5 /5 Melvin Montano: I was looking into a used car for my son in Tracy and wanted to get it checked out before buying it and giving it to him. Luckily the owner of the car agreed to a pre-purchase inspection so we met at Japanese Auto Service. The shop had a nice waiting area with a TV and even coffee. The mechanic did a thorough inspection and let us both know the status of the car. He was very honest and mentioned that nothing needs immediate fixing but if something breaks down in the future, he can fix it. Super friendly.

Late at night, my wife hit a curb in a residential neighborhood and the front driver-side wheel on our Honda HR-V got badly damaged. The car was barely drivable and could only go about 20 mph. I found Japanese Auto Service through a quick Google search the next morning and brought the car in right away. The best customer service! Eric, the very knowledgeable mechanic who owns and works there, took great care of the car. They diagnosed the issue quickly and replaced the damaged wheel rim. Eric and the staff were amazing—they were so polite and kept me updated on my car the whole time. They got everything fixed within a single day and charged a very reasonable price. I dont know anything about cars and both of the owners (Eric and Dora) were very patient in answering my questions.
