Geraldine Davila I recently visited Archer Nail studio expecting a professional and satisfactory experience. Unfortunately, thats not what I got. I got booked with an inexperienced nail artist who didn’t do what I asked for, hurted me really badly, took 3 hours and didn’t finish her job. They made me pay, promising they will redo it for free next time since I was rushing for an international flight. I was surprised when I called the salon 1 week after coming back from my trip, and walked all around with bloody sticky uneven awful nails, the owner told me he wasn’t gonna fix it for free because it was a long time and he didn’t know about it. It was after I left a google review that he called me and made me remove the review if I wanted them to fix my nails, I accepted it because I was not going to lose all my money. I went there again for my nails to be fixed with another nail artist, this time it went well. I was very happy at first but just 4 days after my appointment, my nails are already chipped, and even broken! I paid for a service (acrylic) that it’s supposed to last for at least 2 weeks! that’s why the higher price. When I politely brought this to the owners attention, I was met with a rude and dismissive attitude saying he wasn’t gonna repair them and I have to pay. To make matters worse, when I asked about their guarantee policy, I was told they offer 2 days guarantee on their work. Thats unacceptable for a business in the service industry. Needless to say, I will not be returning to this place and would advise others to think twice before visiting. Poor customer service and lack of accountability for their work is not worth the risk.Ive tried contacting the salon to express my concerns, but they havent responded. Its clear that customer satisfaction is not a priority here.

Justyna Wileczek Booked this place based on reviews, but am extremely disappointed with the “dip manicure” I got. My appt was at noon, nails began to chip and lift at 7pm (not even a slight exaggeration). Honestly the worst manicure I ever got, don’t waste your money.

Vanessa Yepes Moon and Stars is hands down one of the best nail spas in Fort Lauderdale that I’ve been to! The space is always clean, they have an amazing selection of colors, and their pedicure massage chairs are THE BESTTT, so relaxing! But what keeps me coming back is Vicky. She is truly incredible! My nails have never been healthier, and every set she does is perfect. Whether I get them short or long, square or almond, she always makes sure they look flawless. She also takes the time to understand my style, she knows I love nude and neutral shades and even went out of her way to mix two different colors to get my perfect shade! Her attention to detail, skill, and care for nail health are unmatched. If you’re looking for a talented nail tech who will consistently give you the best results, I can’t recommend Vicky enough!

Kristine Kopreski 1st time trying Moon and Stars, from the moment I walked in I liked the vibe. Busy place but not super loud and felt relaxing, not chaotic like many salons. The staff was welcoming and very friendly, plus there was no strong chemical smells which I really appreciated. KitKat was very funny but listened to what I wanted. Im happy I tried it and will definitely be back! Thank you!!

I exclusively use Dazzle Dry because it’s the healthiest option for nails—it doesn’t require filing for removal like gel polish and offers exceptional longevity with a flawless finish, far surpassing traditional polish. Vicky’s expertise in the Russian manicure technique ensures meticulous cuticle removal while dry, a method that requires both precision and extra time for the best results. I love this spa because they prioritize top-quality products and employ skilled manicurists who are dedicated to their craft, taking the time to perfect every detail.

Liz Hernandez Ana has been taking care of my familys feet and hands for about 20 years. There is no other place I trust. She is never rushed and always committed to the results. Ana does the best pedicure in town!!!! Hand manicures, dip, and art vary with what you want. Ask the front desk who they recommend for the particular manicure you desire. Some stylists are more accomplished than others with dip versus gel versus artwork.

Juan-Leigh Meyer I had an acrylic fill done by T. She works super fast, yet is a protectionist. They look so beautiful and natural. She explained that all technicians are trained by the same person, so results are consistent - not usually what you find in nail salons. From start to finish it was a great experience. Thanks Cool Nails, I’ll be back soon. All staff are very polite and professional.

L. L. I am not satisfied. I had a simple gel removal done on my own nails and a manicure for $35. Look at the picture and decide for yourself what you think of the result. I made the picture just a moment after the treatment. The young lady who did it couldnt understand me at all because she didnt speak English. Instead of filing my nails, as I think a professional should do, she dipped my fingers in a solution that smelled strongly of acetone for at least half an hour and whiled away her long wait on her cell phone. There was no glue to remove from my nails. I had overgrown but neatly done nails. It didnt feel good at all. The nails didnt come off and my skin became pale and very very dry. I told her that my fingers didnt feel good in the solution, but she just kept pushing my nails in and smiling. In the end it took her over an hour. She would have been faster with filing. I was also disappointed that she didnt master the standard of a manicure in a nail salon. The surface of my now dry nails was finally roughly filed and then left porous. My nails were all different lengths after all, as you can see. I told her several times that I want my nails very short. And even the obviously bored lady with glasses at the checkout didnt say anything after seeing my nails. She wasnt friendly either.New customer voucher cannot be redeemed the first time.

Alexis Alexander I’m giving this salon 2 stars despite the quality of the nail set due to poor communication and customer service. I always call ahead to confirm pricing before booking at new salons, and I was told a full set French tip with a regular pedicure would be $105 total. However, when it was time to pay—without the pedicure, since I had to reschedule—I was charged $70. When I questioned the price increase, I was told it was because I got dip powder (which I never requested) and a removal fee. The only additional charge I expected was the $5 removal fee, not a jump from $55 to $70. The receptionist acknowledged the miscommunication and apologized, but the manager was dismissive, which ultimately led me to not even schedule the pedicure and return. I don’t appreciate when customers are penalized for a salon’s mistake, especially when the service itself was already lackluster. I won’t be back.

