Beth Beth My first experience with Community Health NW Florida was accompanying my granddaughter for her visit. I’m medical personnel for 50 years. All the medical professionals from the reception area to the Exam Room were polite, professional and thorough. Both my granddaughter and I were very comfortable with her caregivers and are grateful for their excellent care. Our appointment took less than an hour.

Kaylyn Davis I have had way too many bad experiences at this place. Every single person who works here acts like they dont wanna work here, including everyone in the back actually dealing with patients. Every single time Ive gone in here, Ive been forgotten about in my room. Ive tried to put it past them assuming they are too busy but even when they arent I am still miraculously forgotten about and taken too long to get to. Recently Ive been dealing with a raging UTI due to my job. You can imagine how in pain and upset I am. So I go in on a Saturday. They close at 6 and I know this. However I arrive at 5:05 and despite there being no one in there, I am still told that they are "at capacity". For who exactly? Where is everyone thats supposed to be holding up this capacity? She didnt even ask me if my issue wouldve taken long or not. All I wanted was a UTI test, prescription filled out, even if I couldnt get it that day it doesnt matter, and then leave. But no they just denied me. I was too irate to deal with anyone at this point so I left. But to everyone working here I genuinely hope they never get front desk, nursing, or pharmacist jobs ever again. I hope you find work elsewhere because yall are too busy kiking and cutting it up to pay attention to your patients. I genuinely have been forgotten about because these nurses wont stop yapping to each other about nothing. Its never them talking about work. Never. Not to mention this has been happening for too long EVERYWHERE that treats patients, including MAJOR HOSPITALS. Find ppl who can do the right thing and not IGNORE YOUR PATIENTS. Or just shut it all down all together at this point. I have an Aunt with cancer, and she still cant get treated properly due to this weird nurse culture, and due to doctors being misinformed and ignorant of their patients symptoms. WE ARE TIRED OF NOT GETTING TREATED PROPERLY!! It cant be that hard to hire the right people, it really cant.

Olivia Crayne I honestly don’t understand all the bad reviews? It had me SCARED to come in here but this was my first time and the ladies at the front desk were so sweet and helpful. The nurses (Brittney and the man w a sleeve lol) were also very sweet and helped figure out what I needed to get better. Thank you guys for caring!! It is beyond appreciated

Onur Mengi Great walk-in service. Had to visit here after another urgent care because they didn’t diagnose or treat my issue just told me ibuprofen. Went here and found out I had tendinitis. This facility made sure to be thorough and get me out of there as quick and efficiently as possible.

Lama Bean Ive been coming to this hospital for months and I must say the Radiology department is hands down the best department in the hospital. Every time I need to go and get imaging done the front desk lady is quite funny and provides an welcoming presence. The techs in the back for X-rays are professional and very helpful answering any questions that I had. When I had to followup with an MRI for my ankle the techs were outstanding!!!! What a breath of fresh air to have such an outstanding department within this hospital.

Steve Massengale No one ever picks up the phone. Not the appointment line, and certainly no one on any clinics. Also, whose bright idea was it to eliminate a 24 hr ER at a major military installation’s hospital?
2 /5
LJ Its been 3 weeks since referrals were sent for car after a car accident and non of the referrals were ever sent to the providers. I have called referral management 4 times asking for help and the only help I get is.. "the authorizations are in the system they do have them". What are the odds that 4 referrals sent to 4 different providers, and they all are saying the same thing. 3 weeks waiting for care, in pain and cant get simple medical work such as an MRI.

Matthew They never answer the phone. Its a little difficult to judge them on much else when you cant even get an appointment. Really cool when your only option for receiving medical care isnt even responsive.

sean miller The initial workers were great, zero criticisms, but my nurse practicioner did not give me a chance to speak, and didnt give me a chance to refuse a prescription for a drug that has not worked for me in the past. This has happened more than once, so Im going to stop using this clinic.

Jerome Shannon On January 17, 2025 I was admitted to Baptist Hospital for an aortic aneurysm repair surgery. Following that surgery, I had two brain surgeries on 1/22 and 1/24, and am now receiving radiation therapy and chemotherapy for brain cancer. I can say without a shadow of doubt that Baptist Hospital is a world-class facility dedicated to saving lives and creating the best lives possible for its patients. I was in hospital for ten days and every employee of Baptist made me feel as if my care and my positive outcome was the most important thing to them. The level and quality of care I experienced is absolutely second to none. As I continue my care as an out-patient I am even more impressed with Baptist Hospital and the level of care provided by its employees. Baptist Hospital is just not a health care facility, it is a community of like minded souls who are dedicated to providing every patient with the highest level of care and the most positive outcome for their longterm success. I recommend Baptist Hospital most strongly and with no reservations. I am living proof of the incredible work being done in this facility. Pensacola is lucky to have a hospital of such high standards in our community.

