Wendy Blakeney Genesis is the best! She’s so sweet and has done an amazing job on my hair the last few months. I’m so glad that I found her, and I will definitely be a loyal customer while I am here in Okeechobee for work. The salon is beautiful and everyone is so nice!

VIRGINIA Savely I usually don’t do reviews but this was the worst experience I’ve ever had getting my hair done . $50 deposit? Which is supposed to be deducted from your final charges. I went in for foil highlights & med shag cut, the girl said I needed highlights & lowlights I said yes. Nothing was near her station, not even a hair clip. She had to go get things several times. 2.5 hrs later before I even see it she says can you come back tomorrow afternoon? (It’s too dark.) yes it was, the roots were blended but no highlights at all & we haven’t cut it yet. I was charged 224.00 I was told it would be 180 & I thought the deposit would come out of that. Next day, she says ( I think I can lighten it by washing it with something) that didn’t work. 2hrs later I had to remind her that she hadn’t cut it yet. What I got is not layered at all & my hair is fried. After being there 2 days in a row, not one of the other girls looked at my hair or even talked to me. The young lady said her sister was co-owner. So, $274.00 They did not deduct the deposit!!! I would definitely NOT recommend this place.

Terriea Pethybridge BE-WARE. I went to get my hair colored gray with highlights. After being told that she could do that . My hair came out reddish blonde. She said I would have to come back and do it again. I couldn’t make the appointment and was charged 72$ on card for not showing. I was not informed of this . There is a sign in the shop but I didn’t see it.

Gina Mazzilli If you are looking for a hair or makeup artist for a wedding or any special event, look no further. Genesis, Hannah and Macy are all amazing. They did hair and make up for 10 of us for my wedding and I cannot say enough wonderful things about all of them. They have a lifelong client in me!

Luisa Contreras Macy is beyond amazing! This was my first time at Avenue salon and I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a new hair stylist. Macy was so nice and welcoming and she did an absolutely wonderful job on my hair. ❤️

Angela Magee Worst hair color I have had in my entire life. Do not go to the salon. Very unprofessional. My hair was orange and yellow when I left after 3 attempts to make it right. $600.00 dollars later and I finally found someone who could correct it. The salon is just unbelievably horrific. I did not say you charged 600.00. It took that amount of money to get it corrected. I Will not remove my review. What you did to my hair was unbelievable. I Hope you educate yourself in the future, and this will not happen again. The owner does not know about color, unless you want your hair blue, purple, pink, etc. I went to the wrong salon for my needs.

W. Sullivan I bring my Momma here to see Kelly once a month. Kelly is by far the best hair stylist in Okeechobee County. Her prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is friendly and inviting. I recommend this salon to men and women who want a good quality haircut by a licensed stylist who knows her stuff. Give them a call and make an appointment today and see for yourself.

Bonnie Brown Been going to Color ME Crazy for several years.. Christy... always listens to what I want. Does Her best to do exactly what I suggested.. Very friendly atmosphere...very clean shop. Love it there.

Fabreze I don’t usually leave reviews, but after trying this place, I had to leave one. Never been to a barbershop where they get it right the first try. Tony needs a raise, cause he knows what he’s doing!

Marisol Olvera Best shop in town. Thee workers are all very friendly and greet you as you walk indoors. They do take walk-ins but this place stays pretty busy so it would be better to make an appointment to save time. The cuts usually take anywhere from 30-45min depending on the type of haircut! They used to have 5 barbers due to there increase of clients they have integrated 2 more barbers. I usually get my undercuts from Manda and or Tony they are both great at what they do and take pride in their art! Manda is also great with Freestyle. Pio is also a great barber with lots of experience and patience with children!

MrPJ Vernon Ricardo definitely took care of this sheep dog. Its been a while so now I sat in the barber chair. But today not only did I get a haircut but a hot shave as well. I am definitely pleased with the results and the attention that was given to me during my visit. Thanks Again!

