Srq Health and Fitness Studio I am in love with this brand!!!!!!! The extensions were amazing….AND The SRQ Hair product line is off the charts!!! My own hair has grown out so healthy and happy. The hemp shampoo made the biggest difference I think! You’ve got to get you some!! In addition, Isle listened to what I wanted. I’m on the conservative side and wanted a low key, easy feeling, low maintenance extension and that’s what I got!!! Isle is spot on in her passion ! I’m on to trying the clip in pony tail next! I can’t wait for it to come, just in time for summer !! You won’t be disappointed in this brand of hair and hair care, I promise! Jen

Brittaney Olson Isle is THE BEST when it comes to hair extension application and knowledge. I told her my goals and she delivered! Ive never had extensions before and was nervous but she made me feel so comfortable. SRQ Hair is the best quality and has been so easy for me to care for. Im also obsessed with the SRQ shampoo, conditioner, hair serum and the Lido leave-in is my favorite leave-in conditioner!! My hair has gotten so much healthier since seeing Isle and using SRQ Hair products!

Rebecca Lorenzo Isle is the literal BEST for hair extensions! I have been wanting extensions for awhile, and finally got them and I’m obsessed! I’m able to wear my hair up too, and you can’t even tell! They are comfortable and overall amazing! The hair quality is perfect and I’ve gotten so many compliments. Bill Farrand I was very disappointed with this salon. On my initial visit there, I was not greeted…they have no receptionist and everyone seemed too busy to engage. I waited 20 minutes past my appointment time before I went to find my stylist to ask if I had the appointment time wrong. Gee no, she was just running a bit late…and also needed more time to finish her current client. My would have had to wait well over a half hour and wasn’t about to do that as I had other commitments that day. I would not recommend this salon, they are not customer oriented, missing even the basic professional courtesies. They are cheap….I will give them that!! Marge

Taylor Heatherly I was very satisfied with every service I was given at queen of blonde. Unfortunately my hair stylist Juliana canceled on me 30 minutes prior to my appointment after confirming with me 3 hours prior that day. I tried being understanding and rescheduling for the following week but got no response from the stylist. Unfortunately I need someone more reliable especially having a full schedule all the time. Thankfully I found another salon locally to highlight my hair for me.

katelyn I made a last minute haircut appointment with Jena. This was my first time at JGS Sarasota. Jena did a wonderful job, exceeding what I asked for in a haircut and she gave me a great blowout. I have thick curly hair so I am sometimes unhappy with my blowouts, but she did an amazing job. Jena was super friendly and helpful. I will definitely be back for routine haircuts and blowouts!

Casey Stickel Had a lovely experience with Paige at the salon! Sometimes when you go into a salon and describe what you want, a stylist will miss the mark. Not here! Paige absolutely aced the cut I was going for (some longer layers with face framing). She also gave a great hair wash/scalp massage and beautifully curled my hair at the end. Even when my hair isn’t styled, the cut looks great on my natural texture (very wavy). Will absolutely be returning to Paige for my future haircuts! The salon had high end vibes without breaking the bank for my cut, which is the perfect balance!

Kayla Palmer The Fresh Salon ladies made me and my girls look and feel absolutely beautiful on wedding day! HMU artists Lana and Payton traveled to my venue, arrived on time, and made sure each member of my wedding party achieved their goal look. Lana and Payton were skilled, professional, and kind. We were all pleased with their work and everything lasted/held well throughout the day and night. Being an out-of-town bride, I put a great deal of trust in Fresh Salon and they sure delivered! We greatly enjoyed having them there to pamper us on wedding day.

Steve Stickel I’be been going to Fresh Salon for about a year. The front counter staff always greets me with a friendly warm welcome. My stylist Paige, does an amazing job cutting my hair. Molly Matteson Alisa is newer to Fresh Salon and I just adore her! What a great addition to this salon. She trimmed the perfect amount off and she layered my hair just as I asked. I have black fine hair and Angie was able to lift the color to exactly what I wanted with products that were clean. The cut added great shape and movement to my hair. Vilma Rivera I was blessed to have been scheduled with stylist Lee Parks. She did an incredible job with my hair and Japanese accessories. I was so grateful that she was thoughtful and considerate of me. I felt like she really cared about me and what I wanted. And she was more than willing to make sure that I was happy. It was a very special day for me and everything she did was so beautiful and made me want to cry. She has a love for styling and for makeup, I highly recommend her. I had the opportunity of meeting the owner who seems to be an incredible person who values customers as well as family. It was nice to see that she was running a business but at the same time spending a few moments with her grandchildren drawing on the sidewalk with chalk, then checking on all the customers to make sure everything was well and complimenting her stylist on the good job that they were doing. The salon/spa is an incredible cozy space with open windows that makes you feel like youre somewhere else. I quite enjoyed the laid-backness of the atmosphere without the overly Zen spa theme. I truly felt pampered. I will be coming back for more services.

