept leaking, which worried us. The doctors at Washington Hospital tried to help, but he didn’t get better, so they sent him to UCSF. Sadly, a month later, he passed away due to an infection. While at Washington Hospital, he also got a bad respiratory virus. I wish things had ended differently, and I hope sharing this helps others understand what happened to us.

james ward I was operated on 6/6/16 for colorectal cancer by Dr Achanta and unfortunately I had another bout and surgery on 11/17/22 but not the same location. Once again Dr. Achanta literally saved my life. 2 Major Surgeries and Im here to talk about it. My blood work has returned better than it has in years and my strength has returned. He is not only a great surgeon but an incredible person. He treats you like family and is very caring and extremely concise with instructions his former PA Nina and his present PA Emily are also wonderful assets. Ashley Betchart Vanessa Wilson herself is a sub par doctor who you could only describe as “old school”. When I had gained weight she said it wasn’t bad but it wouldn’t hurt to “shed a few pounds” (keep in mind by BMI was completely normal and my new physician said I had nothing to worry about) and then went on to speak about herself and her dancing for the rest of the appointment. Nevertheless she is not terrible but her office staff is incompetent, rude, and point blank useless when it comes to getting anything done. Unless you have time to constantly hound them to do their job I suggest you find another doctor as Vanessa is nothing profound herself.

Shachi Chandra Dr. Curran and his team are caring and friendly. Dr. Curran has been my primary care physician from last 4 years. He is very kind, compassionate & caring doctor with excellent bedside manners. He takes necessary time with his patients & reviews every small detail during every visit. Its not easy to get an appointment in the same week but they have an awesome system where you can send a message to your doctor and get a reply on the same day.

Frank Fletcher Dr. Curran is great. He is very straightforward and professional but also keeps a warm and friendly attitude towards his patients. He really makes himself easy to talk with about what most people consider "sensitive" matters. Being able to talk frankly with a medical professional goes a long way towards their being able to diagnose and take care of your problems.

Omema Qureshi - Yaqub I absolutely love Dr. Bala! She’s been my primary doctor for a few years now, and I couldn’t be happier with the care she provides. She’s always thorough with her exams and never rushes through appointments. Even though I’ve had a fatty liver for a while, she never pushed medication on me. Instead, she encouraged me to focus on diet and lifestyle changes, only considering medicine as a last resort. She also asks a lot of questions, really listens to my concerns, and values my input when it comes to my health. On top of that, she’s super organized—I’ve never had to call her office to remind her about referrals or prescriptions. She just stays on top of everything. I highly recommend Dr. Bala. Wailing Apple Core I had high hopes for this office based off of reviews but honestly it’s a waste of time going here. My first appointment, I had arrived early as requested but wasn’t seen until almost an hour after my appointment time with no explanation. Upon entering the office, there were no workers behind the counter. When one finally did show up I kept trying to get her attention so I could check in for my appointment but she kept her back to me and told me to sit down. No explanation as a first time patient. Apparently at the counter they have a sign in paper- no one told me that. Inside is outdated. I’ve seen a mother desperately try to get help from the ladies at the counter for her sick child by scheduling a doctors appointment but they were very dismissive and basically ignored her too. Trying to schedule an appointment is a joke. They either never answer or there voicemail box is full so you can’t even leave a message. The times I was able to leave a message, I never got a call back. They also send out appointment text reminders that end with “if you have any questions or would like to reschedule, respond to this message” but they never respond to your messages if you have questions. I tried getting treatment for my depression, anxiety, and very painful periods. With the depression and anxiety- my doctor just kept upping the dose even though the medication was not working and I told him that. He said he’d put in a referral with their psychiatrist who would call me..never got the call. When I saw the OBGYN for my painful periods, she dismissed it by saying “Everyone has painful periods, have a baby and it will get better”. Such great medical advice, was she gonna help support the baby though? I never got my results from the OBGYN visit either. Today was the final straw…I had a telehealth appointment scheduled and never received a call from my doctor. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME ON A CLINIC THAT DOES NOT ACTUALLY CARE.

The service from the nurses and from the doctor is beyond reproach. The care, professionalism, customer service, knowledge, and comforting Services received here is definitely 10 Stars. Prior to her becoming my primary care physician, I hadn’t gone to the doctor in like 10 years (just didn’t like going to the doctor in general and am generally healthy). I figured it was time to get to a primary care physician and she has been wonderful! She’s patient, warm, takes time to explain things. Great bedside manner. She and her team are super responsive with prescription refills, blood work results, etc. Great experience overall!

