S. Green This is my go to nail salon that I’ve been going to for a few years. I only allow Jenny to do my Gel manicure’s and Helen does my pedicures. I would highly recommend this salon.

Lizzie 101 Honestly, after seeing Lester’s post on Facebook, I’m super uncomfortable and won’t be going back. It’s really offensive and just full of bad vibes. You can literally feel the hate coming through, and I don’t want to be around that kind of negative energy. I felt the need to let people know before they book with him and sit in his chair. It’s just not welcoming or healthy, and I wouldn’t feel safe in that kind of environment.

Abby Hartmann Victoria did a fantastic Job! She was kind, thoughtful, patient and my hair looks SO much better than before!! She was so good that I booked her for my 18-year-olds. They also loved her!! She is our go-to!.

Dorinda Torrance I just Love Lisa. She is very kind and professional and makes sure you are very relaxed and comfortable. She uses a personal container for each person with their personal SANITIZED tools so there is less chance of cross contamination.

Katrina Lucas I have never had a worse manicure in my life. I came in for a simple dip manicure. First, the color was much lighter than the sample. No worries, I still liked it. I asked for round nails and she rounded the corners a bit, but still flattened the tips. So I asked if we could make them a bit rounder. She did, but at that point, she got so aggressive that I ended up leaving with 4 fingers bleeding. While filing down the dip, she went too far on multiple fingers and chipped off the dip. So to fix it (I think?) she grabbed the same color in gel, but this time it was much pinker. So she wiped it off and grabbed another random purple gel, as seen in photos, and did a layer of that, which was much darker than the original color. You can see the lavender dip near my cuticles, where the gel wasn’t thick enough. The right hand nail shape is still closer to square than round, and all of my nails are different lengths. Plus, the prices were about $10 higher than listed, unless she decided to charge me for the random gel coat on the top. Bizarre and painful experience.

Pearl Carr My bestie and I decided to get Christmas pedicures while our sons were walking around downtown. We were immediately greeted, and shown to our chairs. The pedicures we chose are comparable to pedicures that have cost almost double at other locations. They took their time, were friendly and professional. Our pedicures came out beautiful and we had a wonderful time. 20 out of 10 stars! We will be back.

Elle M Ive been here a couple times with my daughter. The lady is always patient with her and even put on cartoons for her to watch on the TV . Nice atmosphere never have had a long wait , we both got gel manicures and regular pedicure, hers got design after the show lady bug . Just over $100 total before tip. Will definitely be back

Yulisa Valerio PLEASE DONT GO HERE I asked for a gel she gave me dip, I asked for coffin she gave me square and they were all different shapes. I asked her several times to correct it and she didn’t, she shaved me real nail off, and on top of that she cuts back my cuticles and gives me tons of irritation. She cut me several times.I asked for French tips natural gives me hot pink, and uses a scraper ON MY REAL NAIL to achieve a clean line NEVER HAVE SEEN THAT! She also left my hands dried out with alcohol and no Cuticle oil or anything. She ruined my real nail. I would not go here to get my nails done horrible job, still paid for my horrible service as well. Waste of 45 dollars.

Jessica Arehart Let me start off by saying I LOVE THESE OWNERS and I’ve been going here for about three years. I’ve taken my oldest daughter here at times and friends. I usually only get gel and nothing fancy. I’m not sure why, but every time I go, the quality of the work gets worse. I still supported the business because they are so kind. Last week I went on Wednesday where my adult daughter met me. I got gel and she did as well. The gel was put over my cuticles, she did not even push my cuticles back, and it is peeling off where it is growing STUCK to cuticles. My daughter picked out a gel color that was dark, almost black sparkly gel. My daughter received bright red sparkly gel. It was closing time by the time she was done with us and I honestly just did not want to get into some big thing. Now my nails that were $40 are just so terrible and if I do not want to look ratchet, I have to pay AGAIN to get them redone somewhere else. I am a mom of four and it’s almost Christmas. I feel so bamboozled as a loyal customer, even when they started slipping. I just want to save another mom so that she might not decide to finally do something for herself, just to look at it everyday feeling guilty that she wasted money.

