Chrzanowski Jody “Jodski” Tried Great Clips out for 1st time and Ill definitely be going back there when we come back to St. Augustine. If a fade cut is what u need I highly recommend Mai. She gave me the best skin fade Ive had in years frfr. Shes quick and fade was tight. Good conversation as well. U wont be disappointed!

D D ******GO ANYWHERE ELSE***** SAVE YOUR HAIR!! I WENT IN AS A FIRST TIME CLIENT. Asked for touch up of my current balayage and came out looking like an 80s hair band singer vs a cheetah. My top hair was dyed BLACK, which bled into my highlighted hair turning it ORANGE! The bottom of my hair was also dyed BLACK!?! I was told she was going to darken it up a little to make it "blend" better. I mean, the salon was very dark, I had no idea what the color actually looked like until I got into my car. ALL MY HAIR STYLISTS KNOW YOU DONT DARKEN A BALAYAGE!!! I got home and my husband was shocked. He said I should go back. I was trying to give the stylist the benefit of the doubt so 2 hrs later, I text the stylist asking for advise since it was quite a bit darker than I was expecting. She said to wait and the color would fade... I wore my hair in a bun for 2 weeks I was so embarrassed walking around looking like a German shepherd! I messaged her again which she offered to try and fix but couldnt get me in for another 3 weeks!!?? What? I then contacted the owner. ANGELA. No help. Basically, did not offer help, nor a refund and stated that she "just rents the booths out" and "contact the stylist". WOW. As an owner?? Your reputation is worth this? OKAY. I went elsewhere, $200 LATER and 4 hours of stripping dye out of my hair it looked descent. I contacted THE OWNER asking for a refund since I paid so much to correct her stylist mistake and she said "Im on vacation for the next 2 weeks so ask the stylist for a refund" AM I IN THE TWILIGHT ZONE??? APPARENTLY ANGELA COULD CARE LESS ABOUT CLIENTS BEING PLEASED OR THE REPUTATION OF HER SHOP. PLEASE BEWARE. SAVE YOUR HAIR AND GO ANYWHERE ELSE!!! These people know nothing about business, nothing about owning mistakes and nothing about accountability.

Sarah Masters Stephanie Skinner is the best. Shes attentive and listens to what you want and delivers a great style every time. Everyone is friendly here, I dont think you could have a bad experience.

Tina Schnur I called Eric he got me right in the first time I have ever been to Mimosas. Eric was very welcoming and listened closely to how I wanted my hair colored , cut etc… He did an amazing job and went over and beyond for my experience to be a rememberable one! I’m so very happy and will definitely be back and I’m proud to say that Eric is my hair stylist now! It’s so hard these days to be able to really trust anyone but Eric most definitely has my vote! Thank you Eric!!

Bob Z. I have been going there for almost 20 years or so and they are a great locally owned place with great hair cutters, at least for me but I see others getting different hair services. I have seeing Pam for a long time but I have never heard a bad comment about any of the others - highly recommended!

Janet Barger Was very disappointed. Made an appointment 5 days ago with Heather. Arrived about 10 minutes early. Heather was washing someone’s hair so I was willing to wait. Another hairdresser asked about washing my hair and I said yes. She then cut and dried it. I should have spoke up and said I would wait. Everything was so rushed I was in and out in 15 minutes. Really expect the person I make an appointment with to be the one I see.

Eve Beth El I have had great experiences every time I have had my hair styled here! Karen did my highlights and hair cut , she did exactly what I had asked for . I have had highlights done elsewhere and they turned out Orange. Karen had to fix this and she did a great color. Then Joe did my haircut and style and it looked awesome. Leslie did a bangs trim and texturized them and lightened the weight to perfection. Sandy did my partial highlights and they turned out lovely. Every stylist at Fantastic Sams that I have been to is so professional and really listens to what you the customer actually wants! I highly recommend Fantastic Sams in St.Augustine!

Kim Osborne A kids cut is $15. My son came in with short, thick hair and needed a trim. She charged him for 2 haircuts because he has so much hair. My question is, if someone came in with long hair and wanted short hair, would they be charged twice? The pricing clearly states a kids cut is $15, men’s cut is $20, etc. It doesn’t mention that the price depends on HOW MUCH hair you have at the time you come in. My husband took my son, so he wasn’t sure what was going on. I will be calling the manager tomorrow when they open. RIDICULOUS.

Lynn Jernigan If you are thinking about it, DONT! 1st sign should have been when Sandi laughed at me when I asked the price for a perm with curls, ringlets. But I set it up anyway. Had perm done, went back the next day and told her it was not what we talked about she agreed. Set it up to redo the top and side to give it the curls we talked about. After round 2 and her cutting my hair because she said it was too long to hold the curl. I still do not have what we discussed I have a worse mess then before I went to see her.

