5 /5 Emme Kay: I was overdue for an oil change and I knew it. Then suddenly a belt started squealing intermittently while I was driving, so I finally scheduled the oil change and mentioned the squealing. They did some poking around while doing the oil change, and apparently cleaned up a little under the hood -- but nothing else seemed amiss? It seems like it fixed the problem though, and I think they didnt even charge me?! Swell place, cute shop dogs. I hope I dont have to go back any time soon, but Im glad to know theyre there! I may bring my car in for their "new car inspection" service, to make sure my cars on a good path. I havent had a consistent mechanic in ages...

5 /5 J&C Westenburg: I was traveling north on a camping trip when my 23 year old car broke down outside of Mt Shasta. Despite being busy, the Team did a quick diagnosis and were honest about the repair and the time it would take for parts + service. I appreciated that. Separately, during my stay in Mt Shasta while waiting for the repair, I suffered a gnarly bike accident. The crew at Brooks were tremendous - bringing my bags to the hospital, picking me up when I was discharged (I was traveling alone), and transporting me and my car + settling me into a local hotel. I couldn’t be more grateful. Great shop. Wonderful people.

2 /5 Brandon Strickland: Having some of the best reviews in town, I figured Brook’s would be a great option for fixing my truck that recently started showing a cylinder 5 misfire when diagnostics were ran. We had it towed immediately to Brook’s. We figured it was probably spark plugs. A few days passed and they called and “confirmed” that our spark plugs and coil packs needed to be replaced. A day later they call to update us. Unfortunately after the $1000 spark plug/coil replacement job, our truck is still misfiring cylinder 5. They proceed to recommend a further diagnostic test be run but to do so they must get deeper into things which they quote me an additional $700. That’s just to diagnose a problem… they claim it will take 3-4 hours of labor… they say they’ve seen this problem before and we most likely will need to have our engine replaced/rebuilt. This doesn’t sit right with me so I spoke to some friends who are locals and they suggested another place down the road. We picked our truck up from Brooks and took it to Bjers Auto. While it did take them almost a week to diagnose and fix our problems, they did it without much trouble at all. They ran a compression test which was never even suggested by brooks…the compression test revealed that our fuel injector for cylinder 5 was the culprit. After $700 and a week, Bjers has our truck running like it’s brand new. Watch out for mechanics who go from one problem to another much bigger problem. Brooks charges outrageous fees for simple diagnostics. Friendly people but they are no competition for Bjers Auto. Trust your intuition and always consider getting a second opinion. I’m sure glad we did.

5 /5 Cindy Miller: Theyre always great! After a recent servicing, they actually sent two guys over to look at my car after a service, everything was fine! My point being: How many companies these days are actually that customer service oriented! Im a Customer for life!