Alexandra016 It takes a lot for me to leave a Google review. I went here for a soak off. I asked for no file soak off. She proceeded to bring out an e-file even tho I specifically requested no e-file for my Soak off. I explained to her serval times that my nails a very thin and brittle and that’s why I wanted to soak off with no e-file. She got upset. She rushed the entire process and left my nails messy. I was still kind, respectful and calm the entire time. Then proceeded to try and charge me $15 for a $10 soak off. When I went to pay, for some reason my card declined and there was a reminding balance of a couple cents. I asked them to run the card again… the owner of the store began to shout at me and proceed to scream at me that I need to have money on my card. I was so shocked because I was polite and kind during my entire time the nail shop. The disrespect was unacceptable and I will not be returning to this shop. It’s not worth the stress. This is so unfortunate.

hannah tolbert A few years ago, i wouldve told you Uptown Nails was the best place to go. They always were so friendly and i would leave pleased every time. Unfortunately, this is not my experience anymore. I think they have lost many good people (not sure why) and its caused their business to crumble some what. My sister and i came here giving them another chance about a week ago. I had got a pedicure and full set by Kathy. My nails and toes looked decent and she was a sweet lady. No complaints on my end. I wasnt upset walking away. My sisters hands looked terrible. Michael had done hers. She wanted a dark blue french tip. By the time she was done, she had blue nail polish smeared all over her hands from where hed wipe the excess polish off. He had put her hands through the UV light already since the nails were gel. So we couldnt just get it off with polish remover. Her french tips were half way down her nail making them not look so pleasing. We had paid a total of $165. My sister was so upset about her nails after leaving so we called to see if we could come back the next day to get them fixed. They allowed it. Next day we come in, you can tell their attitudes were high. They ended up just painting her whole nails blue. And were able to get the excess polish off. Its been a week now since weve gotten them done. My nails are now lifting off my fingers. Ive already had to glue one back on. Ill never go back to uptown nails. $165 for nails to last a week and to have to come back the next day to fix a disaster. Just wanted to put this out here before you end up like the rest with paying a good amount for a terrible service

Tasha Matney STAY AWAY! I went for a pedicure and a fill. I was there from 1215-345 pm. I came in the down and was greeted. They sat me down for a pedicure and they attended to me quickly. My pedicure took about 30 min - no complaints. I sat down for my “fill” The lady took 45 minutes JUST to file my nails. I wanted a simple almond shape with a little sharpness to it and black. I wanted a design but after sitting there for almost an hour with only having her filed my nails, I was over it. She tore my cuticles all apart, repeatedly after I asked her to please be more careful. I wasted my entire afternoon sitting here getting TERRIBLE nails. And still being charged 100$+. DO NOT go here!

alli New customer here, absolutely loving Alina Nails! I went to get a new set of acrylic nails with gel polish and a design. My nail tech was Mindy and she is an absolute artist! She did a phenomenal job on my nails. She is so sweet and makes great conversation while providing excellent service. She has a very light hand and took very good care of my cuticles and nail beds. The acrylic is not too thick, but thick enough it will not break. I had tips put on (except for the thumbs, those are the natural length) and all the nails are straight and the same length. The French tips look like they are press ons made by a machine with how perfect she did them! With this being my first time here, time will tell if there are any issues with breakage but I highly doubt Ill have problems (Ill update if I do). The whole process took about 45 minutes (typical in my experience for a nail appointment). Price for this visit was $75 as it was a new set with a bit longer tip length, acrylic, gel, and had a design. Very satisfied with this price for the service and quality that I received. The salon as well is a fantastic environment. The owner was walking around ensuring that all of the customers were satisfied and ensuring all his staff had what they needed. By the looks of it Ill be running back in two weeks for a fill! 10/10 first time experience.