Ronen Mintz Very nice guys. There are eight barbers, but its much better to make an appointment. If you do not make an appointment, you may have to wait quite a while. Got a great haircuts for a great price! Highly recommend

Nik Nik We take my son here and my fiancee, all the barbers in there do a fantastic job. I have anxiety being around ppl but its so chill in there, I wonder if they do female cuts. Im going to find out. Bc Id rather go here than any female place just from experiences. No they dont flirt with the females that come, they are respectful. Its the chill at home mama raised you to act right in public type of men and you got kids, they understand. Good with dealing with my little boy. I highly suggest this place!

Ginnie Woloski Barnes Kelly was great with my son’s haircut. She listened to what he wanted and is great at what she does. He asked for lightening bolts and she took the time to look them up with him to make sure he got exactly what he wanted!! She was very gentle with him especially since he has very sensitive skin!! We will definitely be visiting her again when we are in the area!!!!

Thomas Draughon Rocky has been serving the community for a couple decades now. His love for Okeechobee and its residents is unwavering even in the face of multiple new barbershops that have opened up within his time at this location. His services mainly pertain to men and boys haircuts. Rocky is a walk-in only shop which is very helpful for those of us who have a hard time keeping appointments or setting them. I recommend it to anyone who is in the area and doesnt mind taking a break while you wait your turn to jump in the hit seat.

Ashley Goulette Best place in town to get a haircut. Its the only place my husband and son go, hell I even get my haircut there.

Darque Saber Fast service, pleasant staff. I got exactly the haircut I asked for with not badly cut areas. Ample seating and the television is set on animal networks which I find enjoyable. The price is excellent.

Jeanette Bronger Barneys has a small room in the back of his barber shop where several ladies give haircuts to women. I have had Molly and Linda wash and cut my hair. They do a good job. The women are very nice, cordial, friendly. They treat you very nicely. My hair cut with a wash is $19. I dont know what other services they offer.

Alicia Burney I love Barneys & Beauty. I have been coming here for 25 years.The service is always excellent.Never have had a bad cut or style.I always feel so much better when I walk out of there.Professional and friendliest service in town.

David Venegas I love Barney’s barbershop Barney was the first person to ever cut my hair my dad used to take me there every other week to get a haircut only thing they didn’t touch was my rat tail. It’s good to know I left for fifteen years and come back here to still see a hometown barbershop still open and running it’s so nice to see that. This barbershop was also the place that cut my kids hair as well. They gave my kids there first ever haircut. I can’t wait to visit again!!

Virginia Lacole The young girl messed my hair up, I was told before I sat in the chair these ladies can cut any race type hair, words out of the owners mouth. I walked out with super short hair had to go to Hair cuttery the following day to get my hair fixed. Paid way to much than I should have. Will never reccomend anyone to go here.

Hap Stevens This is an awesome styling salon featuring stylist for young and old alike. Inside is a relaxed ambiance with experienced, friendly stylists.

Swanson Renee (Blondie) Its a girl with a gun tanning salon beautiful atmosphere and surrounding. Clean and friendly staff . they have a cute little play room for little ones while mommy tans .

Gulf Shore Long wait even with appointment. Some employees are uneducated and low-key rude. Overall, better off going to a local place that’s appointment only.

Jan Johnson Wendy did a beautiful, creative and thoughtful job on my cut and style. Looked at the pictures i brought, discussed possibilities and created a style that enhanced my face shape. She provided suggestions to consider when I style my hair. Overall lovely experience.

Jennifer Dotts Gloria is the best!! My son has high functioning autism and she made sure he was comfortable, she spoke softly to him and kept asking him if he was okay. I would highly recommend her for anyone and kids with special needs.

Kristeen Oliveira Kristi did a wonderful job on me and my daughters hair and my daughters eyebrows. Hidden gem of a place and gorgeous inside! Reasonable pricing and quality work.
