Angela Valencia This college was great for a start. Some professors (not all) just care about a paycheck rather than helping students. Some of us had to self-teach ourselves due to lack of help from professors. It is very difficult to reach out to a counselor or even get an appt. with one if any! The campus itself is amazing and big. Many upgrades and nice spots to just walk, study, or hang out. Parking can be challenging but available if you dont mind walking. Overall, it is a great school and affordable if you qualify for financial help. If we can get appointments with counselors at any time of the day, that would be awesome as some of us work and hardly have mornings or time to see one on their schedule. Please make hours more flexible for those who cannot afford to miss a day of work, thank you.

Fred Garcia I went to this school to take science classes. The campus itself had beautiful vegetation and a beautiful pond. The library was very helpful during midterms & final exams. The success center has hard working passionate staff to help students with tutoring. Theres a nice looking gym I never went inside to but it looks nice from the outside. Their cafeteria food is really good, especially breakfast burrito. Parking is not free but not expensive either. Also really good restaurants around the school.

I. Love Music I attended here from 1991-1998 and earned my first AA. SBVC was a great start to my academic career. Now, there has been declining enrollment, not unaffected by the Pandemic. While professors remain the bright spot, it appears that student services, in general, leaves much to be desired. Unfortunately, there exists much unnecessary red tape in getting expedited services. Policies are stuck in the 1990s. Counselors are NEVER available. 30 years ago, there were always 2 counselors working nights who would see students until 7pm on a walk-in basis. What the hell happened? Beautiful campus with new buildings; but this place is a shell of itself. It gives the impression that this school does not care about students. So disappointing.

Samantha Liu CSUSB Tech Support Center No support, no response, no way to reach anyone. I called and opened a ticked which says a consultant will contact me but nobody reached me. After 7 days, I called again to escalate the case, no response. This school is very bureaucratic. If you call, it directs you to outsourced call center who cannot help you with your problem. No follow up. No way to reach anyone in that dept. An update in 2025, the response time has improved significantly to be 1 to 2 days.

Archer Ledian YOU WILL GET ANXIETY ATTENDING THIS SCHOOL AND BE MISS TREATED!! Do not trust the reviews that speak high about the university, they might be the staff themselves. The staff members of most departments are unaware they of the university rules. Each department has no information about the other department. They misguide you to a department that you don’t need and tell you “that’s where you need to go. Other than the fact of the bad manners that the financial centre has with students it’s a racist environment. You will be in a huge stress just from the staff.

Kirsha Fields If I could give 0 stars I would. Lets start that they are so unorganized and unprofessional the school will call you and tell you, your missing work and your not. They can be very difficult when you are in need of validation. Katherine and Jason are the best instructors but the Administrators of the school are horrible! Brian is horrible, Cheyenne is horrible. They only care about your payments and when you are not saying words that Brian likes he will kick you out of class. I just was kicked out because I called the entire staff unprofessional, and are! Brians upset so they continue to keep holding me back and it’s flustering none the less they dont care! Not keeping up with payments, placing you in 2nd term then following up a month later to kick me out over something that happened a month ago is beyond crazy. I’m unsure if I should be getting the senator involved or not. I wouldnt recommend this school but if you do attend stay in contact with the instructors!

tiny t I have daughters that walk by the school every day to go to the high school, and it seems pretty safe. It is crazy getting there in the early morning hours and around 1. So if youre running behind Be careful because the traffic getting to the school and the traffic leaving the school is horrendous. There are plenty of places around the school to grab a bite to eat, what I dont like is there are not very many places to have for entertainment around the school on the campus they have more but around the campus they have very few entertainment things to do. They have decent food but there is much to be desired.

Robert Smith Studied Political Science for my BA. The parking is sometimes silly, but there are a lot of options. Needing to take certain classes was sometimes disenchantment, because you would occasionally get a PowerPoint lecturer (verbatim reading.)

James Briggs Great school if you dont like your radio to be in your car when you go to leave, first day welcome gesture from the community. Dropped my class immediately. I later went and applied at crafton hills college in Yucaipa and commuting back and forth, no break ins, not even a dent in my car from the busy parking lot. Make the commute dont settle

Kunich Julie-Kate (JulieKate) It’s alright, The bed is comfortable to me and has a nice view but a very tiny space and the bathtub drain was corroded and their was a cockroach in the overhead light. Had to call RA and she wanted me to take a picture of the cockroach. The maintenance in the dorms could do better.

Robert Smith A hub for much of required interactions with the college financial situations. There can be egregiously long waits during peak seasons but the website and physical staff provide a wealth of information. If you are prepared it is typically pretty painless.
