5 /5 Christopher OConnor: I was heading to LA for a work conference and had an unexpected mechanical failure. I was 100 miles from home and had to have my vehicle towed to the nearest shop. It was the end of the day, and I asked the tow truck driver to take me to an auto parts store. He suggested O’Reilly’s where there’s an Auto Center near by with multiple shops. I was hoping one of the mechanics would assist even though it was 5pm. The first two people I approached both brushed me off. They couldn’t be bothered at 5pm. My third ask was to Emilio at Auto Precision Repair. He was closing up the shop for the evening. I explained what happened and he said that he worked on European Cars. He was trying to leave to see his dad whom he hadn’t seen in a year. He then said, “go get your truck and I’ll take a look”. He dropped everything to help me. What I thought was a simple belt turned into a little bit larger issue requiring a new belt and pulley. Fortunately, the auto-parts store had both parts in stock. Without Emilios kindness, I would have been stranded. After repairing my vehicle, I asked him how much for the work. He said pay whatever I felt was fair. I gave him the cash I had on hand (not nearly enough in my opinion) and offered to get more if there was a nearby Bank or put it on my credit card. He insisted “No” and sent me on my way. I’ll never forget Emelio’s kindness, If I lived in the area I would highly recommend his shop to everyone I know. There are still good people in this world!