Gregory Stachel Read through the reviews and just reiterating what a lot are saying. My grandfather entered by EMS (which if he didn’t, I think we would have been waiting all day). Everyone was in the emergency department was rude. They kept saying how packed the hospital was (basically saying they’re understaffed). Like I don’t understand how you can build a new hospital and then be overfilled. The staff didn’t understand their own systems and were frustrated at the computers. No one came to help my grandfather use the restroom and he peed on himself multiple times. At some point, I started asking the staff if we should go to another hospital because everyone was stressed out, acting rude and snapping on me. The doctor never followed up with me in the 8 hours I was there. We usually go to gulf breeze Baptist and I have never felt this way there. They’ve always been friendly to my grandfather and I and they never have a long wait. So I dont understand what’s happening with the Pensacola location. Also the food at “big Baptist” is pitiful. How can a hospital cafeteria serve fried chicken, meatball subs and pizza? Like they should be ashamed of themselves for that. If you’re preaching to people to be healthier, serve healthier food.

Lauri Desport I wish I could give zero stars! I took my husband here two weeks ago for what we suspected was a pulmonary embolism, which he has had before, so we are very familiar with the symptoms. They called him in for triage and various lab work, and continued to send him back to the waiting room, waiting for at least an hour or two each time. We told the tech at triage we thought it was another pulmonary embolism. He was sent back to the waiting room. They took a chest X-ray and said there was no blood clot (should have done a CT scan for his symptoms). Sent back to the waiting room. They told us it wasn’t an emergency, or he would have been called back right away. We sat for 7 hours, until 1:30 AM, without ever being treated for this, or having a dr examine him. I complained to the desk clerk we had spoken to when we first checked in, and she shrugged it off with a smile on her face. We were told that there were other people waiting for just as long, but the true emergencies were being treated first. There was a tech coming around taking blood pressure from people waiting. I recorded his at 193/117, and she said she would keep an eye on him, but never came back to check on him. We finally left at 1:30 AM, never having been examined by a doctor. We told multiple people that he felt like it was another blood clot, and they did not listen, nor did they care. The next day he was taken by ambulance to Gulf Breeze hospital with a pulmonary embolism and pneumonia! This particular ER at the main Baptist Hospital could have killed him! They blatantly ignored his history and symptoms. 7 hours with absolutely no help or relief. We will never go back to this facility again. If you need an ER, go to the one on University and Nine Mile. They are much nicer, more attentive, and know what they’re doing. I would not recommend this ER to anyone.

Chris Phillips Dr. Vernon absolutely destroyed my life with unnecessary surgery. Im in pain as we speak 8 months later. I was met with a total dismissal by his staff and the hospital admin upon bringing this to their attention.

Jack Smith I had surgery there in August 2023. The surgery started a little late, but there was nothing to be done about that. The only issue i had was it took the 4 tries to get my IV going. Ive had multiple surgeries and a dozen IVa and 100 blood draws, and this was the first time it took more than 1st try. The rooms are clean, spacious, and its quite. Ill be there tomorrow March 7th for the same surgery (the first try didnt work)

Jessica Thomas Whomever answered my phone call on 12/4/24, which a half introduction, and ghetto tone, please fire her and replace her. It is one thing to answer a phone call in the manner she did, but to handle a person in the manner that I was handled was very unnecessary and ending the entire phone call with, WELL IT’S UP TO YOU, was not needed. She needs either better training or a different occupation. Unlike a few people I see that come through that door, I’m nothing of the sort and will not be spoken to that way. She showed lack of education, lack of compassion, and lack of professionalism. She by far is a person I would want to be over anything dealing with my information and/or child’s information. She spells out, gossip, rude, less than lower class, and mediocre education. Just generally speaking from the heart

John Ransom I usually dread dealing with government facilities and programs because of the bureaucratic maze you have to navigate to get anything done, however I was pleasantly surprised on my recent visits to the Health Department. The staff was provided the most personable and friendly service I have ever experienced with a government organization. I dealt with 5 individuals over 2 visits and each staff member was very cheerful and helpful. I had an appointment (which speeds things up a lot) and was in and out in less than fifteen minutes. Main entrance is in the back, the lot entrance on Fairfield is easy to miss.

