Hugh Walsh I JUST RETURNED FROM SOUTH LAKE TAHOE HEALTH CENTER WHERE I RECEIVED MY FIRST SHOT OF COVID 19 VACINE. MY GOING TO THIS LOCATION WAS IN ERROR. WHEN MAKING THE APPOINTMENT, I SELECTED THE WRONG LOCATION. MY WIFE AND I MADE THE RUN UP FROM PLACERVILLE WHERE I LIVE AND WAS VERY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED AS TO HOW WELL ORGANIZED AND PROFESSIONAL THE STAFF CARRIED OUT THEIR FUNCTIONS. MY APPOINTMENT WAS FOR 9:30AM AND MY WIFES APPOINTMENT FOR 10:05AM. NO DELAYS IN TIME CALLED FOR THE SHOT; IN FACT MY WIFE WAS CALLED IMMEDIATELY AFTE ME AND WAS IN AND OUT BEFORE ME. WE ARRIVE AT THE CENTER AROUND 9:20AM AND WERE OUT BEFORE 10:00AM.I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE SERVICE AND LOCATION. NO LINES AND AT MOST ABOUT 12 PEOPLE AT A TIME WAITING THEIR CALL.

Dr. Makris, the ER, ICU and MedSurg nurses at Barton Memorial Hospital not only pulled her through, but provided priceless insight on her treatment and care, past and future. I’m taking Mom home tomorrow. Without Dr. Makris and her team, I’d be planning a funeral tonight.

Jo Ann First time being seen/treated at Advanced Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery. I developed milia on my face that would not go away after a year of trying many at home exfoliating products. I did not see a DR but a NP who performed extractions. Retin A was recommended for treatment of exfoliation. It has been over 3 weeks since my appointment and my prescription has yet to be called in to my pharmacy, even though I have called every week to follow up and request that it be done. The admitting process was fairly quick, after I filled out several paperwork/questionnaires that seemed excessive and unnecessary for treatment. Overall, I would not recommend seeking treatment if you’re wanting to establish a long term patient/DR relationship for future care; with the exception of the bubbly young woman that admitted me to the exam room, I left there feeling like the NP and front staff had a tense/unhappy/annoyed attitude and the follow through has not been good in my case. I gave them three stars, because I was seen fairly quickly and the initial problem was treated. Establishing a comfortable relationship with a healthcare provider is important for ongoing care and for me Advanced Dermatology & Cosmetic Surgery lacks the qualities of basic well-rounded professionalism.

Mary Cox To sum this establishment up in a nut shell. The sanitation practices and the quality of care in this establishment is below average and is unsatisfactory. Ill never go back to this office nor will I see this NP or DR again. You wont ever see the actual Doctor unless youve been diagnosed with skin cancer, but youll be charged the same price to see a nurse practitioner as you would to see a specialist. Ive been to this office a few times in 10 years, my most recent was a horrible experience in more than one way. However I can say the office staff was very polite and personable. I had the worst experience, once I went to the examination room. The exam table looked dirty so I wiped the part that would be exposed to my skin, with a tissue. The exam table was filthy! When I wiped the exam table with a tissue, black and dark grey dirt came off onto the tissue. It was really nasty! I thought, maybe it was just one spot, so I wiped another area of the exam table, with another tissue. Nope, the entire top portion of the exam table was dirty and the other sides of the table looked old and dingy. It was right after covid, so I had some rubbing alcohol in my purse. I sprayed the dirty table with the rubbing alcohol and black gooey stuff came off onto the white tissue. The room looked old and dingy. I left the dirty tissue on the exam table so the nurse could see. She asked whats this. I told her it was from wiping her exam table with tissue. She didnt apologize, nor did she clean the table. They need new furniture and fixtures, and someone to scrub the caked-on yuck from the exam tables and floors. The worst part was my experience with the nurse practitioner. She said shes been there for 10 years. She was extremely rude, condescending and appears to be burned out and very callus. She did not allow for any collaboration on my part. When I tried to explain my situation she cut me off, raised her voice and angrily said "DONT YOU INTERRUPT ME!" it was one of the strangest experiences Ive had at any Doctors office. Im at least 20 years older than this nurse, yet she talked to me like I was her child or employee and in a very abusive manner. I have a new dermatologist now and Im very happy with them. Feel free to look up my other Google reviews. I went to another dermatologist two months later to address concerns and was diagnosed with early stage Melanoma. Thank God I went to another Dr. because my condition went completely undetected at Advanced Dermatology. Since Im a red head and at a higher risk for skin cancer, I would have thought the Nurse Practitioner would have suggested looking at all of my skin. Especially since she removed a suspicious mole that day. I dont believe I received adequate care.

