judy barber After a pickleball mishap, an ER doc happened to be playing. He told me to go to the Palma Sola ER. Best advice! From the moment I got there I felt so comfortable. The doc on call was great, each person there from nurses to the lady who talked to us about insurance and billing could not have treated me better. This is where I’ll be going. I’ve never had to go to the ER before. Very thankful for them.

Hippie Chick Im shocked with the difference in care Ive gotten since they opened their new ER. This ER is massive, I would think they would have it under control, though, from the start.
I walked in with bleeding from a wound Ive had since 2012. Usually it just seeps, like a clear fluid one occasion. Yesterday it bled like a sieve, then last night it soaked the dressing through overnight, so I sent pics to my Dr and he said "he to the ER immediately"... So here I am.
They got me right in, and I was seen by a Physician Assistant very quickly. She briefly looked at my wound, then ordered a blood draw. I told her Dr Senchenkov said to get scans. They took blood (she wasnt very good at it), then I waited some more...
After about 2 hours, one of the techs came in and said, "Im here to take you to Adult Waiting, where youll get your results of your tests". I was like, what tests? Oh, my blood work?
Basically, they kicked me out of the room into the waiting room. So... WTH? After 15 mins, that same tech WALKED me over to get a CT scan. ❓⁉️ Thank goodness it wasnt very far. The CT techs were awesome! 100% kind, cool, & considerate.
I dont understand WHY are they bringing people out of their rooms and putting them in a waiting room while their results come back? Sure, I understand that they can technically treat someone else while they wait for their results, but then theyre sitting in a waiting room when their results come back and they have no privacy when theyre told whats going on. Thats bad. They just stuck this person in the waiting room... How bad is that? To stick em there without a bed or privacy...
Dont they realize how un-bloody-comfortable it is to sit in a waiting room for hours on end? They could have at least made the chairs comfortable.

Gina Riccobono The lack of care and professionalism at Manatee Memorial Hospital is deeply concerning. Critical discharge planning and patient advocacy were completely neglected. The staff failed to ensure proper post-discharge support, leaving a patient without necessary medical equipment, medications, or a safe care plan.
Requests for further evaluations of sudden and serious health changes were ignored, and concerns raised by the family were met with dismissive and unprofessional remarks. This experience highlights systemic issues in patient care and communication that should not occur in any healthcare facility.
I strongly urge the hospital to review and improve its policies and practices to prevent future harm to patients and their families.

Kim Heater UPDATE::
I have been getting excellent care here up until recently. I unfortunately have had a few visits due to out of control migraines. I am now getting attitude from the nurses because I have to get ultrasound ivs. Tonight 7/31 came in due to an abscess on my stomach. The doctor was extremely rude and had absolutely no bedside manners. He mashed on the abscess and didnt care that it was hurting so bad. Told me he was going to give a shot of antibiotics and give me a topical antibiotic. He refused to give anything for pain. I know what they were thinking and I am not dumb. The registration lady was so nasty and rude. I dont know what happened from the last time when they had all my correct information to today but nothing was right. The address and phone # I never heard of it. Then she never asked about insurance and wanted me to sign saying that I was self pay, NOPE. I told her I had insurance and she said I never said anything, again NOPE. She left and came back saying its in there. The nurse gave me the antibiotic shot and I left. I am feeling really bad and now thinking they gave me something I am allergic to. I am not going to be happy if I have to go to an er again. Now I cant see any of my records, does not show I was even there. Its never been that way. I hope no one is messing with my record because I am going to inquire about this. I have never been so disrespected.
dont understand why they do not have better reviews. I have come to their facility multiple times due to severe migraines. I have been treated so amazing every time. Every doctor I came in contact with, the nurses that treated me and everyone else was so kind and understanding. Sometimes they may be busy and it takes awhile to get seen but that is pretty much everywhere. They know what works to make me feel better and gets me done so I can get home to rest. This is the reason why this is my hospital of choice because I actually get treated with respect and dignity. This is the healthcare that we need. I wish I could name everyone that I came in contact with but I dont remember them all but they know who they are. THANKS so much for being so kind, understanding and passionate in the work you do!! Its definitely noticed. I hope they see this review because I truly think that they are not thanked enough for doing what they do on a daily basis.

Wingin It I visited twice and NEVER again.
Not all staff, but most were rude and nasty. (I understand they are short staffed) however, 8 different people come and each have a single job (maybe cross train, because they werent lacking staff, just job responsibilities)
My second concern was the way the staff treated me (one particular guy, who handed me my release papers and RX)
He didnt know what trauma I went through that day, obviously thats why Im at the ER, his rudeness and outright disrespect showed that he did not care and lacked compassion. If he is that miserable with his job then he needs to find a new one.
Manatee memorial keeps texting me and calling me trying to get feedback on my recent visits. I recently made three different trips to the hospital speak with case management and to retrieve my medical records from that visit.
Now theyre saying that they have no record of my EKG, but I had the papers in my hand in the ER, and they disappeared from my room.