Erika Iversen The scheduling appointments for vaccinations is the worst Ive seen for a business. Its always a true struggle. I have not tried the other areas of the department. The Building is relatively clean. Staff is friendly in person. Sometimes they run out of certain types of travel vaccine so be sure to ask before you show up for an appointment.

Courtney Hannor Today 2/28/2022 was my first time at this place. My sons dental appt was originally scheduled for 11:30am. I received a phone call from this health dept around 9:30am asking if we could move his appt to 11. Ok cool, get in get out right? NO! I arrived at 10:45 waiting at least 15 min just to check in. I finally check in, get my paperwork, sit, and turn in all my documents. Now mind you its pretty busy at this point but Im seeing more people come out the back than theyre calling to the back so Im thinking maybe it wont be too bad. 1 hr and 40 min later Im still in the lobby wondering how am I still waiting on an appt that was moved up 30 min......Everyone in the lobby that been there before me was gone including the people in line before and after me!! But wait theres more!! To top it all off they called out 2 more people names after everyone that was there before and after me had already left.... Ive finally had enough at this point and politely get up and leave with my son. As Im buckling him into his car seat they call me on my phone letting me know they are now calling me to the back(no I didnt go back in). If youre reading this I hope you have a better experience but if not youve been warned. If it was possible this place wouldnt even get 1 star from me. The pic attached is the lobby after being there over an hr and still waiting.

Ortavious Porterfield please fire the light skin girl with the freckles that works reception she is awful. Ghetto, low class and very unprofessional. If a patient comes in upset you don’t get upset as well you remain calm and see what you can do to help them and if not leave that person alone. She did not do that she wanted to argue with me and she did. Derick was no help I asked for a close appointment in June he set it for September when he had options because the last time I had a issue my appointment was the following week not months later

Kayley T PLEASE go anywhere else if you want to survive. I had Dr Schneider for my pregnancy, her bedside manner was great. However, don’t let that fool you. Towards the end of my pregnancy, I started getting flu like symptoms. I kept calling her office asking to be seen or to go ahead and schedule an induction because I was in so much pain and very ill. They told me no. Ignored my symptoms, and told me that I could go to the emergency room if I needed to. Turns out for the last month of my pregnancy I had very high blood pressure. At my 40 week appointment that they made me wait for I got sent to labor and delivery. Dr. Schneider was not present because she’s off on weekends. I had the on-call doctor in the hospital. Unfortunately, the on-call doctor was busy when it came time to push. I got poked six times in the back by an anesthesiologist that couldn’t get the needle in my back. My blood pressure dropped significantly and I had to be put on oxygen. After my daughter came out mind you I did this all natural, I had to get stitches I was begging the midwife for pain medication. I had just given birth and she’s giving me stitches inside of my vagina. She literally said OK I can give you a Motrin. Have you people lost your mind? My back was in severe pain from getting poked multiple times not to mention I just gave birth. And you wanna give me a Motrin? I was in pain and My blood pressure continued to escalate. I ended up spending a week in the hospital. I was dealing with severe anxiety from bp medication I couldn’t sleep. I was in excruciating pain for the first 24 hours. Dr. Schneider saw me one time at the end for 5 sec to release me to go home. Not to mention, you will be waiting close to four hours for each appointment. I understand having to wait to see a doctor, but there were a lot of times where they would mess up scheduling and I wouldn’t even be called back. That was my last baby!

Felicia Raye During early pregnancy I started having symptoms of miscarriage/ectopic pregnancy. The staff refused to do anything, told me they wouldn’t see me sooner then my confirmation appointment and when I point blank asked “well if something is wrong, if I’m miscarrying, then what? It’s just fine?” And she said “well yeah there’s not really anything I can do for you.” For a practice that is meant for pregnant women, they do NOT care about you or your wellbeing clearly.

Alyssa Forrest If I could give 0 stars I would. Run don’t walk. This office is beyond unorganized. You’ll be waiting hours for your appt just for them to reschedule or you’ll get there and they’ll tell you Dr. Schneider isn’t there with no call ahead of time to let you know so you aren’t coming all the way in for nothing. I’m here at Baptist 6:45am to get my Glucose test done before my appt today @9am - I came because I work and it’s hard for me to take time off… wake up early, drive all the way here and Dr. Schneider never even took the time to put the order in. Not to mention she’s missed 3/5 appts and the last appt I had lasted LEGIT no more than 3 min. If I wasn’t so far along I’d switch doctors and still plan on calling around today. Absolutely absurd - we’re dealing with anxiety, stress, new life… plus, I’m technically high risk and no one has treated me so. Do not go here.

