Started off as a Business major and had some wonderful professors with tech and Fortune 500 experience. I ended up switching to Biology and had the most life memorable experience. SJSU will always have a special place in my heart. I promise you this, they will not cater to spoiled brats and that will definitely prepare you for the real world.

I did not realize that they have beatiful and newer looking buildings becuse i never walked inside the campus The lawns are well maintained. I understand that the academic ranking was pretty good also last year. Bravo!

Samal Maleesha A very nice place and good environment. Professors are really good and some of them also teach in San jose state. Having sometimes problems with outsiders and homeless people roaming around the college. one of the annoying thing was unknown persons coming to the library asking for money. Unless than that everything is perfect.

A D Overall, the colleges is good. However, other colleges are doing much better. $ stars for the efforts in trying to become better. Recently they have started to work on the new Gymnasium building. Teachers and professors are good but they are very diverse. The teaching style of all the teachers differ and they might not be ok with everyone. So choose your class wisely. Overall the crowd is good but sometimes you might find some not so friendly people. I am not sure about the safety. However, most of the colleges in the bay area sucks with their security provisions.

qian wu This is a great school. I just had a bad experiences about deals with administration record people today 3/13/2024 time around 1:50pm. The person has no patience for me. I was asked to wait me a second to check my email about my counselor. She just hang up my phone when I asked her name. Such a hopeless feeling. This is school people should help students with their problems.

Melany Santana My experience at this school, being English my second language, was very good because Ms. Sarah and Ms. Crystal were very patient with me. The school also offers financial aid in case you cant afford to pay in full. Once youre a student, youll always get help from career services and your teachers, and theres not a single thing that can go wrong. I truly recommend studying there. :)

qlv assoc It is a regional community college serving East-Side San Jose. It was built in the 1970s. Originally with two buildings functioning as classrooms and labs plus separate admin building, library. In the 2000s the college has been expanding with additional classroom / lab buildings, a new gym. Its sister campus is San Jose City College in the central area of San Jose near Bascom and 280. A distinctive character of EVC is the pond in front of campus - home of several resident ducks, swans, as well as its adjacent Montgomery Hill.

Vincent Tang 4/19/2022 Front renovations complete. Very pleasing in the night light. Indoor classes with mask restrictions. 5/7/2021, no indoor classes due to State restrictions. Convenient for local High Schools for Accel classes. Teachers are helpful and caring for students.

laurent nguyen Dr.Ezzat is the worst teacher I saw in my life. Pompous and very heavily strong accent, making his course a total garbage. No wonder they shutdown this school. Careful he is also teaching at Santa Clara university (not sure if he was not just bragging about it). Avoid this teacher at all cost. He is just a pompous retired phD showing off his past stories . Only SVU could hire this Fake teacher

Alex Holler As a masters student who came in from the workforce I could tell all of my professors had heaps of industry experience. This was such a healthy departure from my undergrad experience at a big state school where academics focus on themselves. Many members of staff at USV are genuinely interested in the success and understanding of their students.

Logan Shelton Cogswell is a decent school. The school is a good 3/5 stars and thats being generous. Tuition raised every fall. It use to be ~$8450 for 15 credits and $3600 for housing, now its ~$800 / credit and $5500 for housing. Housing are nice apartments but youre better off campus. The education is good. I think the gaming program is getting more solid and building great, its known in the industry. General Education here is a joke and honestly not worth the high price, while the engineering courses Im conflicted on.. I was teaching my data structures teacher? It was odd. But the gaming always gets some great teachers. I cant speak for DAA, only GDD side of the school. 3/5

JC H Cogswell has definitely been a journey. Right from the first few steps into Cogswell I felt this was a good fit for the kind of experience I wanted to have in my college career. The students are welcoming and dance to their own beat. As an LGBT student, I feel this is also a safe environment. The staff is welcoming and, unlike other schools, they REMEMBER you! They check up on you and ask how your art is doing. Its a nice feeling, Cogswell is definitely a friendly community. Everyone helps each other out in someway, everyone listens to one another when a problem arises. Ive had only good experiences. The classes have helped me grow in my studies, and I definitely have retained everything Ive learned from figure drawing to Python. This is more than a school to me; it is where you can meet life-long friends, make good connections and have a second home! Cogswell is a great school and I encourage anyone to visit the campus to see if it is a right fit for them! You will not be disappointed.

Zhang Evelyn Analytics program from this campus is extremely suck. No single one professor knows how to teach and offer proper grade. They dont earn our respect and they dont care about if the students learned, since they are all full time working professionals and extremely lacking experience in teaching. It turns out several students either drop off and the rest dont expect anymore from this program. You gonna be on your own if you get in.

Disappointment NEU This is the worst University I have ever seen. Their quality of teaching is way overrated(Udemy is better way to go). 10%+ drop out rate in our cohort. If I knew this, I will never consider coming here.

Josh Bruns Veterans do not go here. The first time I should have left right away. My English teacher wanted us to write something on an online ad so he went online and pulled up a sex doll website and described about picture on it, then continued to scroll through different versions of sex dolls. Very very unprofessional never seen this type of behavior before. Also if you have question about something for teacher and send email it takes forever to get response if you get one at all. 2 different teachers did not correct any of my lab simulations which caused me to fail classes. I even sent proof I did them and got nothing from teacher. Emailed school about my concerns and was brushed off even though it was supposed to be sent to dean. I guess my concerns don’t matter and what the teachers do there is fine. I will be talking to my lawyer about legal action against school.

Kris Olarte Absolutely love this school! In terms of education, they offer numerous programs taught by some of the most knowledgeable professors that invest a lot of time and effort into making sure their students are able to learn and use new skills that they learn and apply it into careers for the future. Class sizes may be small but that only means more interaction and face to face learning with each student there. The staff are some of the most thoughtful and helpful people Ive ever met in a school setting. From setting up appointments with advisers, posting up helpful information about job postings and clubs workshops, or even greeting and providing students with snacks during their classes, they are definitely the accommodating and considerate towards anyone seeking help when it comes to their academic future and their careers.

Chetan Hiremath Lucas College and School of Business is the Business school of San Jose State University. It offers many undergard and grad programs, of which MBA and MST are quite popular. Entrepreneurship workshop & Silicon Valley location makes the school a favorite place for students attending EMBA consortium.
