At closing time for them, lady named Sheila went the extra mile to get him in at 1PM very next day! The staff truly cares about their patients. We didnt care about bells and whistles. The facility was clean, the staff was professional and caring. Thank You Indian River Surgery Center!

Sam Leibo This doctor is quite exceptional, from our first meeting with him my wife and I knew we had to look no further for a surgeon. Although he was very professional, he made you feel comfortable that you could actually look towards having surgery without any inhibitions. It certainly was a good experience, minimum discomfort with a tiny and neat incision by this very skilled doctor. We certainly recommend him, he treats you as if you’re one of his friends. He’s awesome, what a great experience, I’m up and enjoying my life in less than a week. Thank you Dr. Paul!

Linda Nelson Dr Paul is a fabulous doctor! I truly appreciate his vast knowledge and experience. He is always upbeat, great personality. He is very understanding and caring. I had a laparoscopic cholecystectomy ( gallbladder removal) and I am amazed at how quickly I am recovering and how minimal my scars are.

Tiffany Mason BEWARE!!!!! Do NOT use this Dr!!!!! Removed a huge lipoma. Did not order any scans or mri before surgery. He is NOT qualified to remove that size I should have been referred to a plastic surgeon. DOES NOT call back!!!! DOES NOT call the wound care nurse back. Got an infection and took over 24 hours to call in an antibiotic RN was calling his office non stop and no call or email back. Never discharged me from the nurse company. REMOVED MUSCLE AND TISSUE FOUND IN PATHOLOGY REPORT. no call back for pain meds. A year later and still cannot reach above my head or bend over without severe pain. Your quality of life will be taken away by the hands of this Dr. GE DOES NOT CARE. Google reviews are fake!! He is beyond rude and just wants the insurance money once the surgery is done he’s done with you.

Paul Ferrera My hernia surgery performed by this gentleman was not what I was told it would be. I had originally asked for a laparoscopic procedure but he made a vague reference about something to do with mesh from a prior laparoscopic hernia repair Id had years previously on the opposite side of my groin. He downplayed the severity of the pain aspect and the resulting recovery time by telling me that it was no big deal, "just a small incision and youll be up and around in a couple of days". I was flat on my back for 4+ days and wasnt pain free until seven weeks. Prior to the surgery he made no mention of the acute bruising that occurred from my groin area to my scrotum, later saying this was to be expected. When I last saw him after the surgery and voiced my concerns he stated that he didnt like to do laparoscopic repairs "because 1 in !0 patients dont make it out of the operating room!". Totally not true, just Google it. Laparoscopic procedure is actually safer than the open or traditional repair procedure.

7 Crazy Brogans If youre considering Dr. Derek Paul, MD, for anorectal surgical care, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. While I cannot speak to Dr. Paul’s personal competence as a physician, the unprofessional and rude behavior I encountered when calling his office raises serious concerns about this practice as a whole. I called to inquire whether Dr. Paul performs surgeries for a range of anorectal conditions, such as: Hemorrhoids Rectal cancer Anal fissure Anal abscess Anal cancer Anal stenosis Rectal prolapse Pilonidal disease Rectocele Ulcerative colitis These are all conditions listed on his website as being within his expertise, with corresponding surgical procedures tailored to each. However, the person who answered the phone rudely and definitively stated that he does not perform these surgeries. This response directly contradicts the information provided on his website and left me questioning the reliability and professionalism of this practice. We specifically chose our insurance policy based on Dr. Paul’s supposed expertise in these areas. To be met with hostility and what seems to be misinformation from the office staff was not only frustrating but also disheartening. It speaks volumes about the organization and oversight within this practice. A simple phone inquiry was mishandled so poorly that it completely eroded my trust in this office. I believe the person who answered the phone is in the wrong role. If they cannot communicate respectfully and accurately about basic services, it reflects poorly on the entire practice. It also leads me to question the level of care and attention to detail patients might receive once under their care. For something as critical as surgery, trust and confidence in the medical team are paramount, and this practice has failed to meet even the most basic expectations. While I cannot judge Dr. Paul’s surgical skills, I am grateful that the rude phone interaction occurred before proceeding any further. It served as a red flag, signaling deeper systemic issues. I would not feel comfortable entrusting my wife’s health—or anyone’s health—to a practice that cannot even manage accurate communication about its services. I encourage potential patients to think carefully before choosing this practice. The lack of professionalism, clarity, and courtesy I experienced does not inspire confidence, and I would suggest seeking care elsewhere.

leaveyourlegacy2012 Was on hold for scheduling a medical appointment for over 15min, finally got a hold of someone who asked if I had health insurance and then immediately placed me on hold again for another 7 min, just to be transferred to their dental department and then that person also attemtped to transfer me and keep me on hold. In total about 30 min of wasted time. Not the first time Ive tried to make a simple medical appointment at this establishment and was given quite the run around. I dont know how they have a 5 star rating. Steer clear of this place. They are not helpful.