Ashley Melendez My visit at Avaline was off to a great start during my pedicure. I love my pedicure and would have gone back just for that alone but what diminished my experience was how long it took to get my nails done. I had been there since 3:30, finished my pedicure around 4:30 and sat past 7 getting basic French acrylics. For the amount of time that it took and the amount of times the nail tech said she sees everything and wants them to be perfect, I expected my nails to be amazing. I was exhausted from sitting in that chair and was ready to leave, after leaving and looking my nails over I see the clear coat is uneven, under my nails has excess acrylic, nails are curving and honestly don’t like the length or shape of my nails. For the amount of money and time spent here I would have liked to have a relaxing time and the nails I would be happy to show off. If it weren’t for me having to travel the day after I would have gone back to get it fixed but now I will just be cutting them off.

crystal noelle I had a pedicure done, they didnt try to upsell the pedicure which I would have done the parfin wax with it if I had known they offered it. The gel paint on my toes I was not satisfied not all. My nails they started wifh one tech who put the tips on and she put on multiple nails crooked the second tech did her best to work with it but I didnt like thst the had me switch during the middle for the other nail tech to get her nails done. Just didnt seem professional. I had to come home and file my nails alot because they where still bulky and not exactly what I was looking for as far as shaping goes but I didnt want to be so difficult as I already made alot of request to the 2nd nail tech . And I knew Id be able to file them to my liking myself at home. They made sure my daughter was content while I got my nails done. The offered water and a phone charger . My issue is that the nails do not flow they are different shapes and lengths and I had to do alot of work at home to get them closeness in shape. Some nails had a curve to them and some were more bulky and longer than others. Im not going to even post my nails becuz Im really not happy with how bulky they look in the pictures

Gwen Jeffers Lyn always does a phenomenal job. Techs check in with you throughout the process to make sure you love how everything looks. I’ve never had to wait super long even as a walk-in. They even have a boba bar, and will serve you the best Vietnamese iced coffee while you’re getting a pedicure.

Mo’ Brian, who seems to be the manager, was not listening and contradicting himself when I expressed that they did not fully take off the nail glue from my pervious gel tip set. I showed him my nails, and he was, at first, in agreement, that there was nail glue. I had went to get my nails done with them for a plain manicure, no polish or top coat, as I was wanting my nail beds to breathe. Brian agreed to have someone else to buff out and take off the nail glue. They had me soak my fingertips in alcohol, I asked if they could individually wrap them, he said, “oh no, you don’t need that”. I soak them, and Kathy, starts to just buff around the edges of my nail, when the glue was on the entire nail, not just the edges, she then puts cuticle oil on and tells me to wash my hands. I tell her, there is still glue, you did not take it off. She insists “that’s just your nail” when I know for a fact, and Brian himself stated, it was glue. I go to Brian and express my concerns. He stated, “oh no that’s just your nail. I have been doing nails for 20 years, trust me, it’s your nail” I said “Brian, I have had my nails for 32 years and I know what nail glue looks like” he said “I don’t recommend taking off the remaining of the glue, as your nail is so thin” I said “Brian, so you’re saying, that there is nail glue still on my nail. What happens if I would have came for a fill or a new set, would you leave the old glue or take it off?” He gets visibly upset and says “okay fine, sit down, I’ll buff out the glue, but your nails will be really thin” I said “Brian, I don’t trust any of you touching my nails as a moment ago, you said, it’s just your nail, now you’re agreeing it’s glue. I paid $19 for them to botch my nails. I do not recommend this place at all. Here is a visual of the active glue, after they said they “fixed it”

P If you want one color dip then this salon is ok. but I don’t recommend getting french here if you want all your nails to look the same. French tip was first dipped crooked, at an angle instead of straight. I could see all the different layers overlapping at different spots. then when I asked for it to be fixed, instead of removing it, they added more and more coats and it just looked worse. Very thick and blobby. Pretty unhappy with the final result costed over $70. I do not want to come back and pay even more to get it fixed, please REFUND me. I am going to a different salon to get this completely removed and redone.

Tish Szkabarnicki I am so happy I found my South Florida nail salon! VERY clean, the owner lets fresh air in often. Brian and Kathy always take such good care of my nails! Both are perfectionist and I’m very picky on nail shape. It’s hard to find someone that can do coffin shape properly. My husband also enjoys pedicures here too. Also, love the simple online booking system!

Rosie, Athaliah, Natalie, and Ivette are all wonderful and always make me feel welcome and leave feeling beautiful and refreshed. The environment is inviting and calming and the quality of products and work is top notch.

Kate Konecny Em Nail Lounge is a rare gem in Fort Lauderdale. I’ve been seeing Rosie, the owner, exclusively for the past 6.5 years. Not only does she do fantastic work as a nail tech, she keeps the salon in immaculate condition. The salon has a true community feel that is hard to come by in a world of salon suites. All the women who work here- Athaliah, Natalie, Yvette- are so kind and have loyal clients. It’s such a treat to go in every appointment and see familiar faces in both techs and clients. Every appointment is truly such a pleasure. I’m so thankful to have found Em Nail Lounge ❤️

Christie Gingras The ladies here are so sweet and fun. Everyone does amazing nails and some do design. My pedicure last until the next time I go. We did holiday nails this time and I absolutely the bows!! My friend loves the chrome. They have so many colors to pick from. High recommend, they take walk ins as well.

It’s a clean and friendly environment where all the ladies who work there make you feel so special while you’re getting your nails done. The place is absolutely thriving under the amazing leadership of new owner Rosie Tran, an absolute gem of a nail tech but an even better person, who has been doing my nails for 5+ years…I’d follow her to the moon if I had to. You won’t be disappointed walking in or booking an apt here. 5 big stars.

Ilene Rothman This was my first time getting my nails professionally done beyond a basic manicure. I let Kevin know this when I walked in for my appointment and he very generously walked me through the whole process and answered all of my questions. I got a Pink and White Ombre Dip Powder done with extensions and my nails looks gorgeous. I am obsessed with them and plan on getting them done regularly here. Kevin is a perfectionist and worked meticulously on them. He made sure that I loved the color and the length. They have never looked more beautiful. I cannot recommend this nail salon enough.

Alexis Quittner Kelly is the best. She can do anything you want. I have a hundred pictures of the beautiful nails she’s done for me and I’ve included a few, but once my daughter asked if I could get her avocado stuffie that she sleeps with on my nails and I brought it to Kelly and she did it.

sophia kessler It took me 20 minutes to get seated, I made an appointment with Felix but they just sat me with someone else. in total, the service took 2 1/2 hours and my pedicure is very poorly done. My manicure is OK and the person who did my nails was very nice but not skilled in painting nails. I would have asked for someone else to do my nails but the service just took so long and i couldn’t save time to stay there anymore.

Lori Hindsman I love Apogee Nails Spa! I have been going there since they opened! Bee does my pink and white gel and Kayla does my pedicure and nail art on my toes. They also give you a hot stone massage on your calfs as part of the pedicure. Theyre prices are very reasonable.

