Danielle Wicks I have had a wonderful experience. I took most of my prerequisites at SJVC, and I was accepted into their Dental hygiene program. From start to now; I have been extremely impressed. Immediately, I had help From the admissions advisor, Mary. She guided me on the prerequisites needed and how to move forward. The instructors for those courses were amazing. Now in the DH program, I am blown away with the instructors. Always willing to help, teach and guide us. They are all so passionate and it rubs off on me and gets me excited for my future. The Director, Mrs. Block always has her door open and is extremely approachable. I feel I will leave this program with all the skills I need for my field and more. The facility is always clean, and the staff always pleasant. Overall, obviously I love it and I’m proud to be a student

luigy Bustamante Good associates degree,yet when I went to go and ask for any information on the bachelors program they said they cannot get me any information on the bachelors until i am in graduation status. I think the 50 thousand dollars is a big decision for me and exactly why i need this extra time to think about what my next move will be after my associates and they decide to not give me any information on this??? How stupid does that sound? I even explained to them that i am using a veterans benefit that requires this information upfront before they approve the next program and they still did not care about this. This is beyond me why a school wouldnt want to offer up some information on their own programs. I am beyond disappointed in my school and it is beyond me why a school would place such a roadblock on a good revenue stream they have. If you dont want to get honest communication from a school choose sjvc ontario.

Rookie and vintage graded I attended the Electrical program from 2021-2022 and it was the best decision I’ve made. I had two amazing instructors in MR Deberry and Coach ! I learned everything there was about electrical and how it works. Both instructors were very strict with the rules and treated the classroom as a workplace which is needed these days. Only negative thing was we did have an elder instructor for 2 weeks who did nothing but thankfully they moved him after we all complained. Still to this day 3 years later I send text messages to my former instructors and they always help me out.

Michael Hart I graduated as a respiratory care practitioner/therapist at this amazing facility! I learned a wide range of material with preceptorship that will get you to the finish line. Thank you to all my educators

Katie Miller If you think you should attend this college DONT!! I took one class and realized its a run around joke just to attend classes. So I quit going and canceled just like they said to do. Now they are charging me for attending and books Ive been trying to get ahold of someone or anyone for 2 years and I keep getting told oh it takes a couple days to figure it out then I get nothing and now my credit took a hit and now they are telling me I cant return anything because its years later but then its not them for never getting back to my via calls or emails. Its a joke

Denise Calito Don’t waste your time or money here!!! This school only cares about the money and nothing else. They care about the students. The teacher are sick, will tell you to your face that they don’t care because they already have a degree and they are getting paid so they don’t care. They will tell you ask for help when you need it but when you do they will make excuses to not make time for you. Teacher will make you feel stupid in front of the class. My lab instructor sucked so bad some students transferred to the la location. That’s how bad it is. I could go on and on but do yourself a favor and don’t even go here. Take your money and time somewhere else.

Josh E STAY AWAY. They will cheat you over and over again. I lost so much money & time here that I will never get back. They are a for profit school & that’s all they want - profit. They don’t care about people. The system is manufactured & flawed to favor them, not you. Do yourself an enormous favor and just stay away from at all costs

Sergio S. Borrello is probably one of the worst “so called” teachers. Her classes were a torture to attend. She probably makes bonuses by not passing her students and I swear she must enjoy torturing them. Go back to wherever part of earth you have been erupted from lady! You’re the d-e-v-i-l

Jessica Alvarez it breaks my heart to pour the truth, as this school is great but lacks on helping students succeed. it is sad that after being dismissed and you appeal to get let back in, if your appeal is approved you have to "audit" courses you received a level one on the proctors. I feel this doesnt define the student you are nor if you will excel in the program it is very unfair. It has come to my attention that many students fail their audit term and are easily let go when this exam doesnt define you. I do believe west coast university needs to fix this issue.

Jasmine Fernandez It is not worth the time, no matter how well they try to convince that its worth your time. Please do not fall for it. Do your research. The classes they offer will not be accredited in California State Universities eyes.