He has helped me on several occasions with different problems, most recently February 25, when he injected my SI joint for pretty severe pain. He and his team were great. I woke up this morning without pain in and around that joint for the first time in 4 months. I highly recommend Dr Kane.

Janet Sanderson Dr. Kane is a an excellent pain management doctor!! He is very caring and listens very carefully about your condition. He always finds a solution to your particular problem. Always sincere and has tremendous sense of humor. I brought my mother to him and had a severe back issue and also had dementia and had lost her husband of 77 years. He gave her a shot and had her laughing in minutes. Finally, she was relieved from her pain. Past away on her 97 Birthday a month later! I think he is an awesome and a very sympathetic doctor. I have recommended friend to him. They loved him, too!

NS My nervousness as I walked into the facility dissipated as I handed my paperwork to Heather who warmly welcomed me at the front desk. The waiting area was calming and it was only minutes before I was escorted back. Every person who I interacted with throughout my two hours there was pleasant, efficient and caring, and I could not have felt more comfortable. The cup of coffee given to me once my procedure was finished was a nice touch. I want to recognize each of those professionals and apologize if I inadvertently miss naming anyone: Heather, Tina, Rita, Karen, Celine, Lindsay, Shelly, and of course Dr. Pramod Joseph. And thank you Lindsay for your call the following morning to make sure that I was doing well.

William McCormack From signing in at the front desk, to pre-op, procedure room, recovery - the care was excellent. There was ample time for questions at each area. After the procedure, which was without any discomfort, Dr Joseph provided a thorough explanation of findings and recommendations for follow-up.

Royal Heiress I have had some pleasant and unpleasant experiences. One is that one of the nurses who put iv in my arm left me bruised and the bruise is still there 6 months later. Also leaving me in a room or waiting well over an hour just to get results had me feeling invisible. For the most part everyone was nice, I just would have appreciated more attention to my needs and not forgetting about me.

Mark Wittbrodt I came into the ER with extreme chest pain. Within minutes Dr Ryan Johnson performed an echocardiogram and identified a pulmonary embolism. I was put on morphine and a heparin drip to relieve the pain and help dissolve the blood clot. During my three days in the ICU I received excellent care. Dr Applehoff and all the nurses were outstanding (particularly Stephan Magliore and Tishalee Plumber). I am so fortunate to be alive, thanks to the quick action and excellent care of these professionals. Everyone who assisted me was exemplary. I couldn’t be more pleased with Cleveland Clinic. Dr McGarry got me in for blood work and follow up shortly thereafter. I trust Dr McGarry with my life. He is incredible!

Tim Carney Hello! I had my first appointment with Vero Orthopedics this afternoon. I was extremely satisfied with the staff and the facility in general. The ladies that checked me in were very helpful and courteous. The assistant that took me back to the exam room was very cool and funny. She asked all the right questions. I had to get a few X-rays while I was there - I believe his name is Kevin (?) - very professional, easy to talk with, and made it so easy. Alex Dees PA-C // Awesome person - very down to earth. He explained everything in a way that made it easy to understand. He took the time to sit with my wife and I and explain everything that was going on and what his concerns were. Definitely recommend!!! Couldn’t ask for a better group of people to help us. I look forward to going back. All positive all around in my book. I couldn’t eat to get home to post my review. Barbara Silvestri If I could give a zero rating I would. Very cold reception. The doctor was cold and rushed. Left me without answering my questions or concerns. I was left on the table without anyone helping me off. I called out to the hall for help but no one ever responded to my calls. I was being seen for an ankle injury and I am visually impaired. Great way to treat an elderly woman. Wheres the compassion? Wheres the respect? If you want to be treated like a herd of animals this place is for you. If you want to be treated like a human I suggest you go elsewhere. Extremely disappointing!

