Hannah Groff Schwartz Anilay did such an amazing job on my nails! I have never had my nails done so meticulously but also gently as I have sensitive skin. She was so sweet and bubbly and my nails look fantastic. I will definitely be paying her another visit

Nikki Bottoms The worst experience. The salon has nail polishes all over with no real organization. A shelf sitting right in front of two water fountains? Then I ask for a soak off and full set. As my fingers are wrapped in acetone a woman walks in and says she has a 1pm appt. The man up front looks around and tells her to wait “15 minutes”. The woman complained rightfully so that she made an appt and couldn’t wait. This man stops working with me and leaves me sitting there to take her. He tells me to wait another 10. I assured him I’m also on a schedule and he took me when I came in so his scheduling problem isn’t my issue. 15 minutes went by and my fingers are still in acetone with no sign someone is remotely ready to take over what he started. I asked how much longer and he said 10 more minutes. At that point I had to ask him to remove the acetone off my hands because it had been well over 20 minutes and my nails were going to get damaged. He ripped it off and didn’t ask ne to wash my hands or file them. On top of it all, he walks over to one of the manicurist gets right next to her and tells her to hurry up!! While that poor woman was working on another client. He was telling her to rush because he messed up. So incredibly demeaning!I had to walk over to wash them and simply left. My nails look destroyed!

Valeria Marrero I love coming here but I only come to see Naila , she’s never failed me! She creates beautiful sets and is exceptional at freestyle designs. Sometimes my schedule gets so busy that I can’t come within a few weeks but I’ve had my nails last up to 7 weeks without coming off! The second picture is 6 weeks !

MaKyla Clemmons First off, I’ve been coming to this location for a few years. From when they were in the new Chase building to the new building in the next plaza over. Anilay did my nails for the first time last week. And this was the longest I have ever sat to get a fill in with gel, over 1.5hrs. I had to come back 3 days later because the gel on my left thumb started peeling and I have never had this happen before. So I went back to have the nail fixed and it was fine. Now, almost 3-4 days after that my entire left hand started to peel, the gel was coming off. I don’t know if the gel was old or what. But I am very upset, and it’s really embarrassing. I would not be going back and this where I have been going for years !!!!

Megan Magdziarz I started seeing Tom this year after being recommended to him over 3 years ago. He has consistently provided me with the best nails I’ve had in Tampa Bay (been here for 8 years). He is INCREDIBLE at designs and shape. I get long stiletto and am very particular about their look. They last 3+ weeks without break, tear, or dullness. The salon itself is clean and always has a variety of relaxing music.

Jordan Kleinhans Jay has done some of the best nails I’ve had since I moved from Las Vegas. The first set was a picture taken after a week 1/2 of being on and they are still solid. Show him a picture of what you want and he will deliver! Prices are very reasonable considering the time he takes to design. My favorite thing about his work is that he gets the shape down perfectly. I hate when you look at the set a few days later and realize one nail looks crazy, but that doesn’t happen with Jay. The salon he works out of here isn’t the prettiest …and it’s further from my house but his work is the best I’ve had so far so it’s worth the drive for me.

Isabella Rozo I had an appointment with Tom at 9am. He told me he was going to be 15 minutes late and ended up being 40 minutes late to our appointment. He also continuously kept asking me to reschedule because it seemed like I was “in a rush”. He did a decent job on my nails but because of how late he was and because he wasn’t honest from the start I will never go back.

kathrine lol the nails came out beautifully, i had come here once before and gotten a plain nude med-long set for $60, which was incredibly reasonable. however, the second time i came in for a fill it was the same $60 price JUST FOR A FILL and i was only in there for about 35 min... if i had known it would’ve been the same price i would’ve gotten a whole new set :/ kinda disappointed… probably won’t be returning

lanea My daughters and I went in there yesterday and they did a good job on both of there nails. The lady who did my pedicure did an awesome job message them and design them . I felt good leaving their business.

The Mahogany Roads DO NOT GO HERE AND DEFINITELY DO NOT GO TO THE OLDER LADY HERE!! I went here for a manicure and pedicure and the older lady there was extremely ruff, yanking and pulling my feet in and out of the tub, digging the skin on my toes, butchered my cuticles and she was just ridiculously ruff and, get this, She cut skin off of tips of my toes, YES, SHE CUT THE SKIN. My feet are butchered. She then proceeded to butcher my fingers. She cut the skin off of the tips of my fingers and when I told her to stop she pulled my hand and said no its OK.... what.?.?.? she then attempted to try to file my skin... she butchered my cuticles. I should have asked to see her license because she horrible. I cannot say it loud enough, DO NOT GO HERE!