Karman Wong I recently visited Dr. Yamini Madhavan, MD for my physical annual check-up, as my regular doctor was unavailable until March. The appointment was relatively straightforward, but it was a bit different from what I have experienced in the past with other doctors at PAMF. Dr. Madhavan greeted me and conducted a quick breast exam, which included a reminder to schedule a mammogram. She also asked if I was okay with ordering two basic blood tests, which I agreed to. However, I felt that my experience lacked a bit of the comprehensive approach I’m used to in an annual check-up. In my previous visits, my doctors have always checked various areas like eyes, ears, nose, throat, and abdomen, asked about my lifestyle habits (such as exercise), and discussed any concerns I might have had. They also took the time to review my medical history before ordering tests, ensuring that the tests were appropriate. With Dr. Madhavan, I didnt feel like there was much of a discussion about my overall health, lifestyle, or any potential concerns I may have had. While I appreciate her efficiency and the care she provided, I felt that the appointment could have been a bit more thorough, especially in terms of reviewing my health history and engaging in more dialogue about my wellness. That said, Dr. Madhavan did answer my question, and I do believe she is competent in her role. I just think there’s room for improvement in how the check-up process is handled.

I have been a patient of Dr. Katta for the past year and find he is not only knowledgeable but listens to my concerns and takes a no nonsense treatment approach which has proven effective, dropping my A1C below 6%. He refers to objective trends, showing patterns over time from glucose monitors and/or CGM, clearly showing times in the day or more specifically meals that correlate to hyperglycemia. Diet for my father continues to be the root of the problem in addition to my father’s stubbornness. Dr. Katta has gone above and beyond to listen to my frustrations as a caregiver, but also celebrate to small wins. He’s referred my father to all the appropriate specialists that my father has needed more as he aged. To state that I am truly grateful to Dr. Katta for continuing to work w/my father over decades is an understatement! Dr. Katta has shown extreme patience as my father has been a barrier to his own well-being as he tries to maintain his independence. With Dr. Katta’s help, my father has improved his health perspective and invested in working toward better chronic disease management. Shonta I had a total knee replacement back in March with Dr. Sah. I used to work for Dr. Dearborn and Dr. Sah for years as their surgical coordinator, and with the staff here. There is no better place for joint replacement. You have a large bright private room with a large bathroom with shower. You have a staff who works only with joint replacement patients. You are in a separate building from the hospital so you are with healthy people. Its like a spa in here! And did I say the staff are the kindest most caring people?? People travel from all over the nation for a reason. I loved working with them and now really appreciate the highest level of care they provide for each patient.

Ramona Lione Dr. Sah is an incredibly skilled surgeon with a great "bedside manner". He and the staff at the Center for Joint Replacement have a protocol that helps patients through the whole process. I cant recommend them highly enough. Dr. Sah is simply the best there is.

Scott Pactor Ive now helped a relative through two hip replacements here, first in 2019, second in 2022. Its a very popular, high volume practice. Im a lawyer and I spend most of my day in Court, and to me hospitals have a similar vibe: people arent usually stoked to be there, the stakes are high and the staff are doing their best to make everyone happy under difficult circumstances. So Ive spent about 40/50 hours here all told, Ive never seen anything untoward and all my interactions with staff were professional. They treated my relative well even though she can be a difficult patient. I would recommend this place for someone getting a hip or knee replacement.

The doctor who performed my mammogram was incredibly kind, welcoming, and reassuring. She made me feel completely comfortable during my visit. Dr Kediyal is up to date on my charts, labs and follow ups before the visit, she is organized and prompt, she is clear on the expected follow up from me. Mighty Jon Behemoth For years I was in so much pain. My primary physician suggested Dr Goldin since he could no longer effectively treat me. I had a consultation with Dr Goldin he mentioned the nerve ablation procedure. The procedure was scheduled after monitoring and screening. The Staff is great they are helpful and cordial making it a pleasant experience. Dr. Goldin performed the procedure and I have been pain free ever since. Great physician. Also he plays an awesome Playlist during the procedure providing a great peaceful environment. I recomend Dr Goldin without any reservations.

Nick Schultz Dr Goldin is the best doctor I have ever had. I was in severe pain after falling in the snow and had problems with my l4,l5. I did the injection with him in my back and followed what he told me to do to manage things after the procedure. It will be 3 years in June that I feel normal and pain free. If you’re looking for an expert, who is thorough and incredibly skilled, I highly recommend you make an appointment with him for consult. The office staff were awesome too !

Vic Dembowski This Dr gave me no pre-op and on the day of the surgery, while hiding behind his mask, started yelling at me if I didnt follow his instructions after surgery he would call this that morning. I was shocked by his behavior. If you get shots in the back of your neck, he will shave your hair off without a prewarning you. I do not recamend this Dr. for complicated neck problems. This Dr. will come off nice in the beginning, but is very insecure and could not help me at all. Terrible experience I have had with any with any pain specialist. I meant to say he was the worst pain specialist I ever had.

