Rachel Campeau Update Jan 2023-Salon has never reached out to me but has responded to all of their 5 star reviews after I left this. I also see that there are a few other reviews from clients that had a terrible experience with Kat. Wondering how she is still working at the salon at this point. I attached most recent picture of my burn where you can see I still have ZERO hair growth. I was encouraged by my new current stylist to make this review as Im not a confrontational person. February 27th 2021 I had an appointment with Kat for highlights. Everything was going well until I was put under the heat. My head started to feel super hot so I leaned forward out of the heater waiting until Kat came back into the room. (I was in the back room where there was nobody else that Saturday) it was probably about 10-20 minutes before she came to check on me I let her know I was super hot but she said my hair needed a bit more time so back under the heat I went. After a few more minutes my head started burning again, I sat forward out of the heat once again and Kat came back after a few minutes. She was ready to rinse my hair out and at this point Im sure she saw the redness but failed to mention anything. We made it back to the chair for trim and blow dry! The whole time I really just felt an odd pain on my scalp. Again, at this point Im sure she noticed because my hair was not drying where the burn was. It was super oily as it was clearly blistering during this time. I really had no idea it was this bad until I left. Once I was home and really able to take a look and have my husband look as well, he was appalled that I had to pay for any services (mind you I tipped great too) as it was clear as day I had a chemical burn. What I went through for MONTHS after this were terrible! The healing took almost an entire year. It is just now starting to not be sensitive. Constant pain trying to wash my hair, scabbing and bleeding over and over again, my hair has completely fallen out, and will NOT grow back in that spot. Ive been told multiple times that this salon is lucky that I didnt take further action as this was a much more serious situation than I had thought at the time.

Liza surname the place is pretty, haircut is good, the staff are nice. But on their website the service i booked said in-depth consultation but stylist didnt help much, just said she can do whatever i want. I choose this service specifically cause i didnt know what to get. Also when i booked the haircut app. it said $45 and then they charged me $65, i didnt get any additional services done. And they didnt even notify me of price change. Kinda disappointed, not worth the money. Wont come back again, cause the pricing is disingenuous.

Izzy Moyer The people were nice and very welcoming. I did love the energy of my stylist, And the salon is quite beautiful. Yet I didn’t have a good experience. 6 months ago I came in for k-tip extensions. I have very fine curly hair. I came in and showed my hair texture And they still decided to put extensions in my hair. Knowing That Bellami extensions DOESNT SELL CURLY HAIR EXTENSIONS. In fact, the wavy hair is noted to lose wave after a few washes. I was not aware that the wave Would wash out. So when I Got out of the shower A week after my appointment. My natural hair was curling While anything passing my shoulders Was almost straight. of which I went in to the salon To hopefully fix this issue And the blame was pinned on me Because The shampoo I used wasn’t the best. Yes it wasn’t, but I have had curly K tips the past year And the shampoo had done me fine. I have text message proof of them saying that The extensions were “curly.” I got them Removed for free From volume one. As well a complete refund From Bellami hair extensions. But I have never received A refund for the application process at volume one. it was pulling teeth every single time I called. I would love my money back Considering it was about $400 for the application But I’m so sick of calling. I ended up going to have to pay full price at another salon to get My K tips. If I could put photos in here I would, this salon not paying me back as complete bullsh**. I would give negative stars if I could.

Angela Faulkner I can’t say enough about how great this place is. I called with a hair “emergency” and the receptionist was so kind and went above and beyond to get me in for a last minute consultation with the AMAZING SCARLETT. She saved my hair. Very talented stylist! I would recommend her to anyone who is in need of a permanent stylist. This salon is the best I’ve been to in the 8 years I’ve lived here. Love the energy and everyone is very friendly and willing to help. ❤️

Michelle Allen Jessica is absolutely amazing!! I will send her everyone I know!! I love the atmosphere of the salon ,and how friendly and welcoming everyone was. More importantly, Jessica knew exactly what she was doing . I am VERY VERY happy with my color and cut and let me tell you that wash and scalp massage.. WOW !! Best I’ve ever had!! Balon Solos I have been going here and when they were at two other locations for 42 years. I was 15 yoa learning to drive dropping my Sister and Mother off to get thier hair done and while waiting Jeff saw my mess of hair from the Military Barber and fixed me up. Have been going there ever since. Would pop in on leave when I was traveling from base to base USAF and back to town from overseas. Jeff and Ellen are fantastic people.

