Sofii Soso I am ready to talk to whoever’s responsible about this! I am being taught about ethics in this university, about $200 each student pays a semester only to waste 15-20 minutes looking for parking and if a parking is found and a miracle happened about 50% chance of accident because of how small the parking is! Please this is not just a complaint this is to attract your attention that a problem is here and should be resolved!

M A I moved to Sacramento roughly 5 years ago. I off and on took breaks in college because of family life. As soon as we started moving, I enrolled in ARC. I had attended two different community colleges in my previous city and ARC was the absolute BEST of the 3 colleges. I was supported through my whole college journey, I had some outstanding professors that have truly impacted my college journey and I will miss dearly. They really do want their students to succeed. The biggest surprise for me was how many courses ARC offers, it was almost overwhelming at first. They also offer the opportunity for either certificates or a degree. I double majored and had the best experience in their New Legal Studies program. If you don’t believe me, take a look at their catalog. I’m truly grateful for my time at ARC. My success at ARC has now set me up for my next chapter at Sac State! #GoBeavers #Alumni

Yasya I love studying here!!! Everyone always willing to help, everything is accessible and easy. There are free books in library, lots of places to study inside or outside, water, very clean toilets with hygiene items. Im very grateful to workers who planted these extremely beautiful flowers we have in our college. I really love walking in parks, so I really enjoy walking around campuses You can choose good professors from ratemyprofessor website. All of them are really helpful in my nursing journey. I became an A grade student in this college and I have honors for good GPA College is accessible for me and now its free because of the FAFSA which they can help you apply to

The wizard Guy It was a really bad experience, I was a loyal staff member who worked in the college to provide various services. I got in to an incident where a guy tried attacking me and then attacked another person and made him bleed. I was recording for evidence and the staff told me to stop. But I feared and kept recording and they terminated me for just recording. And they didnt pay me for the services I provided. I feel so betrayed. Im probably not gonna ever come back or recommend anyone to this college.

Karif Lawrence The University Union Ballroom is a great venue to host events large or small. The best way to access this venue is to partner with the clubs and other on-campus organizations. The audio could use supplementing, but the visual projection is top-notch. The open floor plan means you can shape the setup to your programmatic content. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable about event planning success. I have been here for many events, and I look forward to them all. The issue is if the event is during the semester while classes are in session. You will search for parking like an archeologist. You will have to dig up the ruins or a lost parking lot.

Nelly Danny (Dargy) I had called to make a phone appointment with a counselor to get my IEP (Education Plan) in July. The earliest appointment was 3 weeks away. I wait 3 weeks for this appointment before I sign up for classes so that I know which classes to make sure I sign up for. Come today the day of the appointment, and Ive received no phone call from Counselor Michael Chappel. Im now on hold with the counseling office. I got no email saying this appointment was cancelled, I took off work for this appointment, and have received no call. What is the point of making an appointment? This has been a one-of-a-kind experience in professionalism. EDIT: After being on hold for an hour on the phone, it said they were experiencing too many callers, and to make an appointment on their website (ironic). and It hung up on me. My disappointment in CRC is immeasurable, and my day ruined.

Tyler Greene Called in to CRC campus for counseling phones kept ringing and ringing.. decided i was close enough to to go in. Got there not a single counselor in the building appointments booked the the rest of the month. Counselors work from home when asked where everyone was at. The thing about college is they just want to keep you paying for tuition with no real objective to complete the process and transfer. In my personal community college experience. Teachers are mostly aloof to anything but the curriculum they’ve been given that is mediocre at best to begin with. Counselors treat their jobs like a state job. Just a sad campus.

Richard K Good program! My son graduated here and learned so much - getting a job offer before he was even finished his degree. I have to admit I had no idea what to expect from a "technical skills college". The staff here has set a high bar in student attendance and grade expectations. Exactly what draws quality employers to their program. The team here is professional, skilled and the facility is incredibly well managed, state of the art and squeaky clean . The investment in equipment was expected but wow they have some high quality machinery, cars and diesel trucks. Im not in any way a mechanic but I let out a lot of audible "wows" during my tour. Im also impressed by their investment in the future of their students. Lots of financial and career services help available. Highly recommend

Jose Reyes One of the standout features of UTI is its commitment to student success. The instructors are knowledgeable, supportive, and passionate about their subjects, ensuring that students receive a high quality education. The facility is well equipped with the latest technology and tools. This gives students the opportunity to learn in a realistic environment. As well as for my exiting of the program the staff member Carmen really helped me a lot to pursue my career in the automotive industry. Overall this is a great school!