Cassandra Corrado I visited Red Feather salon after finding them on Instagram. I hadnt had a haircut since November 2019, and since then my old stylist (at a different salon) had retired. I booked an appointment with Emily for a haircut, full balayage, and a vivid color, and Im SO glad I did. First of all, Red Feather is incredibly COVID-conscious, which was greatly appreciated. They asked me to wash my hands when I arrived, their staff (and all clients) were properly masked the entire time, and I watched them sanitize chairs between clients (which they have a great system for). The salon itself is beautiful and comfortable. Emily is also absolutely fantastic. I was nervous about getting started with a new stylist (especially since it had been so long since my hair was cut/styled) but she was soothing, asked great questions, and most importantly, did a fantastic job. It hasnt even been 24 hours since I left the salon and Ive already gotten countless compliments on my hair. I will absolutely be back! Im so glad I found this salon.

I love supporting local and small businesses and that is what you get with both Mary and Red Feather. I have always had a wonderful experience with my appointments, if I need to reschedule, asking questions about my coloring and the process of color. I also regularly change what I do with my hair and Mary will always guide me to make sure my hair stays healthy and this is the healthiest its ever been - even while going from dark brown to blonde. Trent Raber Jen (owner) is a true magician when it comes to hair! I have never dyed my hair before and I was really nervous about having my hair bleached. She was patient and listened to my concerns and we discussed all of my different options. She is a very personalble person. Jen and her staff are very nice and an ease to be around. During the dying process and afterwards she made sure I knew how to maintain, care for and the dos and donts to make sure my hair keeps its vibrant color the longest. Her salon chairs are some of the most comfortable chairs I have sat in. She was very conscious about cleanliness and safety. Whether this is the first time you are getting your hair dyed or looking for a rockstar stylist, this is by far the best salon in Sarasota! I highly recommend to anyone!

Its a breath of fresh air to have a stylist who explains exactly what they are doing, why, and recommend suitable hair products and styling tools for use at home (trust her on this!!). Hazel Capal I was a walk in when we were staying nearby, and was SO impressed. Salon was very well run, friendly and reasonably priced, especially considering it was in the City Centre. I was lucky enough to find Jim free, and he did a superb job. I have unruly frizzy, curly hair and he performed a WONDERFUL blow out, which kept in for a few days. Karin Elizabeth was very rude. She put her hands through my hair and said eeewww. What are you using on your hair? She was trying to sell me something and very pushy. I had much better haircuts elsewhere. Very unprofessional. Elizabeth has been fired from many prior jobs. After reading all the reviews, I think I got the worst person in there. I have nothing against the business and the other people that are getting raving reviews.

Christina Aulet Well, where do I begin? Derek and I met in Niagara Falls, NY many years ago. He styled mine and my daughters hair for several years. Before meeting Derek I wandered from one stylist to another. I couldnt find the right fit until I somehow ran into Derek and his wife Alex. Derek is kind, understanding, remains current on hair styles and spends quality time with his clients. When I found out that he was moving I was literally crushed. Fast forward to now. Twenty years later I met up with Derek in Florida. We moved about 40 miles from his salon. I was able to visit his new salon and had my hair colored, but and styled. I didnt realize how much I missed his expertise and cuts. I highly recommend Derek and his Salon. The staff is friendly and welcoming. The salon is also in a great location if you want enjoy a day of shopping and eating. Happy to back!

Laurie Fenos Pleasant and clean. Friendly. Cut with Loan based on referrral and online reviews good. Perhaps the technical aspects of the cut were good and you may have a good experience. However, I went in with collarbone length hair, explained it was recently cut, I didn’t want to lose length but needed some long layers added to my wavy hair to remove the triangle bulk effect from last cut which left hair mostly one length. Had some pics of what I’d find acceptable. Thought I was clear. I ended up with an old fashioned bob, that when dry the length is now at my jawline and I still have a triangle. My one star comes from not having someone know how to work with wavy hair that poofs with Florida humidity, not hearing I didn’t want to lose length, not hearing I wanted to get rid of the triangle but received a shorter version of it and now having hair so short I’ll have to wait 6 months to a year before I can attempt to get it cut again. I showed my sister and she laughed and made me swear not to attempt to get another cut for a long time. So it’s not just my take on it. It’s hideous, would have been better on fine straight hair and a much older person who didn’t care about having trendy hair. Now I have to pull my hair back for the next half year minimum while it grows out. From a vanity point of view, I’m devastated. I’d share pics if I wasn’t so embarrassed. But taking it in stride because there are worse things in life that could happen than a bad hair cut.

