Kylie Cummings So I booked a standard haircut and wash , I wanted some long layers and to keep my length. Pretty standard right? My stylist was Bernette. Shes absolutely horrible my layers were choppy and one side was longer she wanted about 6 inches of my hair cut off. I said no and she did about 4 off (not much better). She kept insulting my hair saying my spilt ends were super high (I have previous layers so they were layers not my entire head) she couldnt seem to understand that. When washing my hair she had freezing water and it kept getting in my ears (granted I didnt say anything because some people say cold waters better than hot) but she only warmed it up when she had to wash the shampoo off her hands. I also wanted face framing the photo I showed had the layers starting right above her shoulders she cut them at my chin..... at the end she showed my my hair and I looked in the mirror I held in tears as I was given some 80s bangs done by a 3 year old. The other times Ive been here the ladies have been great.... just not Bernadette or whatever her name is. My mother payed so Im not sure of the exact price(I sat in the car and cried that my beautiful hair looked horrible) but it was still too much for what I got. Please of you go here dont ask for Bernadette. She also kept editing insulting me... "god you must love heat your spilt ends are crazy" was one that stuck.... I cant remember the last time I used a straightener. Please please dont make the mistake i made going.

Diane Freeman I had the best cut, color and style with Jen. I came in with drab and came out with fab! It’s almost a week later and because the cut and color were so excellently done, it still looks great- even when I style it myself! The first two pics are after and the last one is before

Theresa Jordan Ive been going to Melissa for quite some time, and she is the best! My gray was changing so I wanted her to tweak it for me. She added some silver lowlights and gave me a layered cut and I just LOVE it! Ive had so many compliments on my hair since Ive been seeing her but even more after I had this done. Melissa will listen to any concern you may have, and she informs you as she goes. I might add that the day I went into the salon happened to be the day they lost their electricity! They had ZERO lights, but she just went about business as usual and did my low lights while someone else held the phone flashlight!! :) She was still able to get these results and I am very happy with them. You will be happy with Melissa too if you give her a chance to work her magic!

Kimberly Bell Jen is amazing! They never fail to make you feel welcome and relaxed while you have your service done. I appreciate the knowledge of the staff, the atmosphere, and the results of course! It took me a while to find someone trust with my hair, as I know it does for most people so finding this salon has been a god send!

Jessica Bonenclark I never do reviews but had to because I loved this place! Start to finish was amazing. Super cozy waiting area and felt like Alexis was very knowledgeable and informative! Nicole.Brook Thursday the 24th my regular hair stylist cancelled on me for the second time. I was sooo bummed and called 5 or 6 different salons before I found Cortello with an opening, so this was my first time. I was absolutely knocked out at the professionality of service and attention to detail. Alexiss knowledge of hair and how it works is absolutely outstanding and it shows. She was encouraging and complimentary as she talked me through the process, stopped to get my input, and worked her magic to make the most of my locks. She made me feel beyond comfortable while in her chair, and absolutely beautiful by the time I left it. I will be recommending everyone to your salon, and special kudos to Alexis. Thank you so much for the whole experience! I will most definitely be back!

Whisper Kind Things Went to see Abby yesterday. My first time to this salon. Very pleased from the time I walked in. Very clean and they made you feel welcomed. From the moment I sat in Abby seat she was all in with what I wanted. My hair was a wreck and she made me feel so comfortable. 4 hours later. I looked amazing. Im definitely sold. I will be back for sure. Well worth every penny in my opinion. If you have ever had doubts , trust me you wont regret it. Thanks Abby, you are amazing.

dayana gomez Omg. Alexis did my hair and it was truly such an amazing customer service. She was warm and welcoming and constantly asked if everything was okay or if I needed ANYTHING. She told me a little about herself and what she would recommend for my hair. My hair was ATROCIOUS and I’m so glad I took her advice she prioritizes the health of your hair while still trying to get you to your results. She was very real and knowledgeable. Bruce McCranie Cali Miller did an excellent job, especially trimming the thick mop of hair I had around my ears. She is a very easy talk with and she is a good listener.

They always work with me to get me in due to my difficult schedule, Jessica does a wonderful job with my hair and knows exactly what I’m looking for. Jessica definitely provides the TLC and is always able to do everything in a timely but not rushed manner. So thankful I found this salon!