Bonnie Mckeag Stylist, Kat, did a wonderful job with cleaning up a covid-19 haircut from mom. And the Aupars new cut and highlight was beautiful. She also gave great advice on how to take care of the girls hair with all the swimming they are doing since visiting Pensacola.

La Reina Been using this salon for awhile and was very happy, until I got extensions for the first time 3 1/2 weeks ago. Within 24 hours, my extension started falling out, so I told the stylist what had happened and she could care less. I told her to schedule me in to make sure my extensions were good because they should not have been falling out as much as they did, but she never scheduled me and insisted that she was weeks out booked. Within the week, my scalp started to itch pretty bad and I was told this was supposed to be Belami hair. I brush my hair every single day and use average shampoo and conditioner, and do not do any other products. I lost over 13 K tip extensions within 3 weeks. The stylist kept claiming that it was because of my lack of brushing and products that caused tension alopecia and dreading to my hair. Which is completely wrong because I brush my hair every single day, every day. I could not take the tangles and pain anymore so I decided to go to Alabama to get my hair done. It took five stylists and two hours to completely remove all of my extensions. They said I have tension alopecia and lost a lot of my hair, they said they did notice I brush every day, that the stylist applied it wrong completely, and I was having serious rashes from whatever the glue was. This is highly disappointing and I even asked for a refund, but no refund was given. So basically, I paid to get this done to me. Never again will I go here.

Heather South Here are the official before and after pictures!! I have to give a big shout out to Jean Lowers. She did an amazing job with my hair. Coming from Nashville, Tennessee, I had to find a new hairstylist. Im one who likes to commit to one person so that they get to know my style and more importantly, my hair. Therefore, I was nervous when I sat in her chair, but felt like Jean had the experience to back up my high expectations. She delivered even more than I expected and I am super happy with the results. As you can see from the before picture, I let my hair grow out for quite some time and my roots were extremely long. My hairdresser from TN would have killed me because it takes a great deal of skill and work to make sure the line where your hair grows out does not show. It took multiple processes to get my hair back to where it belonged and today, its still healthy and shiny! I have high expectations and would STRONGLY recommend her for anyone looking for color. She can safely change you to the color of your choosing =D

Shannon G Ive been going to this salon for a couple of years now and seeing Brittany Roley for even longer. I paid for hair extensions 8 days ago. I was told by Brittany that the hair takes 2 days to come in. My appointment to put the extensions in was today at 1 pm. This was all in preparation for my wedding on Saturday that Brittany knew about. She messaged me today around 10am (day of my appointment) saying the shipment was delayed and offered to come in Saturday in case they made it in. It’s my wedding is on Saturday. I have every minute booked. And who knows if the extensions will even be in by then? I asked for a refund because there is no way I could come in between now and then. She immediately fired me as a client because I asked for a refund for a product she was responsible for ordering and providing that did not come in on time. **side note, I was not told once that hair extensions were non refundable nor was I provided with a receipt of any kind stating that. It was clear she didn’t order them in enough time and it was an unfortunate mishap with the shipping. I not once blamed her for that. It’s how she handled it that was terrible. Also, I went in last week and the salon is disgusting. I asked for tea and they gave me a cup with a lip stick on it. They also sat me down in a salon chair that had someone else’s hair on it and all around... no wiping down. Clearly no concern for cleanliness