Reylina Espinoza This review is not for the school itself but for a professor Dr. Marlow. He is an amazing instructor and cares about his students. He always works with you and gives extra credit on his exams. I have 18 other students that will say the same. He has been the professor we have had at the school. Oh and the dean Kurt Nelson is very helpful also!

Virgee Sunflowerpuff Let’s just say you get from your education what you put in ya know. I went to the Vet tech program in 2013-14. Met my best friends there that I still hang out with til this day. Still can walk into the campus and be greeted by Dean the program director who is amazing ! Passed my national and state exam first time but I can’t even tell you how hard I studied for those test. I got a job maybe 3/4 months after graduating and that with me going on countless interview i technically didn’t have working experience in the field, even though I was a RVT and that’s what most of the jobs where looking for but I didn’t give up. Ive worked in emergency for the pass almost 5 yrs, I’ve been an animal shelter clinic manager. Now it’s hard and fast pace so do your homework and show up to class ! Wish it wasn’t so expensive but education is expensive. Oh and a lot of the techs I’ve met throughout my years have gone or know someone that has gone to Platt. If they offered a Bachelors degree for the program I would definitely come back for it!

Mariah N After getting in touch with Taryn in the admissions office, my experience has been nothing short of amazing. Everything has been smooth and straightforward from the very beginning. After hearing glowing reviews from friends, I decided to give it a try, and I’m so glad I did! From the moment I walked in for orientation, I was met with warmth and kindness that instantly made me feel at home. This is my second nursing school, and my first experience was far from positive, so walking into such a welcoming and supportive environment means the world to me. I truly appreciate it.

Amanda Acerra This review is based entirely off of my experience with enrollment. I have reached out for a few weeks now trying to get information on enrollment and the response has been severely lacking. Taryn, I believe is the person who is supposed to respond with information has texted twice saying expect a call from this number and then nothing. I have called and was told she was on another call and she would return my call as soon as she was off the other call. Nothing. I dont feel like this is a pleasant experience and makes me wonder if this is really a good place to get an education.

Cory Rogers. Devry Keller Graduate - The teachers are good, but not all of them. My experience with them was good except for the academic department. Trying to get in touch with your counselor is a joke. She is always gone and the other counselors have told me on several occasions that I must wait for my individual counselor to take care of issues, unsatisfactory. If starting over I would have gone to another college where there is more time to learn and the teachers are better.

M L UPDATE 2019 (At bottom) Ive been attending Devry for almost a year and so far Ive had a really good experience here, particularly with getting help directly from the instructors mostly on my time, and when I needed it. Although, the only negative I can really speak for is the fact that I have had a bad experience when it came to my "guidance counselor." When I first signed up, I was told it was one person and when I went to speak to them I was told it was another. As time went by I kept getting a different counselor everytime and right now I dont know who she/he is or if they even exist! But I will go as far as to say that when I needed to talk to one, there was always someone to help me. I simply dislike having to explain my situation over and over again. I dont enjoy knowing that most, if not all, of the counselors know my business. Ive been using the GI Bill only, so I have no debts.. at least not to this date. I have heard many negatives about Devry in general, but I have friends who have graduated from Devry and have jobs in their field. The suggestion theyve given me (and one I have always used during my community college years back in the day) was to look into internships.. Paid or unpaid.. as they are an excellent way to get your foot in the door. Ive only been here about 10 months or so and the fact that Ive already been offered internship opportunities from businesses directly tells me that I must be doing, and talking to the right people. The fact that these places recognize Devry as a "good" school tells me that theyve had good experiences with students who graduated from Devry. The rumor mill has been saying that Devry is "paying" and "begging" companies and businesses to come talk to students.. but even if that were true (as I have not been able to confirm or deny it) people are getting picked up for work. Ive seen so many students drop from classes at the beginning and on the last week of the session.. and it explains a lot as to why theyve lost so much money investing in their education here. Cmon now, if you would have finished the class on time you wouldnt have had to repay to retake the same course! In my opinion, the waste of money is due to the students, not Devry. Its a shame and almost enfuriating to see students leave mid-session.. especially when I have had to take other classes due to my priority ones being full. Thanks for taking the opportunity away from those who actually want to study and attend the class. Update: I graduated back in 2017 but have been busy I keep forgetting to update this review. So towards the last year at DeVry I applied for various internship and OJTs with different companies in the industry and was accepted into the NSA OOP program & Internship as well as the FBIs honors Program and DHS Secretarys Honors Program. Unfortunately I had to put a pause on my career given that my husband and I had a baby. So in the meantime I worked with a local affiliate with the Police Department to continue honing my forensics skills part-time and winning scholarships to pay for my CISSP certification and other certs to keep myself up to date with IT and the sort... gotta stay marketable! So while I may not be working full-time, Ive kept myself busy. Opportunities have come my way thanks to those internships and programs I applied for during my stint at DeVry. The best part of it all is people are often surprised when they find out I came from a "for-profit" education. I even got to work first hand with one of my online professors during an OJT opportunity I picked up, who I had the pleasure to finally meet in person and has become one of my mentors over the years. Like I said, if you want to make it in the world, you gotta put in the effort. The staff can only do so much for you and you gotta meet them half way. Dont expect to get anywhere if you expect others to do the work for you... youre setting yourself up for a very short and unsatisfying career.

