R Wil (Wil) I recently visited Shear Perfection and had an amazing encounter from which I had to tell. I was welcomed warmly and surrounded in a friendly environment as soon as I entered. I first had a really remarkable haircut. The stylist and owner paid great attention to my tastes and gave wise recommendations fit for my style. There was clear accuracy and attention to detail, which produced a haircut that was above my expectations. The Shear Perfection staff clearly is committed to making sure every customer leaves looking their best and feeling delighted. After my haircut, I had a fantastic facial from Shear Perfections new esthetician, Olivia. Her knowledge and soft demeanor made the experience rather restful and energizing. She invested time to learn about my skin issues and customized the facial to fit my needs. My skin felt rejuvenated, moisturized, and brilliant from the outcomes. The whole great experience was enhanced by Olivias kind and gentle demeanor. She made sure I was at ease all during the procedure and gave some advise on how to keep good skin. She obviously loves what she does and actually worries about her clients. My trip at Shear Perfection was really outstanding overall. Eileen M Healey I am new to town and was looking for a salon to get my hair trimmed, so I searched google and found RL Hair Services with 5 stars and more than 1 review. I went and was happy I did. Very friendly people. I was asked how short I wanted my haircut and due to me being unsure, we cut an inch to begin with and take off more if I wanted to. It is great when your hair is not just cut to whatever the hairdresser thinks. Very happy that they took walkins and the cost was less than I expected. Highly recommend.

Originally, I was interested in the keratin treatment, but Miss Foxx educated me on this amazing treatment called hair botox, so I figured Id try it. Throughout the appointment she was professional and educated me along the way on the products shes using, the techniques shes performing, and what I can do for my hair to help along my journey of growing long healthy hair. Ive never had a hair stylist so thorough, and I recommend Miss Foxx to anyone who truly cares about quality!

Janet Cole Yesterday I was saved by one of karisma hair stylist. I went in with 3 knots in my hair, I almost thought I might have to cut my hair off and have a boy look because that’s how bad my hair was tangled. Michelle did the best she could, to save my hair. After and hour of detangling my hair she treated it, Colored, treated it some more and finally rolos, hair dryer and cut. I am very pleased with Michelle and thank you to the hair dresser next to her in helping to detangle. I give karisma a 5 star because everyone was welcoming and very hospitable. I was treated very well and I am very pleased with their services.

Ashely Thomson This place is not a friendly environment to be and they have bad customer service. I had an appointment with NANCY for a wash, cut, and blow dry. Through out the process she was complaining I had long and thick hair. That is not my fault and she is a hair stylist so she should know how to deal with different types of hair. She asked me how short do I want to cut my hair and she showed me but I told her a little shorter and she flipped my hair and told me rudely to tell her how much I wanted taken off. Also, I heard her talking in their native language which I am a little knowledgeable about and I’m sure she was complaining to others about me. Overall, NANCY was very rude and does not give good customer service. I would not recommend anyone to this place.

[mr.jwashere] Without a doubt the WORST hairstyling Ive gotten ever. Made us get different hair when she damn well couldve used the ones i brought in, and it was extremely lazy and sloppy work. My twists legit started unraveling when i got out of the seat. She had the NASTIEST attitude as well, and for what because she doesn’t know how to follow instructions and looks like she doesn’t know what she’s doing. And the AUDACITY to charge 90 dollars and ask for a tip after something like that? And then to have an ATTITUDE the entire time? Lady’s a scam artist through and through. Don’t waste your time.

Cherol Doesnt know the history of LOCKS, l have free form locks, needed to re-attach some locks to the front, due to an incident that happened to me. I went to her for help, she saw my locks and immediately began to judge my locks in the most negative way, proceeding to embarrass me in front of the clients, and wanted to charge me $90 just to re attach 3 locks! I am Jamaican l have free form, and it is NOT for style , but a way of life for us! HOW DARE YOU JUDGE ME! We should be lifting each other up, not tearing us DOWN!

