Alyssa P Patti was my hair dresser. She did the money piece for me and she explained my hair may need a second session since my hair naturally is black. I still need a second session and an all around color to even out my color. Overall my experience was ok. She gave me tips on what I can do for dry hair. The interaction between customer and client is always important to me as trying to find a hair dresser is very difficult in this state.

Dee Roberts I found my new hair salon. They were initially on Groupon as Blu Salon. They changed their name to Salon West. I have been looking for a hair place for years and my experience with Debbie was great. She listened to what I wanted and made some suggestions for my hair. We decide to add some low lights to add definition to my hair. This was a good choice, I love the look. Im growing my bangs out so we just shaped the front and did a little trim on the back. This will be my new go to place.

Mary Andrews I needed my hair done with a partial highlight with a haircut. I was currently going to a salon about an hour away which had no availability. I was able to get an appointment same day with Me Too Salon which was only a mile away. My appointment was with Sam and she was fantastic!! Areddwolf Best hair salon in Bradenton! Nancy did a fantastic job on my highlights and cut! She is also one of the nicest people you will ever meet. The salon is very clean and beautiful. We should all support our local businesses that were affected by the shutdown and Bayside Hair Salon is definitely one that deserves it! They were very flexible on scheduling and took extra time to make sure my hair was perfect.

So, I sat down., I was impressed that she didnt try to get me out of her chair in 15 minutes like most of the "chop shops" out there. She took her time. Katie did my hair (and my husbands), and did an outstanding job. I love that she really took her time with both of us. My hair looks fantastic and healthy again. Lynn H. Five years. That’s how long it has taken me to find a stylist in Bradenton who I like! Corinna is so kind, so patient, and does great work. She makes me feel comfortable, and is understanding of my indecisiveness as well. I never feel rushed when I am working with her. As far as the salon, everyone else is always pleasant. Especially the front desk woman, who I am sorry but I do not recall her name. She is a gem! I also find the salon to be fairly priced.

Holly B Finally getting around to this. Should be zero stars. But about a year ago I visited this salon. Let me start by saying I hadn’t had my hair done in 9 months due to being pregnant. My old hair dresser who did the best job I’d ever had- moved. So I researched salons close to my home and came across this salon. I saw some really nice work coming from here and we had family coming down- pictures were going to be taken. I decided to book an appointment. They got me in with Corinna, I believe her name was. At my appointment- sitting in the chair discussing with her what I’d like- I show her a picture of how my hair looks when I get it done- I said to her “I’m not sure if you call it ashy or icy but that’s the tone I like”. She seemed to understand what I wanted and began working on my hair. My next complaint is that she yanked my frail wet hair while brushing it. I haven’t had that happen to me at a salon in I couldn’t tell you how many years. That’s not necessary- especially not through frail wet just bleached hair that has virtually no elasticity left. RIP hairs. She dried my hair and in the salon lighting it looked pretty decent. I tipped her well. And then my husband picked me up from the salon. Upon examining my hair under natural lighting I found MANY MANY issues. The tone- I am gold and brassy. I asked for ash/icy. The method of applying color looks choppy. And there is little to NO blending into my roots. They also didn’t do a root tap- so I was left with redness from color lifting and no toner applied. My husband said it looked like someone who just got out of school did my hair. I was so embarrassed of how my hair looked and because we were having our families come down within the week I didn’t want my hair to look like this in all the pictures that would last us a lifetime. My husband encouraged me to call the salon and communicate what had happened. Which I have never done in my ENTIRE life. So after mustering up the courage to do so- and having sent over pictures to the manager. Their response was that the same hair stylist would have to fix my hair because they work off commission. And that there would be a manager there to check in on the process. The manager also seemed to side with the hairstylist in saying that “I wasn’t really sure what I wanted”. Which made me furious- because I stated what I wanted to the hairstylist the only thing I said I was unsure of is do you use the term ash or icy which all in all iykyk - BASICALLY THE SAME THING. So how did I end up gold and brassy? I sent the manager pictures- no one was shocked. No one apologized that work like this came from their salon. No refund of any kind was offered. Just an offer to let that same girl do my hair again. I made an appointment but at last minute decided it would be in my best interest not to go because bleach is very damaging- I wasn’t going to let her try to “fix” her own botched job while the manager pokes his head in. I believe this was a case of lack of experience and/or rushing through. Corinna was leaving for vacation right after my hair appointment and I do felt like she rushed through it because I’ve been getting the same thing done for 5 years and this was the quickest I’ve been in and out of a salon. Needless to say……I had to find another hairstylist who could correct this work- thankfully I ended up with hair I was satisfied with. But only of course after paying another $400 to someone else to fix the $400 hair dye job I had done at shear rituals. The picture on the left is what my hair would normally look like when I got it done. This is ALSO the EXACT same picture I showed the hair stylist. The picture on the right was Corinna’s interpretation of what I had asked for. I know these pictures speak for themselves. Shame on you shear rituals for letting work like this come from your salon. I’d also advise a better policy put in place for mishaps like these- as people most likely don’t want their hair “fixed” again by the person who was supposed to fix it in the first place.

Durena Tobin Unfortunately my hairstylist retired a little over a year ago and right before she did I had already decided to quit getting my hair colored and go natural. So I took over a year letting it go and just trimming the ends myself. It was finally time to get a good haircut and get all of the brassy ends color cut off. I had lots of recommendations for different hairstylist but I was looking for something closer to my house. So on to Google I went. I found that this salon had great reviews. I chose Sarah and booked an appointment. The day came and I was ready. I had to make arrangements with other people to go to my appointment. I received a call that morning that Sarah was sick could they reschedule me. Ugh...I explained that I would have to talk to all involved on my end in order to make arrangements again for another appointment. She then offered me the same time but with Lucaya. I thought why not I was going to someone new anyway. I also remembered seeing her name in some of the good reviews. It is a cute salon and the receptionist was very friendly. Lucaya was very friendly and listened to what I wanted. Everything works out for a reason because Lucaya did a great job and I am very pleased with the results!!!