I’m quite picky when it comes to filing, and most techs don’t file the sides evenly if that makes sense? When getting almond I feel where it starts to curve they don’t smooth the whole nail together so I always have to ask but here I didn’t have to do that so I’m very happy :-)

Cheryl Abreu Came in for a pedicure. They greeted me straight away and I was seated moments later. My nail tech was good, but just lacked a little extra umph and for that reason I couldn’t give 5 stars. Still overall good service and my feet look better than when I walked in which is the point, right? I’m not mad. Almost fully satisfied. They also have a cute doggy in house. Love that perk! I see they do great services as far as gel nails so I’ll be back to try that and update my review at that point.

Peggy G Disappointing Experience at Ultimate Nail Salon I recently visited Ultimate Nail Salon in Fort Lauderdale for a full set of gel nail tips, and I was extremely disappointed with the service and results. My appointment was on a Tuesday, and my nail technician, Andy, assured me that the tips he applied were properly sealed. However, I immediately noticed a concerning gap between my natural nails and the tips, raising worries about water getting in and potential fungus. By Friday, one of my nails split in the middle. I returned to have it redone and expressed my concerns about the lack of sealing. Again, Andy reassured me, but by Saturday, another nail had broken nail and the side edges were lifting off went back and insisted on having the tips removed due to the water getting underneath them and the lifting edges. The salon has a posted 10-day guarantee, but when I spoke to the manager, I was met with excuses—apparently, I wasnt a good candidate for tips due to the shape of my nails or because I do a lot of typing for my job. Ive worn nail tips for half my life without issues, so this reasoning was ridiculous they took no accountability for how the nails were applied in the first place. I was told to switch to a powder manicure instead, but was told I needed to speak to the owner. After discussing with her, she offered to do it for half price. I refused, as I had just paid $85 for tips that caused me nothing but problems she ultimately did them for nothing but, I still lost money because they weren’t as expensive as the Gel nails I urge others to be cautious when considering services at this salon. My experience has left me frustrated and dissatisfied. Please see the attached pictures of the results.

Allison Fuentes Tiffany is the best nail tech I’ve ever been to! She’s super talented, pays attention to every little detail, and always makes sure my nails come out perfect. Whether I want something simple and classy or a fun, intricate design, she nails it (pun intended) every time. On top of that, she’s so sweet and easy to talk. If you’re looking for someone who truly cares about their work and their clients, Tiffany is your girl!

Skylar Walling Went in for a quick acrylic fill. They ended up using gel to fill in when my previous was powder. The lights they use are way too hot. When I said something he said "yeah ow put back in" it felt like my nail was being fried off. It was painful. My cuticle needed push back but that didnt happen. And my nails are different shapped. Some round some pointy. I didnt feel like sitting there any longer to get them fixed. Wont be back if we are in town again.

Sandra Sharkey I’ll only go here for my builder gel! They’re all so nice and friendly, great calm environment, and they always do an amazing job. I’ve gone four times now for builder refill and it looks perfect and lasts a long time every time.

Gwen Herman I only visit this salon when I’m in a pinch for a manicure or pedicure. My regular nail tech is in Boca, but since moving to Fort Lauderdale, I’ve tried this franchise a few times. While the nail techs are talented and offer a variety of services, there are some concerns that prevent me from fully recommending it. The main issue is their lack of itemized receipts, which is a basic expectation for transparency. Additionally, the management can be unprofessional. On one visit, I booked a French dip manicure for my birthday, but the results were cloudy and didn’t resemble a French style. The nail tech worked to fix it with a gel top coat, but the manager made an unnecessary comment that left a bad impression. To provide context, my prior visit was in August for my graduation. I received a full set of gel extensions and a pedicure, and the total came to nearly $400, which was shocking. Since then, I’ve made an effort to clearly communicate my preferences to avoid surprises. While the nail techs are skilled and the services are decent, the lack of transparency and unprofessional management bring the experience down.

Susan Bergeron I was skeptical of going to a new salon as I’m super picky about my gel manicures. Tony did a fantastic job and 2 weeks later my gel manicure looks amazing! Idk what sorcery he performed but this is the longest I’ve gone w no chips or peeling. I would definitely recommend Tony.

Liz Barragan I recently had a very strange pedicure experience at this salon. The woman who attended to me was extremely rough on my feet, which made the whole experience quite uncomfortable. Additionally, they didnt use any soap during the pedicure—just warm water and that was it. Im not sure if this is a new practice or just an oversight, but it definitely wasnt what I expected. Overall, I was quite disappointed with the service.

Nuriya Rodney I went to this salon yesterday because I broke a nail at the beach, and they were the only place open on Sunday past five with good reviews. I didn’t know what to expect because the reviews were mixed, but this place was AMAZING. My nails were done by Andy, but everyone in the store was pleasant and they were interacting with their clients. Andy did such a good job! He didn’t judge me when I told him I do my own nails and he answered any questions I had and even encouraged me to keep practicing and studying! He was super attentive to details that are normally missed like shaping them properly and making sure around my cuticle was smooth and rounded. They don’t do acrylic, but their dip application is flawless, and they feel just as strong. He even added cuticle oil which my poor babies were BEGGING for. I’m so happy with my experience and whenever I’m back in this area, this is where I’ll go.

Annette Rise After my nail technician of 5 years left the country i had once again searched for somene who would understand my wishes, be friendly and coureous and just no have a typical "miami attitude"..(a rare sight, actually) And in 2 months i found her! Kim from Nails Concepts is a gem. She listened attentively to my desires, understood what and how it had to be done and, literally, overdelivered..I am in love. She surrounded me with warmth, giving her undivided attention with no rush; not only she understood the shape from the first glance, but carried it out gently and carefully without me asking to do so, as normally i had to. From the time i sat down to the time i left it was a wonderful experience - there were 3 more clients and 2 more technicians, and we all talked and laughed and enjoyed our time. Amanda Arnold I’ve been coming to this nail salon since December 2023 and I decided to try Gel-X nails for the first time and I absolutely LOVE how they turned out. The tips are already the perfect almond shape and I used a beetle gel polish with chrome on top. My nail tech Jesse did her own nails like this so that’s how I found out about it and I’m so obsessed. Jayda Olivarez Had an appointment at 1pm today w Tracy. First it started off good, then i tried to tell her to even out my base, she got mad. My base on my nails are bumpy and not even. Way too thin. She was rude, after she got done with my nails she was going to wax my eyebrows, but when i sat in the chair she was so rough on my face, asked her to be gentle she got someone else to do my wax. Tracy isn’t very professional. she was rushing, she was rough, and charged me $80 for a plain set, no design no nothing, 1 solid color.

