Jessica Rivero Dr. McLaughlin has always been caring and attentive with my son since we have started with her practice 9 months ago. She has established a relationship with my son and he loves going to the doctor. Not only is she on top of everything making sure he is as healthy as he can be, she always makes sure that she seems him as soon as possible whenever he is sick. For that, I will continue to take my son to see Dr. McLaughlin. As a family, we are very happy with her care.

Tom Hornyak Tried to book an appointment, and the front desk guy acted like he was warning me about a cursed treasure hunt. He droned on about the "long process" and suggested I "look elsewhere." So, if you’re into wasting time and getting a lecture on why you should avoid their services, this is the place for you. Otherwise, you might want to go where people actually like answering questions.

Arely Garcia Been going to Dr. MacLaughlin for over 5 years, she has been amazing with my daughter and now my new born son. She always provides my kids with great medical care and gives me great advice in areas of my concern. I use to take my daughter to the ER when she would run fevers or had really bad coughs, they would never give me anything. I’d take her to see Dr. MacLaughlin and she would put her on meds, within days, my baby was better. My newborn son wasn’t gaining much weight at the beginning, she provided us with very helpful information, which lead us to have a chunker! Definitely wouldn’t hesitate to continue to take my kids back to Dr. MacLaughlin, her years in the medical field truly show.

Katherine Earley I want to give 4 stars... but were STILL WAITING on the ER team to tell us whats next. Its been 6 hours since we got here after being told by his VA Primary Care that an ER visit was necessary due to a lab result. Gulf Coast staff have been kind, professional, and helpful. They cant control the timing of more urgent patients; apparently we keep getting bumped down the line due to trauma patients. Conclusion - if your Dr tells you to go to this ER on a Friday afternoon because you are "severely anemic"; be prepared to stay in the waiting room all night. And be prepared to not eat real food - youll never know if you have enough time to go to the cafeteria.

Bart I was admitted through the ER and I dont even have the words to express just how impressed I was with the staff here. They were clearly well trained and knowledgeable. They were efficient, yet thorough. The triage team was amazing. They anticipated each others moves and they were able to get me taken care of quickly. Every test has been explained before it was performed. The hospitalist and specialists worked together and were in close contact. They were able to provide my meds (which is a surprise since its a specialty medication and quite expensive). I was expecting to share a room with an elderly combative patient, but I didnt. I was given a single room and it was like a suite in a hotel. I was just blown away. I have a medical background and I catch mistakes, but the performance here has been second to none. The food isnt that great, but its edible and I e had worse. Any time I needed anything nurses and techs were right on it. They gave me clear instructions for using everything in the room (TV, phone, call button). They gave me an abundance of pillows and blankets. I have really been through the ringer the last couple days. I got to experience my second LP. I didnt even feel it. Not at all. Im not even sore from it. Ive been in many different healthcare settings and this is by far one of the top hospitals Ive been to. My nurses have helped keep my spirits up. Its really a pleasant experience for unpleasant times. If I ever have to get admitted to a hospital again, this will be my first choice. Id also like to say Ive seen this place at its worse during COVID. Its been a completely different experience. When I was first here I walked out after waiting 19 hours with no food stuck in a chair in the hallway. Its really great to see that things have slowed down a bit for them. Im going to tell my friends to come here. Theyve earned my trust and thats a hard thing to do, I dont generally trust doctors or hospitals because of my background and what I witness at places. People make mistakes, ppl fall through the cracks. Im really happy I made the decision to choose Gulf Coast. Theyve made a difficult time a lot easier to handle. You dont get that often.

Audrys Malisauskas I can understand people leaving bad reviews because when you are sick you are overall not happy, but I can say when you are in trouble you cant to find better place with extremely professional emergency care. I come there with terrible leg swelling. After blood tests, x-rays, ultrasounds doctors find problem with my kidney. My legs blood artery is blocked with clusters. Im verry lucky to get there and stayed alive because cluster could move at any time and block the lungs or heart. Im very grateful surgery doctors, assistants and nurses. Separate I want to say thank you for room 7224 nurses Lupe and Gertrude. Nurse leader Andrea. Thank you for all Gulf Coast Medical Center employees.

Ron Zylstra I was transferred from Health Park to the Neurological wing at Gulf Coast (2nd floor west) and could not have been more pleased with the care and services I received! The nurses, the aides, housekeepers, physicians, physical therapists, and occupational therapists were all reliable, compassionate, and eager to serve. Even the meals and servers were very good. I would definitely choose to return to Gulf Coast in the future.

