C Castillo Absolutely my favorite and most reasonably priced place in Gainesville. Henry does great work if you’re looking for someone who does designs, pays attention to detail and such. Hi is the best for pedicures and gives good massages. They have great customer service, they try to work with you if you’re a walk-in as best they can. They offer you beverages etc. I moved here about a year ago and I’m picky about by my nail spots but I love this place overall and never had an issue.

Jennifer Bethig Absolutely love this nail salon! I had a mani & pedi and she did a fantastic job! I’m always nervous because most places I usually leave with 2 or 3 cuts on my cuticles but this place paid close attention to what they were doing and were very careful. I showed her the design I wanted and it turned out so cute! 10/10 would come back again.

Jessica Soares Hands down best pedicure in town (trust me, I’ve tried almost all the salons). The attention to detail and customer service is to notch. If you want a good clean thorough pedicure service, this is your place. Price is pretty average for a pedicure.

Johanna Walker I’ve never been to a nail salon that paid more attention to detail than Only Nails. They go above and beyond to ensure that they take every step to make your nails last as long as possible and it shows! Before I went to Only Nails my nails would break or start lifting within or after the first week, now my nails last 3-5 weeks! Definitely schedule an appointment because they get crazy busy and the wait time can be an hour but that’s expected because they’re literally the best place in gainesville.

Zuelay Rosario 2023 review Nina is the best technician. I always leave pleased with her work. I usually get acrylic and gel mani with her. Highly recommended! — 2022 review I have been coming here for a couple months now. The lady who has been doing my nails (acrylic & gel polish) does a really nice manicure, but the pedi service falls a bit short. I only get pedi every other month, so I will still be coming but maybe try other technicians. The location, pricing and color selection is great.

AGTV Allison I went in for a new set and pedicure 9 days ago, and yesterday my middle nail snapped off. I wouldn’t have returned but since i called and they said they would fix it for free, i did. Today i went in and got it “fixed” but the nail looks awful. The woman did not put any pink under the white so you can see through my nails (my other nails had the pink) and she put way too much white and it was a different shape. I would of been fine with it since i could deal with a weird looking nail for a week until i get them redone (at a different place) but when i went to leave, they said it would be 8 dollars. I informed the front desk person that I was told on the phone it would be free, and he said because of the length of my nails, it would be 8 dollars. i paid for the length of my nails when i got the full set only 9 days ago when i paid 130 dollars for a mani pedi. I would understand if it broke off from a fill because nails get old and weathered so they need to be replaced, but before i got them done i did not have acrylics on at all, so after only 9 days, it should not have snapped off (so easily as well) edit: the top coat she put on my nails today is peeling off as well, including on the new nail)

Lindsay Came here for a gel removal to let my natural nails breathe for a little bit. Unfortunately, I got cut with the orange rectangle buffer and the nail tech acted like nothing happened. I’ve been getting my nails done regularly for over a decade and this is the 2nd time I’ve ever been cut. The nail tech didn’t throw away the buffer after it cut me, just put it back in a drawer, so that’s gross to think it might be reused on someone else.

Russ Sara (Sara Lee) Went for a pedicure and requested the paraffin pedi with gel polish. The tech was nice, but I assume she forgot I asked for it because I got callus removal and the basic pedicure without even having lotion or any scrub, etc prior to her painting them. Only once this was done did I mention something and she proceeded to do the socks, lotion and towel. In all salons I’ve visited prior this was done prior to the polish but I again assume she forgot the pedicure I had requested. Even if I did not remind her, I still got a very basic pedicure with little effort. I was also charged an additional 15$ for gel, which is not a big deal but is not clear when advertising the pedicures they offer. Not sure if I just had a weird experience; the overall pricing isn’t bad for additional services compared to higher end salons but I’d try them again. Quality of the paint is decent and again she was very nice.

Savy B DO NOT COME HERE ! I came for wax and full set. She left part of my eyebrow uneven also not to mention butchered my nails! I asked for short nails but not this short and even told her they were way too short. I pointed out that she missed a lot of areas with the white paint and she stated she fixed it (she didn’t). She cut me multiple times to pay as much money as I did and asked for it to be fixed I’m just in shock on how they don’t care for their customers happiness. I have engagement photos this weekend and now I’ll have cut up nails, horrible painting job, super super short ugly nails. Not to mention I hope someone can fix my eyebrows in time. Like I stated DO NOT COME HERE. They give away stuff for reviews no wonder they have so many “good reviews”

Korrie Harmon Schaeffer Absolutely lovely salon! Small. Quiet. Clean. Ray did my nails for this Christmas season and WOW! He was sweet, friendly, attentive to detail, and most importantly, innovative. I asked for red and green chrome nails with an accent on my ring finger. He suggested putting cat eye under the jelly color on top of silver chrome to give it a shimmer effect. My goodness, Ive not been this thrilled with my nails in a very long time. He went above and beyond. These are FANTASTICALLY BEAUTIFUL! Thank you, Ray. And thank you to the staff members who helped me take these beautiful pictures! Edit: these were incredibly beautiful but didnt last a full week. Got them repainted and requested double top coat, so far so good.

