USF Health Primary Care

juanita sanchez Used to be good but service keeps getting worse. Did all my births through them but after 10 years I am transferring to Baycare. It is impossible to make a sick child appointment these days. I dont mind the students, but sometimes the wait between students and actual doctor takes an extra 30 minutes so every visit you have to plan for 2 hours. Lastly, I guess I forgot about the well checks for my son for 2 years, even though we have been to the doctor multiple times in that span as needed when he got sick. Just had to do their urgent care since as mentioned, it is impossible to find a spot for a sick child. So now when I try and make the well check appointment I am told he has to be seen as new patient now. But for new patients you cant just make an appointment, you have to do a new patient and then they will do the well check (again he has been going here since he was born 10 years ago). So that would mean about 4-5 hours to get a well check, and a new patient appointment that is probably not covered by insurance. So no, we decided to just change providers. For routine pediatric care, is just not worth it. Most doctors are great here, but the system/logistics is just too burdensome.

Lori M They are okay. Not amazing but not bad. The front desk staff are very nice and helpful.

Family Of Shepherds If I could give this place a 0 star I would. Both of my daughters go here now for a year and a half. That has given plenty of time to evaluate the type of care that is provided at this location. In all my 43 years of living this is the absolute worst doctors office I have ever been to. One of my daughters has been special needs her entire life. This doctors office has continued to not do thier jobs appropriately to make sure my daughters get the type of care they deserve. Further more they have now started to blame our other providers and specialties for thier own lack of care although in just one day three of our other providers reported to me this doctors office has been contacted several several times by all of them to follow up on care plans, referrals and authorizations which is the only way to get services covered by our insurance. Causing my disabled daughter to go without therapy for a progressing disease. If you are thinking about going here please think again. They have in no way made our lives any better. Only have caused us tremendous stress and made our lives worse. After a year and a half I have had enough!

Rosey Ganoe The wait is usually long for surgical followup...they have to be overbooked to make sure you get seen. Im always grateful for them squeezing me in when they can. Days are more important for recovery than the hours you have to wait. Dare I remind the complainers that TGH/USF doctors probably saved ther lives like they did mine? Its not dirty...just could use some updating...old buildings. These doctors are not getting rich off of us with the way health insurance is. I am forever grateful...they have a tough job and they dont need all of the complaints.

Catrinna Dick The absolute worst place to have to go for a person recovering. You sit in the waiting room for well over your appointment time just to be put in a room where you wait almost another hour. Completely unnecessary. If they are so short staffed then they shouldn’t book you. The bed side drs you see changes every visit. I’ve waited over 2.5hrs before then on my last visit it was 1.5hrs wait when there was staff standing around. I was actually made fun of for wanting to extend my temporary handicap parking pass, when the dr assistant said “damn id like a parking pass before my feet hurt too” I had a serious break and didn’t find it funny. I even heard the dr tell another patient “you’re not the worst I’ve seen today so…” How rude and unprofessional. If you can change your follow up to not go here. I’d highly recommend no one to ever go here.

Lindi Tolu The pediatric center is lovely. I can tell they care, and my daughter has received excellent and comprehensive care from Tonya Smith!! Another plus is that there is no tv show playing in the waiting room, but instead there are health tips for children and young adults as well as the time, and temperature, and other fun facts this was very refreshing. Thank you Tampa General pediatrics!

Steven Bronzell Had an appointment as first time patient and had such a bad experience. First, the address through all communications (email, text, etc) is for the entire property with no direction on where to park or what building the appointment is in. No way finding signs on property telling patients where to park or saying "Entrance this way" like you would expect for a health campus. So I park and walk around trying to find anything or anyone to point me in the right direction. That took awhile, turns out my appointment is in a whole different building so walking over there took longer. I end up being 15 minutes late for my appointment because of the lack of directions and then am told Ill need to reschedule because Im late. Im late because of the extremely poor communication on TGHs behalf! I ask them to reconsider and the answer was no. I think weve all sat in a Doctors office for an hour waiting to be called, and if you read other reviews for this location you can see that is a frequent problem at this location. And so it seems extremely hypocritical to me that they would not extend the same grace to their patients as they expect from others. Poor customer service on behalf of Susan Bingham for not showing empathy to the situation and poor communication by TGH when providing appointment information and directions.

D. Pfister Absolute worst hospital. My mother has been laying in the hallway of the Emergency Room for 24 hours. They wont let her eat or drink anything because they said she needs a procedure done but cant tell her when that will happen. They have no rooms available to admit her. I would not go there if a shark bit my leg off. Horrible place!!

Joshua Lisenby WORST HOSPITAL EVER WAITED TWO HOURS, was promised some pain meds 1.5 hours before that while waiting, was promised labs, nothing asked for an update and I get snotty remarks. The worst hospital I ever been to don’t waste your time. They better not charge me either. Wanna wait four plus hours to be seen and have them LIE to you about how long the longest patient has been waiting go here if not go to HCA ER

Jesse Ferree 8hr+ visit with chest pains ranging mild to severe going from my chest to my back, dizziness and lacking the ability to fully breath normally all the while in hypertensive ranges for BP, just to be essentially told well you wont die going out the door so maybe its anxiety or gas even after explaining the family history of heart issues including an uncle passing in his 30s of heart complications (i myself am in my 30s) Suffered through a shift change which resulted in not a single doctor or staff fully knowing what the hell they intended to do, as I sitting in the hallway just after a CT with contrast I ask to use the rest room to be told by a nurse "oh idk if the planned a urinalysis let me check" disappeared to never to return. So Im sitting there in the hallway with a cup of pee for over an hr until yet another nameless random nurse noticed it and was just as perplexed as to why a patient with cardiac symptoms was told to pee in a cup. Had a screaming mental illness case in a room all night in the er (awesome for bp issues). Left the Er with higher BP then when I came in 171/150 with and just about every symptom I walked in with just be offered anxiety medication or gastric medication. Save yourself from a waste of time, money and mental well being for unless you are a liability to them seems like they just rack up some vague test and run you off.

David Penney Waited for 6 hours just to be told there was nothing wrong with my shoulder when I know it’s dislocated. My shoulder was dislocated once before, so I know what it feels like. I will NEVER AGAIN VISIT THIS LAME EXCUSE FOR S HOSPITAL!!!

High Steaks If you ever wanted to feel like just a box getting checked off on a list, you’re in the right place. Unfortunately it seems like their volume of patients has become far too much for them to handle with grace and it’s turned into patients getting treated as numbers on a sheet instead of human beings. I would advise looking elsewhere if you want a hands-on team that truly cares about finding you solutions quickly.

lady urquijo Terrible medical service, they do not send medical tests, a different Dr always sees them, they write what they want in the medical history and not what they are informed about, my son has had irritable behavior for months and they only know how to say that it is normal, I had to search a specialist for My account because they are not even useful for giving referrals, but they do charge the health insurance as if they really worked and only know how to deal with Tylenol and Motrin. No one is responsible for sending laboratory tests.
