Alexandra Nina Please do not throw your money in that place, I saw it online and I wanted to take my girl because she was on her birthday, I asked her for an appointment for 10am, we arrived before 10, and the salon was closed, we waited and I was calling some cell phones that they had and they never responded, the place on the other hand and I had to go out to look for the salon very stressed because my girls birthday party was at 1 pm, almost all the salon are by appointment. Thank God I found an excellent beautiful salon excellent service and cheaper. Dont make the same mistake as me. I wish all the best to this Miledy’s salon I hope you learn about customer service, to be very respectful of the customer, the customer is the one who gives us the food remember that, that you organize the room a little more you dont need to be with a lot of money if you cant but with a little more presentation

Lina Martinez Miledys Hair Salon is one of the best Dominican salons in Tampa. Miledys & her daughter Milvia are very Humble & Caring. They treat their customers like Family. You go in looking like an "OGRE" and you come out looking like "Royalty".

e g I simply LOVE when my elderly mom is treated well. They did an amazing job with her hair, and she came out so happy. She said the dressers are very kind and welcoming Cuban ladies, and thank goodness for them. Oh, and affordable. Taking mom here from now on!!!

My Duyen Ngo I wanted to get a hair cut since my hair got too long and damaged. A guy did amazing job and I love my short hair now! I think they really good at Asian hair, came in and out in 15 mins and got exactly what I wanted. Will be back!

Triet Nguyen It’s difficult finding someone to cut Asian hair in the Tampa Bay Area. But I’ve been going to Kyle for a bit now and he does a good job every time. I usually just give him a general idea of what I want and let him do his thing. This time around I grew out my hair (naturally have straight hair) and showed him this reference photo. He permed it, trimmed it, and it came out great. Would recommend!

leigh Chang BE CAREFUL COMING HERE. Very frustrating and disappointing experiences. I questioned the mismatch of the quality of haircut with the price they asked. Becky and Kyle are very rude. They bullied me and intimidated me, threatening me to make me feel I was going to be harmed if I wouldn’t pay the exact number they asked in the beginning. Showing picture to Becky and Kyle about what you expected will not be helpful. My hair was treated with straightening although I expressed to Becky that I dont like it in the beginning,. A treatment of hair softening is $180 with simple hair cut. If they want to become a high profile stylist, its not gonna work by tackling the money from customers without improvement on their techniques!

Steven Nguyen Becky is great! Specializes in Asian hairstyles and at a reasonable price! Very rare to find someone who can cut Asian hair well and she will tell you what looks good for your face shape! Highly recommend!

rebecca blocker I can attest that this salon will do wonders to your hair. My hair is hard to stay straightened due to the humidity. However, when they did it, it lasted way longer than I expected. The money is worth it.

Venusian Hotspot I came there a few months ago and my hair was done by a woman im so mad i forgot her name and it was so beautiful and she knew what she was doing. My recent experience was with a new person and the job was done but it just hurt so bad. Its important when doing afro textured hair that the right tools are being used. You need better detangling brushes and combs for curly hair. And if hair is more tangled its best to wet and deep condition and put under the dryer and then detangle and shampoo/condition. Also i question the sanitation practices. Women just get up and out of the seats but no sanitation is happening . Everything should be clean after each client. And i wanted rollers because they give the hair a thicker look and i just got clips no rollers.

Yirgat Wolde I recently visited this salon expecting to see Maria, but I was informed she had left. The stylist assured me she could do just as well, but after spending five and a half hours there - when it was supposed to take a maximum of two hours—I was hit with a $225 charge far more than what was quoted over the phone. When I questioned the price, the stylist overreacted, called me cheap, and even called the police, threatening me if I didn’t pay. I waited over 10 minutes for the police, but eventually decided not to wait any longer. To make matters worse, none of the staff spoke English, making the situation even more frustrating. This experience was unprofessional and stressful. I won’t be returning and definitely cant recommend this place to anyone after Maria left.

