5 /5 Lydia Gillespie: Mr. Collazo, the NPS Park Guide in the visitor center, was extremely helpful and insightful. I was glad to get to chat with him about some of the lesser known conflicts in Florida’s history, and I will definitely be back to tour the grounds more thoroughly on a weekend. Beautiful views of the water and Florida landscape, and a candid, expansive, balanced telling of the history of the many people who lived on the property.

4 /5 StevePotts: update: My visit and subsequent review was done following COVID restrictions in 2023 and the property was not fully open. I look forward to a revisit soon. A beautiful plantation with nicely manicured grounds. The continuing preservation of the buildings and grounds was in progress at the time of my visit and not much was open to the public. But exploring the grounds provided information and evidence of life during those times.

5 /5 Brenda Sethman: My experience at the Kingsley Plantation was full of emotion. Being on the land & in the buildings that were worked & built by slaves had me in tears & sorrow at times & other times in amazement of the faith, determination and wit they had to carry on.

5 /5 Valerie Maccallum: Kingsleys house is the oldest plantation house still standing in Florida, and the solidly-built village of slave cabins is one of the best preserved in the United States. It is also "the oldest surviving antebellum Spanish Colonial plantation” in the United States. Quiet, lots of parking, picnic tables, a piece of not just Florida history but American history.