Dee Jayess I just had my hair done here and was so thrilled with the results. Jessica did such an amazing job working with very little hair that I have left after chemo. They were very kind and considerate and I will be happy to come here again. Highly recommend.

Kirsten O After faithfully coming to the salon for well over a year and a half, I made the mistake of telling my stylist Taylor that “I don’t like it.” My bad. I got fired from the salon. Told by the owner that my stylist “wasn’t a good fit for me” but “that’s ok.” No, it’s not OK. It’s not OK that you didn’t even try to fix what you guys messed up. No, it’s not OK to dismiss someone who’s been a long-time client because your stylist screwed her hair up. No, it’s not OK to refuse to admit that you made a mistake! I even walked into the salon with my hair almost exactly like the inspiration picture. I left with flat-looking, mousy colored hair that was COMPLETELY different than what I asked and paid for. When I advised Taylor that I didn’t like it—it just wasn’t right (or anything like the photo and my original hair)— she rolled her eyes at me. When I sent the pics to the manager/owner Tanya, she fired me as a client. I’m just astounded. All that was needed was, “I’m sorry we messed it up.” instead, you left me with this as the only forum to leave any lasting impact. Just incredible. You should be ashamed of yourselves. And now people will know that you handle conflict like bratty little children. The model pic is what I asked for; the two pics are what I got after 3x washing with clarifying shampoo. I was told it was the same—and then fired. Real professional.

K Hall I came in with with very damaged hair. I had a rats nest in the back of my head that had to be cut out and then Jessica was able to shape my hair around the loss of hair in the back and did a beautiful job totally happy. Im going to go back and get another cut and color this time and again ask for Jessica. Amazing experience. Tanyas salon is so clean and crisp and beautiful and calming. Perfect. I will be going back over and over. ,Thank you for all your help.

Stephanie Johnson Kim has been cutting my hair for a couple of years now and she always does a fabulous job. She has been doing hair for decades. Her prices are very reasonable and she is simply a wonderful human. Also, Marie will give you the best shampoo of your life! I highly recommend this salon.

Jessica Pomar I had very long hair down to my butt and I was very nervous about getting half my hair cut off, but Cindi talked me through it and did such an AMAZING job with my cut AND wash and rinse, she was so sweet and I will be going to see her specifically every time now. The inside of the salon is SO beautiful and clean as well. 10/10 recommend ❤️

Alexis Church You have to go see Kim!! I had a great experience here today, and I will defintiley be back for my next hair cut. I have always had pretty difficult experiences when it comes to getting my hair cut, but this was completely different. From the time I walked in I was greeted by friendly faces, and friendly attitudes. The establishment was very clean, and very organized. I brought in some inspiration pictures and explained exactly what I wanted and it was exactly the service that I received. My hair feels so good, and it looks perfect! If you’re looking for your next look you have to check them out!

andrea erla My fiance and I both came in for a cut and style only to leave with just the cut and paid full price. What we were supposed to get was a men’s hair cut with scalp massage and style. My fiancé did not receive the shampoo experience and also was not styled after his cut. I went in for a cut and blowout and did not receive the blowout. Only the cut. I said I wanted to trim it and keep my V shape. It is now straight across and choppy. 105$ plus tip for something we did not want. I’m very frustrated with this experience.

Melody Serrano New to the area. Walked in to inquire on rates and availability. Spoke to Raven, the owner, and set up an appt for 2 days later for haircut. Just left from my haircut appt. Its a warm friendly environment. Nice vibe with music playing. Everyone was friendly, but I was working with Raven. She cleaned up my overgrown hairstyle. Helped give pointers on places to check out in the area for food/music. She did a wonderful job on my super thick hair. I definitely will be going back! Thank you Raven.