Tara S Sad to write this. Used to have really good service here. Went in today to get a French pedi, I usually go to Hannah who is amazing but I had to be quick and couldn’t be there for 2 hours today so I asked if I could get someone else to do it faster LOVE Hannah but she is on the slower side because she takes her time. I sat there in the chair for a while because no one wanted to take me (like 5 people were sitting around when I walked in) then the woman I got was so rude, didn’t even say hi, very aggressive. I should’ve just got up and walked out right there, everything was like an argument with her and I didn’t want to argue. Anyways, the French picture I showed her she couldn’t do so I just asked for a nude color and it looks bad. I just wanted to get out of there because I felt very uncomfortable. Unlike any other time before. Sad but I won’t be going back because I felt very uncomfortable. Usually a great experience but this is the 3rd time something has happened and before it’s fixed but this time it wasn’t. The lady who serviced me was named Tina - do not recommend Tina. I tried posting a photo of the work but can’t seem to find how to do that

B M Be prepared to hear alllll about it if your natural nails arent perfect before you get them done. As someone who uses my hands for work and cant always make them look pretty before paying someone to do so, Ive grown tired of the employees comments every time I come in and will not be returning because of it. They wont just tell ME how bad my nails look; theyll also tell each other in front of me. Horrible customer service.

Danielle Brangaccio I’ve been trying nail salon after nail salon trying to find a place that takes care of my nails, keeps them strong and paints them beautifully and you’d think that is too much to ask for but The Nail Shack checks all boxes! The only low review on here is because the owner is booked out weeks in advance but that is because she really is that good! Trust me, it’s worth getting that appointment! Love love love my nails!

Marina Kacir This is a luxury nail spa that has a variety of services and talented nail technicians. I received excellent artistry from Nam! His attention to detail and artistic ability is very impressive. He delivered 1000%. My nails look exactly like the inspiration picture. There was another technician next to us practicing a design, which is appreciated and tells me the staff here is passionate about what they do. Can’t wait to try a pedicure, as the chairs looked really upscale. Thank you so much!

Dana Long If I could give 0 star I would. Man didnt even look at my nails while he was doing them and too fast didnt ask how I wanted them and cut them too short and didnt do acrylic right and uneven nails. They look horrible and I wont be back.

Michelle Auxier Eric is the so called tech that did my pedi and on my toe instead of trimming my toe nail skin he proceeded to pull it out after me ouch, ouch, ouch several times. It bleed bad. My daughter even acknowledged he made her bleed. With no response from anyone. Amazing Pedicure w/ french tips not so amazing.

Chai I asked for some pink and orange nails with hibiscus on them instead I got dots and line for the hibiscus and dots all around the lady spent a hour shaping my nails and the whole time I was in pain she made my nails look weird and nail polish was messy and messed up my cuticle and didn’t even do the nails right and took a hour and a half to do them. The pink nails is what I got the pink and orange is what I wanted. Had to go with the pink cause it would have been a extra 20 minutes for a different lady to do the ombré.

mindi woliver This place is terrible. I went to get my nails done today in the lady was rushing through it and even when I was telling her the places that there was holes on the side of my nails she refused to fix them and said that the color would cover it and she also left white acrylic all over my fingers. You would think that when youre spending $80 to $100 on nails they would be more attentive to you. I do not recommend this place at all. This is literally the worst experience Ive ever had getting my nails done.

Holly Parrish Went in for a gel pedicure and full set dip. My pedicure was good up until the color. The tech made sure to mention at least 3 times how small my toe nails are and then proceeded to use that as an excuse for the gel looking like it did. Then to my dip full set, I have smaller than normal adult finger nails, but she made sure to mention it every time I said something or use that excuse for everything! Including why my acrylic nails are crooked and not evenly shaped. I repeatedly asked her to fix their shape. She would barely put any pressure while shaping. I told her a nail was completely crooked and instead of removing and fixing it, she left it. We went back and forth about which nail needed what. In the end she still kept saying its my nails conditions is why they are messed up oh and that I kept mentioning to her the issues, that I should have waited till the end and there would have been no issues. I read great reviews on Facebook about this salon, but Im guessing I got the one not so great techs. These pictures are less than 24hrs after.

Andrea Foster I came in with frumpy feet and left with the kind of pedicure that makes you want to show your toes off like theyre about to make bank on Only Fans. The technician was like a foot whisperer – banishing calluses & polishing to perfection. Despite my kankles, those puppy toes look amazing in gel 267!

