Tina Van Dine The lack of communication, being lied to and the incompetency is why I will never come back to this clinic. I spoke with a nurse who said they could see me after I got off work, knowing what time I got off work. I was here eleven minutes later and all of the nurses had already left. After I have been trying to reach them for 4 days just to be told someone will call me back which never happened. When I showed up for my appointment, I was told to come back in the morning and try again.

Wolf Girl I called last week for an appointment due to an issue, they said a nurse would call me back, to see if an appointment is nessasry.. Friday comes and still no one calls. I call again and they say someone will call u today or Monday, not a single peep...i called agian....same run around of a nurse will call you. its now Friday again and not a single word from them or a nurse... how is it that ur patient feels so undervalued to you that you dont call them back, maybe a period for over a month and a half isnt that serious? But atleast ease my mind!! Smh... I guess Ill take my services somewhere else... and if it is something serious, I will be calling the medical board and filing a complaint...

DENISE I give it one because I guess with all the reviews, I have to make vist here. Will be my first time seeing for myself. Understand when people are so much pain and waiting to see the doctor it gets so frustrating, because they want it immediately taken care of. But sometimes we all have to patiention about it. Well anyway I am going see you soon.

Kristy Pro: The leaning scale paperwork was quick and easy for me to fill out.
Big bags of free condoms were included with each visit.
Cons: They do not take insurance of any kind.
I was refused birth control because I was a smoker.
I was given an attitude from the women that I was speaking with about my birth control options.
The medical assistant could never give me a straight answer to any of my questions, including test results.
I was told that they do not do STD testing.
My appointment days were always getting mixed up in their system, there was always confusion over the phone and in person about what my appointments were for and I constantly had to explain everything to them and repeat myself.
I was told that I would just be sent home with a bag of condoms and no birth control because I was a smoker, and after practically begging for a birth control prescription the doctor told me that she would only give me a three months supply and that if I didn’t quit smoking by then that I would only be able to receive condoms from them.
My questions about other birth control alternatives were never answered.

StrategyMED Dean On Wed, March 21, 2018, I called this location and left a voice mail message seeking a return call. Based on the reviews I had read, my expectations were quite low. Within 1 hour, however, a very helpful and polite clinician returned my call answering all my questions and providing additional insight. Her name was Mary; apparently there are 2 Marys at this office.
The following day, Thursday, March 22, I visited the University location and was promptly met by a receptionist who could not have been more warm and friendly. Unfortunately, I failed to get her name but she was a lovely and wonderful woman. She directed me to complete some minimal paperwork which I returned to her and then headed to the seating area. After approx 30-40 minute wait, she called my name to advise me that she was sorry for my delay with being seen and was heading to check on the status. She returned promptly to relay that I was next to be seen.
Fortunately, the same person who returned my call the previous day came to get me and provide the immunization needed. I applauded her for her responsiveness the previous day. She was professional, polite, knowledgeable and was skillful with my injection.
So, I did not have an appt but was instead a walk-in, received professional service at each point of contact, and left within 1hr 10 mins for less than $100. The gentleman who settled my account was I believe Jorge, and he could not have been nicer or more efficient.
In total, my first experience at a health department, at age 54, was a very enjoyable and professional experience. On a side note, each patient I encountered in the waiting room were nice people, too.