Stacy Smith Well,where do I start.im so ticked right now that I can hardly think how to write this review.i brought my sister to the great clips here on Hillsborough avenue,in the Publix plaza My sister is in a wheelchair.So I was pushing her in the door to get her hair cut.One of the male employees ( black male)started to step away from his station to come and help us get into great clips ,the black lady that is currently there,put her hand in front in front of him and told him no no no when she seen he was trying to help us.Now before anyone wants to turn this into a racial thing, because I mentioned the ethnicity of the people who are involved. Let me first say that I did that to let people know who this lady is. She is a black lady. But that doesnt mean anything to me, because my husband is black, my children are black, my grandchildren are black, my great-grandchildren are black. So her being black has no significance with me. As far as Im concerned shes ignorant. This happened on January 30th 2025 between 5:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. at the Great clips on West Hillsborough avenue in the Publix plaza. Hopefully someone who was an authority at the Great clips corporation will read this and know exactly who I am talking about. thats why Im giving time dates and ethnicity of this woman. Another thing she cant follow directions either. I showed her a picture of my sisters hair I told her to cut it in a bob, just like the picture says. Short. And she didnt cut it near short as I told her in the picture.Not only can she not follow instructions she has no capacity ,no feeling, no nothing when it comes to handicapped people. If she did ,she would let that man help us get in the door. OR better than that she could have to sit in the door. Frankly I didnt need any help getting my sister in the door ,Ive been doing this for almost 4 years now. Its principle of the thing that she actually stopped that man from coming to help us get in the door.

AMBAR PINEIRO For the title: BEWARE! Not Kid-Friendly – poor cutting job. Lacks Customer Service and Emotional Intelligence! If I could give zero stars, I would. Our experience with Herbert was extremely disappointing and not at all suited for children. I was there the entire time, playing cartoons and ensuring my son was calm and well-behaved—he did great. Even the female barber nearby complimented how well he behaved but then criticized other children who were less cooperative, which felt inappropriate. Kids are still learning, and a bit of patience, kindness, love and understanding should be expected. It was clear that they simply don’t like working with kids. Herbert’s attitude was unprofessional, sighing heavily, looking frustrated, and showing no interest in making my son comfortable. I stood there with him the entire time to make sure he was as still as possible and felt comfortable with me there. The haircut itself was poorly done, with uneven patches left uncut. Unlike other barbers who engage and interact, Herbert seemed completely uninterested in providing a good experience. If you’re looking for a welcoming, professional environment for your child, I would highly recommend choosing a different barber. There’s a clear lack of customer service and emotional intelligence here.

Veronica Freeman This review is not for the shop its for the stylist Carla that works out of this shop. She is very unprofessional. She did my plaits almost on 09/18/20 and the next day 3 of my plaits hot lose and fell out. I called her the next day she did them over. 3 days later they get lose again and very upset. So on 10/02/20 half of my plaits in the back fell out so I texted her ask can she fix them and when no response. So today 10/06/20 I sent a text again bc im really mad now bc a plait fell out in Publix. So replied back very rude bc I told her as a stylist if you dont agree on what the client may want to suggest other options and she tells me im grown she dont have to tell.me anything. She correct I am grown and youre my stylist if you think I should have smaller plaits say so. She was very argumentative with me. She is propably the reason this shop got 1 star

Nicholle Durham Royal Roots Hair Care [Latresha] I was not going to write another review until my character was attacked as shes trying to rebuttal my picture of her work. I was early and read a book during my appointment while she was watched tv. I could not see my hair nor the style until she finished. 1 mirror in her space which was to my back. I paid for small/medium what I received was HUGE. I only booked as she was recommended by someone at church and my stylist is on maternal leave. Not only was the style not what I paid for. I never attacked her as a person. I paid in full with no tip. I did leave abruptly after I saw my hair and questioned tge size, she shrugged me off like there was no problem. She kept sweeping to be exact. I will not argue. I paid her 180 went next door to get change as I refused to tip her. By the time I got cash she charged my card $5. Not a problem in my book at all. I was and am upset as I wasted time and money. Because of her attack on my character I have filed a grievance with BBB and FL licensing board. You look at the picture and tell me if those are small/medium plaits. Not even as pictured on her site. Good day Latresha. You cant do people wrong and think its okay. You are correct, youre not the stylist for everyone. ***** According to FL DBPR, no active license on file by stylist name nor her salon. As of 5/17/21 @9:05A ****** I appreciate your response (Unique Salon.) I have already contacted the BBB & FL DBPR regarding her service and now character assassination. I am also aware of the licensing leniency during the pandemic that is still in effect. This review as any other is for someone that is looking and is not aware. Again, I only booked as she was recommended and I saw the exact style on someone I know and trust. Thank you ‐------- Another stylist saw the picture and braided my hair in the EXACT style I paid for 7 days prior. Picture posted below.

TallyTastingTampa This building has many different small businesses within it. Several stylist from all walks of life with amazing skills. From barbers to locticians it seems to have a little bit of everything. Great location overall.