R Justin (MrPuggerson) Lynn was amazing. I got talked into joining my partner and parents for this and it was a blast, definitely better than I would have expected as I’ve never done this before. Got a pedicure and leg massage while hanging out in a really nice massage chair and got treated like a king. It was amazing and I’m hooked, can’t wait to go again!

Alicia Byrd Everytime Ive been here Ive been charged a different price for the same service. I keep my receipts because the price is literally whatever they make up that day. Today I went in & got a color change (no pedicure) on my feet & a manicure with gel. No acrylics or tips or anything on my hands. I paid $71. $71 to change colors on my feet (from white to white) and hands. I will never go back or recommend. The guy began ringing me up, told her I didnt get a Pedi etc but yet she charged me the same price.

Clo Godreau Brian is AMAZING with acrylic nails! I havent been this obsessed over my nails in a while! The shape, the thickness, the interaction was great. Pedicure was just alright and done by another lady. I feel like we paid for extra massaging and didnt really get it, and my feet werent pumiced properly after the callus remover, but it was fine overall! Still pretty good.

Susan Lee Hays-South My mother and I visited the Nail Bar at 6551 North Orange Blossom Trail, suite 213, in the Publix Stoney Brook Hills Village, Mt. Dora without an appointment this Sunday afternoon. They are south of Renningers flea market and north west of Zellwood. We had a very pleasant time and an excellent pedicure with an orange and sugar scrub, soak, steam, massage and manicure (we requested just a minimum clip and file with clear polish coat). Hannah and Tracey were very professional, kind, thorough and careful. We both loved the experience! The salon is quiet, large, nicely decorated and extremely clean, including the restroom. There was very little chemical smell, good air quality. It was very relaxing and looked great. Well be back again.

Miss Bentley I’d highly suggest you go elsewhere if you are capable! Although they did accomplish giving me a deluxe pedicure, I was in and out of there in 30min tops! (I’ve had pedicures before & they generally take 45 min minimum). I’m guessing they was trying to rush me out of the way for all the regulars that they have that time of day…? Or perhaps it was because I declined the option for Gel Polish. (Which I had to decline with practically all 5 employees working today)! Whatever the reason, I should have been able to relax & enjoy the services I was paying for. I left disappointed & looking like a child painted my nails. I won’t be back if I can avoid it!!

Margo Fenlon One of the worst manicures I’ve had - which is so unfortunate as this is my family’s favorite place to go! Two hours for a regular pedi and gel mani. Made my toes bleed after cutting cuticle too deep and then put acetone on it. Nicked every one of my fingers, filed it down to the bone (I came in with long, 2 week mail growth and came out with nubs) … and then this is what it looked like after I asked for the tech to clean the edges up a bit(!) Their prices are some of the best in the area, $55 for both services together, but this tech in particular did not do well at all.

Joanna Dodd Not a bad place. My nails could have been done a little bit better also my pedicure. Reason being is my pedicure I came home and I still had dry skin on them. My nails I still have some nail polish on my finger tips wasn’t cleaned up properly. I know it’s all small stuff but when you pay $70 for nails and pedicure it should be done a little better. They’re still beautiful it’s just me being picky.

Karla Diaz Amazing pedicure done today by the owner didn’t get her name , but she did a wonderful job. She did a deep clean pedi , followed with hot stones and an outstanding massage. She was very polite and took her time. This is the first time ever out of all the places nail salons I’ve gone through that was ver detailed and perfection.

Jessica Marie Dont go here, staff is very rude! Walked in and inquired about a brow waxing. I was advised by a man behind the desk who seemed like he was watching tv to sit and wait mind you it was only another lady staff doing a pedicure. I waited for awhile then asked the guy was I waiting on the lady staff doing the pedicure. He stated something about the wax lady doing someone else Im assuming however was unclear of what he said. Then he proceed to say if you dont want to wait you can leave. So I said you dont have to be rude just asking how long it was going to be and left, I will never return again.

