Frank Massaro I have been looking for THE place for my hair for years. This is it! When I walked in I was greeted warmly by the gentleman at the front desk .The salon is gorgeous ! Then my stylist Johnny came over within minutes with a big smile and a hug. He was so personable. I got a great cut and style and a head massage with my shampoo. Cj Hi, to preface this review I want to say the ladies taking care of me were nice and in no way am I trying to discredit them personally. I did not want to be rude speaking up about how awful the outcome of my hair was as soon as I saw it, although it was clear I was trying not to tear up. I could see on the employees face they knew they should have been more careful with my hair. Before photos were taken afters were not. $1000+ was paid. I came in with black box dyed hair that had been lightened to ginger 2 months prior. My request was to go lighter from ginger to blonde. Knowing what I know now, to put more bleach on recently bleached hair is absurd. I explained my hair history to them in depth in my consultation. I understand the difficult request, but I had no knowledge about the risks. I came to a professional salon, to people who ARE educated. It is your responsibility to turn down certain requests, be realistic about the outcomes, and care about the integrity of the clients hair. For the price and marketing of this salon I did not expect it to be an "in and out" type of service. I understood bleach would cause some damage, but this is beyond. I believe they were short staffed, it was kind of impersonal and I was left alone alot. I had no color correcting, no test strands, I sat down and they put straight bleach on my head and left it for 40 minutes while attending other clients. After, I had it washed out and I could literally feel the weight of my long ! :) hair falling into the sink. I told them I did not want a trim beyond 4 inches, or nothing at all, if possible prior. They put a toner and a mask in, blow dried it and cut even more off to blend the broken pieces. They said it, "matched my personality" and sent me on my way. The photos im sharing dont do the justice of how broken my hair is now. Its been this way since I left your salon, ive been doing non stop care for it. I brush it lightly and it doesnt fall off in one, it snaps in half. It is incredibly dry and thin. The difference in lengths and split ends is going to make growing it out extremely tedious. Im just very upset guys.. I came to you for a confidence boost during a rough time. Ive been toughing it out waiting to spend more money on extensions and now that I have them it doesnt mask the damage. Its upsetting. To whoevers reading this for expectations - just because a salon looks good on paper does not mean you should put your full trust in them. Be vigilant about your hair, ask questions, ask what theyre doing, read the room. Again, not attacking my stylist personally, just please care about the integrity of the hair over hopeful results. Communication and test strands go a long way.

Christy Lane I have been going to Monaco for some time now and I have never had a bad experience here. Klodjana is my hairstylist/colorist and recently did a color correction on my very fine and thin hair and the results were amazing! I am so happy and I now love how my hair looks. Klodjana listened to me, assessed the condition of my hair and then proceeded with a plan with how to achieve what I was asking for without any damage to my very fragile hair. After achieving the perfect color and highlights, Klodjana then expertly applied three rows of extensions and even though my hair is growing out, the extensions are not showing through at all and my natural hair is staying on good condition and not breaking or falling. To say I am happy with how Klodjana does my hair is an understatement. I have been ecstatic and was rather giddy the last time I left my appointment. I am so thankful to have Klodjanas expertise..she is highly skilled at color, and very conscientious and will be honest and strategic with you about the best plan for your hair! Another plus is that she is very kind, approachable and always professional. The entire staff at Monaco will make you feel welcome and you can relax knowing your hair is in the best of hands. I highly recommend this salon and I wont be going anywhere else!

Taegun I showed her a picture of the hair I wanted and she said okay. She cut my hair and gave me a bull cut that looks completely different from what I asked for like 0 resemblance and when I tried showing her again she wouldnt listen what type of barber can listen to her customers. Im sorry but never in my life have I been so angry over my hair like she told me oh its fine itll grow back YOU CUT IT AN INCH SHORT I ASKED FOR A CUT WHERE THE HAIR GOES TO MY SHOULDERS AND I HAD MOTE HAIR THAN THAT worst experience in my life will NEVER be coming back. Monica washed my hair and greased my scalp prior to my install. She was also very polite and friendly the entire time of service. I will definitely be back for another install.