Dan DO NOT COME HERE. They are rude and not professional. They never gave us a smile. We come there because we worry about baby, we want to see if baby is still ok. We were late 8 minutes because the traffic but we already checked in online. They were not busy but they refused to see us. I feel like we make them unhappy.

Keith Hugg Just curious if the Pensacola VA office ever reviews or comments on here. Doesnt appear so, since theres no responses to any complaints. No surprise you currently have a 2.6 star rating. The negative comments Ive read here are true. Lack of timely service, rude, dont answer phones, wait times, never review or approve requests made from an offsite provider that you sent me to for "all my needs". Everything still has to be sent back to your office reviewed and approved BEFORE any treatment plan can be started. Completely ridiculous... Is this the "best" you can do or are you just hiring any lackey off the street to work there. I guess Ill just keep going up the chain until some questions start getting answered... like thats gonna do anything... Complete Joke

John Pensacola VA Clinic has the most wonderful people. They are tops in efficiency and professionalism. No wait in many years of care from the ophthalmologist in Lima section of building. All smiles and a very pleasant experience. The technicians and doctor always treat the old man like family and saved me a fortune with advice to get glasses online at Zenni! Love these folks! Makes me miss the Army! :)

Travis My wife and I both received treatment here for 18 months. Initially everything was great and solid customer service. In December 2024 they canceled five appointments on us. Don’t expect to get anything done around the holidays because patient care apparently goes to the wayside. They couldn’t even do something as basic as schedule an appointment at times. Don’t expect a courtesy call to cancel or reschedule, you’ll likely get a random text or email.

John Gorski Recently, I had to visit the clinic, and I had some reservations about being seen there as most comments were negative. However, I must say my visit was very positive! I was greeted and directed to the area that I needed to be at. I checked in, and the receptionist was very friendly and accommodating. The specialist who performed my procedure was very professional and friendly. I must say my total experience was very positive. Makes me wonder why so many had negative experiences!

David Folsom I am disappointed with the customer service. Granted this is a busy location. Keeping up with a large volume has to be challenging. But my experience with the audiology clinic was poor. I arrived an hour before my appointment. I greeted the receptionist politely and in return I got, “name and last four.” “Ok you are checked in.” I asked for confirmation of my appointment time and was told an hour later. I asked I it would be problematic to go and get a drink down stairs. I was told. “That is up to you.” Well good morning VA. I’m glad I’m here to be your patient. No need for snarky abrupt attitude. I would like to thank the professionalism of Dr Richardson. I think is the right name. She was excellent in communication. Her engagement for a hearing test was outstanding

Alyssa Matthews I WOULD GIVE ZERO STARS IF I COULD. I told these people that I have temporal lobe epilepsy and had not been getting the nutrients my body needs because of the intestinal issues that they found over a month ago and gastro still hadnt gotten back with me to get me in... I told them I needed nutrition because without it I would start seizing.... they left me sitting for 5 hours while everyone else was treated. Eventually I started seeing things that werent there because left temporal lobe seizures cause hallucinations... they kicked me out... for an epileptic rage they caused by refusing to help. I could have sat alone in my house and died of seizures... they never gave us the results of my blood tests, people took blood without gloves and no marked vials.. they even told me that they did not have a patient advocate when I asked for one after 5 hours of sitting without fluids, or nutrition bags while I watched them do the exact thing for everyone else. In the shared room we were packed into. This was a horrendous way to be treated by medical staff who should be training in left temporal lobe seizures... but clearly they cant do that. Do not go here. Oh and Im contacting a lawyer. What they did to me was illegal and they are now charging my insurance for nothing.

Anne Kelson It took me almost 2 hours of waiting to get a 2 minute blood draw. At Baptist on 9 Mile Road it takes 15 minutes for the same service. They make you wait through all the x-rays and other services at Sacred Heart. They are worse than Lab Corp.

