Dougie C Ive been to a few different hospitals, the group I had in cardiac care amazed me. They worked together like a well oiled machine. They made it seem like you were the number one reason they were there. I can be some what of a pain asking questions sometimes. The nurses would always do their best to get me that answer, sometimes saying as soon as Im done with the next patient Ill come back, and they always did. To the point that one nurse came in to wish me well, adding that they didnt want to see me again, unless it was at the grocery store or beach. It may not seem like much but that kind of interaction makes a difference. All in all I didnt have one complaint about the nurses or Blake. I still have two procedures to go through down the road, Im letting my doctor know that I want them to be scheduled at Blake. I had just come from a different hospital down the road a few weeks before, there was no comparison.

K Consults No waiting. Everyone was pleasant and professional. Wheelchair was available for long walk from EKG to CT (in another building). My only issue was phone survey. I would have been more comfortable (and more honest) if it was in writing.

Julia Champ I had a fantastic experience during my outpatient surgery at HCA Florida Blake Hospital. The entire staff was welcoming, accommodating and diligent to make sure I was comfortable and prepared for surgery. The nurses were so warm and caring which made my experience much less stressful than I was expecting. Thank you for the great care!

Franci Edgerly I want to express my deepest gratitude to my incredible nurse, Dan Parker, at Blake Hospital. His exceptional care and compassionate attitude left a lasting impression not just on me but on every patient he attended to. Dan’s dedication to his work is truly inspiring and sets a standard of excellence in nursing. As a travel nurse, he exemplifies the highest level of professionalism and compassion, providing masterclass nursing care that makes a real difference in the lives of his patients. Every doctor deserves a nurse such as Dan to support them in their their patients’ care. I sincerely hope his exemplary work inspires and motivates the full-time staff. Thank you, Dan, for making a meaningful impact during a challenging time. Your care will never be forgotten!

Kaija Johnson Unfortunately, I went to the ER and was admitted to Blake. Stayed 5 nights and was taken good care of. Drs came and went and communication could have been better. Most everyone was kind and took good care of me, but one of my nurses was amazing, getting to know me on a more personal level, caring for all my needs. A big thank you to Amy on the 3rd floor!

justin sharbono Blake Hospital really helped my mom when she was not feeling well. From the moment we walked in, the staff was super nice and welcoming. They greeted us with smiles and made us feel comfortable right away. The nurses were amazing! They took the time to explain what was happening and answered all our questions. My mom felt like she was in good hands. They checked on her often and made sure she had everything she needed. The doctors were also really caring. They listened to my mom’s concerns and didn’t rush through everything, which made us feel like they actually cared. They worked together as a team, so it was nice to see everyone was on the same page about my mom’s treatment. The hospital was clean and organized, which made things easier for us during a stressful time. We didn’t have to wait too long for tests and treatments, so that was a huge relief. Overall, our experience at Blake Hospital was great! They took fantastic care of my mom, and we are so grateful for all the help we received. If anyone needs care, I would definitely recommend Blake Hospital!

Barb dahl My experience at Blake started off very well. The ER was awesome! They took care of me right away, arranged for a CT scan quickly and were attentive to my condition. HOWEVER, it then took 13 hours for me to be given a bed. 13 hours!!!!! There seems to be a lack of communication between the ER and the Admitting department. This amount of wait time is inexcusable. I was left sitting in a chair all that time even though they knew I had recently had back surgery and needed to be laying down. So I am giving the ER 5 stars, but my overall experience at Blake is 2 stars.

Franci Edgerly I want to express my heartfelt thanks and deep appreciation to the incredible team at HCA Florida Blake Hospital Emergency Room. From the moment I arrived until the time I left, I was cared for beyond my any expectations. Their nursing staff is not only highly educated and experienced but also exceptionally compassionate. In addition, they are equipped with the right tools to diagnose and treat nearly any situation—something you won’t typically find at a walk-in clinic. I am filled with gratitude for their outstanding care.