John Chervanev I had an exceptional dental cleaning experience with Mackenzie at Carrington College. She was extremely professional throughout the appointment, taking time to explain dental terminology and walking me through each step of the process. What impressed me most was how Mackenzie identified early tooth decay and provided practical advice to improve my cleaning routine. Her educational approach helped me understand exactly what changes I needed to make to get my teeth back in shape. The entire experience was both thorough and comfortable. I learned valuable information about dental hygiene that Ill definitely put into practice. I would highly recommend Mackenzie to anyone seeking professional dental care at Carrington College.

Jonnytsunami916 Destiny Great school, need better supplies for the science classes, though like chemistry and microbiology. But other than that, I had a great experience. It is really expensive to go to dental hygiene school, but I don’t mind because it’s the closest dental hygiene school to my house. And both of the Hygienist I work with, went to the school and I recommend it.

Sami The teachers are mean and passive aggressive. We were told by a TEACHER(Nicole Henry) that they cut skills from our skills sheet so that they dont have to do it. Which doesnt make any sense since we paid the school to practice and learn these skills. The teachers here do the bare minimum and do not care at all. The only teacher who did care and tried was Ms.Warfield. I also had a bad experience with my student rep and financial advisor. They would not answer any emails or texts. I had an issue with my financial aid and emailed them about and MONTHS went by and no answer. It wasnt until I went to the office and told them when they decided to fix it. Dont come to this school:)

Daniel Rivera This school is only worried about the money but doesnt care about the quality of education they give to their student. The director in this school doesnt care about any of the student or the faculty for that matter. The equipment is outdated, the clinical cannot be done because some of the faculty doesnt attend or the facility wont allow us to learn anything.they are really good at charging you and getting that money maybe if some of that effort went to give students a better education and the support they need the program would be better

Laurie Watkins I took the medical billing and coding program. My time as a student was mostly during the 2020 pandemic. The teachers I had over the course of 2 years were all very good teachers. The dean was very accommodating to my needs when I was diagnosed with cancer and had to take leave from my program. At the very end of my program, I had to unexpectedly temporarily become my mothers full time caregiver, and needed to take another leave from school. Being that it was the very end of my program and I only had one class left, which was a make up from my 1st leave of absence, the school basically pushed me out the door. They didn’t want me to take that last class which was a very necessary course to prepare me for state testing and for a career in the healthcare industry. Not only that, but they said I was considered a graduate of Campus. Even though I was one course short. I never have received my certificate, a diploma. Nothing. No phone call from their offices. Or career services. It’s almost like I never went to this school at all for 2 years. This school cares about their ratings and their stats and their money above anything else. They don’t care about the students. They want to push you out the door as fast as they can. Like sheep. The only proof that I was a student here that I have, is the $10K student loan I’m still paying on in 2024 and for the foreseeable future. I should note I maintained a steady 3.8 GPA throughout my time here. Now I find out that I could’ve taken the exact same program for FREE at the community college by my house. Absolutely a waste of $10K. And a whole lot of waste of time. Consider your options before going to this school.

Titus Tinch The staff is very helpful from enrolling to making sure you have everything you need for class. MTI has some of the best teachers around! Every teacher I’ve had so far has been super helpful and understanding and go above and beyond to explain every step of the way so you don’t feel lost. They’re very hands on and invested in every student’s success. When I first came in I felt overwhelmed as to how things would be like but they were all very reassuring. As long as you come to class and pay attention and ask questions there’s no way you can fail!

Leo Adame Zero Stars — Great Instructor, But the Program Is a Mess While the course instructor did a great job with the material (especially for a fully online course), everything else about the Gurnick DXA program was incredibly frustrating. The amount of back-and-forth just to complete the program was exhausting — constant miscommunication, unclear expectations, and a total lack of coordination between departments. It felt like I had to fight for every step just to move forward. From trying to schedule clinical hours to getting basic questions answered, the process was chaotic and stressful. Emails went unanswered, timelines were inconsistent, and it often felt like no one knew what was going on. For a program that’s supposed to be training professionals in a technical medical field, the lack of structure and support was honestly shocking. The only thing that kept this from being a total waste of time was the instructor’s effort to make the material understandable and engaging. But even a solid instructor can’t make up for a program this poorly run. I wouldn’t recommend Gurnick’s DXA certification to anyone unless they’re ready to constantly chase down answers and advocate for themselves every step of the way.

