Janessa Rodriguez My kid went to your salon yesterday to get a layered hair cut with curly partial highlighted hair (natural color under the colored top layer of head) and you do this!? And how Angelas salon recommended you is beyond me. If you dont know how to cut hair, SAY THAT. I am no expert but since her hair had partial highlights you need to either blend the back length so it looks right OR you tell her she can get a front layer because if you do the back this is what will happen! There is no way Im having her go back for a fix because that requires the understanding of how to cut hair. Ridiculous work and shame on you to let her walk out of your salon like that.

Edkeira Curling I’ve been coming here over the past 7 years and Maria always does such a great job on my hair. She has done it again and brought my hair back to life!! She is also very sweet! Bryant Jean (BeachBum4349) Great experience i got a perm and my stylist Alvenia was a little unsure of the condition of my hair because I have my hair colored pink and she wanted to ensure I had not used bleach during coloring. I appreciate the fact that she cared about me as a customer enough to explain the dangers and ultimately left the decision up to me instead of just refusing me service as Ive had other salons do before. The results were AMAZING I absolutely love the way she took her time with every single strand and especially at the end where she gently unwound every one without ripping the ends which normally always have trouble, but not with Ms. Alvenia she wrapped each one with just the right amount of paper or hair not really sure how she made this happen so perfectly... but thanks to Alvenia I have one of the most beautiful perms Ive ever got in my 49 years of life getting perms .. I DEFINITELY will let others know where and who to go see when Im asked where I go get my hair done and Im always asked ... Thanks again Alvenia ... you deserve a raise...

Makayla Crews Had my hair done by Ari and I loved it! She really took the time to listen to what I wanted and did her best to make it happen and I left so happy with the outcome! She’s really sweet, bilingual speaks both English and Spanish and really cares about making you happy and taking care of your hair! Definitely recommend her!

Alicia P. I hate that JCPenny salon only caters to non ethic hair. I wanted a wash/conditioner and trim. Apparently, non ethic hair tends to be cut wet while my hair needs to be blow dried for an even trim due to the curls and coils. Well, you get charged more for having different hair. Also, this location has roaches. There was one on its back fighting for its life in the broad daylight by a door. I see theyre trying to address the problem with pesticides, but having roaches us nasty.

Bryanna I Kelly is awesome! She is so nice and always does such an amazing job with my hair! Best hairstylist Ive ever had :) Ive gone through many hair styles with her and have loved every one! Such as ombré, highlights, and frequent changing of my hair color from purple violet hair all the way to a dark mocha!

Kellie Ashwood Jody and Kylie (Neti sp is nice too!) are all excellent stylists/hair cutters! They Know their products and color! Will definitely be my go to shop for hair color/cuts.

Setu Sharma I usually go to a private salon. My stylist is out due to an injury. I walked it at my appointment time at 12:30 pm and told the stylist there that I need my root touch. First of all despite having a right phone no she didnt find me in the system. Then she started asking if I have henna on my hair. I clearly told her and she could see too my roots are done from a salon and I have red streaks besides my roots. She kept asking about henna hair and God knows why. She started applying touch up to my hair at 12:40 pm and washed my hair at 1:47 pm. Soooo long!!’I clearly told her that my natural hair color is brown black and will need shades of 4. My roots looked a different color altogether and she wasn’t apologetic at all. She instead made me sit on a chair which was prior occupied by a man whose hair she was trimming and that place wasn’t cleaned after he left. She said I could come within seven days to fix it. It is how you soeak and show humility. She still charged me. I didnt say a word and left without paying a tip but did pay the full &55. First of all: stop judging that all Indians put henna on hair. Know your work and apologize when you mess up. Lastly i always appreciated you whenever you cut my son’s hair but will never come to your salon.