Bobbie R The reason I was in the ER was not the best experience, however, the team made it much easier to handle. Everyone was so kind and empathetic. We were seen by nearly 10 people in the matter of 30 minutes or so. It was very hard to keep track of everyone we came in contact with. It was an absolute whirlwind as the team worked quickly to assess the situation, form a plan of action, and keep us informed. I would like to note that ER Nurse Summer was simply the best. She radiated positivity! She kept us smiling and laughed along with as we made the best of what was happening. Summer, thank you for keeping my Grams in great spirits and comfortable while in your care. You made the prep, transfer, and stay that much easier. And to your shadowing nurse, keep asking up the great work and never be afraid to ask questions. You have a great role model showing you the ropes.

Brooke Maxson I was released from Blake after being admitted for a COPD exasperation. It was one of the worst hospital visits I have ever encountered. When I arrived at the emergency room via ambulance, I kept asking for something to change into because I was experiencing severe diarrhea. They finally gave me a diaper to put on and threw away my soiled underwear. The entire time I was hospitalized, I kept asking for something for my diarrhea to no avail. I was having a very hard time breathing and could not move around much. I found myself sitting in soiled paper underwear for hours. My last day in the hospital, since no one would give me medication for the diarrhea, I had some Immodium in my purse, which I took. I left the tablet wrappings on the table and when the nurse saw them, she told me that I can’t take medicine from home and showed me on my chart that Immodium had been prescribed. I asked her how many doses they had given me. Her answer was “Zero”. Case closed. Never going to Blake again!!!

Matthew Adamo First time having to use this emergency room, they delivered fast and accurate care. There was no wait and they got us right back Deanna RN took us right back and made sure everything went smoothly, keeping my comfortable while we awaited diagnostics. Dr Wiesinger was amazing and took great care of us and gave a fast diagnosis!

Olivia Lopez This emergency room is awesome. We lived in Miami and the ER visits were normally 5+ hours on average. My husband and I were both seen and released within an hour. The nurses were extremely friendly and courteous. My X-ray was done within 5 minutes after the doctor ordered it. Doctor was very patient and explained my issue thoroughly. His bedside manner was great. We are highly satisfied with our treatment and would not hesitate to go again. Thank you for your help!

Z L Ihad a wonderful experience. Dr. W was calm, cool, and collected, making my procedure quick, easy, and surprisingly painless. I truly appreciate his skill and expertise. Nurse Marie was the best nurse I’ve ever encountered! Her care and comfort were unmatched. She took the time to explain everything thoroughly, which made the entire process feel effortless. She helped me feel at ease and truly cared for. Everyone should have a nurse like Marie!

Pamela Peters At the ER located on RT 70. The immediate care is outstanding. Dr Wiesinger is thorough and communicating every detail of my partners condition. Nurse Deanna stays on top of all the tests and results. Associated with Doctors Hospital where more advanced care is advised if needed. A home run!! Peters

Bob Gibbens I couldn’t have asked for any better care from a medical facility. The wait time when we arrived was less than 2 minutes. Yolanda was the RN assigned and she was wonderful. She is very pleasant, easy to communicate, friendly and polite. The best thing…Yolanda listened carefully to what we had to say and cared. Dr. Biondolillo was also great. He came into the room within five minutes, and also listened carefully. He has a very calm demeanor and took plenty of time examining and assessing. I am very pleased with the care that I received from both Yolanda and Dr. Biondolillo.

Grimjawl 1 I made an appointment and they were 5 minutes late getting me in. After that, it was about 30 mins before the nurse came to take my blood pressure and temperature and another 10-15 before the doc finally saw me. The end results was fine, but the amount of time waiting seemed unnecessary. This was after the night before when I tried to get an appointment and the staff was rather rude.

Dennis Westney Horrible, yes I got in fast and out fast. But they didn’t do a thing. I went in because I stepped in a barnacle and have a piece of barnacle in bottom of my foot. No X-ray, no nothing told me they just had to leave it in there and I had to walk on it. Waste of money do not go to this place. I had to go somewhere else and spend money again to get it removed. My girlfriend went there also told her she had allergies when she had strep throat. Worst doctor ever. DO NOT GO THERE AND WASTE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. Had to go somewhere

mikayla hickman Here on vacation battling a very stubborn upper respiratory infection. They got us seen on a Saturday so quickly and we’re so kind. They really listened to me and wanted to understand my needs. The thing that made me choose this one was the ability to actually talk to a human before we went. She answered my questions and made me feel confident in coming in. Everyone from the Receptionist, to PA to the DR was wonderful. If I lived here this would be my primary

