Holy Innocents Catholic Church - Long Beach (CA)

5 /5 K. B.: Attended my first mass at Holy Innocents Catholic Church for the Sunday 9am Latin Mass. Beautiful, reverent and spirit filled. The Priest began the homily by reading the Scriptures / Liturgy of the Word in English and also did the homily in English connecting together the Scriptures with current challenges we all face in this current age (personally, nationally, in the world, and Mother Church). It is the best homily Ive heard in a long time. Also meaningful was that the Priest who celebrated wiped his eyes after raising the consecrated Sacred Body and Blood of Christ during the celebration of the Eucharist, clearly and deeply moved with the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist.

5 /5 Matthew: Very nice church. Has a Traditional Latin Mass service at 9AM on Sundays. Parking is a little tight so get there early. Praise be to God!

5 /5 Herman: Beautiful, thriving, little parish just north of Downtown Long Beach. I like that the altar is traditional and all the masses are ad orientem, that is, facing towards the tabernacle rather than away from it. And the fact that the tabernacle is front and center is a big plus; not to mention the communion rails and the more traditional method of giving communion. Good, good. Fr Irving is a wonderful pastor, may the Lord grant him a long and spiritually fruitful life.

5 /5 Lauren Amezcua: The best church in Long Beach. I love the Traditional Latin Mass. Father Peter & Father Robert both have great sermons. Ever since I started coming here, I have grew a lot more in my faith. Don’t sleep on the Latin Mass.
