Traycee Hodges I had no problems here.. The Dr listened to me when I told him I felt like I had another kidney ston . After an ultrasound I was correct.. The female Dr was very nice and did everything she could do to keep me comfortable.. The RN was great when she was drawing blood.. To me, it was a very comfortable feeling.

Toni C. I would only go to this hospital if I was very mildly sick and needing something simple like antibiotics or pain meds. If you are having a real emergency or a complicated issue, I would find your way to a bigger hospital more equipped to help you. The unprofessionalism at this hospital was hard to deal with. Also, even though I have great veins, they took 3 tries to get an IV in my arm, and when they finally did I resulted in this lovely bruise you see pictured. Ive never, ever had such a horrible experience at a hospital. I felt like I was in a 3rd world country. Its dirty too. At least you get one on one care? As if the incompetency of the nurses and doctors could make up for that...

Vicki good Pour patient services and instead of helping my wife with covid info because are son was already diagnosed with covid through Shands and was told to go get evaluated and when she got to lake butler was told rudely that yall dont do the covid test and that she shouldnt be out any where. Everything my wife told to that lady was wrong to her and all she said was yep she had covid with out giving any tests and was very rude. I will be out to get her and make sure she wont treat and more patients with that very rude attitude I will be calling back tomorrow and if yall cant find better health care service then that then she needs new profession I am also writing the congressman to make them aware of poor health care:workers. Tiffany Gaskins Don’t do it. Showed up here because the ER is close to home and I had been suffering HORRIBLE headaches and neck pain plus fever and vomiting for over a week. I just had strep back to back and I knew something wasnt right. Came in and after waiting FOREVER in a populated room(nobody put my by myself for my symptoms so who knows who has the illness now) they took me back. Right away he said it was DEFINITELY A SINUS HEADACHE before even looking me over. I told him its not, i have had thise and migraines before and tylenol EASILY fixes them. So I asked for a CT of my head(somce all they do is advertise about the new ct scanner) and blood work. Thats it! I had already been taken tylenol and ibuprofen with no relief(I cant do pain meds cause they mess my stomach up and will puke everywhere) needless to say he said no because of the “radiation” which is also due to LAZINESS, and didnt want to do any bloodwork, JUST AND IV AND MEDS. No thanks.
After getting really upset I asked for my “AMA” papers and thank god instead of brushing it off for a sinus headache and going home I came to Shands in Gainesville at UF. BEST THING I HAVE EVER DID. They IMMEDIATELY put me in my room by myself and gave me a mask to protect others. They did bloodwork and found the my white blood cell count levels were very high, after this they did a spinal tap and confirmed I had meningitis. If I would have listened to them, I would be VERY SICK. The doctors here said if I would have brushed it off for a little longer, if be dead. Please choose wisely.