Christine Baksh I wanted to take some time to tell everyone about Alexa. She is highly skilled and will make sure that your hair looks amazing, and exactly how YOU want it. I was wanting to go from a dark blonde to almost full platinum. She was very transparent about how we could get it there in one session, or do it over a couple sessions to maintain the integrity and health of my hair. She went over pricing with me up front to make sure she was meeting my goals within my budget. Once we started drying it, I noticed it wasnt as light as the pictures I showed her, which I was fine with since I knew it this would be a process. It was still a light, very beautiful color (I even had her write down the formula she used for another time), but she said something about it immediately. She reassured me it would be no problem for her to tone and wash it again to get it exactly the way it looked in my inspo pics. With all the foils I needed, my girl put in work that day, but it came out perfect. My hair has never looked this good. :) She is literally one of the sweetest human beings on the planet. Easy to talk to, is always in a bubbly mood, and makes it a relaxing and fun experience. You can tell she is very passionate about her work, and truly cares about her clients and their happiness. She has also installed extensions on me a few times and is always extremely gentle. I never feel sore during or afterwards. They have amazing extensions at Monaco. They never itch! The salon has a wonderful selection of Paul Mitchell and Kerastase products. All the staff at Monaco Ive spoken to have been so kind and professional. You can tell they are like family and very supportive of one another. The vibes there are so good. I cannot recommend Monaco Hair Salon enough!

To start, I have extremely thin hair and it breaks the minute I comb it or pull it back in a ponytail. The saying, “you always want what you don’t have,” has been my reality when it came to my hair. I have always been self conscious about my hair appearance especially in social media. All of my family pics consists of me wearing hats or my hair up in a ponytail. I have always felt invisible for most of my adult life until I finally decided to invest in me. I have always been a huge skeptic of hair extensions especially after 20 + years of horrific salon nightmares and people saying my hair was too thin so I never thought it was even an option.In late 2023, I started doing lots of research and visited with Monaco Salon. After two consults i did it, I made the decision to get hair extensions in December of 2023. Fast forward, that was by far the best decision I made, outside of my husband and kids. Kaysie and Laura observed and listened to me, they asked so many questions and most importantly they understood me! 18 months have passed and I can happily say I love me again, I am 51 years old and I’m finally living. Liv R Tricia started my dreads. She did an awesome job. It didnt cost me an arm and leg to get them done. She worked with me on my decision and shes really knowledgeable about the hair products to use for my hair type. The setting is nice. Im still getting used to the sign in process lol. She cares about you having healthy hair and she did a consultation with me prior to my wash/deep conditioning/blow dry/trim. The shop was neat and very clean, very quiet and laid back atmosphere. Kyacoco “Coco” I had an appointment on Saturday but I had to reschedule and they said the earliest they could do was Monday at 10am. I believe they forgot to put it in their system and so I showed up and no one was there it wasn’t even open. I stayed for an hour and still nothing so I went down the street to diamonds Dominican hair salon. I’m not that mad just really upset because I was supposed to get my hair done for my birthday :(

DK Starzyk It’s not just this business, but $25 for a man’s haircut that’s just a trim of short hair and a half bald head, and that only takes 10 minutes is ridiculous. I know the bills have to be paid, but I have to skip haircuts because it’s so expensive, especially for a senior on a fixed income. The stylist was excellent, however.

Talia Went to take my mother for a buzz cut after her hair was falling out because of chemo therapy. They took her right in and took care of her with great care and kindness. This I my regular go to Supercuts and this was just a reminder why. Great Job ladies

Natasha Ware Another review so that Tonya can remember who I am and the "unruly" hair that Ms. Brenda had to deal with. The salon was nice and the stylist was actually super sweet; she even had good reviews for doing natural hair (blowout and silk press). However, this was not my experience. I lost so much hair during the visit that I cried in the car on the way home. The breakage and heat damage is still to be determined but they are both inevitable. Its my fault for not speaking up and now its on me get my hair back to being healthy. Who combs through dry, curly natural hair? Why the separate conditioning treatment if youre going to shampoo? Why the multiple passes with a hot comb and flat iron after blow drying? It was just awful. Your response to my review(s) signals your disdain for natural hair and that you much prefer to handle chemically straightened hair. There have been significant changes in black hair care in the last 40 years and you should check out some YouTube videos on how to treat natural hair if you want to improve your skills.