Emily Waldmann I want to preface this review by saying that I have been coloring my hair for 10+ years and have never come out with hair that was so bad that it needed a color correction. This is the one time that has ever happened to me, was at this salon. I am not going to mention any names in this review because I don’t want to bash people publicly. However, the stylist I was working with was an apprentice and I expected the appointment to take a long time and maybe not turn out perfectly. What I ended up with was 7-8 hours at the salon and coming out with hair that looked worse than what I came in with. My apprentice stylist was supposed to have a mentor with her who seemed to also be steering her the wrong way with what to do with my hair. I went home and washed my hair and after a few washes about half of it turned an orange color at the ends. Needless to say I was very disappointed. I was offered a rebook free of charge but then told a new appointment couldn’t be accommodated for another 3 weeks. I spent one of my very rare days off paying $200 for a service that was not only not what I asked for, but also took twice as long as usual. I was very disappointed that the mentor did not intervene more and help guide the new stylist. I would not go to this salon. The only positive part of this was that the people were very friendly while I was there at the salon. This work was not up to par with other salons in the area. I got a beautiful color correction at a different salon that was miles better than the work done here. ** editing this review to add that just a few hours after I posted this review, the salon is posting photos of my hair on their instagram page and tagging me in them. This happened after I voiced that I was disappointed and upset with the service I received. The hair in those photos has specific lighting and filters which make it look better, and this is immediately following the appointment. This is not accounting for the poor toning job that was done which made my hair turn an orange shade after washing it.** I did not go home and wash my hair immediately I waited 2 days. And then I washed it every other day and after a few days it was turning orange. This is not my fault - I can’t be expected to never wash my hair. Once again, this has never happened to me before so I know how to take care of quality color work. And you say we all thought your hair looked great - but your salon was closed for 2 hours before I left because the service took so long so you never saw my hair…

Jackie Oliveros Went today for the first time (5/23/24) to get a balayage and cut. I had Lindsey and let me tell you, she absolutely killed it!!!! I have had a hard time finding a salon that I absolutely loved and I finally found it. I walked out feeling like a million bucks and even my husband said it’s the best result out of all the past salons I’ve been to. ❤️

Vera S Emily cut my hair unevenly, dyed my hair a completely different color than discussed and overcharged me. The color was completely random different colors, and none of it even made it to the roots of my hair. (About 2cm off on the entire color). I still had dye on my forehead when I left. I will NEVER let her touch my hair again. Completely disappointed in the service.

Kelly Mask My daughter took me to this place for a Mothers day haircut and I loved it. I will be going back for a coloring very soon. I just want to say that Emily did a great job cutting and styling my hair, I would recommend her and this place to anyone. I also just fell in love with the whole look of the place, the wall decor,the plants the color of the walls is just adorable and makes you feel welcomed and relax. The place is awesome and the puppy that had me thinking he was a looking in my soul with the cutest old man eyes was just a great addition. I cant wait for me and my daughter both to return and get are hair colored.

Jude Dore My friends and I are from out of town and wanted to go check out The Happy Crow, on the side of this business. We couldn’t find a parking lot for The Happy Crow and pulled into the salon parking lot, confused as to where we were. The parking spot we pulled into did have a sign saying “for salon only,” but we thought the salon wasn’t open and the other cars were for The Happy Crow. As soon as we stepped out of the vehicle, a woman from Mickiez Salon rushed out the door and started yelling at us “Can you read that sign?! Can you read?! Get out!” We quickly got in the car and drove off. Hopefully this woman was a client and not a worker. I understand you ladies probably have to deal with this a lot, but you’ll get a lot more customers to come to your establishment if you stop running them away. Before we exited the car, I had told my husband how the salon was cute and we should see if they were open this week for us to get haircuts. After that very rude woman yelled at us and treated us badly, we will definitely not be going or telling anyone from our friends and families to visit as well. Hopefully that woman will change and wish this establishment good luck in changing the culture inside.

Stephanie Peddicord Emily did horrible on my moms hair. Plus she paid extra for a different color and that didnt show up one bit either. Dont go to this lady she doesnt know what shes doing and she was just graduated recently.. she refused to fix her hair and was very rude and wanted a lot of extra money to fix it. She also cut my bangs way shorter than I told her to and when I went to pay her she counted it and I needed change back and she was acting like she could just keep it.. nope wont be back ever.