B Cherie Entrekin I have been going to Grand Nails for a couple of years now. I’ve always received the best in customer service however, this past week they went above and beyond to prove what a Professional business they truly are. I had my acrylics touched up with a gel polish put on during lunch on Tuesday. For some reason on Wednesday, one of the nails had the polish start lifting off. So I walked in after work on Wednesday to fix the one nail. Much to my surprise, they redid the whole entire set for free. They didn’t want to chance the quality of something happening to the other fingers in case a step was missed in the original process, which they could not prove. How amazing is that? And they recently remodeled their Salon and it looks beautiful. I highly recommend them.

Amber Parker Oh boy where do I begin. I want to start off by saying that I have been coming here over 7 years and I’m honestly just highly disappointed on so many ends. I came in for an acrylic over-lay fill on Friday 12/13. I got a solid color which was done by a gentleman who I do not know the name of. During the process of getting my nails done, i expressed that I would like my cuticles cut down. When I came in for the initial full set of the acrylic overlay of my real nails, the lady that did my nails dialed my fingers in water and some sort of skin softener when she cut down my cuticle. She explained that this was done to reduce any tearing, breaking or bleeding of the cuticle, which, I am so grateful she did that. This gentleman that did my fill, roughly cut down my cuticle with no moisture added to the cuticle and in turn, he cut multiple of my fingers. Even when I jumped and wiggled in pain, he did not apologize or even stop to see why I was hurting. I had to point out that I was bleeding and that it was stinging really bad and he said NOTHING! Throughout the duration of me getting my nails done I tried several times to make conversation with him, compliment the job he was doing, even though I had to point out areas that he did not cover with the nail polish. It became a very awkward and uncomfortable experience all together because I felt like this was not a language barrier, he just flat out didn’t want to talk to me which hurt my feelings a little bit. All of the ladies surrounding me were chatting, laughing, sharing stories, and even showing each other things on each others phones while the nail tech was doing their nails. By the time I left the nail salon around 2ish, my nails were chipping and peeling on FOUR different nails! Mind you, I paid $50 (plus a $10 tip which was not deserved but I always tip no matter what) for this fill on short/ medium healthy length nails (nothing too crazy). What’s even worse is, I got my nails done for an event which they looked like I never even got them touched up on! I’m not only angry but I feel disrespected! How dare these nail salons charge money like they are amazing specialists and the work is mediocre unless I coach and guide them through the entire process, which just takes the relaxation and joy out of the manicure process. Monday morning I arrive back at the nail salon because they are closed on Sundays and I arrive at 9:42AM (12 minutes after they open). To my surprise not only can they not take me right away after explaining the situation, I don’t even get an apology and the ONLY nail tech available is the guy who did my fill, which I explained I did not want doing my nails again. They told me I’d have to wait 30 minutes which I honestly was not happy about. The guy at the front desk went and did someone else’s nails, when, touching up my polish would have taken 5-8 minutes, which makes more sense to knock me out the way, THEN start on her nails; considering the fact that technically I was serviced before her, and they COMPLETELY dropped the ball in SO many ways. I was almost tempted to ask for a refund because even though I received a service, the service was done so poorly and I have to take time and gas out of my day, to come back to the salon 3 days later because my nails were peeling like crazy on the SAME day (and this is “quality” gel polish). I’m not a brat, nor do I feel like the world revolves around me, but to pay so much money, for a FILL on short nails, and to have the nails butchered, my event outfit downgraded, no apologies or any real customer service provided, and being such a long time customer and familiar face in that place, which a kind heart and a generous tipper… IM HURT! And I feel TRULY wronged. I’ve only ever asked for my money back on nails ONCE and I was 17 and the job was just absolutely horrible I wanted to cry. I’m extremely disappointed in the downgrade of service and unfortunately I will not be coming back here and I will be spreading the word. There is nail techs who own their shop, do AMAZING quality work, and won’t ever do this to you!!