Linda Schick We are only here for a few weeks but my nails were definitely needing some attention. I got an appointment with a 1 hour notice. Unfortunately, I still had to wait a bit. My nail tech, Cathy, was absolutely amazing. She is a fascinating person with a great story. She is also an amazing nail tech. She was absolutely worth the time it took to get started. I showed her a photo of something I liked but I wanted different colors. She did exactly what I wanted. If I were going to be in the area longer, I would choose her again and again. Prices are reasonable in comparison to what I have paid elsewhere. The massage chairs are nice and have several settings to choose from. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

G Rodriguez 10 out of 10 dont recommend. Walked in with design and they couldve said they couldnt do it but instead they sat me and started. The woman recommended dip saying it was much better. Not only was it l over my fingers but the shape was sloppy. Some nails had spots without color and others were not shaped right. I tried going matte black but it showed how truly awful they were so asked them to make it shiny and ended up with something totally different from what I wanted. I cant believe they would let anyone walk put like that. Now I have to find another salon to fix it. I will never go back.

Tanya Smith The lady that I had just left me soaking to do a pedicure and someone else had to finish my nails because I was complaining and the lady that finished my nails wouldnt let me wash my hands and the acetone that I was soaking in was all over my hands and then she takes the hot rag and wipes my hand off like thats suppose to take ot off. And she was rushing because one of her clients was waiting to get her nails fixed. Very disappointed! And they were pricey! Ive been to better places and this was my first time. Not ever again.

Kailee Guarro I went in for a simple pedicure. There was only one person there working for over 45 minutes. I waited until a gentlemen was done doing a manicure, but while waiting, he didnt prep a chair or share a booklet for colors when I asked. It was about 15 minutes before anything happened, and he was really sweet but the service quality wasnt there with the staffing. I asked many times to make sure I got the right polish, and he went to choose a color to put underneath. I asked for pink and he brought back red and coral. I went with the coral to try to be nice, but hr was very sloppy with both the base coat and the glitter. The overall service wasnt worth $40 and I wont be returning. I did thank him for his time and tip, but if theres only one person working- save your time and walk out.

Jodi Mikel Seabrook I never go anywhere else to get my nails done! Every time I go, I’ll specifically call ahead to ask for the owner, Ken. I’m super picky about the shape of my nails, and Ken absolutely “nails it“ every time!! The entire staff is extremely friendly, and they seem to know me every time I go there. The first time I stopped in was almost 2 years ago— the first time my husband’s daughters visited Florida and met me for the first time. I brought all four of them to the shop and we had a fantastic time doing nails together! I’ve been getting my nails done here regularly now since my boyfriend (now husband!!) and I started looking at rings. I wanted my nails to be in great shape when he popped the question! I had perfect nails for my engagement, and of course, I came back from my wedding, and even my honeymoon! Ken and LV nails have been with me from the proposal all the way through my wedding and honeymoon, so of course, they are like family!! Super clean, good prices, great tools, and all of the latest trends in nail designs and products. I recommend them every time someone compliments my nails. Definitely the best work in North Lake County. Make sure to try them before going anywhere else!!

Marian C. Findley I took my daughter for her birthday, our first visit, it wasnt the best starting off. As I explained to the tech I only wanted for my 6 year old a basic manicure pedicure, they kept trying to get me to put gel on my 6 year olds nails. On top of that the tech hot up set when I told her no, and for my daughter I told her to use a little pink and showed her the colors, this lady switched the color without asking me. I dont appreciate how she got upset and was rude and could use some customer service training. I dont plan to go back.

Raven 100% recommend. they were very accommodating with how sensitive i am (no cutting cuticles, ect) and also patient with my ignorance. i ended up getting exactly what i was imagining, just didn’t have all the terms to verbalize it. for anyone curious- it was acrylics, not dip, and they’re almond shape. the length he just cut to preference. color was #214 i think? i hope anyone else who stops in is equally satisfied!

Lynn Pridgen I LOVE this place my girlfriend and both come here to get our nails done. The inside always looks clean and fresh…. The staff is amazing, they are friendly, attentive, accommodating and truly listen to what you want. I’ve NEVER been disappointed - I get acrylic and they stay on my fingers - no chips no separating they look gorgeous until I go in to change my colors. T does my nails - He’s quick, efficient, and does an amazing job each and every time I go in. This place is awesome!