Ms Mason SAVED MY LIFE!!!!! Long story short....took the wig off after wearing for years but I knew my hair needed to be chopped off from damage and I wanted a perm so I went to a "known" salon for my makeover. When I left that night I was so hurt I didnt have the strength to speak. I just took my hair down and went to sleep (not to mention the money I wasted). Next morning husband found Salon 180. I called and spoke to Angelica which was able to fit me in at 930 Saturday AM. When I arrived, the place was spotless and everyone was so pleasant! Angelica....GOD SENT!!!! I was in her chair 20 minutes after arriving and she performed a miracle!!!! I didnt think there was any hope but there was. I was so happy that my eyes became glossy. Guess who found her permanent hair salon???? So look, whether your hair is in trouble or you just need that look....GO TO SALON 180!!!! They stand by their word and you wont be disappointed! Denise Taylor I had the WORST experience ever at Booksy: Appointment confirmed: Salon180 Kiera Crooms I spent $90 on hair and she stole the hair I purchased and added old hair to my style. I noticed the difference when I got home. Went to the salon and the stylist confirmed I have two types of hair. DO NOT TRUST THIS PERSON‼️

Miguela McBrien I recently moved to JAX and have been trying to find a hairstylist that is experienced in working with coarse and thick, asian hair. When I tell you this is the best hairstyling experience I’ve gone through, I mean it! Reynaldo added depth and life back into my hair and made this visit so comfortable. I had asked for a haircut and partial highlights and he charged me such a great price in comparison to other salons. Not only that, the partial highlights looked like full highlights and are such a unique color (copper with a hint of chocolate). Definitely, giving fall vibes. My husband loved it so much that I will definitely be coming back.

Justine Rooks Karen Fuller is amazing! Since moving to Jax I have bounced around trying to find someone who can handle delicate, blonde, hypothyroid hair. Karen was so sweet and concerned about keeping my hair as healthy as possible while achieving a nice ashy blonde that complimented my skin tone. She did a perfect trim with my color without sacrificing the length I want while growing out my hair. Pricing was very reasonable in my opinion as well. Bonnie Dennis I tried April out because she offered a color product that is helpful for my scalp. My dermatologist suggested I get away from the products that I had been used and suggested a couple. I saw April used one. It’s much better for my scalp and I don’t break out like I usually do. That was about 2 months ago. Today was my third time in. Root touch up. She nailed it. I’m looking forward to her coloring, cutting and styling my hair. I would highly recommend her. By the way, she does an awesome haircut.

Nai Saephan I don’t know if I spell her name correctly, but it’s either Sophia or Sofia. But she is amazing! Everyone I go to thread my brows always make me cry, but my experience with Sofia was completely different. She was so gentle when threading my brows. She was very friendly and smiled often. Very nice and inviting lady. 10/10 recommend Sofia for threading.

La’Reesha Clercira I called in advance I was told $65 for silk press but when finished being serviced I was told $110. It took almost 25 minutes when I arrived for me to get serviced because they were talking and buying an Apple Watch & AirPods from someone. I’m unsure if they changed the price because of my hair type but I was satisfied with my results. Kinda salty though because when I left the salon it started to rain. Hopefully it’s different next time I come

Daniella Torres I have been coming to this salon for a little less than a year now and I cant believe I havent given them the 5 star review theyve earned time and time again. The first pic is my hair on a day to day basis (freshly washed and air dried). Everytime Ive walked into RIO Ive always left feeling like a princess. Ive worked with Autumn, Natalie, and Zoe (Apprentice) and have NEVER been disappointed with their service, always getting exactly was I wanted and asked for. I typically get a blowout style with every trim I get and it always looks amazing. In the third lic is what my dry hair looked like after receiving the gloss mask treatment. I love this place and I doubt Ill find anywhere else like it. With friendly diverse staff with a whole range of talents, to the comfy interior, and of course complimentary beverage table, I have been throughly impressed. This place is very clean, very professional and very affordable. My services have also never been more than $80 (with tip.) 10/10 would recommend. (P.S . despite the Redken products being more expensive than I typically spend, the product reccomended to me is now my new go -to in shampoo and conditioner. I noticed a WHOLE difference in my hair texture and recommend at least trying them once if you arent satisfied with your current home hair care needs.) Hope to see you there!

Margrette Phillips ZOE WAS ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!! I cannot recommend her enough! She took her time and made sure I was informed with what was going on and kept me comfortable! She gave me cute bangs and pink hair! Here’s a before and after picture. Ask for Zoe next time you stop in!!!