Gladyana Coronado If I could give 0 stars I would. Asked my stylist for something light, brunette since it was my first time. And that’s what she did to me, kept me seating with the bleach on my head for over an hour, took two guys to cut their hair while I was just sitting with my hair burning. At the end I just asked her to dye it darker because it was horrible it feels like a bunch of rubber bands, it was white!! and told her I didn’t like it, and I still paid $153 for it. Never dyed my hair, and she ruined and burnt me hair for my first time. I will never dye my hair again, nor visit Hair Cuttery…

Haley Lapinskas I was taken care of by Mia today and I cannot stress enough that she DESERVES a raise!! I let her have free range with my hair and it came out phenomenal. She was so kind and knowledgeable about hair. 10/10 experience with her. The only bad thing I have to say is the manager there had an RBF and I wanted to buy some products but felt kind of rushed out the store by her. I’ll definitely be back to see Mia again though! kassondra I got my hair done by Katelyn. I asked more a wash, scalp massage, blow dry, and curl. SHE DELIVERED!! My hair came out absolutely amazing, and the scalp massage was top notch. Highly recommended seeing Katelyn!

Anniece Rucker Called to ask about the price of a frontal and to see if they had the loc gel I wanted. The person who answered cut me off before I could give him the length and texture I wanted. He said “we can’t go through all of the lengths and prices over the phone.” I said I only wanted the price for 1. He hung up in my face and wouldn’t answer when I called back. Didn’t even get to discuss the loc gel. Will not be spending my money with them ever. Rude, unprofessional and unnecessarily disrespectful.

BP Mom This place has a variety of hair accessories. I am always able to find my daughter hair bows in different colors here. Also the prices are reasonable. My only complaint is that they follow you around as if you are going to steal. One of the older ladies in there came down the aisle where I was with my daughters and started acting like she was straightening up things. I dont mind because I dont steal but she made it apparent of her thoughts when she came from the other side of the store with nothing in her hands just to tidy up the area we were in. I told my daughters to put everything back and we left. Please stop being stereotypical!

Nancy Winters Wow! I came here the other day just on curiosity. The store is huge and has hundreds of wigs. Price is ranging from $25 up to $200 for human hair. They have every accessory that you would need for your hair. All kinds of extensions in every color. They also have products for your hair and jewelry. This is located in a plaza for the Winn-Dixie and laundromat so there is plenty of parking. Friendly staff. And you can try on any wig you like that is on the stand.

Emani Brown Today was an unpleasant experience. Today I bought $60 worth of human braiding hair. The hair was advertised at 16 inches long. When I came home to use the hair, the hair did not reflect what was on the packaging. I immediately took the hair back to the store to explain to them the dilemma, however they were not willing to give me a refund or accommodate me in anyway. I went to the store, stretched the hair out and showed them that is still was not as long as 16 inches and they were not remorseful. I went around the store, looking for something else that could possibly accommodate me especially because they refused to give me a refund and as I was walking around the store I was followed around as if I did not spend my money there already. They treated me like I was going to steal. although they are not the manufacturers of the hair, I do feel like there should have been some better accommodations under the circumstances. I will no longer shop there again. Please look at the hair and tell me if it looks like 16” inches to you. Even when stretched out it was 10” at best. False advertisement at it’s finest and too expensive for that.

Jaide Gan 2024: Ive been going here for a few years but recently have been going to Mallory, specifically, for my cuts. She makes sure she understands what I want and that Im pleased with the outcome, which I am! Also nice that she remembers what Ive gotten in the past so she knows what I like already. Got my color done with her for the first time and wow! I love it! I have thick fine black hair with some leftover dye from over a year ago on the ends, which is a feat, but she tackled it and got me to a beautiful red! Have already gotten so many compliments on it! 2022: Waited 30 min past my appointment but didnt bother me... Gave me time to look up exactly what I wanted. Coty did let me know as soon as I walked in that she needed some extra time- again, no big deal to me. This was my first time getting a cut with Coty and she was wonderful! I wanted a lob with a slight angle and she gave me exactly that. She listened to what I wanted and even let me know some concerns that can come up with it, which I appreciated. I just had a shampoo (included) & cut and it took less than hour. Cant beat the service and quality for the price!

