5 /5 Megan Giles: There is so much I can say about how wonderful this salon is. The salon itself is absolutely gorgeous—modern, spacious, and impeccably clean, creating such a relaxing atmosphere. I also appreciate the thoughtful touches, like the variety of snacks and drinks available, making me feel extra pampered. Amber is so thoughtful of ALL clients that come to her salon (not just her own) she even makes sure to provide gluten-free snacks as well, so celiacs like me aren’t left out! All of the stylists here have been so warm and welcoming, it really feels like you’re just hanging out with your girls. When I started going to Amber for my hair, I needed some serious help. My hair was blotchy and extremely damaged. I had been asking my previous stylist for something she was still unable to achieve after 7 years of consistency. After 1 appointment with Amber I finally had the hair of my dreams! She spent hours hand painting each strand to create a smooth even lift and correct the damage done by my previous stylist. She is so talented and genuinely cares for the health of your hair. Highly recommend to anyone looking for great service in a beautiful, comfortable environment with stylists who genuinely enjoy helping you achieve the hair of your dreams!!

5 /5 Angel JR. TOYS: I came in for a haircut. I had a lot of postpartum hair loss so I needed a good chop. I was booked with Kaya. She is amazing. She cut my hair the perfect length. Loved the customer service very friendly and welcoming. Took her time and cared for my hair the way I needed. My hair felt so much better and healthier afterwards. I’m already looking forward to going back. So glad I found this salon. I’m very picky and will not just go to anyone. However now I found my home salon. Thank you Aurora salon

(Mind you this is all within a 2 1/2 week window) To anyone who reads this review, I’m gonna you a little context before I tell you how I feel about this salon: So I’m new to California with absolutely no idea where to get my hair done at all (which really sucked). Previously I’ve always gotten my hair done by the same person over and over again in NJ that I didn’t bother to even remember what type of blonde, whatever dimensions, full-head, half-head, etc that I would get done. Not too long before I came to Salon Aurora I had my hair done at this absolutely horrible salon in Jersey. Long story short I was blonde for 8 years but had to dye my hair black since I joined the military. Now I want to go back to what I previously was since it’s been 2 years I was blonde. My hair is a dark brown black color. I thought I’d be blonde but it definitely was not what I wanted at all…… When I mean it was so bad….like real bad from this salon. I had no idea if it could even be fixed because my hair already went through so much to become blonde again. Anyways fast forward to Salon Aurora ——> I tell Amber my situation through a consultation that I booked on a Wednesday. She checks out my hair and says we can definitely fix this. At this point I was feeling so ugly with my hair that I never wanted to leave it down. So after the consultation, I make the appointment for the next opening she had next week. Next week comes around and Amber does my hair……when I mean, WOW. WOW. She blow dried the front two pieces of my hair and I almost could have started tearing. I felt so relieved that I found Amber to do my hair. From the way she does your hair, to the knowledge, to the personable, bubbly personality. She’s really so amazing at what she does and how she makes the magic happen! She made me feel that I can trust her and felt reassured. I get kind of worried when it comes to my hair after the horrible experiences that I’ve had in the past. I can’t thank her enough for everything with fixing my hair!! If you’re reading this having the same problem or similar, just book your consultation. I promise you, you won’t be disappointed. And if my review of words can’t convince you, then just look at the photos and it’ll speak for itself. I HIGHLY recommend coming to this salon girl, just dooooo it. Also, Salon Aurora has such an aesthetically calm vibe in there, it’s so homey. So seriously, go check it out! :-)

5 /5 Mary Beth MacDonald: Kaya did my hair. I came to her a HOTT MESS! My appointment included a cut and full color. I brought to her my concerns for the current upkeep of the blonde in my hair and my very choppy uneven haircut I received 2 months ago. I expressed my desire to go from blonde back to brunette and that I did not want much hair cut off as I am trying to grow my hair out. The work she did on my hair superseded my expectations. I was really shocked at how great the brunette color looked on me. She showed me all the imperfections from the previous haircut I received and fixed them. The hair wash and massage she gave was exceptionally relaxing and most enjoyable. I will not go anywhere else in San Diego. I booked my next appointment with Kaya before leaving. The salon was so clean and organized. Everyone I spoke to was so kind and polite. I am so blessed to have found this place and to have met Kaya, my new hairstylist!

5 /5 Yasmine Keasling: This salon is amazing and Amber is the best. I’m very a much a “I don’t know what I want to do” type of person when it comes to my hair. I love that I can tell Amber “do what you think will look good” and she kills it every single time. I have been living in San Diego for about 8 years now and have tried many different salons/stylists but Salon Aurora is the best by far. I love Amber and I’ll keep going to her as long as she’ll have me!!