Dave Soldavini I had two very different experiences here. First off, the staff was excellent when i showed up for my appointment. They were all very efficient and professional. Dr. McCrory (SP?) and Georgia took pains to full explain my situation and the spectrum of treatments to deal with it. I will be going back to see them regularly. Secondly, the bad, I made my initial appointment at the Kingsbury office, they even went to great lengths to describe where they were located because the snow makes it difficult to locate. Then I was called back 40 minutes later to confirm my appointment in Minden! Obviously a mistake had been made, no big deal, it happens. However, they wouldnt accept any responsibility for the mistake. That still bugs me,

Mackenzie Martin I couldnt have been luckier to have Dr Shepard as the surgeon in the ER the day I went in for abdominal pain. Turned out I needed an appendectomy. This appendectomy quite possibly saved my life. When Dr. Shepherd did the operation, he went in to remove the appendix and discovered that I had a very rare tumor. He quickly provided me with follow up care - the surgeons who did my follow up surgeries said they were very impressed by Shepards work. He and his staff are comforting, honest and patient. In what was the scariest moment of my life, I was confident that with Dr Shepards guidance and expertise, he was going to get me the best treatment for my rare condition. He is an exceptional listener, and you can tell that he has a true love for helping people. Hes everything you could hope for in a doctor. Hes a hero in my heart.

Joann Maliska I met with Dr. Shepard for a preventative screening and procedure and he was very patient and thorough. He met with me prior to the procedure to explain everything and what I should expect; I appreciated his kindness and patience and felt very comfortable with him as my doctor, not to mention his stellar team of nurses! Thank you all for helping me get the care I needed in a friendly and safe environment. Dr. Shepard also saw me after the procedure to explain what he did and saw, then followed up a few days later to check on me.

Eric Della Giustina This man has a problem with being honest. Found out later from a different doctor that he made major mistakes in my surgery not once but twice. Had two surgeries and ended up in worse shape than I was before I saw this doctor. Please do research before you see someone. It is a shame when you go see a doctor and they cant be man enough to admit they made a mistake.

Jason Turkot Dr. Zach Childs is an absolute clown made me promises about fixing my neck told me I had a failed fusion and that my pain wouldn’t be any worse than what it currently was after his procedure well that was a lie it’s exponentially worse it’s causing nerve issues and pinching down my arms he takes zero responsibility for it and he also screwed up other peoples neck surgeries around town he has no plays practicing medicine do not let Dr. Childs operate on you. Let me reiterate do not let Dr. Zachary Childs perform any operations on you he will f you for life and not give a F. Otherwise the staff was pretty good bit he flat out sucks and doesnt hwve the balls to take responsibility for his shortcommings nor can be bothered in the middles of the night when his 1 week post op patient has to getvtaken via ambulance to the er for shottint burning nerve pain caused by his surgery. DO NOT LET CHILD’s OPERATE on you period !!!!!

Jason Turkot Don’t even consider letting this guy operate on you. He did a posterior fusion and literally placed screws on my c7 nerve root and was in denial and combative when confronted he dropped me as a patient . I now suffer from nerve damage do to his surgery and know others that have had failed surgery and treated the same way by him. DO NOT even consider surgery with him you’re just asking for issues

Susan M. I had two surgeries from Dr Child. Surgeries went well, however taking a lot longer recovery time but that might be because I was in my mid 60s. I found him knowledgeable and very compassionate. Especially when it came to my aftercare with pain management. He wasnt "judgemental"! Again, he and his PA Dana Randall were both very compassionate! I highly recommend him as a surgeon.

Michelle Maattala Both Dr.Childs and his PA, found the cyst in my spine. With one mri, I was suffering with pain for almost 4 years other places just did injections, pushed meds. They were a blessing to my family and I.

Kathi Dobrow Ive been seeing Dr. Krull since 2019. She has provided the necessary treatment for my psoriatic arthritis; however, its like pulling teeth trying to get a question answered. Ive repeatedly asked her about a finding on a test result from January of 2024 (its now March 2025), and I STILL dont have the answer. I saw her yesterday and, once again, asked her about the finding, and, yet again, my question was not answered, although she thinks she hasnt been dismissive with me??? Ive been having to research on my own to correlate the medical findings with what my body is feeling, but it certainly doesnt replace the knowledge of a physician. I wish Dr. Krull has some insight into what being dismissive does to my mental health. Im, unfortunately, going to have to find a new rheumatologist.

Rachel Nachtsheim Dr. Chipman is always doing his best to help. He listens to his patients and actually tries to understand what’s going on. I’ve had a lot of doctors tell me what I’m feeling and what I should do, but Dr. Chipman lets me tell him what’s going on with me, trusts that I know what’s happening in my body, and does his best to give me help in any ways he can when I need it. He has an open mind, he cares about his patients, and he makes relationships with them rather than just seeing us as another name on his clipboard