Maily Hinrichsen 5 star: Definitely a service worth coming back to. I was recommended this place a while back by a friend whose stylist was also Natalie. She did an amazing job on my hair, she made sure i was comfortable and before we did anything, she asked me questions and confirmation. She did great doing my hair cut, making sure the length was perfect and her patience with dyeing my hair was great too as we went to almost 7 hours. The result was worth the wait though and I definitely recommend.

Sherri Villani-Santiago I highly recommend RIO!! Salon is clean. Everyone is friendly and inviting. Booking an appointment is easy. My hair is thin and fine. Terri does an amazing job of cutting it to look more full. She is also cautious and knowledgeable when it comes to my allergies.

Mighty Mom Zoey cut my hair a few days ago. She did a good job. While I was there she offered to tint my eyebrows. Unfortunately, she forgot to set a timer and my eyebrows turned out extremely dark. I have fair skin and I ended up looking like a clown. I went home feeling distraught. My sister suggested I go back and have her fix it. When I contacted Zoey for help she made a couple of suggestions but offered no further assistance. Im 64 years old and I didnt feel confident trying anything on my own. I just assumed she would take responsibility and at least attempt a fix. I was completely wrong. My sister even called the shop and spoke with Christine to see if we could get some help, but to no avail. After several more attempts Zoey finally reached out to me. I showed up for the appointment only to have Christine come over and insist I was making a big deal out of nothing. I felt harassed. Zoey finally put me in a chair and worked on my eyebrows for an hour. She was successful at making them lighter. What I dont understand is why they both had to belittle me when I was just asking for help with a mistake Zoey Made. I get it, everyone makes mistakes. But their total lack of compassion and empathy was uncalled for. In the end, I paid $90 to be treated horrifically.

rfrantzich DON’T COME HERE. They do not take responsibility for the stylists. My hair was cut unevenly and rushed. I asked the woman twice if she would like to make sure it was not finished and she haughty told me it was. The staff is unfriendly from reception to hairstylists. Was told one price got charged a higher price. Just not a great experience. I called to complain about my haircut was rudely told to just come back and we will fix it, I told her no way I was too traumatized by the cut and left it at that. The woman who cut my hair did take my phone number and there was no return phone call to salvage this situation by this place. I have reached out several times and I have had no response. If you plan on doing nothing you should not leave a response to this post.

Nichole Had an amazing first time salon experience for my son! Nina was so gentle and helped keep him relaxed during his trim and wash. She is very knowledgeable on the different curl types and used the correct products for his looser curl patterns. Highly recommend and will definitely be back!

Hannah Pickering James Joyce does an amazing color and blowout! I have thick hair and he made quick work of it too!Paige is my regular stylist and she formulated my color and does my curly hair cuts. She is an expert with curly hair! Hair Peace is very accommodating. The stylist I was booked with was out sick, but I needed my hair done for a weekend event so I could not reschedule another day. Hair Peace works hard to find somebody to fill in if at all possible. They put me with James and he did a phenomenal job! My blowout held up for a 3 day weekend (with some minor touch-ups & protective care). Also the salon team helps each other out and creates a really positive, fun atmosphere.

Lexi Gunter This salon is full of very kind people and has amazing customer service and overall provided a luxurious and enjoyable experience. Saige did a wonderful job on my at home bleached hair! She got it all done in one day including color correction/a root smudge and touched it up shortly after and i left with silky hair both times. She is so sweet and even gave me some samples to keep my hair healthy! 10/10 ask for Saige!

Britney Bombaj I saw Paige today and I’m very happy with how my hair turned out. I’ve struggled finding someone that can cut curly hair and I’m very satisfied with what I got done here today. Not only did Paige give me a proper curly cut, she also taught me some things about styling my hair so that I can do it better at home too. I love that. Best haircut experience I’ve had.

Hannah Harris James is the curl guru, and you will not be disappointed. He listens to your concerns and knows exactly what your hair needs. I have fine curly hair which can be a challenging combo since it tends to get weighed down by traditional curly hair products. He does the dry cut for curly hair which makes a huge difference as well as a “curl set” to bring life to your curls. Terry Harris My hair is extremely coarse and Mirela did such a great job on it. It was so beautiful straight and shiny when I left there. The color is awesome as well even though I want it to go natural grey, but her advice is to keep highlighting until we can get there for the health of my hair. I definitely will go back.