Celine Compass Rose Made an appointment with Stacy. When I arrived someone said they had tried to reach me ( didn’t get an email, text or call) and that Stacy wasn’t at work today. I was told someone else could take the appointment.. which turned out to be a junior stylist. I walked out. Better communication would be appreciated since I drove 40 minutes to get there. And to top it all off, I just received an email that says I was a no show?!?

She was kind and patient and engaged in conversation store was clean manager was involved. This review was for the hair Cuttery in Cobblestone by Publix in St Augustine .

Courtney Skeens Go see Stacy! She does amazing with color and layered cuts! Made my dull multi colored horrible at home dye job hair look amazing! And they layers she put in look so good! Great experience and will be booking again! Also, the prices are pretty unbeatable compared to the other super expensive salons in the area and environment is chill.

L. Sebrell I went there for the first time and Brittany was Awesome! She listened, was kind, and did a great job cutting my hair. She has a new client that will return for highlights.

Crystal Hughes I don’t usually go to Great clips, cost cutters etc because this is something I have always worried about. I had gotten my hair cut and was having some issues and it seemed as if my hair wasn’t growing (Not like normal) so fast forward and I got everything taken care of and my hair had grown down to my lower back (with the occasional trim). I finally thought to myself “I’m going to go get it cut in a shoulder length angled bob” I wish I would have never went in. I explained to her that I wanted an angled bob and I wanted it thinned and the front to touch my collarbone. She put my hair in a ponytail and just chopped it off, as soon as she let it go I wanted to cry. My hair touched the bottom of my ear. I told her “this is way to short” I went home and no matter what I did, I could not get it to look good. The hair on my left side almost touched the bottom of my face and the hair on my right side touched the bottom of my ear. I called and spoke with the manager and she so kindly fixed it but she said the original lady at cut it angled on one side and straight across on the other. Neither one of them thinned it. It was a nightmare. I will never go there again

Nick Savage I went in to get a trim of my mullet and this lady straight up gave me a undercut half way up the back of my head, I will never go back there, I had to get it redone the same day and I wanted to ask her why she would do that without asking first

Vaughn Collins Avoid this location at all costs. I had my haircut here 5 times. It was my own fault. Not a good haircut a single time.

-Space- -Dust- This is the worst haircut I’ve ever received in my life. It is choppy, way too short, and makes me look like I’m wearing a wig. The stylist also proceeded to shave off my sideburns when that was never asked of her. I was quite proud of my facial hair and now I’m stuck clean shaven with a horrid haircut that is not what I asked for. This will be the last time I visit great clips.

Geoff H Every stylist is good at cutting hair. But they’re going to cut it the way THEY want, not the way YOU want, no matter how much you describe it or show them pictures.

Terri Johan Was fed up n wanted to get my hair cut with this summer heat...called ahead n they took walk ins & got price. Got in right away. I showed Devon a photo of a cut that was maybe 3 inches long, a lil messy... similar to Rinnas forever haircut, kinda sorta... anyway, ended up with it being so short in the back you can barely grab it with finger tips in places, on one side. One side was shaved behind my ear, the other side was an inch or more longer. I tried to even it up myself, then grabbed the longest pieces and had hubby trim those. She shaved part of my hair along neckline it was so short, and the side that was shaved behind my ear had hairs 4 inches long.... When I called in, I was told itd be $15. It was $20 plus tip, which I didnt want to leave, but did. Not going back. I assume the older couple are owners, they were so very nice. Hate leaving a negative review, its not a reflection on them, just on the one that cut my hair, she didnt even introduce herself, had no idea what her name is til I saw debit transaction go through. Devon that cut my hair didnt even speak morexthan 10 words to me She dumped the hair from the cape onto my feet. I stood up, she said sit back down so she could cut more, getting hair inside my shirt, while "evening it up". Then said it was 20. Ugh. Disappointing. Thankfully my hair grows fast, its a disaster. Embarrassing, honestly.

Spencer Santiago The worst haircut I’ve ever gotten. There is a reason it’s $15 I guess because I could have done better myself. I walk in and this woman just stairs at me and says can I help you? I was in a pinch and needed a cut so I went to her chair. She didn’t even try. I told her I liked my length on top and she cut it all down. Was cutting my hair with one hand not holding the hair with the other and used about 4 different clippers on me. She was either high or just didn’t care at all. These people need to be vetted by the owner is this shop.