Heather Dixon My usual nail place was fully booked so I came in without an appointment. They were able to get me in immediately for a dip mani and gel pedi. They were able to start on my hands while doing the feet so I was in and out super fast! I am SO impressed with the results, the shape and thickness are perfect. Erika Magarian Plain & simple, DO NOT COME TO THIS PATHETIC PLACE!!! Staff is pompous & arrogant. Even worse, they are inexperienced and completely negligent! I had dip done by Joe. By the end of the evening, I had SEVEN chips to the corners of my nails, and this was after going home and watering my plants. No, I did not do any laborious cleaning, manual labor, or any heavy construction. The nails chipped for absolutely no reason at all! I called the spa first thing in the morning to inform them that I would be coming in at the same time as the day prior (6pm), in order to have the issue corrected. The ignorant man that answered the phone stated that they do not take appointments to fix nails, and that they would be too busy at 6pm. He told me to come earlier and I quickly explained that I am seeing patients in my office until that time. Apparently, these dimwits arent able to 6 nails chipped the very SAME day I got them done! Incompetent staff!! the meaning of customer service. All in all, I wouldnt go back to this place if my life depended on it! Just to add, as the other Yelpers mentioned, this place is extremely dirty, trashy, and unkempt. The ONLY reason I came here was because my girl, Liz, at TOI Spa in Hollywood was not working that day. On that note, if anyone is interested in finding a beautiful spa with a caring and considerate staff, I HIGHLY recommend TOI Spa in Hollywood circle. Liz (TOI Spa) is absolutely the BEST of the BEST!!!

She takes her time and focuses on the details to shape my nails, remove cuticles, and get the polish just right. The salon is busy but relatively quiet considering the environment, and Im able to relax while Im there. I thoroughly enjoy the hour of "me" time.

Skye Gould I normally never write reviews but this experience has been so horrific, I have to. I went to get a dip manicure last night and it took over two hours and I left with my nails bleeding, hurting, and having cotton marks all over them. The technician was new, which I wasnt told, but became painfully obvious when the manicure was taking a crazy amount of time. I was patient (even though after the 1 hour that the service was supposed to take, it was still no where near done) and was waiting for her to finish. After messing up the techniques the entire time, she puts a clear coat on top that isnt gel leaving my nails WET. Ive never had a dip manicure in my life that leaves my nails wet and asked why didnt use gel clear coat. There was a woman there named Camila who also worked there and was sitting there the entire two hours on her computer and never once came over to check in and find out why it was taking so long. They were the only two employees there and I was legit the only costumer in there the entire time I was there. When I said something to Camila about my nails being wet, she said I didnt have to pay and that the technician could put a clear gel coat on top. The technician starts to take a wet cotton ball with remover over the wet top coat she already applied, leaving cotton marks all over my nails. At this point I was so frustrated and late I had to just leave like this. My nails were also bleeding and hurting from how bad she cut my cuticles. Before I left, Camila told me I could come in at 9am to get it fixed by someone better because I told her that was only time I had. She then called me after I left confirming 9am and I told her then that I only wanted the horrible dip removed and not redone. She sent me a text and email confirmation that it would be done at 9am (see the photos). This morning I go back at 9am and no one is there and the doors are locked. She proceeds to text me that they can only do 10am and that it was a mistake to say 9. So now I have to go pay someone else to fix them. Ive had dozens of dip manicures and never experienced anything like this before. I also wanted to avoid writing a review as well and gave them a chance to fix it this morning, but unfortunately that didnt happen.

Gabriela Zurita In this place I had one of the worst experiences doing my manicure and pedicure mainly because of how excessively expensive it was, I paid $120 for a regular pedicure and gel manicure, which I wouldnt mind if the service was excellent quality but I was sitting there for 2 and a half hours, the chairs were really uncomfortable, the technician cut me, the tips were too thick which I hate, two days ago I did my manicure here and its already peeling. Ah also they dont use plastic barriers which I didnt like at all. I usually dont leave bad reviews but if youre going to charge those amounts at least offer better service.

Samantha Gilbert I can’t say it was the worst or best experience. Being out of state and finding a random place to trust is difficult especially when it was last minute during my travels. But, my mani pedi came out great. I will say, that was a very lengthy three hour process. I had hard gel (acrylic-like) base and gel color on prior and paid for the removal add on per the booking request. When she was filing the layers off, she didn’t take them all the way off, and didn’t fill them in either. So only I can really notice that there’s a bump halfway up where the extra hard gel is underneath. I do have short arms so trying to keep my arms up in the air on the added extra table padding was difficult for a long period of time and it wasn’t comfortable. Was also very cold in the place, which is I guess a normal for Florida businesses. The pedicure was definitely different. Very sweet lady but I definitely got cut a couple times and still feel them afterwards. I did pay for gel color but not sure why I had to wait so long for them to dry. Staff is very nice. Atmosphere is very quaint and simple modern clean look. I would say it was very expensive. Less if you pay cash which was nice. Just overall mixed feelings. But they do look great. Hot tea offered was very kind.

Leika S Cathy did my nails and the side nails doesnt have a polish. I told her she missed a spot coz she already putting the final coat and she telling me that she knows what she doing. When im just reminding. And when she check she saw that im right thats the time she put some but there is still she missed spot on other nail. Some nails are bumpy too. I requested dip and regular. The nails are not long and the shape is not really coffin for me. $10 for shape and $10 for extension. Idc for price as long as its good work. I’m just disappointed how she communicate and the work

The gel on my toenails didnt just paint the nail but also the skin and then they left my hands unfinished, the owner got angry and yelled at me and ended up kicking me out of the salon and he didnt finish my nails. NO SABEN LO QUE HACEN Y SON AGRESIVOS! el gel de mis uñas de mis pies no solo pintaba la uña si no tambien la piel y luego me dejaron mis manos sin terminar, el dueño se enojo y me grito y termino hechandome del salon y no me termino las uñas Of course I knew what I wanted, but if they do a bad job they cant yell at the client and kick me out of the salon. I didnt ask for a technician to help me. If I go to a salon I expect ALL the staff to know what they are doing. Terrible, thats why they get bad reviews. I have a video of the man yelling at me and kicking me out of the place. I will post it on Facebook.