Michelle Munns I absolutely love Tracy at Pro Nails and Spa! I asked her to please make my finger nails and toe nails match and look how perfect they came out!! (I had put acrylic on my toes, too!) Shes the best with almost 20 yrs. of experience, I am so glad I found her!!! Thank you so much and I will see you soon!! I definitely recommend Pro Nails and Spa!!! Thank you Tracy!!

Scrap Miss Diamond is the First Lady to do my nails EXACTLY how I wanted them. Short and SHARP, with a beautiful design. I absolutely loved my experience with her and that she immediately knew what I was looking for without telling me it couldn’t be done. These nails have lasted me 3 weeks! I’m a logger and do tree work, so they have been put to the test!

Crystal Williams Chantel is my go to, she never disappoints me. I’m always getting compliments on my nails and not to forget she gives an amazing pedicure!

Mia Duffy Tracy is so awesome!! She is very knowledgeable and believes in beautiful, healthy nails.

Heather Dempsey We had a wonderful experience! First, Lewis did an absolutely wonderful set (see photos). Absolutely crushed it! I did not realize prior to making the appointment what the inspiration photos looked like that my friend was getting nor the time it would take, but we never felt rushed. Lewis took his time and was meticulous to get the job done right even though we ended up keeping them late. Kristen was very kind and did a great job for her pedicure. David did my classic pedicure and classic gel manicure and he was very meticulous as well. They earned our business in the future!

Drunken Clams WOW! My eyebrows look the best they ever have! Lilly was amazing, I had eyebrow lip and chin wax, and had a lovely pedicure with paraffin wax and hot stone (highly recommend) the manicure both woth gel. They have a great atmosphere and a cute little bar with real brand wins, sparkling, and beer not the box garbage. Very pleased will be back

Paige Godfrey This is the best nail salon I have been to. I came in as a walk-in and the people there were very accommodating. Some of the workers even helped my elderly mom move around and held the door open for her. We got pedicures and I also got a manicure, and both services were great. I highly recommend coming here!

Anna Edit: Disappointing service, and they overcharged me for a regular manicure (without gel) and I didnt realize until I left town. Because of this dishonesty I definitely wont be back. I included photos taken the day after the service, my poor nails are now paper thin and already chipping like crazy. Itll be awhile before they recover from this extreme case of over buffing unfortunately.

Angel Cogar Tee is awesome! She did my acrylic removal, gel manicure, and deluxe pedicure with gel. IQ is also the cleanest nail salon Ive ever been to. Everyone is constantly cleaning and sanitizing.

Nikki Lagree First time customer and beyond satisfied. First time visit due to an emergency of one of my nails needing to be taken off. Searched nail salon near 13th st closed at 6pm because i was returning into town from GA and this is one of the few that was open late. I’m very happy with the services and Katelynn was very honest about the condition of my nails and kind to do a style i requested without hesitation. Rebecca Wright Not sure who the new lady who did my gel polish was but there is polish all over the skin which means it will peel quickly and trap water which creates fungus and infection. As you can see this does not look professional at all.

kimberly williams I scheduled an appointment with a specific person with the shop for several days now. I called to confirm as I was running late and they kindly said no problem. When I entered the shop, I learned the person had been on vacation for about a week. They didnt want to let me know because they wanted to keep the appointment and put me with another person. I asked why they failed to notify the artist was on vacation when I called earlier, or when I originally made the appointment. They literally shrugged their shoulders and said sorry, lol. Kinda disappointing because the owner is by far the best nail artist here, but that type of customer service is pretty terrible.

Megan Graham mind you,  Im pregnant & a little more biased as I am a licensed cosmetologist. I went in with powder french-dipped nails, asked for them to be soaked off & redone, and for an upgraded pedicure. my tech was an older lady with short, choppy hair. the pedicure was standard. she cut into the corners of my big toe too deep. the massage was rushed but she had good pressure. I requested the hot stone and paraffin upgrade. because she was rushing, she burnt the skin on my inner calf. I told her it was too hot and she just kept going. I understand there was a language barrier, but this was where I started to feel uneasy. I told her I wanted to keep my length and my natural nail, that I wanted French dip with solid glitter accent nails. she removed my prior set by prying them off with an acrylic tip after I specifically asked for them to be soaked off. I spoke up when she started cutting them and she reassured me she was just "evening them out" I told her to keep them long and she said she was going to make them have tips. I said no, I dont want false tips, I just want white tips. at this point another tech spoke up and said she would do sculpted tips like we had consulted. I said no, thats not what I asked for. long story short, my nails ended up flush with my nail bed, she filed into my nail bed to give them some semblance of a shape and she cut into my nail bed on 7 of my nails. when I went to pay I was just so upset with everything, I swiped my card & walked out. I sat in the car and called back up there and explained my issue and she said come back, well fix it. i told her no,  they were too short and she had compromised my nail bed. there were open cuts & they would have to grow out and heal first before I could undergo any other services. I really wanted a partial refund & she said come back in a week but not on the weekend. well FF a week later and Hurricane Elsa was here & she told me it had been too long and I needed a fill and she would only do 3 repairs of the 7 injured nails. we went back and forth and I asked if I could just get my money back, and she refused, so consumer beware.