Chanisa Gilliam Been here at this location for the last years, great staff and professors. Course are great for those who are looking to pursue Business and Technology type of careers. Advisors help students from beginning to the end of degree. Career Advisors help with resumes and interview techniques. They do not place you with a job, that is your own priority. I loved my experiences here at DeVry!!

Taylor Black Absolutely the worst school to go to. Especially as a Vet. I’ve had nothing but issues with advisors. They are so hard to get ahold of and mine would constantly change. They would also change my schedule without notification and that would mess up my GI bill. The financial department is TERRIBLE! I’m so embarrassed to say I’m getting my degree from here but I’m only 2 classes away so at this point I’ll settle for making sure that nobody ever goes here. If I could leave negative stars I would.

Vero not worth your time and money, I suggest Colorado tech university, LAPU to name a few good ones. The website you will be expected to utilize for this class is extremely difficult to navigate, its hard to understand what is due and when, or what assignments have been done. It looks like they didnt take the time or the money to fully develop there website and it makes it so much harder to get things done. I spent most of my time trying to figure out where everything is before I actually can start the assignment. The professors are equally difficult to get a hold of, when you do get a response its usually a generic response that has no merit. You can ask a straight forward question and theyll respond with glad to hear your feedback, this semester is gonna be great keep up the hard work? Iol if your a serious student find somewhere else I would suggest

Maggie Carothers I had a great education here and graduated in 2015. I’ve been working as a pharmacy Tech for 10 years now but when trying to reach out to the school as an alumni for support. No one had any information on the Pharm Tech program that was offered in 2013/2014 so they referred me to the Sacramento main office. After being on hold for 30 mins, I had to leave a voicemail, and I never received a call back. Called a few days later and no one can get me transferred to the right person that could assist me. At this point, I can’t even obtain a transcript of proof of education from this school. Trade school debt is substantial, seek elsewhere if you’re on a budget.

Katherine Madarazo I dont think Carrington College, Pomona Campus staff takes their job seriously. We started the enrollment process to get my Veterinarian Technician degree last week. This past Tuesday I had a remote Financial Aid meeting. It was supposed to be "one on one" but there are more new student on that call to assist the test of our FAFSA. After I submit the entrance counselling and all the necessary financial doc they needed, Wendy (the financial advisor) specifically told me that she will email me 3 forms that needed to fill up before our meeting tomorrow. Wendy stated that she will email it to me after she hang up the phone. Its been 48 hours and I had called to follow up 4x, leave a vm and I still havent received any form or call from both Kris and Wendy. My excitements on going back to college, getting my degree, make my life better, turns into stress and disappointments. Right now I don’t think the quality of service and assistance the school provide will be worth $30k or investments. I’m super disappointed.