Marie Goodman If I could give no stars and still review I would. Came into ER at 7:30 with a friend who was bleeding from a sliced finger. Now I don’t mean a small cut where a few stitches would have worked. I’m taking half a finger missing and bone visible bleeding. 7 hours we have been here and yet to be seen! This is not acceptable. Others sitting in that waiting room for 10,11 and 12 hours. Some staff were quite friendly and apologetic while others were rude and nasty with people. Brushing people off, telling them they would be better off leaving, telling them no one told you to wait! Unacceptable!!! Now I understand there are going to be the nonsense visitors but there are people still sitting here VISIBLY ILL, VISIBLY in pain. Asked a nurse at the nurses station when we would be seen. She told us when I’m done here………. Done with what? Your conversation? Are you writing a novel? Cooking thanksgiving dinner? You sure as hell aren’t dealing with any patients. You’re not on the phone with anyone. You’re not doing anything!!! DO BETTER! Do better for your patients. Do better for the ones who trust you. Do better for the ones who need your help. DO BETTER! 10/10 would not recommend! If you are In real need of medical care find somewhere else to go.

Sarah Blau I would give this hospital 0 stars! Went into the hospital last night because my body was reacting to a medication very poorly. As soon as I showed up to the hospital, they gave me no fluids, didn’t ask what my pain level was, and they really didn’t ask any questions at all. They were cracking jokes thinking that my situation was funny. 20 minutes into being in the hospital the nurse walks in, doesn’t say anything, starts taking off my IV and cuff and tells me to “get out of bed, you can go” followed by the lady right behind her with the discharge papers. My friend asks to see the doctor and the doctor walks in and preceded to tell me “ I have 5 other patients to take care of” and tells me to get up and move and leave. Absolutely no hospitality, no manners, I genuinely don’t know how they got a job in this profession. Worst experience ever at a hospital. I do not suggest to anyone to go to this hospital

Lucy Esquivel The worst hospital , they are always behind & don’t attend you when needed!! Been here two hours & not one nurse came to check up or give update !!

Yadianis Lara It should be 0 stars. The nurses and doctor have no care. The doctor seemed lost and half of the stuff he said made no sense. Discharge my dad for a blood clot without even a referral to a specialist just the name and phone number. Most health insurances need a referral for a specialist to even be covered. No work ethic or empathy. I think attending physician was Dr. Conklu. He was in the room, 3 minutes max the entire 4 hour visit. Worst experience ever.

Deborah Mullins My husband was there on numerous occasions a few years back during his battle with cancer. During one visit in the middle of the night he partially pulled out a vent tube. A nurse named Bill heard him and talked him through reinserting it. My husband said Bill saved his life with his calm kindness and knowledge. My husband has since passed but he never stopped talking about his angel nurse Bill.

Hector Romero I want to say Thanks to NCH Hospital team at Naples, FL. I was under a surgical procedure on Sept. 24 and I was received by a wonderful team, beginning at check in point then all others hospital staff until next day when I was discharged they all treated me with love, kindness and compassion, I want to mention the first nurse I met (Georgia) on the preparation room, she made a great job to make me feel relaxed and comfortable before the surgery. After the surgery I was transferred to recovery room where nurses Rene and Myrtho were so especial with me and my wife, I have no words to describe how grateful and blessed I felt on those 24 hours, as team told me they are the same way with all of their patients but I have to say and write on this review my experience on NCH Naples Hospital. Before I finish my comment I want to say thanks to Dr David Ornstein for my surgery success recognizing his expertise and experience, Alina and a special nurse named Nathalie, she is from another planet, the sweetest person I met during the pre and pro operation procedures, Nathalie Thank you for being so kind and special with me, Thank you all. I highly appreciate you all for the support and kindness, Hector

