Harold Stewart My mom was quadriplegic 81 years old with terminal cancer. Dr. Navazo was my mom‘s personal care physician for over two years. Dr. Navazo and his assistants would come visit my mom on a regular basis. Dr. Navazo was the most caring understanding physician my mom ever had. Anytime any of us had questions in regards to my mom’s care or my mom herself would call his office someone would always answer. Dr Navazo and his entire staff was very courteous, prompt professional. I can’t say enough about Dr. Navazo and his staff. We thank him for being there with my moms journey in her life.

Sally Weimer Dr. Anhthu Tran is by far the best doctor I have ever had! Im 61 years old and have had many doctors over the years. Dr. Tran is the sweetest, kindest, most compassionate doctor I have ever experienced! She is also extremely knowledgeable and thorough. She responds quickly to messages and is readily available for both in-person and video visits. She even sent me a Happy Birthday message! I feel like she really cares about me as a person, not just a patient. I give her my highest recommendations!

Dr. Tran is an extremely caring and knowledgeable doctor and I feel so comfortable with her during any type of visit. Based on past experiences, I truly never thought I would be able to discuss anything and everything with my doctor but Dr. Tran has changed that. She makes me feel so safe in a place of vulnerableness and I couldn’t feel more grateful and blessed to have such a doctor. brandy robertson Dr Carrio is the only doctor who I felt totally comfortable with from the very first appointment. She puts me at ease, answers any questions or concerns and gives me her undivided attention when I am there. The staff is very friendly and professional as well.

April Dahn I originally found Dr. Wilkey for my son thinking I was going out of country. When my plans changed I switched immediately based on my son’s recommendation. He is the best doctor we have ever had. He provides the highest quality medicine, listens, and truly cares. Staff obstructs rest area (common ground) via loud verbal conversation throughout all hours, as well as mismanages rest area lighting (both of which patients openly object to & are routinely ignored or denied). Oppressively bias medical directors. Rooms are absolutely infested with mosquitoes, of which linger along the plants & patient area both of which are away from the staff operations desk. Nice place/building. Additionally: most Google reviews of this business (mostly negative, 2/5 stars) appear to be listed within "Exodus" & "Exodus Recovery" business pages. Those reviews reflect this business.

Paula McQuaid I want to say thank you to Dr Lawson, Eileen and the whole staff for always being so caring and concerned about me. I have been seeing them for several years now. I cant say enough great things about them. I would give Dr Lawson and the staff a 10 if it went that high. They listen to every concern I may have. And if it wasnt for Dr Lawson I would not be here. I was having heart problems and she sent me to the best cardiologist. But a huge problem she found was I had a fully clogged arterie.. if she hadnt found it I would be gone. She made sure I went home and didnt do anything until I saw the surgeon. Which with her and the staffs help was in a day and the surgery was done within the week. So I thank her for that and everything else she has done for me. I have one thing to say to Keith Keller whoever you are you must have seen someone else!!! So if your considering Dr Lawson and her fabulous staff dont let his review scare you off. Thank you for my life. I love you all.

Dave Kinney Dr. Lawson saved my life in 2012 I believe because she took the time and cared enough to set everything up for me to get the weight loss surgery I needed. If not I was probably a few months away from a coronary. That’s how I feel. She has been kind to me over the years and stern when I failed to follow certain recommendations but all in all she is a great doctor and I’m blessed to call her my doctor.

Travis H. Really popular doctor. Apparently so popular that he was too busy to refill my wife’s asthma inhaler that we’ve been calling his office multiple times to request. Well today was her last day of her inhaler (as his office was informed multiple times). Not sure what tomorrow will look like. If you have a lifesaving medicine that needs to be refilled, and are okay with one refill at a time, or even no refills and no communication, feel free to add him as your doctor. Waiting months to see him will make it all the more special if you actually get to meet him.

Scott G Dr. Huizar is an absolute gem. He was my primary care physician for eight years. Always kind, always patient, terrific support staff. I never had to wait long in the waiting room, and if it was even five minutes he would be apologetic. In 2017 a wildfire briefly forced the closure of the Coastal Center; he and his staff relocated to a nearby office and kept our appointment. That is caring! Im no longer in Southern California, but if I ever move back Id return to his practice in heartbeat.

Jim Johnson Dr. Huizar is one of the rare ones, he actually listened and cares. In addition is personable. He believes his patients know more about how they feel than anyone else, something many Doctors fail to understand.

Howard Rosenberg My wife and I have both been seeing Dr Huizar for the past 8 years. More Dr’s should take a lesson from Dr Huizar. He enters the office and listens to you, eye to eye. Not having his head in some book or Computer. Dr Huizar is a very compassionate individual. Dr Huizar in my opinion has saved the lives of both myself and my wife. Dr Huizar has ordered blood work on my wife, and he saw something wasn’t quite right. Dr Huizar referred us to an Oncologist and determined my wife has Multiple Myeloma. For me, the same. Blood test, which he continues to order, showed something wasn’t correct. Dr Huizar referred me to an Oncologist, and I was told, I had early stages of Prostate Cancer. If these tests were not ordered by Dr Huizar and he followed up, I wouldn’t be here today writing this. As far as I’m concerned, Dr Huizar may not be GOD, but he’s GOD’s right hand man. I’m in my 60’s, and never have had a Doctor like Dr Huizar.

