5 /5 Julio Lombera: I went to Lake tahoe on business stayed 3 nights on our last day there. my check engine light came on.we went to OReilly to get a diagnostic check they said we should get the car checked out by a mechanic before heading home since we had a 7 and a half hour drive.we drove to 3 shops and they did not want to help us everyone said we needed and appointment. We went to norms as our last resort to see if they could help.we were giving up hope but thank God that the lady that was there and the mechanic helped us out and explained that I had nothing to worry about with the check engine light it would be ok to drive home. What I am trying to say is that if u are ever in lake tahoe and need an honest and trustworthy mechanic please dont wate your time going anywhere else go to norms they are amazing people.

5 /5 Mark Wittlich: Norm’s was an experience I wasn’t expecting, I always hear Norm’s is too expensive and takes too long to get anything repaired. NOT TRUE, Josh and staff herd that were having financial problems due to medical issues and we blew a head gasket. We got 3 estimates and they beat them all. Even went above and beyond and not only fixed the Head Gasket but put in a new radiator and replaced the Timing Belt and Transmission flush and the 60,000 mile service that was overdue, we got the car back in a timely manner and the car was cleaned and runs perfectly. We are so pleased with Norm’s we will use them from now on. Great Christian people and even better customer service. You guys were there when we needed you and we are so grateful that words cannot explain the happiness we are feeling. Thanks so much for the honest, hard work. You guys deserve a medal. M and Z

3 /5 LOVE FAITH-HOPE: Yes, ALTITUDE can effect engine performance, even in some newer vehicles. Mine started acting sluggish right when I got to South Tahoe. I panicked and thought it was my transmission. Checked all the fluids and everything. I mean the car made it all the way from Modesto so why would it suddenly go bad ? So I just kept going carefully and slowly. Made it back to the lower level and everything was running fine again. My only conclusion was that it was the altitude , not getting enough oxygen. Sure, maybe I need a tune-up too.

5 /5 jessie: Called to get my radiator fixed, there was a small consistent leak. They were able to get me in the next day, replaced everything, flushed and refilled my whole cooling system. They were amazing and stayed under the specific budget I mentioned. Great customer service. A week later, I drove 2,400 miles in a 5 day period & had no issues at all!! They did a great job!!

5 /5 Dave Hoagland: Our 98 Forester RV tow car blew a head gasket while we were in the Sierra, luckily I found Norms on the web. Josh owns the business now and did an outstanding job for us in 2 days while we camped in town and enjoyed a few days at the lake. They wisely replaced all the serviceable items that were accessible while the engine was out, including water pump, thermostat, drive belts, idler pulleys, hoses, tensioner, timing belt, gaskets, fixed all oil leaks, new plugs and wires, oil and filters, the most thorough repair job I have ever had done, almost an overhaul. I had asked for a new clutch but they told me it looked almost new so that saved me $400 that I had already agreed to pay. I arrived bummed that I needed a head gasket on an older car, left very satisfied that I have a solidly maintained vehicle that is good to go indefinitely. Our experience could not have been better!