Jim Henderson I began as a patient at NCH Baker Hospital in 2023. In December 2022, my primary care physician found an irregularity in my EKG. After extensive tests over three months through the Swift Medical Team, I was admitted, and a catheterization was performed. The interventionalist found two major blocks in my LAD, one of which was 93% occluded. He put two stents in. The same year, one day before Thanksgiving, my wife, a retired nurse, rushed me to the ER because I was having difficulty breathing. After multiple tests, I was sent home that evening. The following Monday, I called Swift Medical and complained of breathing problems. I was told to go to the ER but, since they had only sent me home four days earlier, they would do the same. I went to see my primary care doctor, Dr. Knudston, at 4 oclock and he said he was sure I was having a MI. My wife rushed me to the ER and they found that I was having an MI heart attack. The next day NCH performed another stent and found that my Right Coronary was 99% closed! If I had waited more than another day for a catheterization, I likely would have died. In mid-December of 2023, I woke up around 2 am and fell on the bathroom floor, gasping for breath. My wife called 911 and I was rushed to the ER at NCH. Throughout the week I was given all the standard tests and, just like back before Thanksgiving, my tests were all negative for any problems with my heart. They kept me for observation for 3 days. Over that time, my complaint was that I was struggling to breathe and I had chest pain. One evening a hospitalist stopped by my room to ask how I was doing. I told him I was struggling to breathe and had chest pains. His response was unacceptable. He told me that my problems were "in my head" and that he "did not have time to listen to my problems". He ordered a Lidocaine patch and left. The next day I asked the nurse to release me from the hospital. She got very defensive and said if I left, I would have to pay for the hospital visit myself because insurance would not cover it. The hospital concluded that I was allergic to a medicine and they changed the medication. They moved me to a floor far away from everyone that afternoon. When the evening nurse came in I explained my frustration. In confidentiality, I was encouraged to say I felt better in the morning so that NCH would release me. I did and I was released, even though I was still very symptomatic for heart problems. The day after Christmas, I was at my office and my symptoms got very bad. I called my concierge Doctor, who ordered me to take the next plane to Cleveland Clinic. Taking one Nitro pill after another, my wife and I made the flight to Cleveland. I checked into the ER and, the next day, they performed a catheterization and found that my LAD was 87% blocked between the two stents which had been put in at NCH less than 10 months ago. If I had not gone to Cleveland, I might not have lived. I have been to the ER three more times since my stent was put in at Cleveland Clinic. I have gone to Physicians Regional at Pine Ridge three times. On my first trip, another stent was placed on a main artery branch of the LAD. My last two visits were in the previous month. On both trips to the ER I was sent home with no signs of heart or artery problems. A catheterization was done on my previous visit and there were no apparent problems. The attending interventionalist was rude and abrupt about doing the procedure, and I know I was not taken seriously. I went to my primary care doctor last week and he set me up with a cardiologist for a second opinion. Knowing how poorly I was treated previously, I was very skeptical about seeing a cardiologist associated with NCH. Because he was highly recommended by someone who knows me, and I trust, I went to the appointment, yesterday. My visit with Dr. Paz on 3/13/25 could not have been better. The visit was 1 1/2 hours long. He explained that NCH made drastic changes in the heart program in 2023, and it shows. I highly recommend Dr. Paz.

Steven Bailey I had the pleasure of spending Thanksgiving at NCH in Naples, FL, and it was a truly memorable experience. The highlight of the day was the incredible Thanksgiving meal served in the cafeteria. It was, without a doubt, the best institutional Thanksgiving meal Ive ever had. Kudos to the entire culinary team for their outstanding efforts! I also want to give a special shout-out to RN Lindsey and Jane on the 6th floor south. Despite the busy atmosphere on Thanksgiving day, Lindsey remained calm and provided exceptional care with kindness and professionalism. Its clear that the staff at NCH genuinely care about their patients and go above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable and well taken care of. Overall, Im grateful for the excellent care and memorable Thanksgiving experience at NCH Naples. Thank you for making my holiday so special!

Jill Holbrook Horrible. My husband was taken to the emergency room and he had a UTI, fever and a white blood count of 19 (this was not disclosed until the next time he was admitted). The next day the hospital doctor (female) released him and within 5 hours he was back. This time he was in for four days, it was not until the last day that the doctor came to talk to us. Dr. Patel was rude, condescending, informed us that he was medically cleared and needed to leave. When I asked what his white blood count was he said they did not check. I will never go back to NCH and advise anyone of using them to be careful. They deserve the negative reputation that they have.

Melissa Medina My chart is probably a mile long here. I cant make it fast enough to a teaching hospital to get proper care because everything is so far. For billing like a regular hospital, the least that can be provided is better answers. The nurses are always so friendly but they look overwhelmed with the amount of work they have. My last visit we also ran into the blood pressure cuff shortage and had seen this only after I got up to use the restroom, it had already been on my arm. Alot of work needed to improve the care for the changing demographic, were not in old Naples anymore.

