5 /5 shelly ehler: I grew up catholic having to go to church every Sunday - it wasnt an option. When I became an adult, and did have a choice, I chose not to go anymore. It just wasnt for me. I never really thought "church" was for me until I started coming to the Ventura Center for Spiritual Living. I honestly didnt know there was a church that was loving and accepting of ALL people. A church that spreads and teaches love and kindness and not fear. It was so refreshing to listen to an inspiring message that I can relate to instead of a bible message being interpreted to push a particular agenda. I started attending in 2014 and its rare for me not to go. I love it! Rev Bonnie is the absolute BEST! She is so real and has an awesome sense of humor which I really appreciate. Such an incredible spiritual teacher who shows up as she is never trying to be something she isnt. I appreciate that. She is special. This church is special. Attending VCSL and taking classes here over the years has enriched my life beyond measure. I love it, my husband loves it and so do my sons. I highly recommend!!!
