Jessica I worked with Mr. Dunn through Upward Path for over a year for senior college applications. I am always amazed by how knowledgeable Mr. Dunn is on all sorts of colleges. He really knows how to tailor the college counseling experience to each individual students, and he wholeheartedly understands every single students situations. Mr. Dunn is very encouraging, and he never puts you down even if you attempt to ED/REA into a school that is very, very unlikely (I tried REA Stanford; I didnt get in). Mr. Dunn always makes time to edit my essays/meet with me no matter how busy is. Overall, Mr. Dunn is a stellar college counselor, and I 100% recommend him!

Michael Shim We utilized Upward Path to help my twin daughters navigate the competitive college application process. There was a local college admissions counselor they met with frequently (online) and a separate common application essay writing coach who was very helpful. In the end, their advice and support was invaluable. I would say the overarching advice I would give to parents entering this process is to encourage your kids to take as many AP classes as they can reasonably accomodate, because GPA in the end is probably the biggest initial screening factor that colleges seem to be using, though they will all tell you they take a "holistic" approach to admissions.

Key is to get started early (sophomore) and then UPI is very flexible when it comes to various programs and counselors that it offers. They also do an excellent job keeping the parents up to date of the childs progress! Strongly recommended!

Sean Andre Originating from Europe, I pursued my studies there before relocating to the United States. The American educational system presented distinct challenges, necessitating a period of adjustment. I am so glad I chose Sofia University as my destination. The university community is characterized by warmth and willingness to assist, and all faculty members actively engage in community projects, providing support and guidance to individuals. Their expertise stems from their personal experiences, as they embody the knowledge they impart. In contrast, during my time in Europe, I encountered only one university professor who exhibited such a caring demeanor. The rest resided in an intellectual utopia surrounded by books, disconnected from reality. In Sofia University, I was astounded when one teacher shared her involvement in volunteer work in women’s prisons, writing a book about children, and having her own family. This individual embodies the qualities I aspire to emulate and learn from.

Heather Schwenn I was blessed to attend the residential doctorate program from 2006 to 2014. I would have to say, without a doubt, these were the best days of my life (so far). This program and school are truly special. The immersive and experiential aspects of this program not only prepared me for my professional development, but provided a solid foundation in helping me start the process of coming home to myself. The classes and instructors were excellent and the journey wouldn’t have been nearly as fun as the companionship of the cohort I was a part of. Thank you Robert and James for the amazing institution you created!

J Sol Ramirez My Sofia MATP experience has significantly empowered my evolution as a person and transpersonalist. A degree for my soul, which has been enabling me to support brethren in connecting to theirs. I loved the once a year in person seminars, the heart centered wise faculty, the golden nuggets of wisdom and practices the courses offered, and an embodied spirituality has has emerged and a much more intimate connection to the natural world. I am blessed to now be in 2 quarters into the MACP program and what has stood out is the space for being a well rounded person it opens up through things like creative arts and dynamic in person experientials during the seminar and the heart centered rigor of the faculty.

Everyone of their staff is warm, affable and friendly and are patient with us in terms of our growth and personal development. They are exceptional at what they do. Mary Williams This is an affordable program that was able to prepare me for a career as a marriage family therapist. The quality of instruction is excellent, and I rely on the skills and concepts I practiced and learned here in my vocation.

Janelle Stepper I had a wonderful experience at Palo Alto University. I feel well equipped and prepared to continue my journey as a Marriage and Family Therapist. While a couple of the professors I had were not outstanding, for the most part the staff was wonderful and incredible compassionate. A few professors I highly recommend taking courses from at the graduate level are Aaron Henderson, William Snow, Christen Wathen, Rochelle Ritzi, Donna Sheperis, Dareen Basma, Maryasha Katz, and Donya Wallace. Having an entirely online graduate course was essential to me because I have a busy schedule and needed a program that was flexible and accommodating. I feel proud to be a soon-to-be PAU alumni and love being affiliated with a school that promotes social justice, equality, and diversity.