Boneh G This is the worst LVN program in Sacramento. The problems started during the admissions process when Naomi Hough gave me the wrong information on what time the PM classes start. Telling me they start at 5:30p, instead of 5pm. I work 8-5, so working full time became virtually impossible. & when asking the school for a little help or leeway for the time, they stated they could not. Yet your instructors are showing up late to teach us everyday? So it’s okay that they have work and lives and can come to school 30-45 minutes after class starts, but the students can’t be 1 minute late. Problems continued to get worse through the program, as the school is extremely disorganized. I have had several different instructors through this course, because they can’t seem to keep staff. Everyone either quits within a few weeks or gets fired. They are more concerned about our uniforms than actually teaching us. I’ve had to do the same lesson over & over during clinical days because they have no actual instructions or teaching plan. Most of the time we sit for HOURS doing absolutely nothing just so they can keep us there for time. The new clinical director Mrs Ebony has no idea what she’s doing. The campus director Ms Gena could literally care less about the students. & other staff have told students about how faculty sits in meetings and says the most disgusting things about the students. The only person who might SLIGHTLY care about you is Ms. Tabitha. But that depends on what mood she’s in for the day. Anybody who will listen, has been told that they should not come to this school. You’re better off at another LVN program in Sacramento, as this school simply will not prepare you to become a nurse. Save your time, money and sanity.

michaela Kremer Im a current ultrasound program student and I am so happy I made the choice to attend Gurnick. We get so much scan time and I felt confident when starting my clinical rotations. I feel like we are held to a high standard by our instructors and they work hard to give us all the opportunities and guidance we need to meet those standards and it shows by the great feedback and comments regarding my scanning and knowledge I get from the sonographers I have worked with on my clinical rotations. Jorge and Monica are absolutely amazing and make the best team for student success in education.

There are many opportunities for students to grow in their calling both within the classroom and with other students. The chapels are a space to seek the presence of God, worship, fellowship, and hear the Word of God preached. I honestly believe in this school, the presence of God is evident here. So thankful.

E/N K Everyone who works for this school is hilariously incompetent. I tried to take Spanish 2 this summer, but they said I needed a higher grade from Spanish 1. I was told to take the placement exam. Not only did the counselors take a full week to respond to me, when I couldnt run their software on my computer I asked them for help while they continued to ignore me for two weeks. My professor reached out to me, so she reached out to these incompetent individuals, and the councilor lied and said she reached out to me. To add insult to injury, when I once again told them that their software program was not working, they told me to use a different computer (as if I have that lying around) so I was dropped from the class. Then I tried to get a refund, but their application was not working, and when I called I was put on hold. Utterally incompetent on every level.

Surena FS I enjoy the convenience of there being 4 different community colleges in the Los Rios CC district that you can attend from as far as Rio Linda all the way down to Elk Grove. BUT there is a big flaw is in their academic program requirements in prerequisite course grade requirements. Most programs, especially those pertaining to the medical field, require a B grade (NOT a B average) in required science courses, specifically Anatomy & Physiology. So, even if a student receives a C in these courses, they are unable to retake them immediately. Petitions are rarely pushed for approval in these circumstances because technically the students did pass, they just did not receive the grade that is required to get into their desired programs. Students who receive a C either have to take the course outside of Los Rios, purposefully drop the course, purposefully get a D grade, or, if theyre lucky, get their petitions approved. It was already made obvious that this is so the schools in the district dont lose out on money from students retaking already passed (C) classes. Huge flaw.

M Marie Im writing on my personal observation that Los Rios College has illegally discriminated against Student, Robert Rincon and students with medical excemptions alike. Robert Rincon has been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 and has a legal medical exemption for not wearing face coverings, per the Federal and State law protected by the ADA law. Robert Rincon has a Medical excemption from wearing face coverings signed by his Doctor due to his unique medical condition of having drop down seizures. He can not medically wear a mask due to his seizures. This college is on notice to comply with Federal and State guidelines to allow in person learning for Robert Rincon, and all Students with legal medical exemptions. Robert has a huge following on social media, and many advocates willing to stand up and protect his rights to attend in person learning. Its a violation of the law to discriminate against students with disabilities. Robert Rincon should be immediately reinstated to in person learning immediately per the law! Robert and people with disabilities have a right to a in person learning environment free from prejudice, harassment, and discrimination per the Civil Rights Act, ADA, Federal and State Law.

Kirstie Tully I want to write this to inform new students coming in about the location. This is a decent area - not the best, but I feel safe walking with friends. There is free street parking that a lot of my peers use with ease. There are also paid parking lots through the school and it is easy to find a spot. The campus is small, so it takes 5 minutes to walk around campus. There is also Public Safety (I think is the name), that is the campuss security. I frequently see them making sure the campus is safe and they also offer free walk services for late nights on campus.

Bernadette Manalo My daughter went to this school for Doctorate in Occupational Therapy as being a new program for this institution. Instead of taking of their students as pioneers for this program , the clinical coordinators keep on being a new one frequently and whoever is there to be of help with regards to their clinical rotations is useless. My daughter encountered a problem with her first rotation and was made to do a make up in another facility just like the first one. And in the place where she is doing her make up it so happened the preceptor went too personal regarding her life. So whatever dialogue transpired between the new clinical coordinator and the new preceptor, is it right to tell ny daughter to repeat the 12 months rotation again. Are these people serious or probably legal matters should be served.
