2 /5 kezzy kitsune: I’ve been going to this church for most of my life and grew up with amazing people here, it was like my second home… but the superintendent that recently came had no regard for what this founding church had and decided to completely erase its name and it’s history in favor of another bigger church. Not to mention almost firing most of the staff that worked hard to keep this church running when they did nothing wrong. I pray that they find a way to change their minds about this. I’m not denying change, but I was appalled at how they executed this. Instead of taking the time handling it the most ethical way, within a week they took the easy way out and absolutely did not care about the livelihood of the church’s community because “it’s what god envisioned”. Pastor Taka was kind enough to soften the blow, but it still doesn’t change the fact that the church is being used for expansion. I’m happy for those who go to voice church and the opportunity for them to expand their community, but at what cost?
Edit: they changed the name back to afmc so I put an extra star for hope that this is one step towards reconciliation.