em **** Seen Dr. Canvasosao myself and Husband. I grew concerned when my app had someone elses medical information ( Hippa violation btw ) and not only that but he has me so stressed over an iron issue that even his NP had informed me was normal! After I seen the NP I decided if she was questioning his " diagnosis " what am I doing. Switched PCP and MY records according to Dr. Canavasosao have so many " diagnosis " NEVER discussed. However my PCP currently reviewed my then bloodwork and recent and was baffled by what was in my records as my numbers were NORMAL. My husband liked him at first because he informed my husband how he was healthy no concerns see ya if ya need me type of way just to get his records and would yall believe his records show the craziest " diagnosis " as well!! Nothing ever brought to my husband attention but " your bloodworks normal " but in his medical records he looks like a hot mess of a case! Needless to say ask for your records after each visit and read thoroughly! This is not okay! Some of these so called " diagnosis " are pretty darn serious and thank God neither of us actually have the issues because then wed be left untreated!!

Marian “The Librarian” The Doctor and the office staff are wonderful.They are kind, efficient, and very caring. The Doctor takes some time with you and Listens to what you are saying. He is very knowledgeable and works from a more holistic approach. There are 2 drawbacks to this otherwise wonderful practice and they are: It is a long walk from the parking lot to the doctors office. This makes it especially difficult for people who are elderly or disabled. Also, it takes a while to get an appointment. But, once you get there, it is worth it!

Rick Matthews I had 2 procedures scheduled by Dr. Harewood`s office. From my first contact with the Scully center a week before my appointment to go over prep and prescription preparation to first contact at center it was outstanding and both parties were professional, friendly and answered my questions. After intake receptionist quickly took my information I was greeted by one of the nurses in facility. I have to say everyone of the nurses there were unbelievably friendly, professional, and very respectful. Truthfully I felt like I was pampered as if I was in a 5 star resort instead of being prepped for a double procedure. I cant praise this facility, staff and Dr. Harwood enough.

Mike Cianci Dynamic Life has been in partnership with the IRC Hospital District since 2021.They have gone above and beyond in assisting us and other county agencies in the Indian River County community. They have an excellent management team who is responsive to our needs and provides the necessary oversight needed for accountability. Not only to us, but the agencies they serve with due diligence and fiduciary responsibility with Indian River County citizens tax dollars.

Ginny Blossom Sunshine Physical Therapy Clinic is able to provide unlimited therapy services to those on Medicaid and uninsured thanks in great part to support from the Indian River County Hospital District. IRC Hospital District is NOT an entity of Cleveland Clinic, though I think there is the impression in our community that it is. A great part of its purpose is to provide critical funding to organizations like ours so we may serve those in Indian River County unable to pay for their medical needs.

Megan McFall IRC Hospital District has the best interest of our community. The District Trustees ensure that ALL residents of Indian River County have access to healthcare and preventative resources. They help bridge critical gaps that would otherwise leave many vulnerable. I have seen firsthand how their transparent approach and community engagement contribute to trust and positive outcomes. Their dedication and effective collaboration make a difference in enhancing the health and well-being or our residents.

JMR Gaston The staff was amazing, the care and the compassion blew me away. Starting at the front desk where the staff was kind and courteous all the way to the Doctor’s waiting room. I was particularly impressed by Yanique who took my vitals and Shaquerra who got some samples from me and last but not least my Doctor Mrs smith who was very thorough and knowledgeable, she didn’t leave any stone unturned . Overall it was an amazing experience, keep up the good work!

Marcia Cully My experience s at TCCH 787 was exceptional. The front office staff was kind, courteous and professional. The nurse checking me in was awesome and knew her stuff. I then saw Heidi-she was awesome. She spent the needed time listening to my many complaints. How refreshing to not be rushed out the door in 10 min. Thank you all for a delightful, stress free experience at TCCH.

Yourstruly Madi I am very disappointed with Dr. Heidi, my mom went in to get help with a few medical problems and with certain medical problems you need the history to know how to help her now. My mother was explaining her history and the doctor walked out the room to set up a few more appointments but instead went and talked to her nurse right outside the door and wants to say “she talks a lot” loud enough for my mother to hear. It was the most disrespectful thing a doctor who you are seeking help for to say that about you my mother already feels like nobody can help her and this doctor wants to be disrespectful and make my mom feel bad about herself this is just a horrible way to treat your patients.!I highly recommend any other doctor but Dr. Heidi it seems like she’s just there for a check.

little imouto Everyone was so nice! They joked, kept me from feeling nervous, and did everything they could to make me feel comfortable. Every person I spoke to had a smile and a wonderful personality. I dont ever want to transfer to a different location.