Dana Caldwell Charge me $25 for a color change/ design ($6-$8)and filed the nails down too thin and didnt fix the broken nails .....not to mention that a full set is the same price.... Im never going back

Latashia Hayes The place was very relaxing, clean, laid back, and the service was in a timely manner. My kids love it also, especially the hot rocks and the parafin wax on your feet. I would recommend this Spa to everyone..Even when the customers that I meet and sit next to, I tell them the good things about it, if its their first time there and the staff are great!

NeonPastelGal Great customer service. I got a cute mint and glitter set done here. Everything in the salon was clean and the people there are very nice. I will definitely be going back again.

Jenni Garcia Would give zero stars if it was an option. STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY. The lady who did my nails was SO rude. It felt like I was an inconvenience to her for wanting to get a BASIC MANICURE with regular polish. She slapped my hands multiple times, made me bleed on 3 separate fingers and don’t even get me started on the polish. The polish applied would’ve been done better by my 9 year old daughter. To top it all off she left me in the salon to dry for god knows how long and just walked out to go smoke. Just skip this place

Lexx H TERRIBLE SERVICE! Owner with short bob is extremely RUDE. Constantly leaves for smoke breaks.. pulls my feet out of the water by grabbing my big toe only. She coughed on my feet multiple times! She argued with me because I informed her that she’s coughing all over my feet. She later apologized and said that it isn’t a sick cough, it’s because she smokes cigarettes! She watched videos on her phone while servicing me. My overall experience here was horrible.

Kim Avila 45 for this she literally just out acrylic over my short nails let’s not talk about how rude and unprofessional she was she also takes like three smokes breaks and smells like straight cigarettes she was going to charge me and extra 5 bucks for a color and let’s not talk about how she made me bleed if I could give a zero star I would save yourself not worth it******** 30 minutes later acrylic is coming off I’m so mad please save your time !!!! If you see this don’t do it you are dodging a bullet do not come here unprofessional and bad quality super rude !!!

Picklemans Cafe Lady is rude, I saw a roach. She kept hurting me after I told her she was hurting me. Then when it was finished the pain job was very messy. Pain on my skin even after I left, the filing was uneven on my toes. Bad experience over all.

miranda pettermon This is by far the worse nail experience I have had in Tampa! I went in wanting my nails taken offf and redone! She literally tried to fill my nails with a different nude color than the acrylic I HAD, that I wanted off! Then painted over them with gel polish and a pedicure that literally still hurts today the day after. Annie! She sits in the front. Very unprofessional. And not for nothing the 4 smoke breaks, and whatever was on that “Starbucks” cup smelled hella strong! I do not recommend going here for anything!!

The Reptile Bunch My first time here, but my family has frequented this shop for years. I had already left city nails because they closed earlier then advertised. When I and my niece came in customers were already being attended to and the shop did not appear busy. After being told to sit at the pedicure stations we waited four pedicures later to finally get service. My issue is that Sunday’s shops close early so letting us know there was a wait would have been helpful the customers that were already being attended to hadn’t even received their pedicure’s. We could have made it to another shop in time. Im big on customer service and today was not it.

Olivia Peel At first i wanted to give a low rating for my issues but i waited. I am glad i did because now they get the rating they deserve. So I came In on 2/25/23 to get a manicure and a pedicure. I did the basic French tip on both. I then wanted a design on my big toes and ring fingers. The nail tech said no no you need diamonds I said ok I trust you know what your talking about. So she did a wonderful job they were beautiful. But I made it home and within an hour and a nap later I woke up to all my diamonds off one finger, 2 off the other finger and a couple off each toe. I came in the next morning to see why this was happening and they fix the issue with no problem. I was very satisfied. I didnt do the diamonds again I stuck with my first choice and got the design I wanted. I will come back in a few weeks to get a touch up. Great job ladys you have a custom that will continue to come back. They listen and fixed the issues and for that I Ive them a 5star rating.

Sunji Monae Horrible Attitude/Customer Service/NAIL SET Do yourself a Favor and keep looking for another nail shop. We cannot let people own a business in the community and treat the very same community like ish. We as people should expect more. I believe If you dont deliver the product as expected, you fix it or forfeit payment. You look silly Arguing with the customer.

Dan Brandt This place is terrific. Some of the clientele is a little shady, but the employees are great and do a beautiful job.

Lashon Baisden I came in for my birthday to get my feet done which my boyfriend recommended this place. To sit was very fast, but honestly not worth it. I knew I should have left when I seen the cart and the used tools not cleaned or maybe cleaned but needed to be changed out. I asked for acrylic on my big toe, which I always get so I know that you’re supposed to get your pedicure first THEN the acrylic added after the toes are clean. I mentioned to the one who did the acrylic that I would like my toe cleaned first, I guess they don’t speak english because she kept going. Expressed to her that the acrylic was too long, too thick and they were not even and were also crooked. I have a big toe that goes slightly to the side but this has never been an issue with my other nail salon off of Bearss, it always comes out straight. She continued to go, saying when she file it will even out…it did not. It was still crooked, square as hell, long as hell and ugly. The lady who actually did my nails was horrible at painting, I could’ve had my 6 year old niece do a better job. All in all, I will not return. I tipped because I am grateful but will not recommend coming here to get your nails done.