クリスティーナ Update for 11/7/17. Thank you so much Michael Goldin! He said he was sorry for what happened from that incident on October 23, 2017. Doctor Goldin was very patient and calm with me. He did not smart mouth, intimidate, rush, or make me feel bad like the other useless doctors in US HealthWorks did. He did a pain exam which is what I wanted so he knows where the pain is. He was very knowledgeable about the back, lower back, and left bottom. See this doctor if youre having problems with your back! What I liked the most was, he was actually LISTENING to me instead of jumping into conclusions like the other doctors did! And they wonder why I chose this doctor! Its not easy finding a doctor you can trust!

Andrew Riley I went to Dr. Goldin for a should injury and he provided me with excellent PT and stretching routines that helped strengthen my shoulder up. I havent had any issues after putting in some time doing my exercises.

Debbie Shears Hi my husband had surgery at your center on Tuesday. My husband and I are both retired registered nurses and were very impressed with the treatment I received. From the first contact with Paul the pre op coordinator, to the front desk receptionist and all the way through to the discharge nurse we give you a 5 star review. My husband felt very comfortable with the anesthesiologist even though he looked to be about 20 years old or is it us just getting older LOL. Of course a 5 star for dr Saleh as usual. Ra S AVOID this place if you can. My doctor was really good and did his part well. However this centers service is poor. First, they got my phone number and my emergency contacts phone number mixed up. So they were leaving voicemails asking my husband to come pick me up, on my own phone wich was in a locker in this hospital. Didnt even apoligize for the mix-up. then, the anasthesiologist was horrible. I had swollen lips, throat injury and was caughing up blood for up to a week while my actual procedure was not that bad. Then the next problem came in the form of negligence in their billing department. They kept sending me one bill with links and QR codes to pay at the Washington Hospital instead of their Outpatient Surgery. Also, the billing person Lupe H is so hard to get a hold of. She works only 3 days per weeks and does not respond to voicemails. They then send a letter saying they are transferring my account to collections. I had to write to two different departments and leave multiple emails and voicemails to finally get in touch with Lupe and to pay my own bill. So please avoid this place if you want a better service!

C W My partner had surgery on his hand here after a complex break. I left briefly to go grab food & when I returned, there was nobody around to let me back in. After about 20 min of ringing doorbells & knocking on windows, I finally got somebodys attention. I came in & sat down to wait, & after about 5-10 min I heard my partner screaming so I went to look for him. A nurse saw me & brought me back. He was having a hard time coming out of the anesthesia & the staff were kinda rough & demanding with him when he couldnt even talk & was just crying. I asked them if this was normal & they said no & I could keep giving him oxygen, which I did, & it seemed to help but then hed go back to crying & saying stuff that nobody could understand. The staff left me alone with him & I kept giving him oxygen & he started making more sense & calmed down, but was in agonizing pain. They gave him IV painkillers & an oxycodone & he went back to sleep. After 10 min, the nurses came in & said we had to leave, but he was still unconscious. They woke him up & he couldnt stand so they put him in a wheelchair & said he could recover more in the other room. When we got there they literally told me to call an Uber b/c they were off work & staying after their shift. I felt like it was very unprofessional, like hes having a reaction to the anesthesia & they just wanted to shove him in an Uber so they could go home. Also I dont know why I was the person administering oxygen during this ordeal, I have no medical training. I was in there kind of laying on top of him so he couldnt hurt himself & giving him oxygen & they left us there then kicked us out.

Hoang Nguyen My son had surgery. The care from all the doctors, nurses and staff was amazing. We were in and out. Follow up was great as well. Next day our nurse, doctor and anesthesiologist called to make sure my son and family were all doing good. Fabulous first time experience.

Lily Phan Dr. Agarwal is my moms doctor. He is very caring, accessible, and competent. My mom had undiagnosed sleep apnea with COPD for years. Dr. Agarwal diagnosed her with sleep apnea, and she has significant improved on the CPAP therapy. Her chronic headache, fatigue, and anxiety has lessen. She has more energy, better mood, and better sleeps in years. The doctor is also very accessible.We are able to call in when she has coughing problems and able to see the doctor the same day on multiple occasions. Dr. Agarwal took careful history notes of my moms conditions and progress so and follow up thoroughly. We completely trust his expertise. Highly recommend his care for your family.

Robert Sarkes Dr. Sanjay Agarwal is an amazing doctor. He is my favorite doctor. Why? Because he is truly a warm, friendly, and caring person. Always goes above and beyond to help his patients. I came to Dr. Agarwal suffering from a persistent dry cough. He immediately diagnosed me as having chronic Sleep Apnea. I was skeptical that my dry cough would be related to Sleep Apnea but to my surprise my cough and other minor symptoms related to having chronic Sleep Apnea all virtually disappeared after I started using my prescribed CPAP machine. My whole life and health has dramatically improved ever since and I have Dr. Agarwal to thank for it all.