Michaela White I’ve held off writing a review a few times, but this will be my last visit to Nails Lux. The only reason I kept returning was its convenient location across the street. However, I’m consistently left frustrated by the sloppy results of a basic gel manicure that now costs $40, plus the added pressure to Venmo a tip afterward. It’s hard to address the issue since it ultimately comes down to just sloppiness, so I’ll be seeking services elsewhere or suggest making an appointment with a trusted nail tech if you plan to visit.

I got my nails done for EDCO with Angel check out the pics on how they came out super happy. Now a week later I wanted to shorten them and change the style for a wedding I had Jordan this time and check it out cute simple elegant perfect shape and length. I am extremely happy. I’m super picky ocd type and they did not disappoint!! I’ll definitely keep coming back!

Keke Jhanai I got a pedi and a SNS dip on my fingers with gel polish done on Sat, Sep. 14. By Monday, Sept. 16, the gel nail polish started chipping on my thumbs for no apparent reason as there was no damage done to my nails. I sent a photo to the IG page and asked if I could come in on Wednesday to get my nails repainted. The person responded that I could. However, I wasn’t able to come on Wednesday so I came on Saturday, Sept. 21 for the same issue. When I came in, there were 4 women waiting to be seen. A guy closer to the front door asked what I wanted help with. I told him that I needed 3 nails repainted and he told me that I’d have to wait for 4 women that needed a full service before I could be seen. I asked how long the wait would be, the guy said he didn’t know. Meanwhile, if someone that came in and asked for a full service with a pedi, they were directed to be seen for their service immediately. I then waited about 20 minutes after one tech became available and took someone waiting. So then spoke to the same guy by the front door and showed him my nails that needed to be repainted and asked if it could be done by the next tech available since it’s quick. He said I would still have to wait. After waiting about 10 more minutes, I decided to leave. I’ve had times I’ve had to come in because of a tech error on my nails and if it’s quick, they usually let me be seen at the next available. I am dissatisfied that my gel nail polish started chipping away after 2 days when I’m used to it lasting for a whole 3-4 weeks normally. I’m disappointed because when I went in to get the error fixed, I was going to be forced to wait at least an hour for a 15 min at most repainting of 3 nails. Mind you, I only have one thumb and index finger pictured but both of my thumbs look chipped as bad as my one thumb pictured. I like the spa, they are busy, but I like the two people I worked with and would like to continue going back. I’m just not gonna go back if I receive similar treatment.

Gra Oliveira This has to be the worst job someone has ever done in my nails. When I was done it looked like my little niece did it. The cuticles looked so poorly done. The nail polish wasn’t even, it had many “holes” on the “finish”. So bad that I had to go back and ask for a touch up. Still, it looked terrible! The job was done in a hurry too. I’m never going back again. 1st and last time.

Elsa Lopez Please please DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! Go to POSH nail DAVIE or COOL nails instead. I asked for an almond shape French tip and the work speaks for itself. I arrived at 2pm and left at 4:30pm. When I asked for my nails to be fixed they said it would be another hour and honestly there was no fixing them without starting all over. Tech was incredibly nice but the front desk was extremely rude. Please save yourself your precious time and do not come here.

Erika Janicsek I had my nails done at this salon on December 21, 2024, at noon. By the morning of December 23, one of my nails broke off while I was sleeping. Communication at the salon is minimal. They claim a 5-minute wait time, but I waited for 40 minutes. They work like an assembly line, rushing through each customer’s nails. The black-haired woman who did my nails seemed to be the main communicator with everyone. My nails were done in about 20 minutes, possibly less. I’ve never had my nails done so quickly before. Initially, I was pleased as I didn’t notice any major issues with her work. She used air-dry acrylic, with no other options available. I found my nails to be quite thin. Oddly, she didn’t trim the cuticles or clean my nails properly. I’m very upset because I rarely have short nails, and I’ve never had one break off before. The next morning, while adjusting my pillow in bed, my finger caught for a split second, and the nail broke off instantly. I regret spending $50 on this service. I chose this place because it was popular and seemed reasonably priced, but it was a huge mistake. They advertise a 10% discount for cruise ship passengers, but didn’t honor it. The staff’s English is poor and hard to understand. This was the worst decision I’ve made. I’ll be in America for two more months, coming from Europe, and now I probably have to wait 3-4 weeks for my nail to heal! I strongly advise against choosing this business due to serious quality issues. This place should be shut down! I don’t understand how they can operate like this.

Patricia I am very disappointed at the treatment I received on yesterday 9/18/23 around 6 pm. I had been going to this establishment for years. I came on 9/8/23 towards the end of my acrylic refill E had me dry my nails under the fan instead of the UV. I thought that was odd because I she use to always put me under the U . My nail chipped and I went back yesterday. The man up front needs to be fired. I have never be treated so badly. 1) He kept trying to sale me on Gel. I said you need to fix this. Intimidation does not work with me. Then he says his nail tech does not work for free he should have taken ownership and did it for free. I paid and additional $23 for this mess. I went to the nail tech he lied and said he could not fix it. IHe did a poor job as you can see. He apply cleat and was telling me to go to the fan . I said no I paid for UV. Then he put a coat of the gel on my nails and was rushing. And put it in the UV. I am never coming back here again! The lady owner is real sweet. Sorry but you weren’t there you need to do something with his deceitful lying self. YES. The one sitting in the front with the glasses. I am gone.

rexx Sorry not sorry, this place sucks. It was $27 ($22 base plus $5 tip) for a basic manicure. The guy who did my nails was so distracted he provided a terrible service. The included “hand massage” was less than a pea size of lotion and was just him petting my arm like a dog while he talked to the technician text to him. The painting job was also terrible, the polish is inconsistent and bumpy, and even with 3 coats, there are bits where you can see my natural nails. I have been coming here for years, I wish I could say this was just a one-time experience, but it’s not. I keep hoping it’s gotten better but the quality stays the same, while the service cost goes up. I wouldn’t even pay $10 for the job they did.