Cisco KIDD Lisa is the bomb! Best hair stylist ever! She does Brazilian Blowouts that keep my hair healthy without frizz!

Dee Kerr I had the best experience when I came to see Lisa. I have never had any trust in any hair salons after my hair was butchered in high school. One of my good friends referred Lisa. And Im not going to lie , I was a little nervous due to the past Experience, but once I sat in Lisas chair and she did her thing, I was completely wowed by her work! Ginny Castellano As always I had an excellent experience with Freddie D. Im tired of the every 3 week grey cover up, and know I wont be able to go cold turkey and look at the grey and brown mess.I knew this would require a experienced colorist, and Freddie is slowly lightening my dark hair to soften the transition to full on grey. Love the effect he achieved! Would definitely recommend Freddie to anyone who needs a well experienced professional.

marci duncan Gale has been coloring and cutting my hair for over 24 years! She is an expert! Her daughter Kristen is the owner and they both did hair and makeup at my daughters wedding at the Crosley Estate! They r terrific.!!! Totally recommend their expertise!!! My hair has been foiled for years and now colored. The gray and curls make my normally straight hair difficult for me but Gale tames it. Went yesterday cause had event last night and wedding tonight. My hair looks terrific!!!. Not like my own!!! Conditioners, additives, styling!!! Couldnt do it myself! Really!

Anita Lerose If youre looking for an amazing colorist look no further than Laura Buck. I happened to meet a friend of mine who is getting her hair done at this hair salon and Laura was finishing up her hair. We were talking about mine and how it would be nice to be able to lighten it. I have had very dark hair for decades (mocha, espresso, dark brown, black, etc.) Anytime a stylist try to lighten my hair it would always go to an unattractive rusty copper kind of color, damage the hell out of my hair and end up being nothing that I wanted ...When I expressed my concerns to Laura she said youre just dealing with lazy colorists Well get there Now this didnt happen overnight and it took a couple of treatments and toners but after doing a little research on Pinterest I decided that I wanted to end up somewhere in a mushroom ash brown with some dimension I could not be happier with my hair I so happy that Laura suggested the change because I never wouldve done it myself due to my past experiences I have attached a few pictures So that you can see how dark my hair was and how awesome it turned out

When I suggest a certain cut or color Lisa always takes the time to explain professionally why it won’t work. She is usually right. I went in today for some color correction after getting highlights at another salon that just weren’t quite right. Mercedes did an incredible job on a root blend and I’m SO grateful. I walked in feeling pretty self conscious and left feeling amazing. Not only did the actual service exceed my expectations, I brought my 6 month old (which is nerve-wracking in and of itself!) and they could not have been more accommodating or thoughtful. Angie even sat with my baby during my wash (which was so lovely, by the way…comfortable wash basin chairs DO exist!). The whole experience was truly above and beyond!! 10/10 recommend :)

Sarah Taylor I am beyond disappointed at the service I received at JRS. I waited over 40 mins for the stylist to arrive & showed a photo of the last time I had been at the salon and 4 hrs into being there was asked if I was on a time crunch. In total I spent 6 hrs at the salon and my hair looked awful. The stylist put a base color over top of the highlights giving me dark roots with an orange tint I paid $220 to the salon and called the owner the next day to express how disappointed I was she shared she was going out of town and my only option was go use the stylist I had already seen. I sent photos and requested a refund and ended up going back to a salon I have used before only to pay another $220 to fix it. I realize we all have off days but, I think it’s terrible customer service to not provide some sort of refund when you go to the salon you want to walk out feeling beautiful and instead I hated my hair and didnt feel comfortable going back to the same stylist. I wouldn’t recommend this salon at all they did not make me feel special and instead even Made comments about how they didn’t charge me full price as if they had done me a solid.

Franca Di Salvo I have been to this salon many times and I have never encountered such a bad highlight job in my life. Highlights not blended well and the orange tint!!! Very disappointing. When I sent the hairstylist Brooke the pictures she said she would fix it. I went in and all she did was put toner in one specific area to try and take the orange tint out (did not work), did a quick wash and didn’t even blow dry my hair. Lol! Did not attempt to fix anything else. I guess she was happy with her work!!! She said the foils must have slipped - I guess the foils slipped everywhere.

ezra Melendez never going back there, Nancy cut my hair and didnt even do it right, I wanted my sides and undercut done and she didnt even part my hair, she just started shaving, my hair was so jaggered, I had to have my sister and brother fix it for me, my friends son wanted a mohawk and nancy was told so and did not give hime the hair he wanted, in fact she cut off the hair he wanted to keep, my dad asks her everytime to try not to get hair in his face and I watched as she carelessly let the hair fall on his face, Nancy just cuts hair to cut hair, I do not recommend, she does not cut hair like she cares, she just does It to do it.

Jenny Woodall Nancy was fantastic, and did exactly what I wanted. She offered some advice for my hair type, which was great. The true test came when I washed it the first time, and it was just what I was hoping for. Ill definitely go back, and I told my son to go see her barber there as well for his haircuts.

David Eliassaint Nacy is awsome and excllent barber, Ive been searching for a replacement barber for months due to me moving from Georgia. I can honestly say she will not disappoint. If you are looking for barber look no further.

Tyler Laughlin Marquis is an amazing barber first off, easy to talk to even to those with anxiety. Excellent customer service and attention to detail. Can’t recommend him enough. I will be coming back.