Bonnie Watkins Doctor Jamshidi removed my Gallbladder in mid-January 2023. Following the surgery, my recovery seemed to be going well. Then, I started to feel unwell and had nausea and pain, so I made an appointment to follow up with Jamshidi. During this appointment, Jamshidi’s thoughts were that I may have slight Pancreatitis, and he did not feel that my symptoms had anything to do with issues arising from the Gallbladder surgery. I’d like to add that I found the language that Jamshidi used during our conversation crude and vulgar. (Using words like “fart”, instead of gas.) When I ask what I should do if I became worse, he said I should go to the Emergency Room for help. As it turned out, I was admitted to emergency and it was discovered that I had a gallbladder stone in my bile duct as well as a pouch of liquid that had accumulated in the Gallbladder cavity. I spent a week in the hospital and was treated for both these issues. Additionally, I had to have a drain in for two weeks after the procedure for the liquid accumulation. While the Coastal Surgeon Staff were helpful and professional, the same cannot be said of Doctor Jamshidi. My care was dismissive and disrespectful, and I felt it was necessary to leave this negative review.

Magda Mendoza My best friend had an AV graft put in, for dialysis. I got to meet Dr. Jamshidi-Nezhad and his current medical student. He was very gracious and set all our minds at ease. My friend has had over 31 IRs for clotting in his grafts. This is one of the last option for a good, working access for dialysis. I am glad I was able to meet the doctor who has performed so many of my friends surgeries. He is a map of scars demonstrating Dr. Jashidis work. Dr. J has never given up on him.

maria lynch I used to see Dr Safi years ago and used to be very happy with her. That’s when they were North County something or another. I changed insurance that she didn’t take so I went back to another private female dr. After this dr retired, I really wanted to find dr Safi again since she used to be so nice and pleasant . I did and was thrilled to have her again until I went to see her with my adult daughafter I spent 4 days in the hospital. She was not even aware I had been in the hospital. There were a lot of things I needed to discuss with her about my health; diabetes, high blood pressure etc. she rushed coming in and going out. She was leaving the room and didn’t even told me she was done with me. I was trying to tell her what I needed and she just said to make an appointment. I said but I’m here can u talk to me about everything it’s going on with me ? And she said she only had 20 MINUTES. Can u believe that ? 20 minutes with a primary dr after spending 4 days in the hospital. I’m 63 yrs old female. This happened one more time and yet another time with another dr in the crouch office . This is TrueCare. They are all terrible. They will not give u enough time for you to explain what’s going on , I mean it’s just terrible. I wasn’t going to buy a pair of shoes I NEEDED to speak to my “Dr” about my health which has been really bad. I have left this clinic and their doctors. TERRIBLE .

maggie lobue Dr Phillips is a smart, kind, innovative and down to earth physician. He has been my physician for 6 plus years! Meagan Rose This doctor is directly responsible for the downfall of my mental and physical health. He gaslit me into thinking one of my medications was harming my heart and was pushing adderall on me like crazy. Truly, way too enthusiastic about it. Two months after he took me off my medication, I tried to kill myself, likely because he stopped it cold turkey after four years of being treated successfully and safely. He is extremely uneducated and should not be treating complex patients.

Shukria Homman As a new patient, I tried for 3 weeks to get a call back for an appointment. I am a chronic patient who needs meds, but no calls. I finally called the front desk and still got the answering machine. Finally after 3 weeks I got a call and gave me an appointment in the next 2 weeks. My former pain doctor faxed them all my records but no mercy. I am running out of my meds which my primary doctor cant authorize. I have Complex Regional Pain Syndrome and cannot live without pain meds and I am running out since I have already reduced the recommended dosage and I am on the verge of going to the ER due to severe pain. I have not seen their doctors to make any comments but, from the call experience, I am not sure what to expect. Once I get another call to see the doctor soon, I will revise my comments.

C H Went in for urgent care, the nice worker asked me of my symptoms and told me i should sign into Health Express because they would be able to see me faster as Urgent care wait was almost 3 hours at the time. I waited less than an hour. I was taken care of very well on that side. I liked the nurse, and Physician Assistant that took care of me way better than the Doctor that I had seen on Urgent care side a year ago. Nurse Practitioner Sophia was very caring and thorough. She even gave me a warm blanket to comfort me as lab results took about 15 minutes. I can’t remember the name of the nurse that took my vitals and my tests, but she was kind and caring as well. Thank you Scripps Health Express and staff!! I appreciate you!!!!

Taufiq Habib This is my second visit here. It’s a fairly large facility. It seems to be professionally run. It’s a dash to the larger hospital. The staff is really good and getting it set up and then you obviously have to wait depending on the number of people ahead of you. A Visit could typically last several hours. They have vending machines .

The Waltons I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Scripps Health Express. As a regular patient, I expected better care, but what I received was the complete opposite. I arrived at 7:25 PM—35 minutes before closing—seeking medical attention, only to be told that because they were closing soon, I would have to come back the next day. They didn’t offer any alternatives, didn’t attempt to help, and simply turned me away while I was in pain. Frustrated, I left and called 8-2-8 Urgent Care at 7:50 PM—just 10 minutes before they closed. Unlike Scripps, they didn’t make excuses or prioritize the clock over patient care. Instead, they took my information, explained my insurance options honestly, and welcomed me in. I arrived at 7:50 PM and was walking out with a prescription for antibiotics by 8:20 PM, all because they cared enough to do what Scripps refused to do. Shame on the staff at Scripps who could have done the same thing but chose to do nothing instead. It’s unacceptable for a healthcare facility to dismiss a patient simply because they don’t want to extend a little effort at the end of their shift. If 8-2-8 Urgent Care can provide excellent care right before closing, why can’t Scripps? This experience has made me rethink my trust in Scripps Health Express. If you need urgent care, I strongly recommend skipping Scripps and going straight to 8-2-8 Urgent Care, where they actually put patients first.