BG L (Laura) I saw Heidi Smith today. This was a follow-up appointment. Im having some health concerns and we were going over my results. I thought I was just having a normal discussion with my medical provider on how to correct my health issues. And trying to make a plan of action. But I guess that was a problem for her. Because when she left the room she went to speak to her nurse and I guess she thought she was whispering about me but I could clearly hear her through the door. Thats very bad practice. I dont want to go back there again. Im embarrassed. And Im upset. And I will be filing a complaint. I cant believe I paid to be treated like this.

Kelcie Dekker I have utilized their emergency services twice as well as their general veterinary services (many times, hah) as well as their boarding service —and I have zero complaints! The property is clean and the staff is very friendly. I would recommend this establishment to all pet moms and dads in Vero. Casey & Doctor Flowers deserve pay raises because they go above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and supported during our visits.

Bill Thorne I will only say that we brought our dog into the clinic while he was in great distress. The staff was attentive, the veterinarian(s) took the time to communicate what they were doing, why they were doing it, and how that could help to address the problem and get him around the corner to better health. Regrettably, the old dog wasn’t as resilient as he used to be. They kept me informed and they didn’t set unrealistic expectations. After four days, we had to let Rosco go. It was the worst outcome, but I take comfort in the knowledge that we got the counsel and advice without bias in order to make that decision. I highly recommend the Veterinary Medical Center of Indian River County.

Cee Jean Excellent service! My local vet recommended this fine establishment as my little old man Ronald had a broken tooth and has a bad heart. Dr. Flowers and Nurse Dan were exceptional and you can tell they care about what they do. The team took expert care of my best friend and they will do the same for yours. Remember these professionals are people with lives and trauma in their own world and they still show everyday to take care of us. Vets are an incredible part of our community, please give them grace and be kind! Thank you guys for helping Ronald!

Julie Vergara I had to bring in my sweet 14.5 year old Stevie Ray in the middle of the night after he had what appeared to be a seizure. I left him there for diagnostics and observation then had to go back in the afternoon as he was getting worse as he had some type of stroke. Stevie had never been there before but the way the night and day staff there at night there treated him, you would have thought he was a regular. They could not have been more compassionate as I made the most difficult decision to let him go to the bridge. The care and love he received was top-notch while he was alive, during his transition and afterwards when they gave me his ashes. How gently they treated me along with the card I received from them is so very special and will bring me comfort.

Kendra Vaughan Just had to bring our cat in this weekend due to a urinary blockage. They took such good care of him and walked us through all possible outcomes. The total for his stay ended up being significantly less than the low end of the price estimate, which was wonderful, they sent us home with everything we needed including food and it was obvious from how they spoke about him that they really were giving him their attention and care. They also did not hesitate to provide updates during his 2 night stay and let us visit with him, as we were very sad to be away from him. What a great emergency vet and caring staff, cannot recommend enough! Toulouse says thank you!

Sandra Westover Watts I didnt feel like I had to wait long to be seen. The staff and nurses were professional and concerned for my well being. When I saw the doctor he was very kind, helpful. and concerned about my health and took time to listen to me. I am very pleased with the service I was given.

debbie Brought my husband in with an unstable cardiac condition. We were told by the triage nurse use the kiosk to sign in. She just sat there. Im guessing she was waiting for patients to be discharged and a bed to open. So I signed him in and we sat. A woman in her 80s came in (with a walker) and was told the same thing. I got up and helped her. Disgusting treatment. No EMERGENCY SEVERITY INDEX was used. A violation of standards of practice set forth by professional agencies. The triage nurse told me to leave when she called my husband. I refused. She refused to let me answer questions for my husband even after he asked her to let me. Yes, he was that sick. She finally had to let me respond when he wasnt able. We get taken back. The RN started his IVs in incredibly awkward places even after she was told that his veins were fragile. She didnt listen. Both IV blew in less than 24 hours causing him unnecessary pain. She also snapped at me when I didnt answer a question with yes/no. She didnt allow me to answer the question fully and an appropriate medication was NOT ordered. Thankfully, the nursing staff at the hospital was more than fabulous. He was a full admit because he was that sick.

robert horan I went the Vero Beach facility and was thoroughly impressed with the expediency, professionalism and kindness of the entire staff. I was screened within 15 minutes, escorted to a treatment room and was on my way in less than 30 minutes. The facility is all-inclusive and probably saved me a day of waiting in an ER, thank you all for your attention. I will always use them if needed.