Edna Seymour I recently had the incredible experience of welcoming my first baby at NCH Hospital, and I cant thank the amazing nursing staff enough for their support during labor and delivery. Molly, you were extra special—your kindness and encouragement made such a difference in my experience. Rachel, Ann, Nichole, and Anna, your thoughtfulness and expertise were truly comforting during this life-changing moment. Each of you displayed such genuine care, helping to ease my worries and creating a warm, supportive environment. I feel extremely grateful to have had such an exceptional team by my side.

D Cermak I have been to worse, but in general I would avoid this hospital if at all possible. It is old and dirty. My 92 year-old mother is currently being treated there. There are a few very nice nurses, but in general I find the staff to be rude and not very empathetic to the elderly. My mothers room is dirty with dirty bed linens sitting on the floor all day that have not been picked up. Nurses never come quickly when the call button is pushed, even though you can hear them talking all day at the nurses station. She rarely gets offered help to get in/out of bed, take a shower or even brush her teeth. I would assume the ICU gets more attention, but the general rooms leave a really bad taste in my mouth for this hospital. The only highlight was the emergency room when my mom was admitted. They were very responsive and professional.

T Bce It deserves zero stars. If you are pregnant, DO NOT COME HERE! From first to last visit absolutely terrible, if I had other option I would have taken it. Nurse who first sees you to get all of your information is rude and cold. Doctors and nurses just want to get you in and out they do not care. I was rushed out so many times after waiting far past my appointment time. Was supposed to have ultra sounds scheduled that never happened. Tests run that never happened and things they will say they discuss with you in their notes, they never discuss with you. Poor care I feel blessed that my pregnancy ended up with a healthy baby because these people are the absolute WORST!!!! AVOID AVOID AVOID

R. Jàye Highly upset! I made a dentist appt for my 3 year old daughter a month ago and we arrive to the office ahead of time. The receptionist for some reason could not locate my insurance… he tried a few times. Then told me unfortunately I cannot find your insurance. So I leave and sit in my car and call my insurance. So the lady from blue cross tells me to give the reception a number to call. When I get back into the office, the rep that helped me was gone. Another very nice lady helped me. She called the number that I was given, and she was able to locate my insurance, however, by the time everything situated, the dentist was in a meeting so I have to reschedule a month out. How is that fair? I won’t be coming back here. I don’t recommend they don’t care about your time.

Daniela Fuentes Like many reviews have stated, if you are pregnant avoid this doctors office. The Womens Care Center is full of incompetent medical assistants that dont communicate amongst themselves or to the doctors. You have to repeat your medical history every time to each one. Horrible bedside manner. Dont follow any HIPPA laws, talk about other patients openly. They lose blood work "all the time" and blame it on quest/labcorp. Phlebotomists are fresh out of a 4week training course it seems. TRULY THE WORST IN NAPLES.

Ben I’m volunteering at NCH Naples Downtown Emergency Room for the past 4 months, every week. I have a high level of expectations near perfection. I can state that the emergency department is well managed. The place is very clean and out of germ. The department is well staffed, well organized and well managed. The main fact is that they have a very large inbound volume of patients The nurses are exceptional, juggling between emergencies after emergencies, heart attacks, car accidents, motorcycle crashes, strokes, accidents and more. Remember this is the main emergency room in Naples for extreme cases. Usually, the frustration is coming from patients with smaller emergencies, due to the need to take care of patient with extreme emergencies. Something patients are not aware too, is that a blood test or a CT scan or another test can take 1H or more to get results. Hence the impression of waiting for nothing and the frustration, again due to the volume. The doctors are the best and coming from the entire hospital. Compared to other emergency facilities, you have a specialist available at anytime for all cases. I’m glad I’m able to help and support this amazing team of experts and professionals. I’m really proud of it. There is no different treatment between any patient. It’s not first come first serve, but biggest emergency is first serve; and served with perfection and attention. Thank you to all the NCH staff and for the amazing patients, for having patience.

