5 /5 Casey Ream: I visited United Congregational Christian Church with the intention of just sitting in on a service to see how it was. A few church members kindly greeted me before the service. Once the service began, I was joyed to see a choir of seasoned singers bring the church together in traditional hymns that I grew up with. Suddenly, I felt at strong sense of home while hearing a soulful song from the congregation and knowing that I was called to this location for some reason within my spirit. The message of openness and inclusion was indeed an extravagant welcome. I was surprised to witness a diverse group of people who were in attendance. Surprisingly, I already felt comfortable enough after the service (which include communion) to stick around and have coffee with some people who stay after for Fellowship. There was no pressure from anyone to stick around or to explain my reasons for coming. I felt free and welcomed, and most importantly--secured in Gods unfailing grace. I will be back! :)