C Cierra (Alex) My Honest Experience with Kea at Natural Shades of Beauty Salon TL;DR: I booked an 8-hour appointment at Natural Shades of Beauty with Kea, who was late, dismissive, and rough. She ignored my requests, forced a style I didn’t like, and left my hair with product buildup. Even after I expressed my dissatisfaction, I was still charged $155. CashApp also flagged her as a potential scammer. I would not return or recommend this salon. FULL REVIEW: On February 19, 2025, I had an appointment at Natural Shades of Beauty Salon with Kea for a takedown and natural boho braids. Unfortunately, this was the worst experience I’ve had at a salon. 1. Poor Time Management & Unprofessionalism • Kea was an hour late to my 10 am appointment. • She worked on other clients while working on me, causing my 4.5-hour appointment to take 8 hours. • At 1:30 PM (over 3 hours in), she asked if she could work on another client while I waited. 2. My Requests Were Ignored • I stated in my booking notes and verbally that I wanted a natural, non-tight style, that I’m tender-headed, and that I don’t like braids on my neck—Kea ignored all of this. • When I told her I didn’t like how the braids looked, she kept telling me to “trust the process” rather than addressing my concerns. • I felt insecure throughout the appointment but was repeatedly reassured that the style would look good once finished. 3. Rough & Painful Handling • Kea pulled and yanked my hair aggressively, causing my glasses to hit my nose bridge twice. • Even though I flinched and reminded her I was tender-headed, she never adjusted her technique. • Before I left, she sprayed my hair with oil without warning, getting oil dots all over my glasses—which made driving home in the rain and dark difficult. 4. The Final Style Was Not What I Expected • The parts were uneven, the braids were stiff and cakey, and my hair felt dirty and heavy (photos attached). • When I saw my hair, I immediately disliked it and told Kea. • I felt so uncomfortable that I asked if they had a bonnet I could buy just to cover my hair before leaving. • When I took the braids out, I found clumps of product buildup that took extra effort to remove. 5. Payment & Refund Concerns • Even after I expressed dissatisfaction, they still charged me $140 (I paid $155 via CashApp). • CashApp flagged Kea’s account as a potential scam, making refunds difficult. • As of Feb 23. 2025, Kea has declined my refund request on Cashapp even though I immediately expressed my dissatisfaction and had to remove the style completely. 6. Concerning Comments • Throughout the appointment, Kea made multiple remarks about my hair texture and asked why I was insecure about my natural hair. • She also asked if my mom was white, which felt out of place. • After reading other reviews, I noticed similar complaints from past customers. Final Thoughts • This salon does not prioritize clients’ preferences or comfort. • Kea was rough, dismissive, and did not take my feedback seriously. • I would not recommend this stylist or this salon. Stay far away and take your money elsewhere.

Aisha Jones Shanice expertly crafted my Feed-in Cornrows, exceeding my expectations to the point Im excited to schedule another session with her soon. I provided her with two photographs depicting the desired style, and she nailed it! Possessing soft and loose curls, I havent found anyone who could cornrow my hair to my satisfaction since college in 2003, until now.

Judith Tinglin Nicole is master of what she does. Took my daughter to have box braids done and I was pleasantly surprised. She did a splendid job. The braids were flawless and impeccable. She was recommended and I highly recommend her. Oh shes also very pleasant, warm and welcoming. God bless you Nicole.

Sugey Vanegas Honestly, this place is only getting a three because stylist was nice all the way through. Nevertheless, my hair is a disaster. I went to get my hair from dark brown to light brown. They said it was possible. I said “I think you need to bleach it to lighten my hair, my hair is pretty dark”. She proceeded to try and do it without lightening and the result is super light brown roots and black hair. It looked terrible. She suggested highlights and I said sure, anything is better than what I had. My hair lightens just fine with the bleach and I proceed to say I want an ashy tone. When I get done it’s a mess of copper and orange tones and many shades of anything but even ashy highlights. I’m literally embarrassed to go to work tomorrow as I work facing people all day. I will not be back for any repairs. I got there at 4:30pm and left at 9:45pm and still didn’t get what I wanted. I really wanted to like this place cause it’s close to home but I have never had such a terrible outcome.

Ariel McGill I have always heard great things about Haircuttery. I used to send my cosmetology students to this business often. I had been looking for a salon to call home here in Florida since I stopped teaching cosmetology school and entered my retirement. I decided to make a few appointments to get the vibe of the salon and those who work there. I booked an online appointment on 2/9/2025 with the first available stylist. It was Rikki. I showed up to my appointment but she said she was double booked because of the online system. And the lady she originally had had a wedding to go to. So I said not to worry I would rebook. I left and went back online to find a date and time that both Rikki and I would be available because I respected that she was up front about her situation that day. I came back in for my appointment with her on 2/13/2025. When I walked in she was working with a client and another stylist greeted me. I said I was here for an appointment with Rikki. I arrived at 6:35pm for an appointment at 6:45pm. While I waited I watched her work and decided to book a full foil highlight at the end of March. At 7:00pm the stylists started asking her if she wanted them to get me shampooed for her, she said “I don’t know her, she was a request” and then she shrugged like my appointment didn’t mean anything. It was 15 minutes past my appointment so I stood up and said that’s okay, I explained I was the lady that gave up her appointment for the wedding lady. I then left and called back to get my hair color appointment with Rikki cancelled. I told them there are too many salons in Florida to act that way. I never told them I was a cosmetologist possibly looking for employment. And I’m glad for that. It is not a respectable salon. I couldn’t recommend anyone to visit.

Salon’s atmosphere was pleasant, and she worked quickly, reassuring me every step that she took. I’ll be back and am confident that she will do great! Salon also offers nail, aesthetic, and massage services.

Kemisha Jones I absolutely LOVE Kadian and her work. Everytime I go, I always have a great hair experience. The atmosphere and conversations are always heartwarming. When you sit in her chair she takes her time, is thorough and provides you with GREAT hair. I would recommend her.

