Amanda Nagy While vacationing on SGI, my daughter started having difficulty breathing so we took her to this ER. I felt that all staff was friendly and compassionate and took good care of our girl. The building is a bit dated, but everything was clean. Hopefully we never have to return, though if we do, I know we will be in good hands.

Betsy Penot Went to er with severe back pain ongoing for two weeks with numbness in toes. Dr walked in said stand on toes, on heels, raise each leg ( which barely could do) said I didn’t have pinched nerve; it was just muscle. Prescribed cream for pain and walked out. No tests or X-rays or any films. Just in room less than 5 min. Went to other medical where they xrayed and listened as I described symptoms. They seemed concerned about numbness in toes. X-rays showed scoliosis, narrowing of lumbar discs where it would be pinching on nerve. Do not go to Weems Hospital!! Worst dr experience of my life!!

C Allen I was misdiagnosed with a foot sprain when I broke 6 bones and tore my lisfranc ligament. The NP who saw me didn’t put her DEA number on the prescription so I couldn’t fill my pain meds. I was billed for a splint that was never applied. And they did not bill my insurance until 8 months after my visit even though I gave them insurance info at least 3x. It was pretty clean and my nurse was nice though.

Jennifer Woolf Went in on May 22 with my one year old son he wouldnt stand on his right leg after twisting his foot coming down the slide. We arrived and the radiologist took x-rays and we waited for the dr to come in to see my son afterwards. The dr came in told me the x-rays was fine that it was just a sprain, I asked if there is anything we can do for a sprain ankle he said no and walked out, no interaction at all with my son didnt look to see if it was bruised, swollen or anything. During the week my son still would not put any pressure on his leg/foot so I took my son to Port St.Joes hospital and the dr there came in looked at my son had an x-ray done and seen his tibal shaft had fractured!! Im very disappointed in Weems Dr. Ward! I will never set foot in Weems again this seems to be one of the worst hospitals in North Florida and the Agency for Health Care Administration needs to look into all these complaints!

Jane Dominy If you have no other option than the Weems emergency room, I highly recommend you perform an internet search to double check the diagnosis and treatment! I went to Weems ER in 2023 for an infected eye. Dr. Patrick Conrad diagnosed me with a Corneal Ulcer, however; he treated me for a Corneal Abrasion. Unfortunately I trusted his care and did not check his treatment against standard care by reputable medical facilities. A week later my eye was no better and I went to another urgent care center where I was informed a Corneal Ulcer is an Ophthalmologic Emergency and I needed to see an Ophthalmologist ASAP. The ER doctor stated not only could I lose my vision but I could lose my eye! Long story short, after 10 months of seeing numerous eye specialist, I found out that Dr. Conrad prescribed an eye drop for pain which caused corneal melt (ate away my cornea), did not correctly prescribe the antibiotic dosage and never informed me to see an ophthalmologist. Because of the treatment at Weems Memorial hospital I now have permanent eye damage! If only I had googled the Cleveland Clinic (or other reputable medical website) I would have known that I had been mistreated and would have gone to an Ophthalmologist and would still have my vision!