Mario Tello Aurora has magic hands. My hair is pretty difficult to deal with, and she got it organized and growing in a nice way. The place is clean and comfortable. Recommended.

Viola Posley I specifically told this woman to take off half of my son’s hair. I told her I wanted to keep his curls (Spainish curly hair) all the way around. Instead she cut him bald with a little in the top. I will never go there again! Stay away!

Shay Santiago I debated on leaving a review for this place or not, UNTIL I read reviews that I was able to relate to. I came into the store looking for hair products for my daughter. The minute I walked in I felt as if I was being watched, idk, discriminated against maybe? The lady, I believed to be the owner watched me the entire time and treated me as if I was going to steal items and I honestly felt uncomfortable. Never coming to this store again, I will not be recommending to anyone either.

Siera I moved to Sanford 2-3 years ago and began going to Ginas as my local hair supply store. After going here for so long I wouldnt have expected what happened to me today. I went for a ponytail that she even attempted to help me look for. I had never had such an experience with Gina before. Once checking out I handed Gina a 20 and 10 dollar bills and had a remaining $2 to pay on my card. Gina pocketed the 10 and attempted to charge me $12 on my card. When I called her out, and as did multiple others watching the encounter to count her drawer or check cameras she didnt move an inch, only holding up the $20 and claiming that is what I gave her knowing that was false. At the end of it a nice gentleman paid the $32 that was owed allowing me to leave and a sweet lady even gave me my money back as a "Christmas present" she said. I hadnt even realized until after I got home that she never returned the $20 to me despite having another individual pay the total. Just before this interaction I overheard another woman in the store exclaiming to Ginas assistant how she felt uncomfortable being watched like she was stealing and that she was leaving. I underestimated Gina and figured as most do when they read her reviews and thought they misread the situation, as I viewed Ginas presence as help whenever she was approaching me. I thought wrong, as someone who cant fathom to lie and steal Gina put me in a situation to make it look like I was when at the end of the day she pocketed my $30 I gave her and had another man pay for the hair! As I said then, I wont be back and I hope this sits on her conscience. If I ever see the lady and gentleman that helped me, I can only hope to be in a better situation to give it back. If they see this post, I want to thank you so much for helping me and defending my integrity when you didnt know me.

T Breezy This lady Gina is the most disrespectful hair supply owner I have ever experienced. In California, there are beauty supply stores that have "tester" products out so you can see what youre getting. I thought thats what one of her lock gel hair products was because the top wasnt screwed on properly and when I did open the product it already had finger prints in it. So I jst assumed this was a tester product. Shes following you and eyeing you from the cameras she has set up around her disorganized shop. She accused me of opening other products and sticking my fingers in it. She said its because OF ME that the product is now contaminated. I let her know what I thought but she just doesnt care about respect, so the moment she started to talk down on me like I was stealing something I was ready to get loud. Shes a horrible owner and honestly anybody that actually enjoys this place arent good people either. Birds of a feather vibes. Never again!

Karina Brown This salon is by far the best I’ve ever been to get my hair braided. They were friendly, took care of me, and was very fast. I will continue to go to this salon for my hair. I’m very glad I found this place. Hopefully I will try the other things that they offer there soon.

Arlana Kelly Reaves The store may seem small but the owners really make the most of every inch available. It is very clean and easy to navigate. The selection of products is huge. They have everything needed to care for natural or processed hair as well as many, many, many options for wigs/weaves/sew-ins. The prices are great. I never feel like I could have gotten a better deal anywhere else after visiting. Most importantly though, the owners are the friendliest individuals possibly in all of Sanford. They remember you when you stop in and are just the nicest bunch of people. They treat everyone with kindness and dignity. I would not think of shopping anywhere else for my familys haircare supplies.

