Point Lobos State Natural Reserve - (CA)

5 /5 Jerrie Donovan: This is a small but powerful state reserve. We spent all day there and walked the whole park we clocked 10miles. The views are amazing and to see the wildlife going about their life was captivating. It was windy and cool on one side and warm on the other side. There are several parking areas to not have to walk the whole park, but that takes away from enjoying the park.

The trails are well-maintained with plenty of scenic stops along the way—each one offering something new, from dramatic ocean cliffs and sea lion sightings to peaceful coves and cypress groves. The history of the area adds so much depth to the experience—you really feel like you’re walking through a storybook of California’s coastal past. Whether you’re a hiker, nature lover, photographer, or just looking for a peaceful stroll with jaw-dropping views, Point Lobos is a must-visit. Truly one of the most beautiful places on the coast!

5 /5 Daniel Jackson: (SHOW UP EARLY) Absolutely incredible. The views have to be some of the most incredible I’ve experienced to date. The wildlife and landscape are plentiful and unique. There is several parking lots and a trail for everyone depending on level of experience and stamina. I will definitely plan to come back at some time in the future and would recommend to anyone who’s considering. And like I said in the beginning show up early for parking space. We arrived around 8:30am and there was already about a 30 car line waiting to get in to park but there is parking available outside along the road for free but will also fill up very fast and can be quite an additional distance to walk to the entrance depending. So plan accordingly and have fun!

5 /5 Henry Wang: Visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was awesome. There was a $10 entrance fee for a vehicle and I was able to drive around to each spot. There is limited parking at each location, especially on the weekends, but people come and go so it’s not that bad. The views were amazing and the hikes were peaceful. Saw lots of birds, otters, some seals, and tide pools. Definitely a great spot for people who love the coastal views along with some light hiking trails.