Dee Charlton Getting annoyed and worried because my Google reviews keep going to other businesses!! The Salons in the Jewel is fantastic and cutting edge. Loan (LoAnn) has been my hairdresser for about 16 years now and Ive never had a less than perfect result. Shayla gives the best mani-pedis in Sarasota. All the women here are great! Karen Balerno I am staying at Siesta Key for 6 weeks and was in need of a haircut. I looked at several places online and read many reviews. I happened to be in Sarasota with my mom and saw this salon and went in to inquire about getting a dip powder manicure and a haircut. The manager explained the services they offered there and offered a business card for a hair stylist and a nail technician and said they both were very good. I was very hesitant to have a haircut in a new salon while on vacation, but I really needed one after not having one since early December. I called a couple of days later and was able to get an appointment with Em for my haircut and Shayla for my nails. Shayla did a terrific job on my nails and she took her time and was very professional. I am very pleased with the way my nails turned out. As far as the haircut, it was honestly the very best I have ever received. Seriously, Em was really fabulous and recommended a shorter style for me, and after a little discussion I agreed. I cannot say enough about Em except she was very meticulous and detailed....a perfectionist to detail, and I could just tell that she loved her profession and took great pride in her work. I truly love my haircut and have had many compliments since. Im just disappointed that I would have to fly here to have her cut my hair on a consistent basis. I would highly recommend the Salons in the Jewel and specifically Em Samuels for a haircut and Shayla for a nail treatment. You will definitely not be disappointed with the result for the service they provide to you.

Alexis Marquess Apartment 12 and Laura are amazing. I have been going to Laura for a couple years for highlights and she does a great job. I was especially happy this last time as I went in for highlights and since I have curly hair and leave the salon with wet hair, it is hard to see the finished product when I am there. Anywho, when I got home and styled my hair myself I was expecting a bit more blonde highlight then I saw. I emailed Laura and she was so kind. She got me in within 2 weeks, which is great considering how booked they are! She added more highlights free of charge and it came out amazing. I am so happy! Thank you to Apartment 12 and Laura! Casey Stephenson Laura AND Apartment 12 is the only place I would recommend in Sarasota. Laura has been my stylist for over 15 years and I cant say enough about her talents. hmforrester I had a wonderful experience today at this salon. George cut and styled my hair. I know nothing about hair or what to do with mine. Whenever I go to get my hair cut, I always hope that someone will help me know what will look best with my hair. George was an answer to that prayer today. I went in asking for layers but he helped me understand how that would not achieve what I really wanted. He suggested texturing. He also educated me on how to maintain my hair and get more from my natural waves/curls. Ive never been so happy leaving a hair salon. I feel so good about my hair and have some new knowledge on how to better care for my hair. I also want to mention all the other staff and how warm and welcoming they are with everyone who walks through the door. Ive definitely found my home salon.

Marcia Cuttler George is a real professional in this field, an excellent Stylist and understands hair color is very individual for each client. He is very Creative, Courteous, Customer Oriented, and I always feel he is looking out for me. The staff at the front desk is always very welcoming and helpful. I would never think of going anywhere else!!!

Stephanie Reed I was in town for a few days visiting / relaxing. I asked my friend for some recommendations and was told to try Yellow Strawberry. I called up in the morning and was able to get in within 15 minutes. I came in for a trim and ended up donating 9 inches of hair. The salon was professional, clean, and very positive about the donation. Listening to other customers sitting at adjacent chairs it is obvious they are regulars so that speaks a lot to the stylists at this location.

Ive seen these boards used in more upscale salons outside of Sarasota and they seem to offer great control over exactly where the highlights are placed. I have actually experienced all 3 stylists at D Cole and would go to any one of them with full confidence. Perhaps because I have had several years’ worth of experiences at D Cole, I have that assurance that I will walk out with fabulous looking hair - but beyond that - hair that stands the test of my doing it myself. Magnificent, workable, manageable cuts. Color that seems to outlast others and that blends so well with new hair growth. Probably the best test of the salon has been the increase in compliments Ive received since I started going to D Cole 3 years ago. Of all the people Ive sent there, including friends and business associates, no one has been anything less than ecstatic with their results. I highly recommend D Cole as a salon thats not a "hair mill" similar to the ones that suggest the highest priority is profit. Listening, taking real time with each client, actually knowing the client and their preferences, and offering customized and pretty impressive consulting regarding changes or new looks characterizes D Cole as a salon that is well above average. Maybe its their communication combined with their high level of skill. They are really good at both. This is a busy place which says a great deal as well – allow yourself some time to book an appointment ahead – it’s worth it. I have been a consistently pleased customer.