Joyce Summersett They are friendly but be careful when you buy a wig. I selected a wig on sale and she went behind the desk to get a bag for it. It took her a while and when I got home it wasnt the wig I selected. I couldnt bring it back because it was a sale item. Just make sure you check before they ring it up that its the wig you selected. I know better next time.

Leigha Lang Stephanie does a really good job so I want to like this place, but I have had terrible experiences 2 out the 3 times I have ATTEMPTED to get my hair done here. I drove a long way out here to have my hair done by her and no one showed up, no one answered the phone, and I couldn’t leave a voice mail. There are multiple addresses found for this business and I drove to all of them thinking maybe I had the wrong address. There are other braiders just as good and it’s not worth the frustration coming to Brownstones.

I took an Uber in the rain, arriving at the location over 15 minutes ahead of time, only to find myself waiting. Fortunately, her colleagues in the building were kind enough to inform me that she might be running late. It was disheartening to learn that her clients often experienced long waiting times ranging from 30 minutes to an hour. This experience has raised significant concerns regarding her professionalism and work ethic. It is crucial to exercise caution when considering her services, as this incident reflects a lack of regard for client communication and punctuality.

Suzzette Bruce Ive been meaning to write this review but kept forgetting. I have to give credit where it is due, Stephanie is absent amazing & is DEFINITELY the WEAVE MASTER, her skills are unmatched & her knowledge of hair is refreshing. I bought some raw hair bundles from her, I had custom colored & installed twice. This hair is out of the world, not once did it get tangled or shed. Ive never bought bundles like this before, Ive never ever taken out my extensions & wanted to put them back in before. If you dont have this type of bundles ho get you some from Brownstones Hair.

Zadith Malave Santiago The tech did a horrific job. It felt like she did not know what she was doing. Also, she took almost two hours to do a dip. The tech cut my finger and laugh is nothing she said. The manager was making excuses for her tech. Instead of offer to fix the issues she decided to charged and let it be. Bad service. Kylie DeMorse Got a gel manicure here and it came off in one day on my nails, wouldn’t have payed 100 dollars if I knew if was gonna come off in one day, gel on my toes has stayed fine so far but not on nails.

Marissa Blanchard This is my second time getting a basic manicure from Seminole nails. Due to work I am unable to have long polished nails. Both times I have gotten my nails done here they rushed through my nails & were agitated when I asked to have my nails filed again to correct the shape. Both times I’ve left with uneven, ridged nail with debris under my nails and my cuticles looking worse than when I came. When mentioned to the manager she told me they looked fine. These do not look okay and I shouldn’t have to leave & file my nails to make them even. I do not recommend.

Symplelife It’s hard to stay loyal to your nail tech here because everyone at Seminole Nails is Amazing!! I like coming here because the manager/owner is always on point!! Making sure your not waiting a long time to get service! Highly recommend to my friends and family!!!

Alicia B My friend is in town visiting and we ended up coming here to get our nails done. We called before to verify pricing and were told over the phone acrylics with regular polish is 35. When we arrived the guy told my friend she should just do a layover as she didnt want longer nails, no problem, he said this was $30 including polish. Once she sat down a worker came over and said since she picked 2 nail polish colors it would now be $40. Her polish chipped within the first hour. They didnt do any type of cuticle care or even clean under our nails. I got acrylics and opted for just having the tips painted, which as you can see the acrylic tips arent even fully covered. He didnt clean the smeared polish off the sides of my fingers, and most the lines are globbed up and crooked. I literally had to file down the sides of my real nails myself, as they were hanging over the acrylics. We had to wait 10 minutes to pay, even though when we walked up to the counter the woman in charge was already standing there, she walked away and left us waiting. We paid together (still not sure why we even paid) and the lady rudely asked if the tip was for both employees. Unless you want to spend $50 for a fresh manicure that looks 2 weeks old, I would trust the reviews. We didnt and it was a mistake.