Amber McCoy This has been a long time coming but I have to take a stand to what happened to me. This was back in January when I was in crucial pain every single day with stomach aches and chest pains. I couldnt keep down any liquids and the only thing I could keep down barely were thicker foods like plain burgers ect. So after puking everything for 2-3 days and the terrible + nothing from my primary care doctor nor GI was working I went ahead to the hospital. I will tell you on everything I shouldve gone back to Baptist whose goal is to have you feel better before you leave. Arent all hospitals supposed to be that way?? Apparently not here. I waited 4-5 hours to be seen. When I finally get in, WORST attitudes ever. I had to defend myself when a doctor asked where on the pain chart I was (has a bunch of smiley faces and 10 shows the face crying) I said 10 than he said no cuz if youre a 10 youd be unconscious. THAN WHY IS THE SMILEY FACE CRYING INSTEAD OF UNCONSCIOUS IN THE CHART?!?? After familiar meds and the most painful shots Ive ever had... like this lady messed completely up and I was swollen for 2 months.... I was still in pain. A woman rudely came at my husband for insurance info and quickly took it before a doctor came in and was ready to check me out. I told her my pain didnt leave. She looked surprised than left and had a man come back in and say the doctor REFUSES to do anything else. So Im in the room crying from the pain and feeling completely mistreated. I felt like I was shown my life and health didnt matter. I went home bawling my eyes dry. I had to go home still nauseous and in pain. The emotional pain I had from this experience was so livid and I cant undo that night. Please do not go here. These people are doctors for the good money, not to make people feel better. I figured that out quickly while being seen.

Tracey Cook I’m over the negative staff at the medical center. The problem is there is 1 pediatric optometrist. My granddaughter has sees several physicians at Sacred Heart Medical Center. We have to go to appointments ever 6 months and she has to have tests ran often. Today we had an appointment at Dr. Micklers office for an eye appointment. When I checked in the receptionist Kera told me that we were not checked in, I told her that we had completed the check in online days before. She said we don’t have it and we can’t see her until it is complete. She just left me standing there at the counter while she stared at her computer. She did not offer any assistance. I asked her what I needed to do and she said she could send a link to my phone. I asked if they were using the iPad. She said I can give you an iPad and continued to stare at her computer. Me still standing there as if she wanted to make a point she was in control. I asked 3 times for the iPad before I walked away. While waiting she started talking to the other receptionist as if I wasn’t in the room or couldn’t hear her talking about me. She went on to say I wasn’t the mother. I quickly responded that I am her guardian and I approached the counter again. Magically my granddaughter was checked in. I spoke to the office manager about Kera dismissive demeanor and lack of understanding or empathy, which told me that Keri’s intent wasn’t to be dismissive. I disagreed with her. This isn’t the first time we have had issues with the office staff being disrespectful and dismissive. The office staff offer no empathy or understanding. We checked Harley in and their system didn’t have it. The office manager said it is a known problem. Ok then it should be addressed and assist offered to the patients and family. Dr Mickler said that the office staff are hired by HR of the medial center. The medical center needs to update their training or hold employees accountable for their negative attitudes.

Laura Carter PAIN after a Colonoscopy and call for an appointment and it’s 3 days before I can be seen again…. What has happened to our Health (non care ) system?? So I called a left a VM for the MA on the 11th or 12th in pain. ( they said they have an24 hour callback time) I just received my call back on the 23rd. Possibly because 1 person has the responsibility of 3 different Doctors patients. That is asinine, I was an MA. Very very poor patient care. They got their $ for the procedures they performed, and could care less once it was over. Edit: I left a voicemail, 3 1/2 weeks later I received a phone call back. I plan on finding a new Gastro- obviously, this has way to many patients or just plain ol do not care. Like most in Pensacola

Julie Griffin Totally unacceptable. I have been waiting for 4 days for the "referral coordinator" to call me to make an appointment. I went thru the ER last Thursday night. And dont reply with your " were sorry" response. FIX IT!!!

Angel Daigle I have had such a horrible experience to the point causing 2 hospital stays. The first time would not help until I had a colonoscopy. Well I had one and got terribly worse. They told me I had severe, pancolotis UC and basically gave me script for steroids and sent me on my way. I kept telling them I needed something I was so ill. I was in so much pain and was bleeding. Finally I was white as a ghost and frail. My blood test came back, and my hemoglobin was a 6. When I got to hospital could barely walk. They placed me in the hospital and not only did I need a blood transfusion right away, I also had c diff. The lack of care caused havoc to me. I was on there for 5 days. Got released and still had issues with getting my script. Dr. Ellis is great but his supporting staff is horrible. His PA from the beginning would not believe the pain I was in and help me in anyway. To the point I would leave crying my eyes out. Then his PA would not refill my steroids as I writing and calling daily all day- guessed where I ended up again? The hospital with c diff again. ... for another 5 days. This has been a journey I cannot explain. Guess why I am in this page again? Because I cannot get anyone to fill my scripts. Its insane what I and others are going thru. Our lives in their hands and so are our medical bills. Do better. Its inhumane