Bee More NO SENSE OF URGENCY FOR AN ER!! They werent busy. My daughter had SEVERE life- threatening allergy attack/Anaphylaxis & it took 19 minutes to get ephenephrine in her even though I kept nicely asking. She visibly could not breath, was bright red and swollen in face & chest and her entire body was profusely shaking, etc. A man PA (?) wanted to slowly take blood test before giving ephenephrine? WHAT? Then he almost administered medication that my daughter is allergic to WITHOUT ASKING or confirming!! Plus I already gave Benadryl and they were going to give more Benadryl again. They dont ask basic questions that any ER should be required to do so. We waited for almost a couple of hours where our nurse didnt even quickly check on patient - I had to go find the nurse since pharmacies were closing. WEVE NEVER SEEN SUCH INCOMPETENCE. Only positive is the volunteer brought my daughter a heated blanket on arrival and the doctor seemed nice at discharge. BEWARE going here! My daughter could have DIED if they injected her with other medications shes allergic too, all while she was having a life threatening nut allergy attack. Well never forget our epipen again while on the road even though weve never had to use it EVER (over 16 years)!!

Ronald Saul This is in reference to the NCH Physicians Group at 1845 Veterans Park in North Naples. If you want to be treated poorly--this is your spot. Often times you get a recorded message where youll be asked to leave your information. Then you can wait for days for a call back. Need a prescription refilled? Even worse service. After not responding to the Pharmacys request you can call them to inquire. If they cant bill you for it then they arent interested in you. The absolute worst place to go. Corporate medicine at its finest. Too bad there are so few private practices left in this town. Stay away from this one.

Gee Mac This review is in relation to Dr Kinal Suryawala at the NCH Physicians Group Gastroenterology practice at 1285 Creekside Blvd East. What a horrible experience. Consistently 50+ minutes late for each appointment with no apology. When you question this, he just suggests you find another doctor. (Trust me, consider it done!) He didnt even examine me once. Front desk staff have the same bad attitude. Nobody here seems to care about patients, rather they treat you with contempt. And they get things wrong: apparently I have the "wrong date of birth"! Really? Youd think that I might know better than anyone, since I was actually there! Upsetting, unpleasant and awful. Avoid. There are many better options in Naples than this.

Jon Schroeder I’ve been a customer of NCH physicians group downtown Naples for five years now. There is something drastically wrong with that facility which started, as I recall around January 1 of 2020. It is getting worse by the day. This group of doctors seems not to be able to have a proper telephone answering service functioning any longer. I have tried to call them dozens of times for days now to try to get an appointment With my general practitioner as I have had a severe cough for over four months which I have already explained to my doctor in this group several times.Every time I call, all I get is an answering machine telling me someone will be right with me. However, no one answers after 15 minutes On hold, several times my patience takes over and I have to give up. I think it is criminal that when a person is sick and wants to contact the doctor in a Medical group the size of this facility cannot put the proper amount of telephone operators on their staff in a multi million dollar facility. After talking to many people in the area and living downtown Naples for over 40 years now. They just don’t seem to care. Whoever the management company is for this firm should be fired. I have been sick with walking pneumonia for over four months now and after three days of trying to make an appointment on the phone last Thursday I was giving the opportunity in the form of a text message to leave my name and number and someone would get back to me as soon as possible. Six hours later I received a call and got an appointment with my general practitioner Cindy Lucas for the following Monday at 1:30 PM. I was in Estero on business in the a.m. and I left for Naples at 12:30 , only got stuck in traffic due to a accident on I 75. I arrived 10 minutes late for my appointment. After waiting a proximally 10 minutes in line to be waited on by the normal receptionist, again I find out that the normal staff is not in the building only temps. I was told I’ll have to reschedule by A temporary worker has all the Regular girls that are normally at the greeting desks were not there. This seems to be another problem, there is constantly temporary employment people working in the office rather than the normal staff. Also there is a constant change in the normal nurse assistance that give me my injections each week.So therefore I couldn’t talk to anyone that I knew and I was sent home Buy some sharp tongue young woman that I never saw before, only now to start the entire nightmare process over again of contacting them for another appointment. This is just one incident of Many That I have experienced at this office. I thought I was doing an intelligent thing being that I’m 76 years old and I could put all of my doctor visits and health records in one location but it appears to be impossible. It’s just not worth the aggravation that this office dishes out almost every time you go there. I will say that a regular staff that is normally there and has been for years has always treated me with other respect however the temporary employment people Could care less about the word respect trying to find out whether you are actually a regular customer there was some bomb that walked in off the street. They just don’t care.

It took another half hour waiting in the doctors room. I request you to respect the patients time and attend based on the appointment schedule. Its really frustrating.
