don meyers A Huge Thank you to Darrell Tripp and crew. Im a week away from a 2 week ski vacation back to Idaho, Wyoming and Montana. A deer runs into my truck on the passenger side. It jacks up the hood and the length of the passenger side of my new 2021 Chevy Colorado... Most concerning is the passenger head light. Its busted open. I called Gold Rush Chevy in Auburn and was told Chevy doesnt make replacement headlights yet, your truck is to new. I file a claim with my insurance company and they have 3 recommendations for body shops. I check customer reviews and Tripps was at the top of their list. I take it to Tripps, Darrell greets me and does a thorough walk around the truck and takes photos. I told him about my upcoming trip and that I cant get a replacement headlight. He calmly says, let me make a few phone calls. 5 minutes later he tells me Hows 3 oclock sound. I reply for what? To have a replacement headlight here so you can go on your trip! I literally get up and bow several times in appreciation. He replaced the headlight the next day and off I go on vacation. I brought it to the shop upon return and they began work on it. They kept me posted on progress and it was delivered on time in GREAT condition. I would Highly recommend Tripps Auto Body if you are in need of their service. Their repair even met the approval of Cleopatra the Wonder Lab! Thanks again Darrell and Tripps Auto Body Crew. Job Well Done!!!

They take the time to explain what’s wrong in ways I understand so it’s doesn’t feel like a stick up in a foreign language. They let me know what I need in the order of importance and help me plan according to my budget. And I trust them to do the job right.

Evan Ross Murphy Spencer the owner is helpful and knowledgeable and treats his workers well, (closed Friday after 40 hr week) the kind of guy who gets things done for neighbors and who elders can trust. Two such patrons came in while I was there, one elder woman was there for what seemed like reassurance with a recent fix and maybe a hug, and another gentleman lamenting that he had lost his job recently and might need help. Spencer listened with care and helped both, while easing their worries, he had my radiator repaired in an hour and a half to keep me going to work the following day and he has helped me many times. In a world where it’s hard to know who to trust, Spencer here is one of the good guys.

rohini moradi Hands down best mechanic in Nevada City! I can’t say enough good things about Nevada City Auto Service! We had a blown head gasket, and they not only fixed it perfectly but also gave us an oil change. The owner is awesome—super friendly and knowledgeable. Plus, there are two sweet dogs that greet you when you arrive, which makes the whole experience even better! The prices are fair, and the quality of work is top-notch. I feel so lucky to have found this place and will definitely be back for any future car needs!

Les Worthington Dave runs a good, honest shop. Had an appointment for a smog this morning. No waiting. Joe the smog tech did a fine job. He did not leave any oily handprints, or mess with any of my settings in the car. Ive got nothing bad to say about Dave and his crew. Totally recommend them!