I should’ve gotten up and left at the point but I read how great the reviews were so I gave the benefit of the doubt.

Prices do vary by : Hair texture , length , corseness, etc. (Not everyone has the same hair and everyone hair has different needs please take that into consideration ) they will see your hair and depending on what youd like or need to get done they will give you a price for you service. No appointments required it is first come first serve . If you have hair loss or hair damage let mrs elsa know she can examine you and provide you a natural oil treatment she will explain how to use apply it and how often. All the ladies are great they each one have their own way of doing their work and techniques as well.

A month ago I got a cut for way more and it was horrible, she has so much knowledge, she makes sure of what you want and explains her process. On the phone, I clarified I was looking to learn about my hair (maintaining patterns, protein, routines were mentioned by name) and would be willing to pay extra for a consultation and cut. They assured me a stylist would be very knowledgeable and I would be in good hands. Great! The haircut was okay, the people were very friendly and made me feel nice, and the atmosphere was very chic and industrial/boho. However. She couldnt tell me anything about my hair type. "Protein" was a buzzword; she could not explain WHY my hair needed it, how much, etc. Im gullible and bought all the products the stylist recommend. I was very happy with a few products, but when I used the hair mask, my already bleach damage hair--the whole reason I was asking for the mask--got overproteinized! The EXACT THING I asked about to avoid! My hair was breaking putting on a t shirt when it dried. I called, and they wouldnt give me any advice except to come in (i couldnt until the next day). I managed to call around and get some advice on how to SAVE MY HAIR. I still went the next day. I went in the next day and she really ARGUED with me. Maam. My hair DID NOT look "great." No matter how many times you told me it looked "great," "fine," or whatever other qualifier. This was NOT the "dryness I was worried about before." My hair never looked WORSE. The least you could do was acknowledge that and fix it without embarrassing me further! I had to argue to get a treatment, then they charged me to fix THEIR MISTAKE, and had the audacity to ASK FOR A TIP. They offered me store credit for the mask instead of a refund--like Ill EVER be back. Do yourself a favor. If you have curly or problematic hair, avoid this place. They have a great vibe for people with simple requests. The girl with the amazing colored hair is the reason I am giving two stars instead of one because she was so sweet and makes me think there is talent and knowledge there.

Amber Camacho I’m not sure who the new Venezuelan man at the salon who is cutting hair now is but do not let him cut your hair. Typically when I go to this salon it is a very pleasant experience but this time around has truly been a horror story. He cut much more of my hair that I did not ask him to do. All I asked was for a trim of the LONG layers I already had. My hair that doesn’t grow fast at all, and now I’m going to have to cut EVEN MORE to get this mess of a cut fixed. I’m very frustrated because my hair means a lot to me and to see 3 years of growth gone like that is honestly traumatizing. I unfortunately will not be returning to this salon again I don’t even know why they’ve allowed this man use scissors to be cutting hair at all.

Diamond Bayron Yami always knows just what to do without me asking. It’s always a great experience when I go in and I appreciate how quick and efficient she is. Even on a Saturday I can get in and out in a decent time without feeling like I spent all day in the salon. I always recommend when asked about where I get my hair done at!!

Patricia Rodoli First time here and I am so happy with my hair and Isabel was great and so nice to me. She was gentle with my hair and gave me exactly what I needed. I had a Botox treatment and a haircut.

Gee M Beautiful salon, and wonderful stylist! I have been a client for 6 years never really had any issues! I only go to the salon once or twice a year to get a Keratin treatment. The base treatment is $165. However due to the length of hair the charged is by the ounce, fine! Welp, I decided I would treat myself, and got my hair done yesterday. I was not told unit checkout that my hair was $350!! Sheesh!! My last visit was 9/8 the price was $250, but, I was told before anything was done to my hair, how much it would be. I agreed! Again, Judy has a wonderful team! I paid $300 thank you Judy!! PLEASE inform the client of the price before the style is started. I was definitely in a mood when I left!