Saint Eloise I went to this salon a couple of years ago and recently found photos of her work and decided to share my story. I went on my own twice for a short haircut and color. It was in different visits. I will acknowledge she did a good job the FIRST time with my cut. She fixed a cut from a previous stylist and it looked good. Mind you she was SLOW. Another issue I had with her salon, is her commentary. At times I felt shaded by her and another employee in the salon. I will damned if I pay money to be disrespected. Well the disrespect really came in when she did my mothers hair. She did a poor job on my mothers cut. She parted her hair in four sections and cut straight through without checking. She barely blow dried my mothers hair to make sure it was straight enough to be cut. As many trims and cuts as I have had, I have never heard of something crazy like this. Once my mom told me the story, I vowed to NOT go back. Of course she didnt take her time on my moms head because she was tripled and more booked. It was unprofessional given her age and time as a stylist. She wouldnt get a recommendation from me to anyone I care about or like.

Tasnim Mohamed This is one of the worst times I have ever had. First, the new place they moved to is very small and can accommodate two people at most, and there were 3 people at the time I was there. Secondly, the place was poorly ventilated, and the only way for ventilation was to leave the room door open. Thirdly, and most importantly, I did a keratin treatment at that day and it was the worst of all the times i had keratinbefore. I paid $150 for my very short, light, not very curly hair, and the result was as if I had not doneanything. After I washed my hair , it was back to how it was, wrinkled, tired, and frizzy. When I told her , she told me that I have to flat iron my hair. Why would I do the treatment and pay $150 if I still have to do flat iron to my hair. I just feel that I wasted my money You can tell that she did my hair wrong Because at the top near my scalp, my hair is almost perfect as if there was a true carrot instrument on there. However, as you go down my hair, my hair is completely the same. And you can tell that there was no keratin treatment there or that there was not . enough for there to be a difference Im highly disappointed with the service. I had three friends that were waiting on seeing the results of my hair to decide whether or not they should come here and after seeing my hair, they decided that it will be a disgrace to them if they even even Came here to do their hair. Dont waste your money or energy at this salon

Mocha Mel 2-stars is generous, all things considered. On July 21st, at the urging of the salon owner I got their "hair botox" smoothing treatment done at a cost of $250. It took about 2.5 hours and the treatment made my hair less frizzy and increased its shine and bounce, though the process clearly caused some breakage. They advised that in 3-4 months a "touch up" would be needed for new growth. So today, November 19th, I went to the salon for that touch up which took all day (11am-4:15pm) because she kept stopping my service to do other clients hair from start to finish, which itself is ridiculous and doesnt consider the customers time, however that isnt the impetus for this review. At the end of the service the stylist wrote on a sticky note that the cost was $350-- a full $100 more that the original service. What made it even more ridiculous is that this increased price was for a touch up, not a virgin application! Naturally, quite upset I asked why I had not been told of the price change prior to completing the service and the owner sought to gaslight me claiming that the price had always been $350 and that I was wrong about the price I paid for the service done in July. We discussed back and forth for few minutes and she refused to budge despite my certainty regarding the originally quoted and paid price versus the price today. Such practices are, minimally, unclear but in truth can accurately be characterized as being underhanded, misleading, and unethical. Without remedy, I most certainly will not return to this salon and intend to ensure that my extended circle of influence steers clear, as well. Also, Ive since reviewed records and message history confirming that I indeed was charged $250 for the service in July plus a tip of $50 to the stylist. I was right.

She is the BEST, I literally drive from fort Lauderdale to get my hair cut by her because I moved from Melbourne and dont trust anyone else. She listens to your wants, and always delivers. I just wanted my hair dyed a darker shade of brown and Michelle turned my hair orange, I was beyond pissed and when I contacted the owner she told me to come back in and she would fix it. Unfortunately for me again she had Michelle do my hair once more by the time I got home I was caught in a storm and the brown color faded from my hair instantly.

The price was just right for the services given, I also enjoyed that the bmmusiness was clean and relaxing even though it was busy at the time I went and l also enjoyed the vriety of products for sale in which she understands and knows about the different brands products are on the shelf for a good recommendation. Janean wagner We just had the best experience here yesterday. I brought my 3 kids in for a haircut and two bang trims. Two of which are 2 and under. The patience the female stylist had was amazing with my two littles who had never had their bangs ever cut professionally. I feel so bad I didn’t remember her name. Then Jake was amazing with my oldest son. I have never had a good directions on the best way to cut his hair but Jake took the lead and we talked about a couple different styles and let my son decide. He loved at 7 he got to feel so grown up and picking his hair style. Jake was so sweet to show me how to style it, and did awesome in talking my son through everything. It truly made his day, and I plan to come back with all the kids when it’s time for their next haircuts. I would recommend this place a hundred times over. Thank you so much for taking great care with my kids and having grace with a stressed out mom.