Elexus Harriel BEWARE DO NOT GO HERE FOR ANY TYPE OF SEWINS, NOT LUXURY. I came in on 1/12 at 1:30 pm. I had an appointment with the owner for closure sewins. When I came in, there was an older lady who did my wash and conditioning. She did not wash the back of my head, only the front and sides, which left my head extremely itchy throughout the day. When it was time for the sewin, the braid down was terrible, she used dirty braiding hair, which made my hair itchy. After she was down braiding my hair, she went to another client to do their silk press, which held me up when she finally came back to do my sewin it was around 3:30pm. She did not pluck or bleach my closure. When she started the sewin, it was rushed. I came in with a 2x6 closure and 5 bundles of Brazilian straight hair. When she came to the 3rd bundle, she sew in half the bundle and STOLE the other half. There was another stylist who assisted her with that. When she came to the 4th bundle, she was done she did not put in my 5th bundle. She didnt properly flat iron my hair and talked down about my hair but stole it. I dont know if she thought I didnt know anything about hair, but she is sadly MISTAKEN. PLEASE PUT TRUST IN THIS REVIEW. DO NOT COME HERE FOR A SEWINS!!!!!! Maybe for her signature silk press that shes so good at but nothing else. I will never come back to this lady again for a bad job on my hair, and the fact that she stole from me, she is not meant to be trusted. I gave her a little tip so she can buy her some better hair Instead stealing somebody elses. Mind you I paid $200 Plus $20 For the deposit

Jatisa McCray Got a blow out for the first time in years it was so soft silky and fluffy, Ms.Trina was very nice . & she didn’t excessively trim my hair off , I was never at first bc most stylists just butcher your hair off . She only cut what needed to be cut . Defly would go back she was very gentle on my head !

Shout out to KATRINA! Her products used are very high quality and homemade as well.. she’s helped repair my damaged hair time and time again! And has helped with over 10inch of growth! KC Coney I was skeptical to even book because I found them on Instagram and I didn’t see any before pics of women with my hair texture, which is really coily very defined 4c hair. Unfortunately my skepticism was confirmed. I feel the stylist didn’t know how to properly care for my hair texture. She was trying to blow dry my hair in the way suitable for a looser curl pattern which made it very uncomfortable with a lot of pulling and “raking”. The products used clearly did not work for my hair at all because even after the steam treatment my hair was still very undefined and tangled. The customer service was about average with stylist gossiping about other clients, going out for smoke breaks etc. Also, the wash was a joke, she supposedly washed my hair 3 times with 3 different products. Cool, but I know for a fact she didn’t wash the back of my head because one shampoo had a scalp cooling effect and I only felt it on my side and top, nothing on my back. She didn’t scrub my back AT ALL, just the back strands, no attention to my actual scalp even though this was a scalp detox. And I mentally counted, she literally scrubbed my top/sides for 7 secs and then started rinsing again. I know my scalp was not cleansed properly at all. And I even asked before we started if she could give a really good scrub because I had my braids in for the past 2 months and I knew I had a lot of product built up. She was too concerned with a recent negative review, to focus on providing good service to me. But what really irritated me was how my stylist dried my hair. It was one of the worse blow outs I’ve ever experienced. Normally, ESPECIALLY after a deep condition and steam treatment, my hair is soft and very easy to detangle and blow dry. That was not the case here. Then she put me under the dryer after a very mediocre detangle for my “roots” to dry because it would “be a mess” (her words) if she tried to dry my hair from the wet state, which I’ve never had to do. Tbh I wouldn’t go back to this particular stylist. Maybe the other lady referred to as the blowout Queen but I think, Ms P the stylist I had, didn’t know how to care for my hair texture. Very disheartening after spending $140. And i ended up wherein a ponytail by the end of the day because there wasn’t any “silk” in my blowout. It was only straightened. It had no life, body or anything. I gave 3 stars to the salon because the stylist did try to be semi professional and they were able to get me in same day before an interview. **the black hair is to show the blowout and the blonde is just to show my natural curl pattern**