Aunt Betty all in all a good experience. the front desk staff was very nice, thorough. its a walk in clinic so yes, there was some wait time . considering we just showed up, were evaluated & had a prescription called in , which we picked up on the way home... consider that efficient. grateful to have an urgent care available & would recommend

Michelle Hawkins Pleasantly surprised by our experience as normally the service at an urgent care is not high quality. My daughter has felt a lot of pressure in her ears from all the swimming this week while on vacation and we could see a lot of wax build up in her ear and was concerned with an ear infection. Being from out of town we wanted to get it checked out before our flight. The MA was wonderful and spent atleast 15 minutes cleaning out both ears to relieve the pressure and the doctor was also super helpful answering all our questions and confirming no ear infection.

Shawn Green Called ahead to make sure the name on my insurance card being another doctors name needed to be changed. The woman who answered said no problem at all. Yet when I arrived for the appointment I was handed a phone number to call and paperwork to fill out when I called the number it said a wait time of 1 hour 30minutes to speak to the next available rep. Expecting a patient to sit in a waiting room for that long while the most gross humans on earth moving in and out for over an hour is unreasonable and very unprofessional. Why wasnt I told to have the name changed a week before the appointment when I called expressing concerns? Why lie and have me waist my and their time? The place looked like a pill mill. With junkies in every corner of the waiting room and a group of unsightly homeless lingering in the parking lot this is not a place anyone should have to visit.

Aaliyah Arguez Leaving a 2 star because the staff was friendly and my past experiences there were great. However in a medical office friendly is not enough. My most recent visit was just a few days ago and there were issues from the moment I went to see the doctor to extra undiscussed billing. Everyone seemed to be disorganized and none of my questions were answered.

Nikki This place is very slow. They see you hours after your booked appt. The Dr here are very slow. If you have another option choose that one. Because you will be here all day. Just ridiculous. They dont care. You wait hours for them. But if you are late they cancel your appointment. This is years its been this way.. This office needs to come up with a better solution. If you can stick to appt. Just make it a walk in. Because no one should have to wait hours. With appt.. Im sick of this place

Darius Mann This is the most unorganized place ever! They are never that busy to where your on hold for 30 minutes and no one answers! Then, nobody pays attention when making appointments. They rescheduled me twice, and I still have yet to be seen! I don’t know what kind of lazy workers they have, but hire more people if we have to wait on hold for eternity! That’s so unprofessional. Then when you show up… everyone is sitting at their desk waiting to take the next person, but no one can answer the phone! Gas is too high to be wasting anyones time or gas! I’m highly annoyed and disappointed with this place! Do better manatee county!!!!!!!

Lilia O. Fully staffed? But can’t answer a phone. I’ve been going here for awhile for my meds and hadn’t had a problem. Was late to my appointments due to personal reasons, but they took me. One woman in particular had been pretty nice to me I’ll say that. But the day before my appointment I attempted to call. Had me on hold for 45 minutes and no one answered the phone. I also owed a small fee which I went to pay for and the lady there that took me was rude as hell. “Do you speak English or Spanish” she said in which I told her a speak both. She started to reply to me in a rude tone and in a manner in which made me feel like I was stupid because I missed an appointment that they couldn’t reconfirm I had? So why add a number onto a paper in which that number is useless since no one answers there phone and leaves you on hold and or never answers.

judy barber After a pickleball mishap, an ER doc happened to be playing. He told me to go to the Palma Sola ER. Best advice! From the moment I got there I felt so comfortable. The doc on call was great, each person there from nurses to the lady who talked to us about insurance and billing could not have treated me better. This is where I’ll be going. I’ve never had to go to the ER before. Very thankful for them.

