Big Talbot Island State Park - Jacksonville (FL)

5 /5 Jessica Hollon-Tuell: The trail is longer than I expected, to get to the beach but it was a nice, pleasant walk. The beach itself was gorgeous! All the dead trees really gave it a mildly spooky, cool, ethereal vibe and the waves were so mild, we just chilled in the water for hours.

4 /5 Amy Plemons: We just visited the boneyard beach while we were there. Its a nice little trail with a beautiful beach. Unfortunately, the bugs were really bad. We were there at dusk, so Im not sure if that makes a difference. Its definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.

5 /5 Angelica Kajiwara: We visit this beach every year. Its stunning and worth the drive and walk. Youll need to easily 1/2 mile, flat sandy walkway to get to Black Rock Beach The sand is bright white and silky soft. Its spectacular! We took St. Johns Ferry across. Its pricey per car but worth the trip. Download the app to save a little. Bring a bucket for the tide pools.

5 /5 Carin Franey: A wonderful way to spend the day. Plenty of parking, picnic area is in shade, and outdoor shower. Restrooms available. We walked for 5 miles shell searching and found a few keepers. Great place to take your family.

5 /5 Lisa Killingsworth: Beautiful paths and hiking trails sprinkled throughout the park. We brought our pup and did the black rock trail. This trail is mostly packed sand and super easy for all ages. We saw some people riding bikes in the trail and that could get annoying with the sand, but its a short path. Since dogs arent allowed on the beach here we took turns checking out the driftwood, which is spectacular. There is a paved path that runs alongside the road which would be great for biking. Beautiful area.
