5 /5 Valley Voice: I have a 2005 Silverado that is my pride and joy, owned it since 2009. After 230,000 my transmission went out in 2020. Made the mistake of letting a tree shade mechanic do the swap and had issues ever since. I went to 3 different REPUTABLE shops in the modesto area, making multiple visits over the past 2 years, trying to get my truck right. Way too much money to even think of, makes me sick. THEN I WENT TO JESS JR. Even though his shop doesnt advertise as transmission specialists, I stopped into his shop because its close to my house and I thought a smaller shop might have the time to really look into my issues. Thats exactly what happened! After literally 30 months of trying to get to the bottom of the issue, Jesse Jr. Held onto my truck for a week and figured it out. After roughly a dozen trips between the other 3 shops, my trucks issues were finally solved. When i first brought my truck to Jesse, I tried to tell him to replace my TCM because I was convinced that was the issue. Ended up being the wrong torque converter all along. my truck has a unique powertrain combo and the other 3 shops just werent taking the time to really look into what my truck needed.