Hez zio I deleted my previous review because quite honestly, I’m annoyed with my experience yesterday. I’ve been a loyal customer for the past several months, coming in bi-weekly for a fill. I call ahead to make an appointment because my time is limited with working full time and having small kids. This is the only time I get for myself and I cherish it. I’ve waited patiently as appointments carry over, I’m understanding. I’ve even come on different days when calling and being told that day was booked…but yesterday to call and make an appointment and then show up for the appointment to be told “I’m sorry, the lady ahead of you chose a pedicure too, it’s going to be an extra 30 minutes” is just crazy to me. I asked for anyone else, as again, my time is limited, and everyone else had appointments. I guess my appointment wasn’t good enough to honor. I was asked to wait or come back the next day. I said that’s ok, I won’t be coming back. I walked out and took my bi-weekly $90 manicure else where. The lady at my new place sure appreciated the 25% tip I always provide. All it would have taken was a phone call or better calendar management on their part and they would have kept a very loyal customer. ✌️

I’m usually taken care of by Henry and/or Tim (they’re great) For whatever reason, after Tim completed my refill I was told that Snow (lady at the first desk) was going to be doing my polish. First off, she seemed irritated that I asked her to make it my French tip more thin. I asked her to re do it. The paint job is horrific. The most sloppy French tips I’ve ever seen. She then puts 3 clear top coats on one hand and 2 on the other. Then proceeded to ARGUE with me after I told her that. Needless to say, I won’t be ever be returning. EXTREMELY rude and unprofessional.

I asked for a full set acrylic with gel, the lady did not do ANY preparation to my nails and just slapped on the acrylics without even measuring if the size was correct, proceeded to file in all sorts of directions making one square, one round, and the lengths were completely different on each nail. When I asked her to correct things she kept getting upset so another person took over. He said he would fix them and then made it worse by making the shorter nails even shorter. I told them I asked for long and since the lady already ruined one to make it shorter, they were gonna make all of them shorter!!!!! I was passed on to a THIRD person which also had no idea how to fix the nails and was attempting to file all the way down to start again. She mentioned how if I want them to clean my nails prior to beginning anything it’s an extra cost!!! There was no filing, no cuticle removal, not even a light soak of any kind!!!! I got very upset and asked for a removal of everything and to just leave. I will NEVER recommend such an awful place to anyone!!!! Do NOT waste your money here!!!! I left the place full of glue and my nails with patchy pieces of acrylic. This was the worst nail experience I have ever had.

Oriana Prieto Worst experience ever... I never ever leave a bad review, but this is necessary. Cici did a regular pedicure and manicure dip on my nails. My fingers are really hurting and with blood. She did not use the correct instruments for a manicure. She did not use any oil, or water to soften my cuticle. She use the drill-like instrument that is supposed to be for the nails and use it for my skin! I paid $80 for something I did not like! Now I am hurting. It was a very rough service. I went to pamper myself after hard work and I left with a very bad experience. Never coming back

Lissette I came here because I was given a gift card as a birthday present and never again. The pedicure I must admit was quite nice, but my fills are horrible. Four days later and my nails are lifting and chipped on the sides. Not to mention the fa t that the gentleman burned me at least three times with the electric file so now my cuticles are tender.

Johanne Duran I am from up-state New York. I usually do my own nails before going in vacay but I didnt have the time. So I was staying at the holiday inn across the street and decided to call and see if they had openings. Got gel x french tip done and love them. The only thing and this is me diving in deep into details is that some of the glue stayed under my nails and it bothers me a little. But other than that it was quick and straight to the point.

Shanah Magness. I received beautiful service from a nice lady yesterday . I was suppose to take my daughter but she was sleep. So I took my 10 year old daughter here 30 min ago for a pedicure and manicure. The guy who is doing her nails and feet tells my daughter she’s not a little girl she’s an adult and she’s going to pay adult price. I said she’s a child she’s only 10 and the prices says for 10 and under. He’s still goes on to say that’s not a little girl she’s looks like an adult. She needs to show me ID because he doesn’t believe she’s a little girl . My daughter who suffers from self esteem due to being picked on due to her development gets upset and cry. I called my fiancé to get my daughter’s passport which is the only form of ID she has and try to show him he dated he didn’t care . I’m currently waiting for the owner to arrive and reporting this business to the Fort Lauderdale business compliant and complaint division Monday . Update Owner came in and gave a fake apology and said she can get her nails done but for $37. He has kids so he understands he usually here but he had to do something. Owner didn’t address the guy . As a business owner and you want to sincerely show you sorry from a business perspective you would had comp the service or a discount he offered nothing and added $7 . If we would had been white I’m sure it would had been different. We will see how sorry they will be Monday .

Each toe nail edge was sharp. Nails. Asked for "square round". Not done. Nails are not even. Used the drill on top of my nails, too much pressure, now my nails are peeling. *****Response to owner. Christine Leverett I’ve had some pretty great experiences at this salon and have been a returning customer for many years. However I just went to get my nails done just now and had such a bad experience that I wanted to write a review. I went in for a manicure and asked which would last longer gel or dip. They advised dip and so that is the service I selected. When the manicurist started she didn’t touch up my nails except to cut them (very very short, despite growing my nails out so they would be longer). Absolutely no manicure, just polish. It was not a relaxing or enjoyable experience. When I asked at the end I could tell they were looking at my nails and were very confused about how to respond. I’ve had dip done before. I’ve had gel done before. There is ALWAYS a manicure process in addition to paint. No attempt was made to correct this, nothing but shocked faces. They look horrible, I’m so disappointed and Will not be returning.

Kellyn Habinowski I went for the first time the other day and the experience was so uncomfortable. I called for a gel x set AND soak off. The women at the front desk was so sweet and friendly. She welcomed me right away and checked me in. I picked my color and waited for someone who was capable of doing gel x which was fine by me. Except for the fact that the man actually had no idea what he was doing. Or just didn’t care. He did not use any acetone to remove my nails!!! At all!!! He used a nail tip and pryed them off one by one. Except they were all on good so he also had to drill and use clippers and pick off piece by piece. I couldn’t believe it tbh. It was so unnecessary and uncomfortable. It didn’t save any time at all. He also cut my cuticle and drilled a spot so far down in my thumb he had to use hard gel and manually fill it on top of the gel x. I was wincing the whole time and he picked up on it and asked if he was hurting me. He just laughed at my response. You can tell he has never gotten his nails done and has no empathy. I don’t know why I got this treatment as other nail techs seemed to be doing proper procedures around me. This was a very different experience that I’ve had at other salons with the same service. Why are you allowing your nail techs to treat customers this badly and not upholding standards? I have heard good experiences from friends about this salon but I won’t go back after this. J F Pro tip: make an appointment! Been going to this nail salon for over a year now. Im the kind of woman that gets the same dip mani and pedi every time. Im talking about the same red color, same length, every time. Because of that, I look for consistency and longevity in my nails. Mindy is fantastic. She takes her time and is diligent. Her work is consistent and clean. If you notice a flaw or something is off, shell correct it right away. I get a dip mani with OPI powder and it lasts me over 3 weeks. Now I can use my REAL nails instead of tips because the treatment has helped my nails grow longer and not break off. Kudos, Mindy. Youre a wonderful artist. Great work!