My partner got a pedicure and the owner was so knowledgeable since he has difficulties with ingrown nails. So welcoming and friendly and really careful execution. Came in from out of town and will definitely return for future visits!!❤️

I went with his recommendation for my nails and love them!! The pedicure was relaxing and the massage was amazing! Customer service was on point! And pricing was way very reasonable for the services i got! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I give them 10 stars, it was last minute and T got me in ASAP and Hannah did an amazing job with my nails. Paying close attention to detail and what I wanted, she nailed it on the nose ❤️ Im so happy I finally found a nail salon that actually cares. Atmosphere was very friendly and family oriented. I will definitely be going back here for sure ☺️

Lilly Cowart I I just got my pedicure done 2 days ago and was the worst I ever had. The lady was rude and took 10 minutes to get done, I have lots of dead skin around my nails she doesnt clean around the nails, I paid $25+tip $5

Brandon Green LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Recently had a horrible experience at my usual salon and stumbled across this gem! Everyone is super nice and friendly. Been a few times now and they are very consistent in their care and services. Everyone is great but I am very partial to Jenny! She’s amazing. Fast, fun and very creative. She listens to what you want and she’s honest. Sometimes I want her to use a certain color and she will recommend a better option if mine is too light or won’t look good. She also does freehand embellishments and designs. AHHHHHHHmazing!!! Highly recommend this place!!!!

I walked in, was greeted quickly, and received a beautiful fresh fill and color change. Thanks for always doing a fantastic job! The only place Ill go for my nails.

Ashton Walton “Bad customer” of today. This is what my sister walked out of the store with on 3/27. Her fingers were also bleeding from how bad Ella cut her skin. She called today asking for them to get fixed or get a refund. They told her come get them fixed. Ella had an attitude and proceeded to make her skin raw and in pain my sister pulled back and told her multiple times she was hurting her. She asked for them to be removed and for a refund. Ella agreed. Still being rough she kept hurting my sister so she kept pulling back and complaining of the pain. The nail tech Ella response was “do it yourself then. I can’t fix them if you keep moving when I try to” and tossed the nail file at her. So yes, there was vulgar language as there should’ve been. The tech then called the cops to have her trespassed and did not give the refund. The fake reviews on today is laughable. Pictures do not lie.

Jillian Clausen DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP. I’m sorry but I came in with my sister to get acrylic nails done. It was a great place but the nail tech I got absolutely rushed through getting my nails done. I showed her a picture of what I wanted done (cow print) and instead of getting the square nails, which it shown on the picture instead I told her I wanted to do coffin. It told her 45 minutes to get done with my nails just to have them all to have different shaped and not fully painted. Like I love the design and all but if I’m going to pay $60 for a full set then they should all be the same shape and sized correctly. My sisters nails took 2hrs and looked amazing all the same shape, nails fully covered, beautiful design. I wish I stuck with the place I normally go to instead of trying a new place. Also word to the wise if you take a walking knowing you had someone scheduled close to the time the walking came in don’t take the walk-in

Shannon Houstoun I have been using this Nail company for awhile. Happy with services and have recommended them to others. A week ago I had my nails done in dip. They lasted 5 days prior to beginning to crack. I have never had this happen before and usually can ware my nails for 3 weeks. It broke 3 of my natural nails. Mind you, I was in a conference all week and not doing anything to damage my nails. They did not even apologize that it happened. So disappointed.

Tasha Matney Absolutely the worst pedicure experience. Not sure if it was the girls first day or not. Started off bad. Water almost overflowed, she tried to scoop it out with a dirty bucket and got water all down the back on my pants. She cut my toe nails so short they’re all red and bleeding. Then, contributed filing my bleeding toenails for an hour. I came here for a full set and a pedicure and walked out immediately after my service was finished. I paid, of course. But never will be back.

Phyllis Dallinga The pedicure is excellent. Everything is nice & good service. The whole place needs a complete deep cleaning. Ceiling fans down to scrubbing the tile. So after 2 years. Looking run down The table you dry your nails on needs to be cleaned. So, question sanitary conditions.