Kendy Martinez Went here because a friend said AJ’s Nails was good. Had an appointment scheduled with whoever was available. Show up to my appointment 15 minutes early and I’m told to “Go Away” because everyone is gone. I don’t think I would be going back, hopefully not everyone has the same experience.

Danielle Rodriguez Nice experience at AJs. Vicki the nail tech worked on me. She did exactly like I wanted on my nails and feet. Full transparency with pricing. She was sweet and very attentive. I was a walk-in no appointment and she attended me right away. However it was 9:30am and only a few customers already there. Would come back again.

Nakita Straw They do look down racially on some Black people, and then have the nerve to change up there language and be talking bad about you in your face to another tech in there language, you can tell by the facial expression while doing your nails, especially AJ.. I went there for 1 toenail repair on just 1 foot and A j gon make the nail really skinny which did not match how my big toe which was done wide was.. and just gonna leave and have someone else to polish it, and tell me I owe.

Ali Blu I have been getting my nails done for over 20yrs and even though Ive had other nail salons do not so good work I would say this is one of the worst. I sat down and initially thought that I should go to my regular place but with me moving and my normal place being over 45min away I decided to try and find a salon near me. I took the leap was driving by and said to myself that I would stop. At first when he furnished taking my polish off there was still polish there but I know that usually what they cant get off with the remover that the portable file ( the thing that looks like a drill) will get it off. He started to put the acrylic on over the polish he didnt remove. And Im not talking about the polish residue im talking about actual polish.... after putting the acrylic on he used the portable drill in the nails but never smoothed the nil down. I didnt say anything because I just thought that by the time getting my feet done it should be dry. As I am sitting in the chair getting my feet done im look at my nails and it looks like little bubbles and streaks in the paint. So I told the guy that they look messy and first thing he said was I must have touched something Now I am never gonna say that I have never accidentally touched something while my nails where still drying buy Ive always owned up if I did. I told the guy that I never touched anything and that he did smooth the nail. He also used a clear coat that was very clumpy. I told he that and he repainted my nail and it came out the same way. When I asked for the manager just to show the work this guy was giving customers he said no manager was there.

Angela D On October 4th, 2023.. I came to Tampa on vacation with a couple friends, we decided we wanted to get our nails done together before our event we were going to the next day. We tried to find a place that was close to our hotel since we had to Uber there. I picked Aj’s nail spa because it was close and had better reviews than the other 2 in the area. The service I got at this salon was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I understand that usually you should make an appointment, but I did call ahead and ask if they had time for 3 walk ins and they said yes. Also online it says they close at 7:30pm.. but they told me they close at 5:30pm, so we had to rush to get over there. Once we got there, we got seen pretty quickly.. I had to wait a little bit, no big deal. Then one lady started working on my nails and I told her what I wanted. Short coffin style black acrylics with some rhinestones and a moon on the ring finger. So she started working on my nails and put the tips on and the black acrylic powder.. then sends me over to get my feet done and she starts working on someone else. The lady who was working on my feet didn’t even bother asking what kind of pedicure I wanted and just did a basic pedicure rushing through it the entire time. After she finished my feet, the same lady started to finish my nails and I had to explain what I wanted again.. she was really rushing through it, just as the first lady did too, leaving glue stuck under my nails and powder all over my hands.. they looked so messy.. usually at some point they ask you to wash your hands.. they did not do that at all. When the second lady was finishing my nails, the rhinestones were crooked and she couldn’t even paint a crescent moon so she just ended up using a moon shaped gem. And there was little bubbles in the polish as well. After she was done she put oil on my hands and my hands felt so gross covered in oil and powder and I had to wash my hands before I left. I didn’t say anything at the salon because we didn’t have time to get them redone and I figured no one will be looking that closely at them anyway since we were going to a goth music festival, so it would be dark in there anyway… but I still have to look at them! Thankfully I will never have to go back to this salon again since I live in another state. I think my friends had a slightly better experience than I did… but I was really upset after we left and I still left a tip and paid $100 for nails I was not happy with. Next time I will make sure I get my nails done BEFORE I go on vacation. I just took these photos, even though I got my nails done a couple weeks ago.. you can still see how crooked the stones are…

Evy E The WORST PLACE TO COME TO!!! From the edges the nail polish and they have no care in COVID REGULATION!!!! They have no sense of what nails are about and design !!! Horrible place I drove an hour away because of a person telling me about this place being good and I am horrified of the experience they have no fear of protection or disinfecting anything I had to get up and just pray that I didn’t catch anything from this place!!! Terrible place and experience!!! They are lucky I have to put a star to post my review but they don’t deserve even that!!!!!