Briana novo THIS IS HORRIBLE. My nails look horrible and nothing like what i asked for. I payed $65 dollars for horrible nails. My best friend was also getting her nails done and she had 2 different workers do her nails. She had one lady work on her nails for an hour then had to wait 30 minutes for the second worker to continue and finish her nails and that lady took 45 minutes to completely finish her nails.They take extremely long. They took 2 hours!! The lady that did my nails was very nice but the staff did not greet us when we walked in. We had about 20 eyes on us and not one of them said a word until we spoke. I DO NOT recommend at all.

David Cook I have been coming to this salon for 8 years. I have yet to have a bad experience. I am always treated warmly and with kindness; and my nails alway slook impeccable. As a man who tends to pick or bite my nails, I have been getting dip powder on them for years. It looks completely natural; and it also keeps me from wanting to mess with them. I have had several different individuals work on my nails over the years; but I must say the last 2 years have been my favorite. I am always greeted by name and even when I need a pop-up appontment becasue I forgot to make one; they find a way to squeeze me in that day. I have read 1 or 2 other reviews and both reviewers have a history of writing negative reviews about several businesses; and the way they scribed just makes me feel that they are unhappy people. You can TRUST Flora de Nails. They are amazing and I will not go anwhere else.

Lora Was staying at the Sonesta for work and saw that this salon was within walking distance and also next door to Publix, so I stopped in before getting some groceries. Definitely a “low thrills” type of place, but they do a good job. Paid $45 for a deluxe pedicure. My technician did a good job. Whole experience from start to finish was about 40 minutes long. The place could use some updates and it would be nice if they offered a complimentary beverage, but overall it was an ok experience. Nothing special, but nothing particularly bad either.

Alli Gellys I have been going to Hi-Tek for years. The entire staff is great. They are welcoming, professional, and genuinely nice people. The services are reasonably priced, and the work is the best I have found in the Fort Lauderdale area. Danny the owner is the best! He always does a perfect job on my nails and his fill-ins are so quick. Nini is a sweetheart, I love seeing her when I go. I have had a pedicure with many different technicians and it is always very enjoyable with lasting results. I highly recommend Hi-Tek salon, whether you live in the area or are on vacation. They stand behind their work and will make sure you love your nails. Pictured: I recently started getting Ombre French and I cant go back to regular polish. It is so subtle and clean, and the acrylic is very thin (see awkward picture) but extremely strong (I am very hard on my nails, and they always last to the next fill). I cannot say enough nice things, please give them a try :)

TRYRESE JONES This place was great. I believe Amy was my nail tech. She did a really good job. She did my fill-in and my pedicure. I was surprised to have her do both. Most places I go to 2 people work on you. Their prices are good as well. The only thing I didnt like was that she didnt ask me what type of pedicure I wanted. I see on their website that they have different spa pedicures and she never offered. Im still giving them 5 stars over-all.

: Donteen I’ve come to this nail salon in the past and it was a hit or miss. Haven’t been back in a while and today I broke a nail and decided to stop in and requested a fix. Nothing major, just take off the acrylic and put another nail on in a random color since the set wasn’t done at this location. The man at the front said, “We don’t do repairs.” I looked at the price list and I said, “You have nail repairs on your price list.” He said they do not repair nails if the set wasn’t done at their shop. So DO NOT COME HERE if you need a repair for a set that they didn’t do. That’s their policy and I respect it, but it’s foolish.

Randi Sweeting I felt well taken care of the second I stepped in. Lucy was very friendly and accomodating. My pedicurist was so detail oriented and really took her time to get my feet right. Jin did my manicure. I showed him a picture, and he more than delivered! He was so focused the whole time, but so friendly, and always made sure I approved of what he was doing as he went along. danielle bruscato I finally had a day off and decided to treat myself to a much-needed pedicure at my favorite nail salon. Unfortunately, my go-to nail tech, Ben, was out of town. From the start of my appointment, the nail tech began pointing out everything wrong with my feet. Telling me I left my polish on too long, cut my nails too short, and had an ingrown nail. When I acknowledged the ingrown, she dismissed me with, “No, you don’t.” She then went on to criticize Ben, saying he doesn’t know how to fix ingrown nails. At that point, I decided to put my headphones in and try to enjoy the rest of my pedicure. However, her behavior only got worse. She made a point of dramatically putting lint or debris onto the top of my foot, whistling at every piece she removed. It felt intentional, and when I finally spoke up and told her I didn’t appreciate how she was acting, her response was, “I just wanted you to see.” That’s when I realized she was being rude on purpose. I was so overwhelmed and upset that I actually started crying. I sat there, just waiting for the appointment to be over. She apologized, but by then, the experience was already ruined. After years of coming to this salon, I never expected to be treated this way. I even reached out afterward, but never received a follow-up call.

M Ca I was disappointed with the rude staff but shrugged it off to a bad day. However, they didn’t remove our dip properly and now clearly shows through the nail polish. They really just try to get customers in and out as fast as possible without caring of the quality

R. Nieves The worst experience I’ve ever had. 1. She did not clean/ care for my cuticles. She only used a nail drill which left my cuticles round and undone. As well as not removing the cuticles on the side of my nails 2. She left the SNS dip gritty where I can see the texture through the color. 3. The SNS was applied directly on my cuticle which looks poorly done. 4. She did not cover all of the base color, the photos show it all. Because my cuticles were not properly manicured the SNS looks globby and my nail beds look round. It’s absolutely horrendous & as I kindly brought these things to her attention she acted like she was addressing my issues but didn’t. I had a simple SNS and it’s honestly embarrassing.

I started with acrylic when they first came into fashion, about 40 years ago, so I have used many salons previously. I would not switch this time. Helens procedure and products create natural nails that stay on and look beautiful.

