5 /5 Ryan McKinley: My wife and I broke down on the way back to Texas on I-95 and we ended up having to get towed here. First and foremost, they actually answered the phone, which was great because most of the shops around didn’t even have anyone available to answer the phone. Everyone in the shop was very kind and courteous and the best part was they’re able to fix my brake issue and did it all for an extremely fair price. I really appreciate kind and honest service wherever I can get it so that’s why I’m taking the time to leave this positive review and if you ever need anything done, I would definitely take my car there because they have knowledgeable kind and first come first serve service.

1 /5 Ash kat: Waste of a trip. We asked to have our truck properly diagnosed to figure out why the check engine light was on. Instead, we were nearly overcharged for a catalytic converter—around $1,000—a price the front desk associate seemed to guess off the top of their head without a real inspection. They assumed we didn’t have the money to pay for it and pushed our vehicle to the side without completing a proper diagnosis. The actual issue was something completely different, and our truck was repaired elsewhere for just $240. Thank you to Hastings Automotive LLC for the honest service. This is the second vehicle I’ve taken to Hastings, and they’ve never steered me wrong. They are extremely knowledgeable, while the Duckworth employees seemed lost and almost surprised when expected to have real answers. We won’t be returning to Bill Duckworth for any future vehicle needs.

5 /5 Robert Taylor: I highly recommend coming here for all of your auto needs. Jason, Taylor and the mechanics worked very hard to get my serpentine belt put back on when the oem one would not work. They tried several different belts to make sure everything was working properly and kept me updated the entire time

1 /5 Karen Edwards: I am writing for the first time because I was deeply disappointed with my most recent experience. I have been a long time customer with this company. I have referred several friend and family members to this company over past 10+ years. You could not have told me that I would have had a unsatisfying experience at this store. So. last week my vehicle, stopped working. I called and asked the company to replace the alternator and battery. As in the past, I got a call stating what was wrong. I was told that it was just the battery and that it was replaced. So, I paid for the service and went on my way as I did in the past. But this time my vehicle stopped working again in less than 20 minutes of my leaving the store. I called the store and asked if the car was put on the machine. I was told no, and that their job was only to get the vehicle running again. But obviously the vehicle was not running. About an hour later, I called again and told the attendant that the alternator was smoking. I was ignored and told that it was coming from an oil leak. My question was how do you know where it was coming from and you cannot see the car or its engine. To make a long story short my concerns were ignored by the attendant but even more importantly I felt that if the store would have done what the customer (me) asked all of this could have been avoided. I also felt like their lack of a full diagnosis of my vehicle put my life in jeopardy. If I had made it to the highway and my vehicle stopped in the middle of the traffic, I may have been seriously hurt. And yes, I took the alternator off and three auto part stores told me the alternator was burt. In the future please pay attention to your customers, your lack of effort may just save their life. 1 /5 Winkles Terry (The Roaming Dad): Absolutely horrendous!!! We are RV travelers from out of town and recently needed some service. I had them do my front brakes even though they were the most expensive place in town simply due to convenience. Shortly after my fuel pump went out and I spoke with them about it. The mechanic told me he would get the owner to approve him to do this for $100 simply because of our situation. The owner, Jamie, refused and they quoted me $330 in labor for what books as a 2.5 hour job. I called around and even had O’Reilly deliver the part to me. I quickly noticed again they were the most expensive but this time by HUGE amounts. Another highly rated shop less than a mile away was $239.16 INCLUDING tax to do the repair. I went back into Duckworth tire and explained to them the difference in pricing and asked for them to even come down to $300 since I would have a $45 tow bill to move my car to the other shop. The office person, Jason, glared at me and stated “that’s our price and I’m not here to negotiate anything with you!” At this point I let him know I would just have it towed from their lot and review the situation. I then walked out and called a tow truck to come move my vehicle to the other shop. As the tow truck was loading my car the mechanic came out telling me the owner was on his way to talk to me because I threatened to do a negative review. My take on this place is that they’re way overcharging the locals and most certainly taking advantage of travelers in times of need. Even the tow operator told me Duckworth was known for overcharging people. Steer clear of this place at all costs!! Update. After this review went out the owner, Jamie, came to my camper threatening me with the Sheriff if I didn’t remove my reviews and videos. He stated “I own this town and what I say goes.” Additionally his employees came outside a started flipping off my teenage children.