Lashawn Williams The polish and nails looks like I did them. All older people . Polish wearing off , chipping off, the side of the nail not polished. The nail are crooked..they have dens in the nails. And they take too long to do your nails. I went in at 11:50 a.m. for a fill in and pedicure, I left at 2:30 p.m

Chi Davis Went in early when place opened few workers already in pedi chairs shoes on lounging in chairs I asked for service received bring to chair bassin filled with water an began pedicure was not what I expected kept forgetting spray her tools b4 use I desperately looked for another shop in area all shops wasnt opened yet then noticed so many files an double dipping of wax sticks RUN away

Baynham Windy (Sister Windy) Ive been going there for 5 years I have repeatedly got disrespected so I havent been back there in like a year and a half but I finally went back because I started my podcast and I needed a quick fix on my nails it was the worst experience I ever had going there. I got a new Sues chair shes one of the best technicians there. She stopped her process of doing my nails because of her appointment came late so she made me get out of her chair and set me down to another technician that his hands was all shaky. Its Friday that Miss Sue asked another woman to do my nails but she refused to do them because when I came in I asked specifically for MSU I miss you agreed to take me so she took it personal and got offended even though they were speaking in Japanese I know what day was talking about. It made me feel very uncomfortable now Miss Sue has me getting rejected by one technician then the other technician is talking major crime while hes doing my nails and hes doing a terrible job. The job was so terrible on my nails I was getting upset he told me not to get upset because he was doing me a favor thats when I snapped in the nail shop.I told him no one is doing me a favor when Im paying my money to get things done put on tell me that youre doing me a favor when Im paying you. If you didnt want to do my nails thats all you had to do was say so I could have went to another nail shop. The feeling that atmosphere and there was ridiculous after he finished my nails I could not let them finish drying they looked horrible. I told the man in charge the one that takes the money and grease the people when you come in I showed them the process of my nails he immediately took the nail polish off my nails and told the technician to come look at my hands he took a picture before he took the polish off and told him it was horrible he redid my nails. He put gel polish on my nails as a peace offering but he left nail polish all around my fingernails and my hands it was just a horrible experience and then he still had a nerve to ask for the tip. After I got all the fingernail polish from around my fingers and my hands I was ready for my show. But I told them I would never come back there again and I will never go back again

Celia Kaufman This is the worst salon I have ever been too, and the worst set of nails I have ever received. Look at the pictures!!! There’s polish all over my hands now. I was left in the shop alone for my nails to dry after they closed. The guy also made me dip my fingers in hot wax without asking, and got wax all over my watch. The shape is messy and my nails literally look like claws, and the polish is just horrible, not even close to decent. And they’re lifting before i leave the salon. They’re bumpy and uneven. The one guy left at the stole refused to fix it. They have no idea what they’re doing, and they’ll make you pay before your nails are finished. I will be reaching out for a complete refund

Jasmine Voorhees Great price! Great quality! Very knowledgeable, talented, and detail-oriented nail techs. Clean environment. Everyone working there was very nice and friendly. I will definitely be returning! By far the BEST manicure and pedicure Ive ever had. My feet are incredibly soft.

Rebecca Chesbrough I went in with long almond nails and asked for short due to work and lets just say I paid but will have to find a different place because the paint is clumpy looking but she did great with my eyebrows. They almost overcharged me and when I was trying to explain how the guy kept yelling at me and finally said we even. I wont go back here again. I also asked for my cuticles to get done and they arent. Very disappointed.

Tiana Smith Amy saved my day! In a last minute attempt to get a mani/pedi during the hurricane, this spa was the only one open in the city! I got a dip manicure and gel pedicure. The only reason im rating 4 stars is because of the uncertainty with prices left us a little confused.

Lindsey Willis I visited this salon on 11/8/24 because it was next to Publix, I went in for a pedicure and fill spending 100$ before tip you would think my nails would be on point. NOPE the color on my toes and nails are very inconsistent and looks like my toddler painted them, also my gel top coat is already coming off my nails after 3 days. Also the acrylic was not removed from my cuticles. Although the man who did them was super nice and the massage was nice, this is by far one of the worst pedicure and fills I’ve ever had and theses were suppose to be my birthday nails. I definitely won’t be coming back.

Always Pixi Wish I’ve read the reviews first , I only went to this place out convenience and i definitely won’t be back . I only wanted a pedicure and acrylic on my big toes . It was a language barrier but she understood that I wanted pink gel. She came back with pink acrylic and proceeded to do my big toes .So frustrating. She was nice but it definitely not what I wanted . $60 and no pedicure .