Kelley I used to come to this location regularly about 4 years ago and have missed it dearly. Out of all nail salons I have ever been to in Florida, Sakura Nail Spa has been my favorite. The regular pedicure is great, but the deluxe is worth it too! Michael gives great massages. My toes always look great and I feel relaxed when I leave!

Chloe Walton I went in to get nails for my graduation, I haven’t gotten nails in about a year and really just wanted to treat myself for my hard work. I asked for pink and white acrylic french nails (see Pinterest inspired pic attached). When I went in, the staff were very nice. The tech that did my nails had her small child with her, and while I understand there are circumstances to everything, my appointment lasted almost two hours because of how disruptive he was being. When we started my nails, I asked for them to be shortened twice and they were left longer than I wanted but I didn’t not want to ask a third time. On their webpage pink and white full set is priced at 55$, when I went to pay I was charged 70$ before tip which shocked me so I asked for a price breakdown. My card was partially in the reader but my tech pushed my card in for me BEFORE telling me where the extra 15$ came from which I found very disrespectful and inappropriate. 10$ added for “long nails” (I asked twice for them to be shorter) and 5$ for the shape (which should be part of the service!). 5 days after getting this set three began peeling up and by day 7 all three had fallen off. I called and they were very nice and said they would fix it for me, but my real nails were destroyed and bleeding (see pic) after having fallen off. I stated that I wasn’t comfortable getting fresh acrylics put on an open sore and I was told that it’s either that or I get them taken off. I asked for a partial refund since I had my nails for only 5-7 days! And I payed 75$!! And I was told they don’t do refunds. Instead, I got them taken off and a very poor clear coat put on (see pic). I am very disappointed and tried to be reasonable and understanding with this salon, but I just feel scammed. Even when they did “fix” my nails, they did not even offer to paint them.

Lucy Diamond I cannot get over how much I love these nails. I dont get my nails done often, and every time I do I hop to a different place because I never find THE place. I think I found the place!!! Kevin did amazing, the place was spotless, they took me as a walk in, and the price was unbeatable. I will be coming here again. I also get pedicures here; all their stations, tools, and products are clean. This is a perfect spot to get your nails done in Gainesville!

Raye Rojas-Zagurski Surprisingly large space, clean, and fresh. nice team manger. Got the Spa pedicure to try the services. It was early morning so seemed easy for walk-in appointment and they were quick. Convenient location for groceries after at Publix, and easy parking. Good service.

Jamie Marino Came to Pretty nails and spa for the first time today with my daughter. Ryan did an amazing job on my chrome French, literally perfection! Also, I had my 3 year olds nails and toes painted and they were very kind and patient. Awesome place with awesome staff, will absolutely be back! It’s hard to find good nail people. P.s decided to get my eyebrows waxed also and she did them soooo good! This shop is a gem! If you’re on the fence, trust me go, you won’t be disappointed!

Ashlei Lemmond I am in town on business and I desperately needed my nails done. Lux Nails was one of the first I came across and I didn’t have time for an appointment. I walked in and was immediately greeted by John and after a brief wait, I was taken to a table where John started my gel acrylics, and then his wife Lani finished them. They were both very kind, gentle, and took their time. I’m super pleased with how my nails turned out. If I’m ever in the Gainesville area again, I will definitely stop in here.

Jackee Robb John and Lani are amazing!!! Upon entering the salon, you feel so welcomed by their kindness to the customers and their staff. It is just an added bonus that they do beautiful work, that also doesn’t chip or break, and lasts! I have never had my nails done so well, and I have been to a lot of salons in town trying to find the right fit! I am always very pleased with their work. John does my nails, but Lani is also so sweet and does beautiful work. I am so glad I found them!