Hippie Chick Im shocked with the difference in care Ive gotten since they opened their new ER. This ER is massive, I would think they would have it under control, though, from the start. I walked in with bleeding from a wound Ive had since 2012. Usually it just seeps, like a clear fluid one occasion. Yesterday it bled like a sieve, then last night it soaked the dressing through overnight, so I sent pics to my Dr and he said "he to the ER immediately"... So here I am. They got me right in, and I was seen by a Physician Assistant very quickly. She briefly looked at my wound, then ordered a blood draw. I told her Dr Senchenkov said to get scans. They took blood (she wasnt very good at it), then I waited some more... After about 2 hours, one of the techs came in and said, "Im here to take you to Adult Waiting, where youll get your results of your tests". I was like, what tests? Oh, my blood work? Basically, they kicked me out of the room into the waiting room. So... WTH? After 15 mins, that same tech WALKED me over to get a CT scan. ❓⁉️ Thank goodness it wasnt very far. The CT techs were awesome! 100% kind, cool, & considerate. I dont understand WHY are they bringing people out of their rooms and putting them in a waiting room while their results come back? Sure, I understand that they can technically treat someone else while they wait for their results, but then theyre sitting in a waiting room when their results come back and they have no privacy when theyre told whats going on. Thats bad. They just stuck this person in the waiting room... How bad is that? To stick em there without a bed or privacy... Dont they realize how un-bloody-comfortable it is to sit in a waiting room for hours on end? They could have at least made the chairs comfortable.

Gina Riccobono The lack of care and professionalism at Manatee Memorial Hospital is deeply concerning. Critical discharge planning and patient advocacy were completely neglected. The staff failed to ensure proper post-discharge support, leaving a patient without necessary medical equipment, medications, or a safe care plan. Requests for further evaluations of sudden and serious health changes were ignored, and concerns raised by the family were met with dismissive and unprofessional remarks. This experience highlights systemic issues in patient care and communication that should not occur in any healthcare facility. I strongly urge the hospital to review and improve its policies and practices to prevent future harm to patients and their families.

Kim Heater UPDATE:: I have been getting excellent care here up until recently. I unfortunately have had a few visits due to out of control migraines. I am now getting attitude from the nurses because I have to get ultrasound ivs. Tonight 7/31 came in due to an abscess on my stomach. The doctor was extremely rude and had absolutely no bedside manners. He mashed on the abscess and didnt care that it was hurting so bad. Told me he was going to give a shot of antibiotics and give me a topical antibiotic. He refused to give anything for pain. I know what they were thinking and I am not dumb. The registration lady was so nasty and rude. I dont know what happened from the last time when they had all my correct information to today but nothing was right. The address and phone # I never heard of it. Then she never asked about insurance and wanted me to sign saying that I was self pay, NOPE. I told her I had insurance and she said I never said anything, again NOPE. She left and came back saying its in there. The nurse gave me the antibiotic shot and I left. I am feeling really bad and now thinking they gave me something I am allergic to. I am not going to be happy if I have to go to an er again. Now I cant see any of my records, does not show I was even there. Its never been that way. I hope no one is messing with my record because I am going to inquire about this. I have never been so disrespected. dont understand why they do not have better reviews. I have come to their facility multiple times due to severe migraines. I have been treated so amazing every time. Every doctor I came in contact with, the nurses that treated me and everyone else was so kind and understanding. Sometimes they may be busy and it takes awhile to get seen but that is pretty much everywhere. They know what works to make me feel better and gets me done so I can get home to rest. This is the reason why this is my hospital of choice because I actually get treated with respect and dignity. This is the healthcare that we need. I wish I could name everyone that I came in contact with but I dont remember them all but they know who they are. THANKS so much for being so kind, understanding and passionate in the work you do!! Its definitely noticed. I hope they see this review because I truly think that they are not thanked enough for doing what they do on a daily basis.

Wingin It I visited twice and NEVER again. Not all staff, but most were rude and nasty. (I understand they are short staffed) however, 8 different people come and each have a single job (maybe cross train, because they werent lacking staff, just job responsibilities) My second concern was the way the staff treated me (one particular guy, who handed me my release papers and RX) He didnt know what trauma I went through that day, obviously thats why Im at the ER, his rudeness and outright disrespect showed that he did not care and lacked compassion. If he is that miserable with his job then he needs to find a new one. Manatee memorial keeps texting me and calling me trying to get feedback on my recent visits. I recently made three different trips to the hospital speak with case management and to retrieve my medical records from that visit. Now theyre saying that they have no record of my EKG, but I had the papers in my hand in the ER, and they disappeared from my room.