Vivi Garbanzo The place was ok. Staff was friendly and they did a good job and on my mani pedi. But I decided to get my eyelashes done here. The eyelash tech used way too much glue and placed the lash underneath my eyelash instead of over, allowing my eyelashes to feel heavy and become crunchy. I am very disappointed with my service because this was a botched job. I want the owner and the eyelash tech to understand that our eyes are valuable. It is not just an ugly beauty treatment, defective eyelashes could lead to hair loss, infection, or even escalate to blindness if the person wearing the lashes doesn’t have the judgement to remove them. I think I’ll have to report this service to BBB because I am disgusted by the lack of consideration for my eyes. UPDATE: three star rating down to 1. The manager responded stating I would receive a refund. I call the salon to verify and they tell me “come in and we’ll see.” I tell them that is an unacceptable response. They tell me I will receive a refund if I come in. I go to the salon to be told by the owner that she did my eyelashes properly and that they can’t do anything if I took the eyelashes off. (I attached the pictures prior to her even offering the refund). They wasted my time and gas. They have terrible customer service and are disrespectful. There are other places to go, don’t waste your time you’ll just be mistreated.

BABE FRAZIER I got a pedicure done last week and I believe her name was Lucy or Linda she did an absolute fantastic job I walked in with cow feet and I walked out with feet that look like they belong on a human I hope she remembers me she painted on black Im having a bit of a problem because I looked at my credit card and I charge $45 but the pedicure was 40 and I put $5 tip on the card and when I looked at my credit card it said transaction was canceled please get back to me and let me know what happened because if it was canceled I owe you the money so please let me know because I want her to do my pedicure again next month my experience with this nail place first time was fantastic

Miami Wicked I come here to get my eyebrows and eyelashes done. And I am never disappointed. They do a great job. I bring my all lashes because I like a certain brand but they do have different brands less even colored lashes available so they are definitely recommended in my book.

Lashon Hoston I went here during Valentines weekend, I always get my nails done with no problem from another nail place... since they were close to my home I used them... my nails were done incorrectly and the nail tech infected my thumb... I will be looking into this matter ASAP.. MY WHOLE HAND HURTS ... PLEASE DONT USE THE SECOND TECH BY THE DOOR ... SHE DOESNT KNOW HOW TO DO NAILS AND YOU GOT MY FINGER INFECTED!@@

Samantha I’ve been going to Kevin for my nails, and he is truly the best! His service is always top-notch, and I always walk out feeling confident with my nails. I typically get a dip manicure, and Kevin does such an amazing job that they never break or chip – even weeks later. I constantly receive compliments on my nails, and I owe it all to his attention to detail and expertise. If you’re looking for a nail technician who provides excellent results and a great overall experience, I highly recommend Kevin!

bella harris i used to come here religiously until i will no longer be coming ever again. Jessica did my nails, took 2.5 hours for a simple french nail. sloppily done, was made fun of for having skinny hands, pulling and rough with my nails and hands lefts with two cuts. the technique was unprofessional, she complained to me about my design choice saying it took too long. was left paying 80$ which is not what is priced for french tips, and dirty sloppy looking nails. please don’t ever go here.

Georgia Peach My nail technician was not accommodating nor very skilled. She immediately advised me that she would not use the pale pink polish that I selected because it was too light. (I’m accustomed to having 3 coats of that exact color), I told her “fine I’ll take a French mani & pedi.” She completed my pedicure with the quickest few seconds massage in comparison to my sister next to me who had a basic pedicure juxtaposed to my green tea/lavender pedicure. When we moved over to the nail table she used clear acrylic although she saw that I have flesh/neutral colored acrylic. I verbalized my concern she responded, “it’ll be alright.” They had the correct color. I should have demanded what I was paying for. She ended up using too much acrylic making my nails different thickness and widths. I have thin narrow nails and have acrylic applied to prevent breakage but they shouldn’t all be different! She proceeded to apply the polish and then the French tips on top. I didn’t remind her that was not what I requested because at that point I was ready to leave. I didn’t tip her but did tip my sister’s technician for providing a great massage. I left a few hundred dollars later and have now decided that I’m done with acrylic over my nails. No more poisonous chemicals thanks to poor service so I guess something great came out of this anyway!

E we’re able to get in very quickly and the service was excellent. My nail tech was very thorough checking the evenness of the nails and gave me a set I was very happy with! My friends nails also turned out well and the prices were not bad at all. $40 for the full set was very reasonable, especially for the good quality!!

Ashley Kittelson I came here for a gel manicure. The staff were friendly and did a good job prepping my nails. But the polish was applied poorly and got onto my skin in several spots. Would not recommend.

Rod Col So disappointed this is my go to salon Don always does an amazing job but he wasn’t there. After this experience I will NEVER let another person touch me except him. The fact that I was still charged full price is insane . I expected my nails (4th pic) to be the color of the 3rd pic . My nails and toes are two different color pinks . And the lady that did my toes skipped my pinky toe and didn’t even get the sides of by big toe was well as leaving a line across the middle from the previous overlay .

Sara Reyes This is the most lazy service overpriced place I’ve ever been to. Today 12/9/2022 at 12:51pm I got a regular manicure no color as they do not do regular color only gel. Let’s start with the fact that the lady at table 2 days they don’t do manicures. After questioning her twice she said yea we do but not regular color just gel. I said I don’t want any color. She said that’s fine and sit at table 7 VERY LAZY job. After having to instruct the manicurist what to do which was extremely simple … cut my nails file and clean the cuticles … she had to do it 3 times as she did a VERY LAZY job each time. 1. I informed her I had clear regular polish she decided to not acetone it and use the filing machine to remove regular color which is easily removed with acetone 2. she didn’t push my cuticle back. She used the long tool and brushed up on it. Like are you kidding me!!! No!! Do it right. 3. I asked her to push back my cuticle so I can have a clean finish. She played it off like she didn’t speak english all of a sudden. So I spoke to a young boy in English who translated for her. She still didn’t push it back hence the finish product is SLOPPY! Once done which as u can see in the photos is the finish job … she gave me no lotion no oil nothing just a spay of alcohol … Ready for this….. they charged me $20 for this! I’ve never paid more than $10 for a regular manicure. Consumer affairs will be notified of this scamming OVER PRICED location! I am absolutely disgusted at the service they provided!!! I can only imagine what they charge for a set of tips!
